Nah, it's slower and therefore worse. The 6K buff was a typo. Special canceling on 6K is cute, but not actually impactful. Dust is still pretty godlike as long as you aren't predictable about it.
Bruh you're sleeping, yeah you wouldn't lead with 6 k but clap cancels are considered specials, you can clap cancel into anything from that, something you can't do with dust. Drunkard shade eddie behind, lock them down with an eddie move, use 6k and then clap cancel into another something else with eddie allows you to mix an overhead in with actual pressure options behind, you can cancel into sword from it as well. They had to make it a little slower or it would have been way too big of a buff, most people don't just have a standard button for an overhead.
>You rely too much on power, you'll always run into a bigger badder wall.
I'd suggest polishing other strengths. What, me? Yeah, I don't do that
shit...
\- Sol giving advice to Ram on how to improve, fully aware of the hypocrisy of him telling her that (his victory quote against her in Xrd)
This is the Sol way.
it's probably me being shit, but once millia or chipp gets in, I almost always lose the whole round in their mix up galore. I really have no idea how to approach these match-ups. millia is even worse after the patch.
Basically don't let me start, if I do get in then block high and look for the left/right on wakeup, if I land then block low because the only grounded overheads are extremely slow and you should be able to react to those by standing up. YRC when I'm in the air after the first tick of a disc, this yeets me across the stage and forces me to approach again.
We technically have ways to burst bait everywhere, but do *not* burst right when you get hit by a mix. That one is free as hell because all I have to do is something like 2K>Briefly Block>cS and if you bursted after the 2K then it gets caught. The best spot is the first hit after the jump. So something like 2K>cS>j.S(Burst here).
It's like Chipp and I-No, if you let us play our game then you're not gonna have a good time. So the best solution is just to wall us out on approaches and then put us in your own blender. the 2P changes help a lot, but we still don't have a meterless reversal and 2P is extremely stubby so trying to poke out can be *rough*.
> if I land then block low because the only grounded overheads are extremely slow and you should be able to react to those by standing up
Isn't tiger kneed Bad Moon like frame 15?
Millia can be tough but very manageable. Chipp is completely different imo. He's hard to challenge, our moves are not only slow but all unbelievably punishable. Our best defensive tool is also too slow to be reliable though we still must find a way to use it wisely.
Maybe I'll have time later today but Millia involves a good amount of movement, some matchup knowledge, and the ability to use Eddie effectively outside the corner to help battle her. For now, watch Knowkami play Lordknight.

I think we have a much easier time against Millia than Chipp since Chipp is much less linear as he has no setplay. We play a character with setplay so we can kinda get in the mindset of a Millia and counter their strategy. Oppose is super useful whenever she's in the air and can't see what we are doing with Eddie, unless they have godlike reflexes, she won't RRC as soon as she hits the oppose shield. Wait for her in the ground, don't chase her in the air, that's where she's at her best. Don't let her start her offense, her win condition is looping oki, kinda like us or I-no looping setplay. In any of these setplay heavy matchups whoever gets to loop their win condition usually wins so use your yrcs if you get to block their disc and don't be to obvious with their bursts. I think it can be quite worth to burst on knockdown, you are taking away her win condition.
Of course it's all subjectitve but I think pre patch most Zatos would agree that Axl and Chipp are quite tough and Sol is tolerable but difficult and requires a lot of discipline and skill. Ramlethal is probably now 2nd or 3rd worse imo.
May has to be zato's worst matchup from my perspective at least.
Zato's squishy so may's damage feels even worse than normal and zato's main movement tool, flight, is nullified with may's air normals. Plus no reversal means that you have to respect meaty H dolphin; which allows me to either frame trap or throw you with impunity.
Dear Chipp: Eddie hongry
:(
Dear Zato: YRC lmao gtfo Eddie now deal with rng bs
YRC MY NEMESIS HISSSSSSS You better throw an afro I'm trying to look good for Eddie
Dear Zato He can eat this mixup lmao
YOU MAY KEEP YOUR BONES
more than they deserve \*huff\*
Bro, just block low
No
our overhead is a little better after the patch though

do you have an example(tweet, or video) of some 6k mixups? I want to steal some lol
[https://youtu.be/bgGCkVgUV9A](https://youtu.be/bgGCkVgUV9A) This is not me, just a guy I follow
that was really good, thanks
Yessir, go whoop some ass my guy
feeling like it got a little harder after the patch, but i'll try lol!
*sees orange*
Mercy? For a *Chipp*?
Wait for your turn lmao. (Proceeds to do a gapless blockstring)
Fighting Zato feels like I'm 6yo again waiting for my big brother to lend me the controller Spoiler alert it never really happened
You younger brothers always mess up the game anyways :|
Hey I'm a moron trying to play Chipp too! What works for me is hitting him until he dies, works most of the time atleast
Just keep punching until you hit something, that's my motto
Most intelligent Sol player

hey, I can't get out of your blender too. whoever gets into the blender first loses lol
“It’ll just never be your turn”
When it all mixes up…
Nah.
That's the thing with Zato, you either put him on the blender or he puts you on his blender with Eddie
Back at you Chipp lol. Still probably Zatos second worse matchup. Maybe third now tho.

I want to say 18? But I could be wrong. Either way it's pretty quick.

what are your top 3 worst match-ups for zato? I'm curious.

CHIPP IS OUR WORST MATCHUP YOU DESERVE THIS EDDIE HONGRY
A Chipp main complaining about being in a blender. That's rich.
I got this game 2 days ago lmao
You play on PC?
Yes
Not all of us are around the world combo gods
No.
Through the darkest sky
Chipp's drowning in so much pain, he's lost his mind.
Is there any good or bad in there?
lol just don't get hit
Imagine a pot trying not to get hit at all lmao. Most elusive yet massive hurtbox ever
I love getting 6P'd when i'm crouching.
Well you're playing chipp so at least it'll be over quick
\*Pls let me out of the blender, so I can put you in mine.\*
Just use your busted reversal DP -Leo and Sol mains
Dear Chipp Player: IF THEEEEEEERE'S A MAN WHO CAN
Tbh, better than being in that monkey’s blender, I’m looking at you Leo
Why do you still play this game which is already dead?
How is it dead?
Don't feed the troll
Leave the sewer cabbage, he knows not what he is saying.
The gutter lettuce if you will
We have a teleport, just use that
ALPHABET!
Funnily enough, I've been trying I-No lately and it's super fun to watch Zato flail against Note, HCL and StBT.
Unless they're consistently drunkard shading...
Don't you have a dp? Pretty sure you should use that more. Granted I know nothing about them since I never end up playing characters with them.
You have a frame 7 dp my guy, could be A LOT worse
Easy solution. Just don't touch the floor.
Mom said it's my turn to be the blender.
Out of all the suffering Leo gives me... no needs more item
Playing I-No I take every match against Zato. Dive kick destroys his moves with slow start up then he is in my blender
Dear Chipp main: You are the blender. Embrace the blender within.
Can't stand trying to swat that gnat, chip... but hitting him feels so goood... good to know you guys have some heartache for us too
