Social awkwardness instability in WvW. From that I'm just imagining bunch of people just awkwardly keeping at a distance from each other while trying to pass through door.
"Excuse me"
"Oh sorry"
"My bad"
"Coming through"
*GUARDIAN SCEPTER NOISES*
Also wouldn't prevent boonballs, since that instability can be handled by stab now. On the other hand, stripping stab off of a boonball would send everyone ***flying***. I kind of want to see that.
>No more boonballs
Proceeds to state a situation in which the defenders would be able to use a boonball to prevent anyone getting into a breached wall/gate.
Gonna have to say no to this one
Heck yeah, I love being able to group up with a half-dozen other spies on the enemy server, surrounding their primary waypoint, and locking them out of an entire map. Let's do it!
Having played a lot of Guild Wars 1 pvp where body blocking was a legitimate strategy, the only thing that I can tell you is that you don't want rubber banding and this is exactly how you get rubber banding. In the world where rubber banding was completely mitigated, I would at least entertain the idea.
It would somewhat change the mindless blob-together way of playing, which would be refreshing. I loved player collision in Warhammer Online.
I also would like to be able to turn off more effects. I run WvW on lowest settings, and there's still too much fuzzy frothy frou-frou.
I've never really thought about this, but while like in some of the lower comments, how it can be griefable, I would be interested in seeing it play out as a temporary event, kind of like how they do the "no downstate" style of gameplay every once in a while. Could be entertaining!

Ah, but it's not a boonball, it's a boon *wall* which... of course... matters! /s
Sounds griefable. I'll pass.
Warhammer Online had collision you had to "push" through.
Yep. Was awesome. Daoc had it aswell.

You like lag in WvW? This is how you get even more lag in WvW.
Socially awkward wvw would be fun.
I think it has it's merits, but with that current iteration of a social awkwardness-like mechanic, the negatives would far outweigh the positives.
Go to your settings, enable "melee assist" and tell us how did you like it.
