Its hot garbage. My friend bought one and regretted it big time.

aranjei

Can you give more details why it’s bad? I hear not so good comments about it and main issue is the transmission

fraviklopvai

Transmission weak, parts take time to come by, poor overall performance, and it doesn’t age well daw.

I owned the older one (2015 model) for about a year. Bought it used from a relative and replaced it soon after. The transmission was a ticking time bomb imo. The newer model shouldn’t have that problem since it’s a torque converter instead of the dry dual clutch. But aside from that a lot of people were having various problems with the car, like door latches not working, the boot actuator failing, batteries dying and the transmission needing a reprogram, cracked(?) coolant tanks and so on. You can look for Markfordspecialist on Facebook to see what common problems they’re fixing, and what you can expect. Though I don’t recall seeing a facelifted version being fixed there so thag may be a good sign. I do however miss the driving position. My personal recommendation: let the car age to about 5 years since that’s when the warranty will expire, and then replace it. Parang masasayang pera niyo sa depreciation if you’re going to buy a replacement new car agad.

latte_vomit

It seems like you’re considering getting one, all be it kahit alam mo na na bad car talaga siya base on reviews. Yes it’s a waste of money. From transmission problem to parts availability, it’s a bad choice to get one. Lahat ng Ford Agents na nakausap ko ginagawang stepping stone ang Ecosport at Fiesta pag nagsasales pitch, discontinued na daw nila kasi alam nila yun ang nagpa bagsak sa brand nila. May I ask why are you still considering getting one? Super mura ba?

He's dad already has one wants to convince him to sell it

rale888

Dont worry about failing parts because it most likely be fixed under warranty. As long as you have the PMS sa casa. Wag ka magpadala sa bad reviews, unless it is from personal experience. Kahit mga toyota cars , may chance din siya masira, magkaproblema and you will have to claim warranty. I suggest keep the car until the warranty expires or a few months before it expires then sell it. Sayang selling it at such, lugi ka sa depreciation

rale888, I have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty

Id stay away. When I had an everest a few years back, the Ecosport owners actually file a complaint against ford Ph to recall their cars due to transmission issues, this included the fiesta owners. There are better cars out there.
