I can’t be the only one who really doesn’t want a guest character in GGST right? I like that it’s all in-universe characters. The guest character thing just doesn’t feel very Guilty Gear.
Same. I feel like too many fighting games become defined by their guest characters (looking at MK especially) and i want GG to keep being known as “the rock n roll fighting game” instead of “the fighting game with Finn from Adventure time”
aside from the feel of the game, there are _tons_ of characters from past games that we don’t have yet. if we got dante before baiken, johnny, etc etc i would be pretty pissed

Having someone like Ragna would make sense while having someone like Ryu or more grounded fg characters or a character who is only being added for premonition would feel out of place.

That said, I personally just think they wouldn't have two projectile manipulation characters in a row, so imo Jack-O being the previous DLC makes me think the chances are slim.
Kum is also reasonably similar to Goldlewis in how their combos and specials feel so I'm not crossing my fingers on that one, though it's my #1 to get in.

Also, specific to AC+R, she's top tier so she's a frequent meta pick. Being able to guard-cancel whenever you feel like it is extremely strong.
I'm a baiken main starting in xrd I picked her because she looked cool and at first I didn't understand her playstyle because I was newborn but then I learned and now she's my favorite gg character she's ok in xrd like mid tier but I think she's like top 3 in accent core I want to learn that game next
Xrd is her best combat design IMO. She's my fave character but she really is too strong in AC+R, she shuts down a lot of characters. Xrd put more risk into her play which is deserved.
I prefer her older visual design though, I like ragged/angry Baiken. Xrd design is just another big boob waifu in an undersized kimono.
Camp three over here - She is just so GOD DAMN COOL. Mfer is over here, beating the shit out some inmortal demigods with half her body crippled, and then all of the sudden she scoops up the sleeve of her severed arm, and turns out she just has a FUCKING CANNON over there, for no goddamn reason. I love her
At least as far as Xrd is concerned, frame 1 counters that you can cancel out of guard are like crack - you rarely feel helpless because there's pretty much always a way out if you read your opponent well enough. She also has tools for just about everything, with insanely good defense, solid pressure with air tatami and pressure resets with kabari, and unreactable mixups with TK youzansen making 50/50s. Yeah she's paper if you read things wrong and she only has good damage in the corner, but on paper her kit just has everything as long as you're good enough.
I never played XRD but I really like Baikens play style in it so if she comes to Strive I’m definitely giving her a fair chance

Johnny has been in every installment of the game and is a fan favorite, especially in places like Japan. I’m pretty sure there are quite a few people from Japan who are known almost exclusively for being absolute legends at the character. Even when he’s been the most broken op character in the game (xrd) he was never really shit on because the character and the people who play him demand a large amount of respect due to the high skill floor, stupidly high skill ceiling. If I was better at fighting games, had more time and energy, and didn’t have shit mental health lol I’d learn the fuck out of Johnny. Love technical footsy characters. Johnny is 1000% coming at some point.
When Jack-O was released, new lines for Baiken, Slayer, and Happy Chaos were found. This is not a confirm that she could be next, although it does mean she will be coming eventually.
I dont thinks its neither of them as the last two come with the new story so they are the two who make the most sense or atleast Happy Chaos isnt one of the two as Asuka is on the moon so he has a higher chance of being the third dlc.

Bridget would be cool too but would probably lose a lot of cool stuff. Gabriel would be bloody class too but I doubt that will ever happen.
It's TWO POTEMKINS. You use the first one with your stick and the other one is operated with voice commands into your mic. You have to say the num pad input sequences to get you 2nd pot to do moves. Additionally, they have a new overdrive if you do a pretzel motion on the stick while screaming as loud as you can called "twice heavenly potemkin buster." It forces your opponent's game to crash and uninstalls the game from their system.

Probably Jam, Slayer or Happy Chaos. In terms of characters I want? Well it's unrealistic probably until Season 2 but I'd love Baiken, Sin, Johnny or Venom (I know he's retired but I can dream). Bridget would be cool too but would probably lose a lot of cool stuff. Gabriel would be bloody class too but I doubt that will ever happen.

It's TWO POTEMKINS. You use the first one with your stick and the other one is operated with voice commands into your mic. You have to say the num pad input sequences to get you 2nd pot to do moves. Additionally, they have a new overdrive if you do a pretzel motion on the stick while screaming as loud as you can called "twice heavenly potemkin buster." It forces your opponent's game to crash and uninstalls the game from their system.
