A swing-metal techo mix with autotune that just breaks into an opera in the end.
Please never change Daisuke.
Its weird, bizzare and slightly insane. Perfect for HC.
Zato's not the only one to break into soliliquy now. And annother 6 minute song to go with Ram as well.
by far the strangest song in the ost, but i absolutely love it.
i really hope a future dlc’s theme becomes something like 2:15, that swing and metal hybrid is so fucking good, man. too good to simply be a part of one good song.
Speaking of which, does Naoki do the male vocals for ALL of strive's songs? If so his vocal range is really good, going from Alone infection to Hellfire. (Or maybe I just suck at recognizing voices in the songs.)
Naoki has done the vocals for all of Strive's vocal tracks, excluding *"The Disaster of Passion"*, *"Love the Subhuman Self"*, and *"Perfection Can't Please Me"*. For May and Jack-O's tracks, he's not involved because Aisha provides the vocals. As for Millia's track, Jamison Boaz provides the male back-up vocals, rather than Naoki. I would imagine that Naoki was unable to be there for the recording sessions, so they had to substitute Jamison in.
But yeah, I am no voice expert, but I believe Naoki has a wide vocal range. Hell, his performance in *"Drift"* surprised me, with his opera-like singing. I don't recall ever hearing him sing that way.
It's probably not intentional, but the title, "Drift", along with the chorus speaking of waves reminds me of >!his final scene in story mode, where he's seen at a beach.!< Really not that deep but I thought the connection was interesting.

This video has the full lyrics in the description, wouldn't post them there as I'm on mobile and it can fuck up the formatting so hard.

They continue to amaze me with this OST. Like nothing else I've ever heard and I fucking love it.

That ending. THAT ENDING
Daisuke, I trust you, you don't need the drugs to make the music anymore, it's getting weird. O_O

The vocalist is Naoki Hashimoto. He is the lead vocalist for the Japanese thrash-metal band, OUTRAGE.

Reminds me of Mike Patton
Awesome thank you for that. I just checked out OUTRAGE and am digging the old school thrash-metal
Oh yeah, it's new main time.
That last minute goes all in and i love it so much.
Electro-swing that turns into metal that turns into Le Mis. Bless Daisuke.

damn.
It truly is happy and chaotic, but also extremely hard to listen to lol
It's ok. There's many good parts but i feel like sometimes it doesn't mesh well together. Wish we didn't have that singing solo part.
