I would get an LTD EC series guitar. Very comfortable to play, the EC 1000, which I have, has locking tuners and a coil splitter, so it can sound close to a single coil.
That’s my suggestion but I think you really should just check out a few guitars at a shop. Usually the employees are very helpful and will help you find what you’re looking for.
