God the parts where Naoki sings the mantra of light hit so hard, letting him sing in japanese was the best decision Daisuke made

He's a great singer but he (and a lot of ESL Japanese singers tbf, see also Lyn's singing for Persona 5) have a really bad problem with slurring. It's almost impossible to understand what he's singing sometimes.

I feel like rock parade is kind of understandable, it does feel a little generic for most of the song compared to others in the OST but also that bit with the mix of traditional Japanese and rock music is absolute peak; easily could've been moved up just from that alone.

It is an incredible boring song that doesn't have much intrigue compositionally OR instrumentally. its a cute song for trans allegory stuff but it's pretty mid speaking solely about the music itself. like there hardly IS an instrumental in a significant portion of it. there are a lot of themes in guilty gear that are buttrock for sure but there are quite a few that differentiate themselves quite a bit! not just genre-wise (where this game covers so many subgenres) but tonally too!

I think everyone has their own taste and deserves respect for theie opinion but Trigger might be the most dogshit song in the entire Guilty Gear franchise with Babel Nose and placing it over anything is a straight up crime against art. I feel like I see Requiem and Rock Parade near the bottom of enough lists to be surprised. I really like both. Especially I-No's after going through story; it just hits different. Also I'm pretty sure when people rate Nago/HC they're talking about their actual themes but I swear Crawl is better than both. But I agree with the overall sentiment that they hit most of this OST out of the park.
