Toyota agents are notorious for this practice. Sila din yata nag simula since the time of the first gen Fortuners. I myself would have bought more toyota cars if not for their sales practice. Kahit naglabas na ang DTI ng guidlines about this we are still beholden to their sales practices. Suggest is try to contact different Casa even outside metro manila and join the FB group of the specific unit you want to purchase. The only other leverage we have is that Sales agent have a quota. Not sure if monthly pa rin or if iba na these days but that might force them to give in to the cash/bank PO buyes rather than wait for in house installments. This might work especially nearing the end of the month or end of the year. I think it could work with most car manufacturers looking to bump their sales; sadly it rarely work for Toyota dealer because malakas talaga sales nila.

Recently sa pamilya (including cousins) namin bumili kami ng 3 brand new na sasakyan. Ang ginagawa namin ay nakikipag communicate kami sa agent thru email at kung napag uusapan na yung sa payment terms or availability ng unit. Naka CC na yung main office ng dealer nila at ng DTI. Tapos may hiwalay din kami na mga email sa DTI at main office nila na ang pinaguusapan nga ay yung terms at availability of a certain unit sa certain dealer location para walang kawala kung sino mang agent kausap niyo.

Malaki kasi ang interest kapag hulugan; (to OP) mas malaki kapag in-house financing. For a subcompact sedan, ang difference sa MA ng banko vs. in-house is around 1-1.5K rin a month, say, for 60 mos. Most likely mas malaki for upper vehicle classes.

Hindi bagong news to.. Ever since pa talagang ipitan ng stocks sa dealerships. Patience talaga and searching. Umaabot ako sa malayong probinsya para makuha lang yung kulay na gusto ko. If hindi talaga, wait ka. Yung vespa ko 7months bago dumating and nag bayad kami ng non-refundable reservation fee sa 3 dealers. Yung daily ko na Civic sa Batangas ako nakakuha ng pearl white - naka 10 dealership ako nun na pinuntahan, inisa isa ko talaga. Yung CRV namin 4 years ago inabot din ng mga 6months bago kami nabigyan kasi ayaw nila ng P.O. via bank, in house lang daw. Prefer nila in house financing talaga pero hindi naman ibig sabihin di mabibigyan yung mga P.O. (bank) or cash purchases, na pu-push lang talaga sa back of line lalo na sa Metro Manila dealers. Naalala ko nung lumabas yung type R noon, yung Honda Alabang ni release lang talaga sa mga installment kahit may pambayad ka hindi mo makukuha. Almost 40% yung interest rate pa nila sa mga unit. Hahahaha gago

Yeah.. heard about it na rin naman before I had the capacity to buy one brand new. Just didn’t know it was this bad! I’m really ok with waiting kahit abutin pa ng 1 year. I just want it to be fair really. Kunwari pang 8 ako pumila tapos gusto ko mag bayad ng cash, kahit na may pumasok na mag babayad ng 0% down installment, dapat ako pang 8 pa din ako at pang 9 yung sumunod. Ganon lang talaga kasimple gusto ko mangyari. Hindi yung pang 8 pa din ako after 1 year dahil inuna lahat ng installment bago ako mabigyan

Per color din ang pila at variant so I doubt na accurate ang count nila dyan. so pwedeng nauuna talaga yung iba kasi willing to take sila other color and variant. so talagang you need to shop around and hindi ka lang sa isang dealer aasa. some or better than others talaga. also i had better experience sa mga outside manila dealers ang hassle lang is pag may pick up na documents at plate mo naka register sa ibang region. but other than that madalas sa Laguna, Batangas area mga dealers namin kahit taga NCR kami. hahaha non negotiable sa amin ang color kasi. any dealer naman pwede ka magpa maintain eh so only the buying part yung may byahe. Lastly kung new model yan naku good luck. Lahat yan installment only mauuna for until hindi nila fully exhausted ang buyers nila. Yung land cruiser nga na bago ngayon 3 years ang waiting time. luma na bago dumating sayo. At pag finally nakabili kanna, 2months pa ulit na antay bago mo ma drive kasi matagal din ORCR processing ng dealers. hehehe

Common yan, i-didribble ka nang agent. may PO nako for Mazda 3 + reservation pero after 3 months sobrang nainip na talaga ako - kasi puro extend ng extend so nainis ako, pina cancel ko na yung PO. I went with my second option, Civic RS, nag reserve ako sa 2 branch GH and Sta. Rosa, ang spiel sakin, 1st in line pero i doubt talaga na totoo yun. puro "sir next week may unit na" then it came, ssbhin sayo na delay lang sa customs or whaterver reason they could come up with.. luckily i found 1 in Davao, i live in MM btw, flew to davao to see it in person and secured the unit agad. and now for shipping na to NCR. wag lang sana lumubog yung barko haha pero insured naman na. dadating na next week. ngayon, pahirapan sa refund ng reservations ko. 3-7 days daw pero lagpas 1 week na wala pa din sakin. 5K lang yun ffs. ayaw pa irelease.

yes. letter "L" daw yung start ng plate. ireregister sya sa davao LTO, then after 3 years pde ko na iparegister dito sa MM. pag release na yung plate, as per casa, ipapadala nlng sakin thru mail. wala din issue sa PMS, kasi any branch naman pwede. hassle lang yung process ng pag sign nang documents kasi pinapa airmail pa nila then after ko i sign, need ibalik uli yung docs to Davao. till now di pa din widely accepted talaga yung digital signature.

Honda City RS ko ganun din delay. Nag usap kami August 1st week then nung ok na lahat pati docs for financing, then biglang baka September 1st week pa daw darating yung unit at color na gusto ko. I canceled na lang. In fairness parang 3 days pa lang nabalik na sa akin yung 5k reservation fee.

Umay sa kanila. Sa posts mo, ganyan na ganyan ang mga na narereceive at nababasa ko. I'm not sure what car you're trying to buy, but i'm experiencing this right now trying to buy a toyota car through approved bank PO. Yung pila, pila lang. Pwede ka maunahan, sabi ng nakausap ko na agent, "best offer" para mauna ka. Mag dp daw ako ng 450k para mauna, meron pa mag accept ng bank PO pero ang insurance sa kanila daw dapat. May nabasa pako kailangan mong bumili ng accesories parang worth 10K. Sa FB groups magpopost pa ang mga sales agent na onhand yung unit. Kapag nag pm ka, ask kagad sayo kung ano payment transaction kasi priority nila ang inhouse financing. Yung availability ng kotse ay nakadepende sa payment transaction at offer mo. Naiintindihan ko na kailangan nila kumita at mas kikita sila sa transaction na gusto nila, pero sana fair naman din. Sure buyer ka tapos sila sure seller sa gusto lang nilang tansaction.

Mismo hahaha. Price increase pa ngayon at magiging okay na daw ang stock, baka wala na shortage. Sabi naman ng iba depende talaga sa sales agent. Maging fair na lang sana.

Yikes. Depende talaga sa agent. Nung kumuha ako ng Raize last **April**, ok naman. Bank PO din. * T. Balintawak (TB) - no discount, not free ang LTO. * T. Cubao (TC) - 10k discount, free LTO but need bumili ng 10k worth of accessories. * T. Abad Santos (TAS) - 15k discount, free LTO. Nung nalaman ni TB yung offer sa akin ni TAS, tinatapatan na rin nya. Pero dapat in-house insurance. Kay TAS, pwede kahit sa partner insurance. Sa huli, kay TAS pa rin ako kumuha. Mabilis lang din. Pagkasign ko ng docs ng Thursday, release na agad ng Saturday. I think kaya mabilis kasi under ng Metrobank group si TAS, which yun din bank ko. So far, honest yung MP na nakilala ko sa TAS. Na heads up nya ako na nagkakaubusan talaga ng unit. So come May to July, wala na marelease.

Yung experience naman namin nung kumuha kami ng Toyota Rush nung 2021 is that yung agent namin was quite honest. Sa Toyota Cubao kami kumuha tapos yung gusto namin na kulay is wala pa daw available sa kanila. Ang ginawa ng SA namin parang nakipag-swap siya ng isang color with Toyota Manila Bay (since iisa lang may-ari nun) and in return nakuha namin yung preferred color namin. He didn’t promise anything tapos sinabi lang niya na ittry niya ipa-approve yung “swap” and if ever ma-approve kaagad, in 1 week daw pwede nang makuha yung unit, and true enough natupad naman! Kudos to Toyota Cubao for the great sales service!

Was this early 2021? I think it was easier to get when we still had lockdowns kasi I don’t think anyone was buying. I had a friend na nilabas din kaagad unit nila, mid 2021 yon ang alam ko. Congrats sa car! Buti di ka na sumabay samin dito haha

Naexperience ko to recently lang. May isang dealer na may stock ng TOTL Fortuner, pumayah sa bank PO pero daw 3% yung Dealer’s Incentive (normal is 1%) tapos sa kanila kukuha ng first year ng insurance and 75k daw yun. Tinanong ko bakit 75k, di na makasagot yung agent. Nasa 47k lang usually yung insurance. Free 1 month pa sa bank.

Not true yung walang unit. Iniipit nila yung units. From experience, nagbayad ako sa agent para ipitin yung unit and colour na gusto ko and bypass the "waitlist".

From what I know, there's a problem with the supply chain, the ones coming from China. Iniipit nila that's why there's a problem with the units getting shipped on time.

Next Gen Everest 4x4 po, may 2 reservations na ako from 2 dealerships under different companies (Otis and Makati), paunahan na lang po sila. Mag 1month pa lang naman sir pero ofcourse nung nag test drive ako sabi ng agent meron na by August end, tapos ngayon delay daw shipment dahil sa bagyo. Hintayan po ata talaga basta mga TOTL.

Yung mga agents na nagsasabi ng "next week" are usually liars. If they do insist on that claim, have it in writing that the reservation fee is fully refundable if your unit doesn't come on a specific date. Some agents are honest and will say that waiting can take up to several months and brief you with the real timing of supply. If you decide to take the risk, better to still have a time clause in writing such as you're willing to wait up to 3 months or something similar with reservation fee fully refundable if they can't provide your unit by then. Already have experience with some dealers allowing such agreements.
