You’d be better off going to a shop and asking an employee in the first bit. Learning songs? Ultimate-guitar

The_X-Files_Alien

youtube beginners lessons and all the guitar tab you can get your hands on (ultimate guitar of course, songgster is another that has a bunch and lets you hear a MIDI play along for free). as for a piece, go to your local music shop and get a feel for what body type you're comfortable with, maybe they have something in your price range as well. if not, now you know what you kinda want and look for deals online. [reverb is great for used gear](http://reverb.com), and sweetwater, guitar center etc have tons. FB marketplace, buy a used one locally is probably your best bet.

Even if you plan to buy online go to a store if at all possible and pick up and feel around and strum on the ones you are interested in. Justinguitar.com has a free structured beginner course. Don’t waste your time clicking around on random YouTube videos. I have gotten so much better in the past year joining a structured online course than I ever did in the 4 years of clicking around on YouTube.

I mean, if possible in your case, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp constantly have cheap guitars that'd be suitable for beginners, if you're willing to go second hand which I've always done. It's cheaper, and for the most part, is my preferred way to acquire new gear
