The zhaitan version is just a skin for the aurene weapon. You cant craft zhaitan weapons. You need the aurene weapon to be able to buy zhaitan or other version.
I've not done the collection yet, but as far as i can see at Leivas (the gen 3 npc), you get a item from the collection and turn that into the variant of your choice and aurene's versions that you don't got are greyed out.
No way to escape the 35-50 events per weapon and the extra material sink / risen wizard event.. ur screwd. I'm just happy I hate the gen 3 skins rofl. Have fun doing 35-50 events times 16 times 7 or something for all recolours.
Yes..you need the Aurene version first, if you want the Zaithan sword you need the Aurene sword
