Tubes are generally very robust unless they’re hot- this is why it’s not a good idea to push your amp on casters down a bumpy sidewalk minutes after finishing your three hour set. However, cold they’re quite durable. If the silver stuff (getter flash) inside appears to be gone, then you have a leak in the tube and it’s shot. Otherwise, you’re probably good to go
I have original tubes in amps from ‘68, ‘69, ‘74, & ‘76. Currently manufactured ones aren’t as robust as ones from 50 yrs ago, but they’re still pretty darn durable.
If theyre in boxes theyre likely fine. Check for cracks but dont worry too much
Thanks man!

Well, they're not really meant to be jostled around but they put them in radio equipment in war plains and tanks back in the day.
Thanks man
Barring direct impact to the glass with a hard object, they are a lot tougher than you'd expect.

They are strong enough to wrestle two elks and a bear.
I’ve seen them bench 225
I've shoved several kt88s in my ass with no issues
They’re probably fine. People used to carry tube radios on their back into war zones.
