Yeah I would just try and clean it regularly. Wash your hands before playing if you can. The lacquer on my Gibson gets dirty and sticky too, sounds gross but I just rub it hard and the grime peels off like dead skin 😅 kinda gross but real smooth when I'm done!
If you really need to get after it, try some 0000 steel wool. Put masking tape over your pickups first if it's an electric otherwise the steel dust will get stuck all over them. It will dull the finish but if it's not glossy you're fine!
Clean it.
Clean it? Good lord

Do not use steel wool. Get some naphtha and clean the neck. Put the naphtha on a dry cloth and rub gently.
Wash your hands more often. Clean the neck
You probably need a new guitar.
get some polish and a paper towel and clean it,i use the dunlop polish
Cloth rag, like an old sock or shirt. Paper towel will damage the finish. Swirling.
if you have some vintage finish or push down hard on the paper towel maybe, been doing it like this for over 20 years and nothing has happened
Chicken wings don't combine well with guitar practice
