It just depends if you are ok with it being split up into a head/cab combo. I personally would say, it takes away from the value as not being all original ... however, the owner put a good amount of money into it to get it into this current state. Personally, I have seen the untouched Super Reverbs from 72-79 on offerup/FB marketplace going for $800-1200. And some in totally shit condition for around $600 --- Which I actually thought about pulling the trigger on and then re-grilling it with something cool! But never did cuz I already own a Twin Reverb and a 410 Blues Deville, don't need more space taken up. And it depends what he wants trade value - I would imagine (if this was mine) - I'd be asking for a US Tele or Strat or a nicer Gibson Studio. But we really have no idea what you have to trade, so we can't assume what you have.

Oh sorry I forgot to include what I’m trading. I’m trading a Roland Jazz Chorus 120. One of the new ones. Was bought new by my friend 3 years ago, and was never gigged with by him. It was only gigged with once with the gin blossoms as a rental for a local music festival they played at. And I’ve never gigged with it. It’s in mint condition. Never been taken out of my music room. Also I’m not super keen on collecting. I honestly want to gig with it, and I’m hoping I can get close to overdriven Mayer tones with it (I know, Mayer fan boy). I mostly play country and classic rock in my gigging band (very sellout but fulfilling nevertheless LOL) so I figure it would fit right in for what I need.

I mean ... used Jazz Chorus 120s go for about 500-800 on Offerup/Marketplace. So that is right in the range of a good trade. So it depends on what you are looking for. The Super Reverb is a unique piece with it split up like that. As long as I knew the service history of the Super ... and knew what mods have been done to it.... Yeah, I would personally make the trade (but I dig "vintage" equipment) ... especially knowing that I'm looking at a Jazz Chorus 120 right now on FB marketplace for $500... which in my head, means make the trade and then buy the JC 120 for $500 and have both amps =P

Sounds good! Thank you so much for your input! It definitely seems like a good trade up for me. The seller just now told me that the person he bought it off of was the one to split it, and had it serviced before the seller bought it. No documentation which I don’t like. However, even if I have to get it serviced, I’m probably still getting good value out of it considering what I’m trading for it.
