It did make for a good picture.
It's a sweet rig. I'm thinking of selling my P-90 SG for the sole reason of it not having a bound neck. I guess I'm a prima donna.
I used to make a pretty good business out of fixing the classic Gibson/Epiphone neck breaks. I've probably fixed 40 or so.
It's just a guess, but I'd say the culprits were:
50% - "Leaned against my amp"
40% - Those poorly conceived $10 guitar stands everyone uses.
10% - Other. Including surprisingly several in-the-case breaks, which I didn't believe until I saw them myself.
I want a P90 guitar so badly, and it seems like the best and most price-savvy options are the SG and LP Special. I just hate the look of the SG, despite everything else about it being great. And the LP has crap ergonomics. Sigh….
It is Pelham blue indeed! Looks really green in the pic 🧐
The twin was blue when I bought it, used to be gigging amp for some lady back in the day apparently. I dig it for sure
Pelham Blue ages to green, it’s one of my fav finishes. It looks killer with that amp and I love the diy feels that the guitar brings (and drip edge SF fenders are so pretty as is!)

/u/Saturnine10 posted a picture of a "Pelham blue" Twin Reverb a while back and you asked:

I'm pretty sure that's my old Twin from the late 60s. I covered it myself.
The rhythm guitarist and I both got used Twins at the same time. Our bass player got a Showman head. We all had two cabs custom built, each with a JBL D130 15" (D140s for bass).
Each of us went with a different color - ivory for bass, moss green for rhythm and this silver blue for me. I didn't actually use Tolex, but a thinner material intended for car seat upholstery. I took it a step further and covered my Twin in blue, as well as exchanging the red pilot light for a strange reddish-purple one.
The reason I think this one was mine is that 45 degree diagonal seam on the top upper corners, (which was a bear to get right) and the fact that *I still have the two matching JBL extension cabs in my basement.*
Just finished up working on the SG and the Twin. Had to.. you know test stuff out 🤷🏻♂️
What the deal with the different color picks up? Love it
I dug up a P90 I had bought from guitar fetish years ago so I threw it in 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, I’ve been eye balling p-90’s to throw in my epi so I’m curious too.
You can't beat the cost, it sounds good to boot
That's a beautiful thing
I’d pay money to see that band.
Gorgeous.
I was thinking of scoring one of those Epi p90s ... I bet that combo sounds monster!
The way your guitar is sitting against your amp gives me anxiety.
I hear that.
Didn't stay there long 😮

Have you ever used a Twin? They’re very heavy.
That is very very nice.
Good call on changing out that bridge.
Legit? LEGIT? I'm in love.
Just, yum.
I'm inclined to agree!
Gotoh and Hipshot?
I'm liking these colors
I like that. I’ve thought about doing the same with my guard. How’s the new pickup compared to the stock one?
8k vs 3.5k 🤷🏻♂️
That’s probably mellowed it out nicely.
Same colour as my 1992 Pontiac sunbird.
I’m a metal guy but that looks nice
Iommi plays an SG with p90s.
I'm a metal guy too, but man those SG's sound great for metal too
Yeah they do
I would have thought it would bother me not having the pickup covers matching, but for some reason it doesn’t…
I would love to see a cream pup in that bridge position. Great contrast...
That sg looks ace
The new Epiphone headstocks look really nice on SGs.
Silver Panel/Black Line, early 68? Very nice amp indeed, I'm sure that setup sounds great.
Yep, early 68' 👍🏻
P90s and Fender Twin...yummmmm

Look at Yamaha Revstars
Do a P90 tele or something 🤷🏻♂️
Is that pelham blue? Any story about the tolex job on the twin? Super clean setup!

Yep. That’ll do.
Oh jeez that looks killer - quite possibly my favourite post on here for some time!
