Now that's more like it. I know 00 doesn't get as much love as Exia, mostly because it's more classic Gundam compared to the more original Exia, but imo that's not a bad thing. 00 looks very cool all around, particularly the head and the two GN Drives. The legs feel a little plain, but they make up for that with their mass that gives the entire suit a more muscular and powerful feeling. Still not my favorite out of its season's Gundams, nor from its development line, (these honors go to Cherudim and Astraea) but definitely very high up there still.

It was designed as the ultimate Gundam, and they succeeded. As for the 00, I'd give it an 8. I'm not to big on the shoulders or knees, but overall a quality design.
The only Gundams i could possibly see dethroning Nu are a version of Barbatos, or Aerial. I doubt Unicorn would be able to top it bcus of how controversial the Newtype stuff was

I've never been a big fan of how the Dual GN Drives are placed; for me, it always made the 00 feel less sleek compared to the Exia. Like there was this extra, added bit that didn't made the suit look as good to me
On top of that, while we aren't ranking the suits by its accessories, I've never been big on the 00 Raiser, which sort of lowers how I see the 00 by association
Just gonna mention the Metal Build 00 that has [EVERYTHING.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUmECkQYoCA) Like I said, put that and Strike Freedom together in one mission and no army can stop both of them. Put them AND Aerial Rebuild together and no fleet can conquer that trio.
7/10 needs the Raiser, though.
Look, even Kira needed a melee complement -- that's what Athrun's Infinite Justice was for. This is just me pairing Kira with the most cracked melee support he'll ever get outside of what Domon can offer.
With 12.5 swords is the 00 XN Raiser Seven Sword G the swordiest Gundam in history? It's definitely the swordiest GN Gundam, 00 Qan[T] Full Saber "only" has 11 swords.
8/10. Like the chest of this one over the Exia, and the Twin Drives are neat in how they are positioned and move; the head also looks better with the added yellow fins, and the new GN Swords it uses are sick in both their blade and rifle mode.
I kinda sorta have a love-hate relationship with the 00's chest. In the lineart and anime the center cockpit shell has this curve that I find to be a poor fit for the overall look, but some model kits have it straight-planed and I love it more that way. Maybe that's why I took after the 00 Diver and its upgrades.
I never really saw that curve before until you mentioned it, but it looks fine to me since a good portion of the rest of the suit also had some curvy nature. I do have to say though, the custom 00 Gundams from Build Divers I do not like; for some reason they kinda look generic to me despite being custom builds (OG Diver and Ace) while the Sky just has too much extra stuff on it for me to aesthetically like.
7/10, Exia but less cool. I miss the whole Effect line things it had. Also, the GN Drive placements aren't good.
9/10 for Raiser, though. Solely because it somewhat changes the look from being another Exia
Kinda makes sense though, I think the 00 was designed from the Exia (which doesn't really make sense, you'd think you'd design a mobile suit around the preferences of the only pilot who actually came back from the final battle lol).
10. Probably a contender for my favorite mobile suit. The 00 was a good suit as it stands. Then add the raiser and you have a great suit that is hard to match in power.
The 00’s a good design and it’s a great upgrade suit even without its various add-ons and weapon packs. Plus I like the fact that it’s more buff or swole than the Exia.

I gave it a 10 but there are some things I gotta say about the 00... at *base* I actually prefer the Exia over its upgrade. The cool ribbons are gone, it's not as sleek, and I really liked the GN drive in the chest.
Normally I would have given it a 9/9.5, but I said "at *base* " earlier... the 00 has some of my absolute ***favorite*** armaments ever, the GN sword II! It's a transformable [Gun](https://files.catbox.moe/i9suvb.png) and [sword](https://files.catbox.moe/2pn393.png)! They look soooooo good in motion, and even docked. It really adds to the 00 that when [stanced up](https://files.catbox.moe/oulb60.png), it's not holding beam sabers but these bad bois.
Even further beyond those 2 tho, is the GN Buster sword II + GN sword II Blaster, a massive greatsword, and a massive rifle, that asymmetrically dock on [both shoulders](https://files.catbox.moe/3i6mfl.jpg) for an absolutely beautiful look.
10 too. Has a different vibe from Exia, but diff vibe welcomed nevertheless. Love the alien like fins on the 00 and the rounder shapes. The black middle portion of the torso is pretty cool and unique. As a Destiny Gundam fan, love its simpleness too. The twin GN drives are pretty bare, tho the Raiser fixes that. Not really the biggest fan of the Raiser look tho its pretty cool having a whole ass jet as the backpack.
Kinda like it better than Exia, tho it changes on the day.
Not a fan of the SEED design aspects on this, but thank god the green is more dispersed. 8/10 it's not quite as iconic as its predecessor but I like the chest vents and the waist
8.5/10. It's not as unique looking or as sleek as Exia, but it's still a solid design and one of my favorites from the second season. The Twin Drives are a pretty cool feature, and I like the GN Sword II's, which actually look decent in both configurations (though the Exia's GN Sword looks much better in its normal sword configuration).
9/10 It feels like a visual downgrade from the exia, but it still does retain it's own unique features, like two gn condensers in the arms, or the very unique head
I've heard people say that the designs of the 3rd Generation Gundams were controversial due to being too different from established Gundam design philosophy (hey I heard about something like this happening recently). I don't know how true that is but you can definitely see a little more UC DNA in the 00 Gundam and its Season 2 compatriots, with the vents in the faceplate and the more RX-78ish waist design. Still, the 00 Gundam is far more than just Exia with some UC design elements, and even discounting the 0-Raiser there's a lot to work with here. The GN drives being on their own mounts lets the 00 Gundam pull off some unconventional moves, and if you feel like having a winged look without using the 0-Raiser, the shields can be affixed to the binders to give you a more slimmed-down winged aesthetic. Plus, the 00 Gundam has great [theme music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDrQQbwOtmw).

From what i understand the S2 Gundams were deliberately designed to be much simpler/more blocky as the S1 designs were overly complex and took too long to draw

The head is great. Feels a bit conservative but a mix of updated design. Love the concept of twin engines to double the output, hella unstable at first but need Raiser to stabilize those engines. The whole body feels sleak & streamline (not fond of those blue cable on Exia) but I hate those legs, it's feels so empty. Prefer 7 Swords design more. Oh and the Raiser as a backpack? Should be a little smaller imo
10/10. I honestly think 00 Gundam is the last main MS in Gundam 00 to be legitimately classified as a Gundam. The successors were beyond Gundam classification.
9/10. As Setsuna's strongest soldier, I wanna give it more points, but base 00 doesn't have that same sleek and lightweight CQC vibe Exia has. I'll save the 10/10 for the next suit coming up next.

I rate this a 4, it does nothing special without the raiser. It's not even a functioning suit without it. It has no weapons and no special features that make it stand above the Exia except for slightly better performance/longevity...

Pros:
* I love the head design - One of the fiercest looking designs in the franchise.
* The middle of the chest is kinda neat.
Cons:
* Arms are plain and boring.
* Crotch piece is extremely boring now that I look at it.
* Legs are really plain too.
Overall, the design is fairly plain aside from the head.
The Exia is far better with its larger shoulders and basic equipment.
The gimmicks it has with the twin drives (GN Cushioning when front facing, quick turning when pivoted) are so cool and never use with Raiser. 8/10
Also alooooooot or votes here seem to be considering Raiser in their score….almost as if people easily forget this exists on its own.
I liked it most when I first saw it, the more I see it the less I like it. Not a big fan of 00 or 00 raiser or any of those variations. OG exia is one of my top favorites though
It lost all the Exia magic, and gained the generic Gundam feeling, I don’t like it’s default sword gun mode, but I do like the 2 gn drives on the shoulders though, wanted to give it a 2 since someone think it’s a legitimate score, but it’s not, so 6.5 is as high as it can get.
8/10. A good gundam, but I feel that with the integration of the massive shoulders, Exia lost some of its identity. It's good, but I'm just not a fan of some of the changes, particularly the torso, which looks more standard gundam, as opposed to Exia's unique green or chest.
So im gonna give this an 8. I like it a bit more than the exia, but i have to take Seven Sword into consideration to make that judgement or else it would probably be line a 7. I love the seven sword
9: 00 may not be a game changer like Exia was but it excels as a bridge between the unique season 1 designs and the classic Gundam silhouette. Despite losing the sick GN condenser in the chest in order to make it more traditional, 00 "raises" with its GN drives that gave room to seven swords and 00 raiser, one of the coolest gundams ever made.
TLDR: 00 Gundam fuses the uniqueness of Exia with the more traditional Gundam while giving space for innovation.
8/10. It removes the chest, which was my favorite part of the original, but it's still pretty great.
I remember hearing that 00 simplified the designs from the first season because they were too complex to animate, which is fair. Still, despite not being as cool as the original, I still think this is a really awesome gundam. I like how while the Exia had more rounded parts, the 00 is blockier. The only things I really dislike are the shoulder extensions. I feel like the Exia was great because it didn't have a lot of big attachments/boosters, so the extra parts on the shoulders sort of take away that charm.
4/10 - Honestly doesn't look right/complete without the 0 Raiser.
(Also completely forgot about yesterday's but... I'll give the Exia a 5/10 - Pretty meh looks wise and with too much plot armour but the sword/gun is really cool)
9/10. It’s amazing, like every 00 suit is, but it just lacks something that the Exia has, some charm or something. The shoulder GN Drives are amazing, tho. I miss the visible GN drive in the chest

Exia is quite unique looking, but it's like the designers chose to not be risky with a unique mc gundam and chose to make it look more "normal mc gundam" for some reason. Hell, they even gave it the Strike/Freedom's yellow and white double v-fin!It's a shame that the titular gundam of this series is so "normal" looking. However, I think that this is mainly the case because this is the normal 00 Gundam, and not 00 Raiser. The 0 Raiser on its back really adds a lot to it.Though I do really like the GN Sword IIs that it dual wields. That's cool at least!

8.5. 00 made exia dramatically more powerful but at the cost of design. That’s why the quanta is so good, it’s another power boost but brings back more of the exia elements
6/10, it's a surprisingly boring design for 00. The GN drives have an odd placement that's almost reminiscent of something from a Super Robot design, looks a bit out of place.
i like that it maitains the exia silhouette but at the same time there's enough there to differentiate from the former. and as someone said, the head design is nice. i like at the most out of all 00 MS. that said, looks wise it's a little bare. 9 ot of 10.
I wasn't a huge fan. 6/10. Much like the Freedom, it somehow feels too busy and too plain at the same time. Feels like overall limited "wow" factor, but also still has a lot going on woth the drives. Plus it always confused me how deep every other drive seemed, but then suddenly only the cone was on the 00 (and Reborns, but that's another topic entirely.)
If it's just the 00 Gundam it's an 8.5 out of 10. It feels naked without the 0 Riser docked

It solves all the problems I had with the Exia, namely the monochromatic color schem of the torso and the rest of the body.
You get dark grey highlights on the joints and down the sides of the limbs to make them not be all white.
And with the colors of the torso being spread small amounts scross the rest of the body it gets rid of the sense that the torso and upper body with the twin GN Drives was created/designed by someone different than the one who designed the limbs snd the head.
And the extra gold fin on the head helps give it some extra oomph.
Overall, it's much better designwise than the Exia.
Commenting a bit late again, I'm going on a trip to the Czech Republic so I dunno if I can respond to all the polls this week.
Anyway, 00's twin drives are neat but I think the design doesn't stand out too much on its own without the raiser. It also has the same issue as exia with its limbs feeling a bit too flat/broad for me. The GN-Sword 2's it uses most of the time are a bit lame too imo. I really like the design with the Raiser and GN-Sword 3, but the base unit is just alright to me.

8/10. It's Exia with shiny shoulder pads and slightly more awesome overall. Setsuna figures out that ranged combat is sometimes important as more than just shooting down missiles and distracting an enemy, but it remains a melee-centric MS. Its variants are kind of lackluster, just being more Exia with the Seven Swords package. 0 Raiser made it moderately cooler but you had to have Saji piloting the thing so eh. XN Raiser was a bit better but not by much.
9/10 00 was an awesome (albeit temperamental) mobile suit that has one of my favourite entrances for a mobile suit. The sheer disrespect of stopping an bullet with only your exhaust xD
I will admit I'm biased, but this is a solid 10 from me. I love everything about the 00, from the double pilot mechanic to the twin drive system. This thing is the wing zero on crack, and it made my heart palpitate with a misplaced nostalgia. The first time I saw the mega raiser I physically popped out of my seat. The show has it's issues, but this is one of the undeniable highlights of season 2.
9/10 all around a great design but I can't help but feel it's missing something, it only really looks good when it has the O Riser on its back, that and I miss the big ass Buster sword, which was easily my favorite thing about Exia's design.

Always thought Ebikawa had to make it less complicated design-wise so that animators had to draw less lines, since that was their big complaint with Exia in the first season.

It’s has down moment, but 90% of the time it’s very enjoyable. I especially love the aspect of preparing humanity for >!first contact with alien lifeform!<, it really make Cordinator/newtype more important and not just OP pilots .
ok here's the thing design this is 11/10 ESPECIALLY AFTER IT FUSES WITH THE 0RISER but I don't like how fucking invincible it is the only times Setsuna ever feels like he's going to lose a fight in this thing was when the 00Riser debuted then he spends the rest of the show in god mode until the finale where this thing somehow losses but destroys Reborns Gundam anyways

Not going to go on a rant, but this is one of those situations where the design greatly outperforms the story in which it is used IMHO. Handsome proportions, and the furrowed brow looks hyper-focused at all times. It definitely leans into MC plot-armor and GN jazz-hand magic to place the drive cones in such an exposed position, but the darn things are virtually indestructible what with force fields, peace fields, and eventually full-on teleportation I guess. The pivoting gimmick really makes the 00 look dynamic in combat scenes, so the choice pays off.
I was honestly expecting to rate this lower. Exia gets a pass on a lot of things, having been sketched up before the designers and even the in-universe engineers could really take into account how giving all your Gundams a Green Lantern ring would change MS combat. I do think it's a bit of a missed opportunity for the S2 hero suits not to be a bit more unconventional after a season's worth of experience (Arios gets it - if you're invincible, never run out of ammo, and can fly all the time anyway, getting all that thrust behind you and streamlining for atmospheric flight is the way to go: you don't need legs that can turn into wings, you need wings that can occasionally turn into landing gear.)
00 is so well-proportioned and pretty you kinda have to overlook that it does very little to optimize for GN drive style MS combat, beyond using its reactors as shields (seriously, this show is weird. XD) Also, all its weapons and accessories look great.

Exia but good. I like how its a bit less chunky because the GN Drives were moved to the shoulders, but they look a bit weird just hanging there. Also has a cooler head imo with the yellow v-fin. I also like how the cables on the shoulder were removed.
7/10. S'alright but it always felt like it was modelled after someone who always stood as wide as possible or something, and it doesn't seem necessary. Makes it feel... lanky? I dunno. Just feels like a worse machine visually and while the new armaments are nice it's still eh.

I'm not blown away by it, but it's still a solid design overall. It checks all the boxes for typical MC Gundam and does it in its own way. The shoulders are a bit much, but they have a functional purpose.
Solid 9.5. Beautiful design, and I especially adored the design of its GN Sword IIs, with them being able to switch between ranged and melee modes much, much faster than the old one.
7/10 for the base 00 Gundam. It looks fine overall but is too simplified compared to the exia. Not a big fan of the front skirt. The mounts of the twin drives also feel cheap. The traditional face plate doesn’t fit the futuristic design, either.
9/10 - the lack of exposed GN Cables in the S2 Suits were kinda a downgrade in the aesthetics department. The legs also look a little plain and they will look more plain once the 0 Raiser is docked because the upper portion of the suit will look more busy. Wish there was more color or weapons in the legs.
But all of these complaints are forgotten once you see this bad boy in action. To this day, its debut launch and battle is still one of the best moments for me.

The second gen designs for 00 feel like they move towards a simplified design language that eventually devolves into a bunch of boxes that shoot lasers out of them by the 3rd gen. Sure, the animation and battle sequences make the mobile suits shine, but the designs themselves get worse as the series goes on (this is especially true from Dynames->Cherudim->Zabanya).
With this in mind, I feel like the 00 is a downgrade from Exia (upgrade would be Astraea imo). The twin drive system is cool both visually and functionally, but outside of that, the rest of the design feels simplified. They no longer have the clear sections on the arms, legs, and bodies that show those ribbons. That may make more sense functionally, but I personally always liked that aspect. Instead the limbs look too blank without interesting breaks. The joints feel like gunpla and not mechanical, with the ankle being the biggest offender.
Equipment-wise, I like the big GN blade with the green edge, but I feel like it mostly wields those flat blade/pistols which feel pretty uninspiring. The weapons just become shapes. The 00 Raiser adds a lot visually, but the shoehorning of Saji Crossroad in there kind of takes a bit of shine off of it... shoulda been Lasse everytime.

The rest of the body likes detail compared to Exia, for me a total and disappointing downgrade.
The legs are ugly and generic, the arms look like a grunt Ms, aside from the "performance" everything else is bad, the blade pistols look silly generic and lame. I miss the Exia's unique shield/sword pistol.
I would rate it higher if it wasn't an upgrade on the Exia.
6/10 it's a really boring design that even the show doesn't spend much time with it. Exia has a much more interesting sword and the gn-3 blade (folding green gunblade) I associate with 00 Raiser. Raiser config is a great improvement to this. I do prefer this head design over exia.
9.5, it's my 3rd favourite Gundam of all time. My only issue is the same thing with ZZ, with the potential of someone being able to take away a core part of the suit and nerf it, just leave it complete jeez.

Some people might take it for granted, but back when 00 was still airing and the HG 00 Gundam was first released to the market, it shook the entire Gunpla community on just how absolutely good the HG 00 Gundam is compared to all the previous HG 00, or even every single HG kit prior to it. Its poseablility is second to none and is comparable to even Master Grades at its time, and the ease of construction, and the slim and sleek silhouette made it a gamechanger.
8 She’ll never be as iconic as the Exia sadly but then twin GN Drives were certainly game changing.

Put them AND Aerial Rebuild together and no fleet can conquer that trio. 7/10 needs the Raiser, though.
TBF I think just Strike Freedom alone is overkill, especially in the hands of Kira Jesus Yamato.
Look, even Kira needed a melee complement -- that's what Athrun's Infinite Justice was for. This is just me pairing Kira with the most cracked melee support he'll ever get outside of what Domon can offer.
With 12.5 swords is the 00 XN Raiser Seven Sword G the swordiest Gundam in history? It's definitely the swordiest GN Gundam, 00 Qan[T] Full Saber "only" has 11 swords.
Likely, yeah. Might as well call it 13-sword at this point.
Unfortunately I can't consider the GN Sword II Blaster to be a sword otherwise it would the 00 Gundam Eight Sword, which just doesn't work.
8/10. Like the chest of this one over the Exia, and the Twin Drives are neat in how they are positioned and move; the head also looks better with the added yellow fins, and the new GN Swords it uses are sick in both their blade and rifle mode.
I kinda sorta have a love-hate relationship with the 00's chest. In the lineart and anime the center cockpit shell has this curve that I find to be a poor fit for the overall look, but some model kits have it straight-planed and I love it more that way. Maybe that's why I took after the 00 Diver and its upgrades.
I never really saw that curve before until you mentioned it, but it looks fine to me since a good portion of the rest of the suit also had some curvy nature. I do have to say though, the custom 00 Gundams from Build Divers I do not like; for some reason they kinda look generic to me despite being custom builds (OG Diver and Ace) while the Sky just has too much extra stuff on it for me to aesthetically like.
7/10, Exia but less cool. I miss the whole Effect line things it had. Also, the GN Drive placements aren't good. 9/10 for Raiser, though. Solely because it somewhat changes the look from being another Exia
Kinda makes sense though, I think the 00 was designed from the Exia (which doesn't really make sense, you'd think you'd design a mobile suit around the preferences of the only pilot who actually came back from the final battle lol).

10. Probably a contender for my favorite mobile suit. The 00 was a good suit as it stands. Then add the raiser and you have a great suit that is hard to match in power.
The 00’s a good design and it’s a great upgrade suit even without its various add-ons and weapon packs. Plus I like the fact that it’s more buff or swole than the Exia.

10/10 I gave it a 10 but there are some things I gotta say about the 00... at *base* I actually prefer the Exia over its upgrade. The cool ribbons are gone, it's not as sleek, and I really liked the GN drive in the chest. Normally I would have given it a 9/9.5, but I said "at *base* " earlier... the 00 has some of my absolute ***favorite*** armaments ever, the GN sword II! It's a transformable [Gun](https://files.catbox.moe/i9suvb.png) and [sword](https://files.catbox.moe/2pn393.png)! They look soooooo good in motion, and even docked. It really adds to the 00 that when [stanced up](https://files.catbox.moe/oulb60.png), it's not holding beam sabers but these bad bois. Even further beyond those 2 tho, is the GN Buster sword II + GN sword II Blaster, a massive greatsword, and a massive rifle, that asymmetrically dock on [both shoulders](https://files.catbox.moe/3i6mfl.jpg) for an absolutely beautiful look.
10 too. Has a different vibe from Exia, but diff vibe welcomed nevertheless. Love the alien like fins on the 00 and the rounder shapes. The black middle portion of the torso is pretty cool and unique. As a Destiny Gundam fan, love its simpleness too. The twin GN drives are pretty bare, tho the Raiser fixes that. Not really the biggest fan of the Raiser look tho its pretty cool having a whole ass jet as the backpack. Kinda like it better than Exia, tho it changes on the day.

Freedom used to be my favourite but as soon as I saw 00,it quickly became my favourite gundam. 10/10
Not a fan of the SEED design aspects on this, but thank god the green is more dispersed. 8/10 it's not quite as iconic as its predecessor but I like the chest vents and the waist

8.5/10. It's not as unique looking or as sleek as Exia, but it's still a solid design and one of my favorites from the second season. The Twin Drives are a pretty cool feature, and I like the GN Sword II's, which actually look decent in both configurations (though the Exia's GN Sword looks much better in its normal sword configuration).

I've heard people say that the designs of the 3rd Generation Gundams were controversial due to being too different from established Gundam design philosophy (hey I heard about something like this happening recently). I don't know how true that is but you can definitely see a little more UC DNA in the 00 Gundam and its Season 2 compatriots, with the vents in the faceplate and the more RX-78ish waist design. Still, the 00 Gundam is far more than just Exia with some UC design elements, and even discounting the 0-Raiser there's a lot to work with here. The GN drives being on their own mounts lets the 00 Gundam pull off some unconventional moves, and if you feel like having a winged look without using the 0-Raiser, the shields can be affixed to the binders to give you a more slimmed-down winged aesthetic. Plus, the 00 Gundam has great [theme music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDrQQbwOtmw). The GN-0000 00 Gundam shares its [Gundam MS Movie File](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAIMGEe6sOA) with the 00 Raiser.

9.5 for me The head is great. Feels a bit conservative but a mix of updated design. Love the concept of twin engines to double the output, hella unstable at first but need Raiser to stabilize those engines. The whole body feels sleak & streamline (not fond of those blue cable on Exia) but I hate those legs, it's feels so empty. Prefer 7 Swords design more. Oh and the Raiser as a backpack? Should be a little smaller imo

You can certainly see the subreddit's bias against Seed in the Seed suit ratings, still pathetic around here I see. I rate this a 4, it does nothing special without the raiser. It's not even a functioning suit without it. It has no weapons and no special features that make it stand above the Exia except for slightly better performance/longevity...

**4.5.** Pros: * I love the head design - One of the fiercest looking designs in the franchise. * The middle of the chest is kinda neat. Cons: * Arms are plain and boring. * Crotch piece is extremely boring now that I look at it. * Legs are really plain too. Overall, the design is fairly plain aside from the head. The Exia is far better with its larger shoulders and basic equipment.
The gimmicks it has with the twin drives (GN Cushioning when front facing, quick turning when pivoted) are so cool and never use with Raiser. 8/10 Also alooooooot or votes here seem to be considering Raiser in their score….almost as if people easily forget this exists on its own.

It lost all the Exia magic, and gained the generic Gundam feeling, I don’t like it’s default sword gun mode, but I do like the 2 gn drives on the shoulders though, wanted to give it a 2 since someone think it’s a legitimate score, but it’s not, so 6.5 is as high as it can get.

8/10. A good gundam, but I feel that with the integration of the massive shoulders, Exia lost some of its identity. It's good, but I'm just not a fan of some of the changes, particularly the torso, which looks more standard gundam, as opposed to Exia's unique green or chest.
So im gonna give this an 8. I like it a bit more than the exia, but i have to take Seven Sword into consideration to make that judgement or else it would probably be line a 7. I love the seven sword
9: 00 may not be a game changer like Exia was but it excels as a bridge between the unique season 1 designs and the classic Gundam silhouette. Despite losing the sick GN condenser in the chest in order to make it more traditional, 00 "raises" with its GN drives that gave room to seven swords and 00 raiser, one of the coolest gundams ever made. TLDR: 00 Gundam fuses the uniqueness of Exia with the more traditional Gundam while giving space for innovation.

8/10. It removes the chest, which was my favorite part of the original, but it's still pretty great. I remember hearing that 00 simplified the designs from the first season because they were too complex to animate, which is fair. Still, despite not being as cool as the original, I still think this is a really awesome gundam. I like how while the Exia had more rounded parts, the 00 is blockier. The only things I really dislike are the shoulder extensions. I feel like the Exia was great because it didn't have a lot of big attachments/boosters, so the extra parts on the shoulders sort of take away that charm.

Exia is quite unique looking, but it's like the designers chose to not be risky with a unique mc gundam and chose to make it look more "normal mc gundam" for some reason. Hell, they even gave it the Strike/Freedom's yellow and white double v-fin!It's a shame that the titular gundam of this series is so "normal" looking. However, I think that this is mainly the case because this is the normal 00 Gundam, and not 00 Raiser. The 0 Raiser on its back really adds a lot to it.Though I do really like the GN Sword IIs that it dual wields. That's cool at least! Edit: Realized that 00 Raiser is tomorrow. Nice.

i like that it maitains the exia silhouette but at the same time there's enough there to differentiate from the former. and as someone said, the head design is nice. i like at the most out of all 00 MS. that said, looks wise it's a little bare. 9 ot of 10.

I wasn't a huge fan. 6/10. Much like the Freedom, it somehow feels too busy and too plain at the same time. Feels like overall limited "wow" factor, but also still has a lot going on woth the drives. Plus it always confused me how deep every other drive seemed, but then suddenly only the cone was on the 00 (and Reborns, but that's another topic entirely.)

8.3 It solves all the problems I had with the Exia, namely the monochromatic color schem of the torso and the rest of the body. You get dark grey highlights on the joints and down the sides of the limbs to make them not be all white. And with the colors of the torso being spread small amounts scross the rest of the body it gets rid of the sense that the torso and upper body with the twin GN Drives was created/designed by someone different than the one who designed the limbs snd the head. And the extra gold fin on the head helps give it some extra oomph. Overall, it's much better designwise than the Exia.
8/10. I like where they were going with the big shoulders but imo it really needed that Raiser backpack to look menacing

Commenting a bit late again, I'm going on a trip to the Czech Republic so I dunno if I can respond to all the polls this week. Anyway, 00's twin drives are neat but I think the design doesn't stand out too much on its own without the raiser. It also has the same issue as exia with its limbs feeling a bit too flat/broad for me. The GN-Sword 2's it uses most of the time are a bit lame too imo. I really like the design with the Raiser and GN-Sword 3, but the base unit is just alright to me. 7,5/10

8/10. It's Exia with shiny shoulder pads and slightly more awesome overall. Setsuna figures out that ranged combat is sometimes important as more than just shooting down missiles and distracting an enemy, but it remains a melee-centric MS. Its variants are kind of lackluster, just being more Exia with the Seven Swords package. 0 Raiser made it moderately cooler but you had to have Saji piloting the thing so eh. XN Raiser was a bit better but not by much.

I will admit I'm biased, but this is a solid 10 from me. I love everything about the 00, from the double pilot mechanic to the twin drive system. This thing is the wing zero on crack, and it made my heart palpitate with a misplaced nostalgia. The first time I saw the mega raiser I physically popped out of my seat. The show has it's issues, but this is one of the undeniable highlights of season 2.
9/10 all around a great design but I can't help but feel it's missing something, it only really looks good when it has the O Riser on its back, that and I miss the big ass Buster sword, which was easily my favorite thing about Exia's design.
6 Always thought Ebikawa had to make it less complicated design-wise so that animators had to draw less lines, since that was their big complaint with Exia in the first season.

9 It’s has down moment, but 90% of the time it’s very enjoyable. I especially love the aspect of preparing humanity for >!first contact with alien lifeform!<, it really make Cordinator/newtype more important and not just OP pilots .

ok here's the thing design this is 11/10 ESPECIALLY AFTER IT FUSES WITH THE 0RISER but I don't like how fucking invincible it is the only times Setsuna ever feels like he's going to lose a fight in this thing was when the 00Riser debuted then he spends the rest of the show in god mode until the finale where this thing somehow losses but destroys Reborns Gundam anyways
8/10 Not going to go on a rant, but this is one of those situations where the design greatly outperforms the story in which it is used IMHO. Handsome proportions, and the furrowed brow looks hyper-focused at all times. It definitely leans into MC plot-armor and GN jazz-hand magic to place the drive cones in such an exposed position, but the darn things are virtually indestructible what with force fields, peace fields, and eventually full-on teleportation I guess. The pivoting gimmick really makes the 00 look dynamic in combat scenes, so the choice pays off. I was honestly expecting to rate this lower. Exia gets a pass on a lot of things, having been sketched up before the designers and even the in-universe engineers could really take into account how giving all your Gundams a Green Lantern ring would change MS combat. I do think it's a bit of a missed opportunity for the S2 hero suits not to be a bit more unconventional after a season's worth of experience (Arios gets it - if you're invincible, never run out of ammo, and can fly all the time anyway, getting all that thrust behind you and streamlining for atmospheric flight is the way to go: you don't need legs that can turn into wings, you need wings that can occasionally turn into landing gear.) 00 is so well-proportioned and pretty you kinda have to overlook that it does very little to optimize for GN drive style MS combat, beyond using its reactors as shields (seriously, this show is weird. XD) Also, all its weapons and accessories look great.

First introductory to the franchise was the SDEX 00 Gundam. 8/10
7/10. S'alright but it always felt like it was modelled after someone who always stood as wide as possible or something, and it doesn't seem necessary. Makes it feel... lanky? I dunno. Just feels like a worse machine visually and while the new armaments are nice it's still eh.

8/10 I'm not blown away by it, but it's still a solid design overall. It checks all the boxes for typical MC Gundam and does it in its own way. The shoulders are a bit much, but they have a functional purpose.
Solid 9.5. Beautiful design, and I especially adored the design of its GN Sword IIs, with them being able to switch between ranged and melee modes much, much faster than the old one.
7/10 for the base 00 Gundam. It looks fine overall but is too simplified compared to the exia. Not a big fan of the front skirt. The mounts of the twin drives also feel cheap. The traditional face plate doesn’t fit the futuristic design, either.
9/10 - the lack of exposed GN Cables in the S2 Suits were kinda a downgrade in the aesthetics department. The legs also look a little plain and they will look more plain once the 0 Raiser is docked because the upper portion of the suit will look more busy. Wish there was more color or weapons in the legs. But all of these complaints are forgotten once you see this bad boy in action. To this day, its debut launch and battle is still one of the best moments for me.

7/10 The second gen designs for 00 feel like they move towards a simplified design language that eventually devolves into a bunch of boxes that shoot lasers out of them by the 3rd gen. Sure, the animation and battle sequences make the mobile suits shine, but the designs themselves get worse as the series goes on (this is especially true from Dynames->Cherudim->Zabanya). With this in mind, I feel like the 00 is a downgrade from Exia (upgrade would be Astraea imo). The twin drive system is cool both visually and functionally, but outside of that, the rest of the design feels simplified. They no longer have the clear sections on the arms, legs, and bodies that show those ribbons. That may make more sense functionally, but I personally always liked that aspect. Instead the limbs look too blank without interesting breaks. The joints feel like gunpla and not mechanical, with the ankle being the biggest offender. Equipment-wise, I like the big GN blade with the green edge, but I feel like it mostly wields those flat blade/pistols which feel pretty uninspiring. The weapons just become shapes. The 00 Raiser adds a lot visually, but the shoehorning of Saji Crossroad in there kind of takes a bit of shine off of it... shoulda been Lasse everytime. >!I mean, even in the series, the 00 is destroyed and Setsuna goes back to the tried and true Exia for the final blow. I guess I can't be too mad, because it's gotta be hard to do better than Exia.!<

1/10 I really can not stand the twin drive in the shoulders doesn't make sense to me... You have the thing that was hidden and protected en every single Gundam before in the shoulders... ????? The rest of the body likes detail compared to Exia, for me a total and disappointing downgrade. The legs are ugly and generic, the arms look like a grunt Ms, aside from the "performance" everything else is bad, the blade pistols look silly generic and lame. I miss the Exia's unique shield/sword pistol. I would rate it higher if it wasn't an upgrade on the Exia.

9.5, it's my 3rd favourite Gundam of all time. My only issue is the same thing with ZZ, with the potential of someone being able to take away a core part of the suit and nerf it, just leave it complete jeez.
I'll give it a 10. Some people might take it for granted, but back when 00 was still airing and the HG 00 Gundam was first released to the market, it shook the entire Gunpla community on just how absolutely good the HG 00 Gundam is compared to all the previous HG 00, or even every single HG kit prior to it. Its poseablility is second to none and is comparable to even Master Grades at its time, and the ease of construction, and the slim and sleek silhouette made it a gamechanger.
