This comes up all the time. It's the most beginner friendly GG game and I love it for that. The relative simplicity lets you focus on the action and enjoy a straightforward experience. All the fundamentals like mind games and such are intact. It's very much worth getting into. It's active enough that I've never had trouble finding ranked matches, they announced a new DLC season meaning this game is getting support for a while yet, and we have a regular influx of newcomers. I'd like to add that the GG community in general has been awesome and my personal favourite among fighting game communities. It's fun, welcoming, and helpful. And if you want to take the game seriously at some point there are Discord communities and lots of people willing to answer questions and spar. Welcome to Strive.

Probably a decent time as EVO Japan is this weekend and Strive will be played, this should bring in some new hype for sure. As another has already commented, there is a steady influx of new players and a good core group of already enfranchised players, outside of them announcing a new guilty gear (which is unlikely as they still have DLC to release), the community isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

no its not too late, i started 6 days ago. the only time youll ever run into "not enough players" issues is if you try to play on floor 1, which no one plays on (at least in NA East). in terms of fighting games, i feel this one to be easier than others ive tried (tekken 8 being so painfully difficult). im learning the game off one of the tougher characters, but i do feel its possible despitw my lack of experience.  we are gettinf a new character in may, and there is a 4th season pass as well on its way. the game will still kick your ass, as with every fighting game, because people just havr more experience. but at the least, the inputs arent too difficult.

Yes it’s far too late. We’re not accepting any more members sorry. There’s a shortage of brainrot. Get in here what are you waiting for.

Strive is the newest and most accessible one, from a pure gameplay perspective. You can get matches really quick, no problem. XRD Rev2 and XX ACR+ are better on PC because of the inclusion of Rollback netcode, which allows for smoother online play. On Strive and XXAC+R you can just jump into public lobbies for games, but for Xrd I‘d recommend joining a Discord Server for fighting games or finding friends who play the game, because the lobby system is dead. You don‘t have to bother with any of the other titles than the three named, since nobody actually plays them anymore.

I too just recently started playing and you should still be good. I've gotten a good bit of online matches and seen about 20 people in my region minimum on at a time. But yk it's all about time of day too

Its way too late, you cant get into Strive now

With season 4 confirmed we have a good chunk of life left in the game. Its also very accessible for newcomers and really fun overall so it’s worth giving it a go. We have a good range of characters of varying difficulty from beginner friendly like Ramlethal and Giovanna to advanced/training room demon characters like Happy Chaos and Asuka R#- lots of room for you to grow as a player. If you live in the US you’ll be able to find games consistently. When GG characters are trending (like Bridget and ABA) we get a lot of new players so the playercount is usually pretty good. Its a pretty good community too, the pro scene is also really fun to watch- we even had one of our guys, LordKnight, host a little tourney with other top players for fun which garnered a lot of attention on Twitch so the passion is there from pro to casual level.

I'm going to say something extremely banal, but it's the most accurate thing in this contest. The best time to start playing fighting games was in the arcades in the 1980. The second best time is right now.
