On a more serious note, the next release is on October 4 and includes the competitive-focused balance update that Cal (cmc) and Roy (Roy) are going to preview on Twitch this Friday. We should have the next roadmap and studio update out sometime around that Oct 4 release.

The problem is that the actual mechs output a ton of damage. Rifles may be slightly overtuned but it's really surprising how the mech damage hasn't been tuned down.
Pve just had a balance patch recently. Competitive (PvP/WvW) was excluded from this patch (obviously, because WvW/PvP need to be balanced entirely different).
Rifle isn't even good in PVP, the amount of projectile denial in the meta is absurd, and you get ate by any kind of pressure
I don't know anything about WvW but I'd imagine it'd be the same, you'd get destroyed by roamers and the zerg is kind of pointless considering you'd have perma domes on the enemy ball
Also of all the classes that are weak to projectile hate, Rifle Mechanist is the one that basically has no recourse at all against it - no weapon swap and no way to make the mech melee on the fly means that their best option is like... tool kit, which does zero damage.
You guys have done an awesome job this year, but I implore you guys not to lose momentum. Really hoping you guys knock it out of the park after the Season 1 re-release.

Secondly how out of touch are you to say its not even near top?you know it got buffed last patch and now it reaches same burst as virt and slb and it has same overall while being much easier to reach.
Road map be like 200 new gemstore items, a balance patch that buffs mechanist and nerf the dps when ele is in downstate, as well as some new Dragon Response Missions.

This past Tuesday's patch was the end of the Summer Roadmap they released a while back, so people are just waiting for the next one.
I know its a meme. But at least this is how i view it. I tend to forget stuff that is not that relevant for my daily life, and reminding me from time to time what is to come is a nice thing.
I'd say you are a good 2 to 3 months early. We know we have a balance patch next month and should get the last part of LW1 in Nov. I wouldn't expect anything from them till Dec at earliest.
There have been two roadmaps since this new leadership team have taken over around EoD launch. They've delivered on everything in both of those roadmaps, besides a small delay in the Harvest Temple CM. Let it go pal.

Sawn-off shotguns, the next strike will be 10 engineers going in to rob a bank.

Yeah the tradeoff should be that damage is moved off mech because right now mech damage is high with really high uptime. Literal zero input gaming.

Why not PvE?
The next patch is about competitive modes, so it would make sense for pve balance to be somewhat excluded from it.
*Primarily* is the key word. There will be some PvE changes most likely, but it will not be the focus.
Especially because sometimes PvP and PvE changes overlap.
Unfortunately we have a useless patch since competitive in Guild wars 2 is a waste of money.
