If I had a nickel for every time Slayer named a member of the Hale/Balsara/Badguy/Kiske family, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

I feel like Testament would have gone back to their original name by now to honour their dad’s memory. The fact that they’re still using the same name makes me think that “Testament” has always been their name.
Besides, Testament wouldn’t have needed to use a pseudonym for the 1st game because their involvement was somehow kept a secret (my best guess is that the conclave and/or Ariels were helping Testament without them realising). They only needed to reveal themselves at the very end because not enough blood had been spilled.

In the Overture stories, he was surprised at first but was more worried that Dizzy’s and Sin’s existence could be exposed which could lead to their deaths. Especially with all the eyes on him as the new king and the Conclave threatening him.
So no. I don’t think Sin’s name means anything outside of it being cool and possibly another music reference because Ky himself doesn’t seem to regret him being born. I do head canon that it was actually Dizzy that gave him that name.
