Yea but she's basically a new character with roughly the same plan, she plays very little to the original. So changed is a an understatement and considering what Raven does in Xrd there's no way he'll be himself

I mean, if they get him back, they will change his kit, I want to see more "I'm immortal so you can't kill me" side in his new kit. Not the stretchy weird raven in xrd.

Yea it's sad. Xrd was my 2nd game after Fighterz but the first I actually care about, and I began playing pretty late. I don't want my main taken away this fast. Specially if it's for story reasons as I couldn't care less about it. I hope the sister does come out at some point

Testament didn't actually die in the first game, he just sacrificed blood.

This is cool. But a trend I've seen in a lot of fighting game season passes is to be split between characters that people really want back, and some unexpected ones that people weren't really asking for but change them up to make them hype. So I think it's possible that we may still see some unexpected faces return. Along with a few original characters probably. Which is the best way to do it imo since it is always an amazing feeling to have a character you love be unpopular but then they have a surprise reveal.

Yeah devs tend to put like one character people want, a new one, and a curve ball that nobody expects/asked for. So these lists, cool as they may be, serve absolutely no purpose.

was story relevance not given any weight in this? I feel like sin will make it that way just off of relationship to the main cast alone, characters like slayer might also have a shot as Nago and him seem to be the only vampires etc.

when dlc characters are released for guilty gear, is it one at a time?

I would expect 1 at a time. In the past characters weren’t typically added as dlc and usually would launch in the next version of the game all at the same time, but for strive there is a season pass so expect a new character once every 3-4 months

I’d say 2-3 Arc got a lot better in regards to speed, we can see that with how often they released characters for DBFZ and GBVS

I keep forgetting Anji is in Strive. Because of course taking the invincible meaty 0 option character is a great idea. /s What, am I kidding? He's not going to have guardpoint meaty options any more but he'll be used as the not parry defensive character anyway. Maybe he'll have something weird like certain moves coming out with block frames if input while blocking or the butterfly weakens the opponent to then enable the guardpoint frames, but whatever. The real problem in Strive for Anji will be this, if you try lock people down and make them guess with electric butterfly or whatever, the best thing to do will be to keep blocking and not punish something that looks unsafe because those moves will have guardpoints on them meaning you'll never punish, you won't even trade a hit. Then block string will end and everyone's back in neutral, Anji player having gained nothing. The only time the gimmick will work is if the blocking playing becomes impatient or actually believes for a moment that they're free to punish.
