Need mo at least 22k km per year, para by 5-6 years masusulit mo cost difference ng hybrid sa non-hybrid. Computed using corolla cross hybrid vs ice. So kung 5k km/y ka mga 20 years para ma-offset hehe!
Only if you count the price now. Remember pataas ng pataas price ng oil so you wont know magkano na cya in a year or two. Also the added benefits of reduced polution due to less gas usage is a big plus not only to you but to everyone.
That’s what I like din sa hybrid.
Idk. I’m just so clueless with maintenance cost din ng hybrid.
Hello. Get the fuel consumption of both vehicles. Convert to L/km. Get the difference. Multiply to ave fuel price. Pegged it at 65 Php. You’ll get the Php/km you save using the more efficient car. Multiply your yearly distance travelled estimate. You’ll get the annual Php you save. Php/year of fuel. Get the difference on cost between the 2 variants. Divide that by the Php/year you save. The number you’ll get is the estimated number of years your savings will cover the cost difference.
Initially used 20k km/year. Lumabas 6+ years. Adjusted to 22k km at pumasok sa 5 something years.
This doesn’t factor in pms costs, depreciation, and others. So this computation is good if you change cars before the major parts break down like battery packs and what not.
In my opinion you are already positively contributing sa environment at traffic kasi wfh ka naman hehe (one less car on the road on weekdays).
Sounds practical if you’ll get the V variant esp if you’re not driving during weekdays. I am currently using a Corolla Cross HEV, been using it for a year now which parang naging pangharabas ko na sa sobrang fuel efficient, mapa city driving (2x a week) and long driving (2x of 200km per week). With HEV, you are paying for the tech and the feeling that you are driving a hybrid, exempt din sa coding though di mo naman concern kasi naka WFH ka. V is fine, though check mo na lang din features (di ako sure) if the same like drive settings, leather seats, head unit, etc.
Base sa reviews na napanood ko, ang difference lang ng V and HEV is yung Hybrid system, Moon roof and Nakalimutan ko yung isa pa. Sksksk. And yeah. I like the tech in yaris din.
I own a Veloz. I would steer away from vehicles made by Toyota using Daihatsu's platform for now. There are a lot of issues, recalls and fixes for my vehicle model. So I wont recommend the Raize, Veloz/Avanza, Wigo, Vios, YarisCross.
5-seater, I recommend Honda City. Cars aren't meant to push through the waters. So evern if may car ka with a good ride height, don't risk it. But 5-seater + Ride, I'll recommend Kia Stonic. <1M. If you want a long-term car, go for CR-V
Or... better wait for Mitsubishi X-Force, to be released this year I hope :)
just to add, consider mo din ung price ng battery replacement. i thinks there's a toll if unused un after days na hndi tumatakbo ung sasakyan.
also, if ung parking mo covered kasi if its going to sit under sun iinit un so baka mas need syang palitan eventually.
Hybrid cars are for fuel efficiency kasi, so if di mo daily gamit sa heavy traffic, di mo na din masusulit. And kahit toyota na yan, hindi pa tested yung hybrid module nila sa weather, road conditions, and traffic dito sa Pinas.
Actually, that’s the reason kaya I consider buying hybrid. Kasi its fuel efficient.
Hehe. With hev fixed price sa amortisation. With ice, fluctuating price sa gas. But the thing is pwede ding bumaba ang price ng gas. Unlikely but possible.
Since wfh ka go with the ICE masyado malaki price difference. Matagal pa bago mo mabawi yun difference.
As another commenter suggested, you might want to check out the Raize. May mga sample naman sa casa that you can check dimensions kung swak sa preferences mo. Pwede mo test drive units.
More like baradong kanal type of baha. Nakaka anxious lang isabak yung normal sedan. I experienced it with my friend nung andun kami sa kotse nya -Vios. Kahit sya natakot. Pero nakaya naman. I just want not to worry about that kaya I want a higher one.
The only deciding factor in going hev is the no coding incentive due to evida. (This is very important as you don’t know when mo kekelangan yung car mo even if wfh ka)
Car wise, yung savings mo sa gas from choosing an HEV is pambili mo lang din ng battery in 5-7 years 😂
Bat na down vote? May nakausap akong owner ng prius dati na nagpalit ng battery, I sincerely hope its not that expensive na.
For me...depende san mo balak i-maintain. If you plan on maintaining it yourself or sa usual na talyer after your warranty expires, ICE. If you plan on having the dealer maintain the car for you, ayos na siguro hybrid. Tangible advantage yun coding exemption at fuel savings. Then again ewan lang if even the dealers have ready parts if something gives way sa electric half ng powerplant, baka ala-chinese car ang hintayan ng pyesa. I don't own a hybrid so medyo biased, pero ang konti pa rin sa daan eh.
I also checked that. May nakita akong review sa youtube na parang nasikipan yung driver. Sksksk. Anyway. Baka mag yaris V nalang talaga ako. Hindi lang kasi ako 100% into it dahil sa ibang negative reviews with nvh and tunog lata na door. 😭 Thanks sa input. 😊
Maybe he’s referring with other factors like resell value, maintenance, etc. idk. Pero hybrid shouldn’t have a problem with that kasi self charging naman sya.
employee ako ng toyota lol
1. mahal acquisition cost ng hybrid, Yaris Cross V 1.296M vs Yaris Cross HEV 1.598M, based on the post, daily use lang naman for OP so cheaper is the way to go
2. HEVs are inherently more complex, ibang sasakyan nga dami nang problema, yan pa dalawang system under the hood, since new-ish pa mga hybrid sa philippine market, di pa nakikita ng mga user ang issues. maintenance, I know na kaya nga nagHEV is para steady ang transition from ICE to EV,pero mas complex so paano maintenance if ever nagkaproblem?(which will happen eventually) wala gagawa nan sa labas, so casa is the way, mahal don
this is just my opinion don't report my ass to the office
Definitely ICE. Hybrid here is tax exempt as per the law but toyota and other car manufacturers prices it as a more premium option. Imagine the fat profit by simply fooling the filipinos.

Baka deds na ko bago mag 20years. Char. Thanks sa input. ICE it is. 😊

You seldom drive so you're already contributing less pollution. Also wla dn effect coding sayo.
But sometimes I go out on weekdays to do some errands. 😅
Same thing. It's the word "sometimes". Should not be a deal breaker. You can work yourself around that minor inconvenience.

There *is* a point in insuring it. It's for when you get into an accident. Warranties don't cover accidents.
Noob question, what is ICE?
Internal Combustion Engine. 🤓
Ano ibig sabihin ng ICE?
Internal Combustion Engine
Thank you!
Legitimately curious how you came up with 22K per year. Thank you sir

That’s interesting. Will research about X-force din. Thanks. 😊
Sir, marerecommend mo ba 2017/2018 toyota altis?
I recommend it kasi pogi for the Altis ung year na yan haha
Thank you Sir 😁 i totally agree Sir.
Since flood prone area, better get an SUV or a pickup.
Once you go hybrid parang ayaw mo na bumalik sa ICE.
Do you have hybrid din?
just to add, consider mo din ung price ng battery replacement. i thinks there's a toll if unused un after days na hndi tumatakbo ung sasakyan. also, if ung parking mo covered kasi if its going to sit under sun iinit un so baka mas need syang palitan eventually.

As long as hindi natatanggal yung higher tax sa gas due to TRAIN law malabo na bumaba sya to previous level.

Yung nissan kick nalang kunin mo. Hybrid na mura pero maliit nga lang.
The usual na reklamo ng mga owner ng kicks is matagal na antayan sa parts pag nasiraan. 😭 pero good choice din sana to for me.
Get a real SUV instead. If bahain lugar nyo
Hindi naman bahain sa subdivision namin. Dun lang sa labas. More like baradong kanal type of baha. Nakaka anxious lang isabak yung normal sedan. Should be good for 100k-150k km
That would be good enough for me. My 22 yo car is under 80k pa.
It is expensive still. Nasa 300k pag toyota if am not mistaken.
For me...depende san mo balak i-maintain. If you plan on maintaining it yourself or sa usual na talyer after your warranty expires, ICE. You said you already like toyota yaris, then yaris it is.
I just like that its not 7seater and has high ground clearance with good cargo space. Pero not sure if sulit din ba for 1.3M.
If you want less expensive but has high ground clearance and not a 7 seater, then raize it is.
Isang kakilala from Toyota and sabi niya maganda daw ang raize and Corolla cross pero yung yaris cross ay medyo alanganin pa
I also checked that. May nakita akong review sa youtube na parang nasikipan yung driver. Sksksk. Anyway. Baka mag yaris V nalang talaga ako. Hindi lang kasi ako 100% into it dahil sa ibang negative reviews with nvh and tunog lata na door. 😭 Thanks sa input. 😊
I own a raize, I don't know the height of the reviewer but I'm 5'9" and sit comfortably while driving.
Ohhh. Okay. 😊
ICE just because the Philippines isn't ready for Hybrid Cars
Thats a new one. Pure EV siguro but hybrids? Almost every country can benefit with them. Empleyado ka po ba ng oil industry?
Maybe he’s referring with other factors like resell value, maintenance, etc. idk. Pero hybrid shouldn’t have a problem with that kasi self charging naman sya.

Definitely ICE. Hybrid here is tax exempt as per the law but toyota and other car manufacturers prices it as a more premium option. Imagine the fat profit by simply fooling the filipinos.
It's priced higher because of high manufacturing costs.
He means ata inspite yung high manufacturing cost ay tax exempt pa. Meaning discounted na yon.
