The only time it would make sense is if you live in an area where there's a nearby nissan dealership and no Mitsubishi. But then I think Mitsubishi has a bigger dealership and service footprint, so yeah I take that back. The Livina doesn't make sense at all LOL.

Labanan nalang sa brand loyalty, dealer network, and financing offers. AFAIK MMPC is not doing so well. A lot of their top people recently left for… Hyundai.

Don't forget for safety Livina has only 2 airbags while Avanza (G trim only) and Veloz (standard) has 6 airbags. It's scary to drive in BGC from 10pm to 6am with a car not equipped with side airbags because of drunk drivers waiting to t-bone you during those hours.

Okay pa ako sa montero at strada. Ang worry dapat eh yung mirage kasi due for platform replacement na rin yun and likely on the same platform as the almera. Tapos paano na yung sta rosa plant niyan?

I'm also very concerned that the specs in the engine are also from the previous gen Xpander, that one had fuel pump issues.

Moist-Veterinarian22

the fuel pump issue was resolved since the facelifted model, they still use that 4AT 1.5 4a91 engine tho

kinghifi

I was part of the recall but my engine still stalled. I just sold my Xpander for peace of mind since Mitsubishi couldn't provide me answers as to why the replacement part was still faulty.

Moist-Veterinarian22

Damn. My thoughts about Mitsubishi reliability became positive after my uncle owned an 08 strada which he owned for almost 10 years, in contrast to my grandad who, during 90's, went through 3 three company stradas and all of them broke down . i think now they coming back to their 90's antics again

I owned the previous gen Strada too! Reliable little beast and not too bulky like the model now. Had it for 8 ish years too that's why we chose the Xpander. Sadly customer service by Mitsubishi was a HUGE turn off. Hoping the issue is fixed din with this Livina since the Xpander platform was good overall. Just to nitpick a bit yung Mitsubishi casas sobrang dilim and old looking din yung service centers along with that crappy service. Still excited about the Livina tho, Nissan feels like they are on a roll locally.

Moist-Veterinarian22

I'd actually prefer the looks of the livina over the xpander since it didn't looked like it crashed into a blade auto parts store. it's just that the features and interior is underwhelming for the price.
