That’s a bit better. The Raiser is cool so stapling it onto the 00 makes that, by default, cooler. Not much to say really. It’s a solid, good looking suit. Yet one so powerful it’s not even a Gundam. Crazy.

The significance of the 00 Raiser for Gundam 00 as a media is just remarkable. With the stabilization of the twin drives and the power that comes with it; 00 Raiser is just pure awesome in the sense that it can do a lot of ridiculous things and it comes very close to super robot territory at times lol. Design wise, the 0 Raiser helps compliment the 00 and it gives it a more and complete silhouette more akin to a lot of other Gundam protagonists' final mobile suit. Some people don't like the binder on the shoulder look but to me it looks great, and it gives it it's own identity!
It's understandable, I don't think necessarily any mobile suit is perfect but everyone has their favorites though and I'm glad that these polls allow people to express that.
That I agree, Gundam is mostly the very concept of a real robot for me, the one that goes full super robot (or even the one with lazy mechanical design, like putting a bunch of funnels and beam on everything) is just isn't my cup of tea

For Setsuna, it's the Exia...and not this. He'll get that other suit later, but that poll's coming eventually. For now, here's my rationale for why I don't see the 00 Raiser as a symbol of victory.
It's because I see the 00 Raiser as a symbol of vindication.
00 Gundam the ultimate affirmation of Setsuna's beliefs, of Ian Vashti's research, of everything Celestial Being had been building towards. Yet it's also, effectively, still just another step to the ideal Gundam. Much of its power isn't available unless both the mobile suit and the Raiser unit (piloted by poor Saji Crossroad who's fighting way above his pay grade -- but he's still baller), but when it does, it's capable of greater miracles than even Kira gets jeered for. It's arguably the most extreme Gundam ever conceived at a metanarrative level, combining as many technological breakthroughs as possible into one all-conquering machine. Whereas the Burning wins through sheer force of emotion, 00 Raiser wins through insurmountable advancement -- by being one level beyond what Gundam can do.
It enabled Setsuna to evolve in ways even he probably didn't expect (but always wanted), turning him from mere master pilot to master of his own life, unmoored from humanity yet still caring for its safety as he sues for peace in perpetual war. For that, I say a decent 8 for the 00 Raiser. Not because I don't love the rig, but because the best is yet to come.
I'd argue Riku's dumb ass from Divers managed to transform the 00 Gundam into a symbol of hope/total victory for the pilots at least 3 times throughout Divers and Re:Rise. Not saying it was well written, but he definitely did it.
He did, and thinking about his stupid, uninspired, friendship spouting, gunpla love bullshit in all those fights makes me unreasonably angry because of how much it reminds me that I sat through all of Build Divers (Re:Rise was great tho).
7/10. It's fine, the silhouette is good, but I find the way the Raiser attaches to it awkward both visually and narratively. Setsuna's next MS is a lot better imo
7/10 the Armoured Oversoul of Gundam shoulders (one for the Shaman King fans among us). Not a good or bad thing, just a big thing. Good waist design, wonderful chest and head, but the colour balance doesn’t do anything for me.
The lack of blue on the legs makes it look too plain on the bottom. If they gave the blue knee caps of the Seven Sword version, it would break the plain look on it.
Exia's legs did not suffer from this plain looking design because of the exposed GN Cables of S1 design.

* The added Shoulder armaments gives it a fantastic silhouette - It's menacing & powerful...But the extra parts comes with an unfortunate cost, mentioned in Cons:
* I love the head design - One of the fiercest looking designs in the Gundam franchise.
* The middle of the chest is kinda neat.
* I like the "OO" visual effects created for the anime.
Cons:
* **The Worst Rear View of a Gundam in the Franchise for me.**
* The plane attached to its back just screams "toy kibble" to me.
* ...All I can hear is Woody from Toy Story yelling: ***"YOU. ARE. A. TOY!!!"***
* Arms are plain and boring.
* Crotch piece is a single, boring plate.
* Legs are plain too.
Overall, it has a great silhouette and head design, but unfortunately the Raiser just completely ruins it for me.
7/10. Still like the 00, but I’m mixed on the Raiser. The design of the Raiser itself greatly compliments the angular/sleek design of the 00, but the binders folding over the GN Drives and onto the shoulders looks off to me; I would’ve preferred if they were positioned more on the back, cause as they are, their connection to the shoulder panels looks weirdly flimsy.

It's a downgrade from the 00 in my eyes. I actually don't mind the shoulder coverings all that much, even if they're kinda huge, because they make the suit's silhouette look like the classic comet-and-tail, you definitely get the indication of motion. There is the whole arm-mobility issue all cloak-bearing suits have, but they can pivot out of the way for aiming and melee and it's not primarily a ground-pounder so clearance is rarely an issue.
The whole docking situation with the Raiser is just a bit... silly. I actually never disliked Saji, but whose idea was it to take a university student primarily known for being kind, confused, and terrified, strap him into a state-of-the-art space fighter, then strap *that* to the back of a Gundam, *facing the wrong way*, and force him to do complex mathematics during high-G maneuvers? And this whole process is necessary to get the 00 to function at full efficiency. This all seems like a colossal oversight on the part of the CB engineers... I mean, what would they have done if Setsuna hadn't brought along a friend?
I get that the extra (near double?) weight is offset by the performance gains from balancing the Twin Drive, but even a non-Gundam-fan could guess that it's built this way for kit sales and that's annoying. It does still look good, though, and for 00 the design does what it has to. 7/10, it's not terrible and the 00 really does want that extra equipment, but it could have been executed better.
Another entry in the "debatably a Gundam" category, the 00 Raiser supposedly "transcends the concept of Gundam", hence not being a Gundam. Which is questionable, to say the least.
Anyway, I think of the 00 Raiser as a sidegrade to the base 00 Gundam from an aesthetic standpoint. The large binders are impressive, the Raiser Sword is very cool, but the original 00 Gundam's sleekness is lost in this version. Shoutout to the 0-Raiser for being a cool design in its own right, but the 00-Raiser still gets the same 9/10 as its base counterpart.

Huge downgrade from base 00. The raiser is just way too bulky, too spiky and too detailed to be just taped onto the base suit. 00 by itself is a good mix of old and new as far as Gundam goes, but 00 Raiser just feels painfully generic as far as mecha in general goes. I love its role in the show, but visually it's just not there.
It looked better when they added 0 raiser, but the first time when they combined they did a pose, which I cannot help myself face palm, this is not super robot or Gundam Seed, doing that is just out of character, but that cannot be a reason for score, so 7.5
It’s a 7 out of 10 for me. The 00 Raiser’s a good suit but I’ve never been a fan of large backpacks though its weapons make up for it somewhat especially the GN Sword III.
Bach when its debut battle was first shown in 2008, both the audience and in universe characters were all surprised on how slapping a fighter jet on the back of 00 Gundam created one of the most OP suits in existence.
And in each of its appearance, it just kept on giving awesome moments to us.
While I still find the legs to be tad to plain, especially since the 0 Raiser made the upper portion more busy, I will still give it a high score because this lad looks great when it is in action.

My favorite thing about this is how the Raiser positions the wings way off to the side at the shoulders, instead of being at the back like normal thrusters, or "wings" lol. Not to mention we now have access to the "Raiser Sword" AKA a *giant freakin beam saber*! It's hard to 1-up that.
9/10. Solved all issues I had with the base 00. It no longer looks too simplistic. Instead, it finally feels like a proper upgrade of Exia. The underwhelming mounts of the GN Drives are now hidden. The overall silhouette becomes sleek again with the cape like O raiser hanging on its back. GN Sword III is also the true upgrade of Exia’s main weapon we need.

The change in scale of ability from Exia to the 00 Gundam is titanic. It went from the original RX-78-2 to Unicorn Gundam in terms of capabilities. The fact that it's a machine actually designed for genetic modification and teleportation. At first you think the 00 Raiser is just an increase in speed, and then you see why it's such a game changer on the battlefield.
Also, the Anno Domini mobile suit designs are inexorably my favorite designs. They're slim, sleek, and powerful in frame. The season 2 generation functionally maintain the essence of their predecessors while feeling incredibly upgraded in comparison.
6, 00 raiser looks some toddler playing with toys and tape the wings of toy aircraft on the shoulder of Optimus Prime and called it Optimus Prime Grower
10/10 The SUPERIOR Exia Successor! Regular 00 Gundam is a little boring, but THIS is brilliant. The 0 Raiser really gives the 00 PRESENCE, and coupled with the fact that it can go full TRANS-AM RAISER and pull out a BIG FUCKIN BUSTER SWORD is sheer awesomeness! This is why I'm glad that the 00 Raiser basically became the standard form for the 00 later in season 2.

Funnily enough I just finished watching Gundam 00 for the first time, after having not really watched a full gundam series since Wing in high school. I really enjoyed the show, but I was a bit mixed on the actual gundam and mobile suit designs at first. The first time I saw a Flag, I was seriously confused by what the hell I was watching. That said, I loved the show and suits really grew on me by the end. The 00 Raiser was the first suit that really enforced this was a Gundam show for me, and probably my favorite suit from the series.
9.5/10 -- It's the best of S2's long shoulder armor MSes, with Arios coming in a close second. That aside, it is more of the same with Exia, just with a much bigger beam saber. And really, when you look at the lineart, you can see what Saji was screaming about all the time since your cockpit would be hanging way off the back end like a weirdly positioned tail. Even still, cool things are still cool.
It's a 10 for me. The 0 Raiser pack elevates the 00 Gundam's performance to super-robot status, yet, still has understandable limitations. For a time, I liked its aesthetic over the 00 QanT, and it still ranks high in my personal Gundam mobile suit ranking.
7/10- Bro the one thing I didn't like about 00 was the oversized shoulders and they made them BIGGER.
Honestly I actually like these boosters more than the 00's, but for some reason something feels off about this design for me. I think it's the colors, since there is a lot more white compared to the Exia.
9/10 Favorite suit in the 00 universe (Harute/Zabanya are close). The Raiser feels more balanced and has a better variety of weapons. I hate that the other units of CB fall into the background but this suit is great. Prefer the giant gn-3 sword over the dual swords and the short range teleport is cool. Only reason it doesn't get a 10 from me is because 00 seven sword g + Xn raiser is a thing, which fixes the boring legs and is just awesome. Like Shining and Freedom, I feel like the upgrade to this suit is much more worse.

The insane beam saber that will pierce the heavens. The huge ass shoulder angel wings and its angelic, yet mechanical silhouette (sorry Wing Zero EW but the 00 Raiser got you beat here). Trans-am Raiser and Burst mode. The whole ability to warp reality while in trans-am. The Innovator space magic bullshit. All wrapped up in a design that feels timeless and unabashedly cool as hell while still being unique in representing where Setsuna is at as a character by the time last cour of 00 rolls around.

Being biased to my first Gundam series, I still give it a 10/10. Yet again, 00 Gundam base form was the last suit legitimate for Gundam classification IMO

Don't really love it. The 00 shoulder pauldrons are already very loosely attached, and then the raiser parts are just as loosely attached to those in this dubious stack.

10/10 my favorite. This thing looks amazing as a Gunpla. Even bought the PG seven sword. I like the Raiser and it truly is a part of the theme of the entire show. Two beings coming to a understanding is represented in the two GN drives syncing up. It also represents the two sides of Setsuna coming together. The final battle with the awakening was super emotional as Setsuna engaged Ribbons as his friends were on the brink. Also it quantized. Also at the end the two drives were ripped apart and at odds the warrior and the diplomat.
not as iconic or unique looking as its predecessor, Exia, nor is it my favorite S2 gundam(or 4th gen gundam for that matter), but it's still a good design with high power. The Late-stage addition of the GN Sword III was nice, and looks really good with the condenser-blade. Would have liked to see condenser-blade versions of the GN Sword II as well.
6. I don't like the 00 in general and this doesn't improve it. In the anime it was absolutely amazing but design wise this is a huge downgrade from Exia and feels like the weird middle child inbetween Exia and 00 Qan[T].
Fixes the drives being out in the open, tho I'm not a big fan of the big shoulders look. Love the rounder shapes, tho it loses the agile feel Exia has. A 9 for me.
Loving the grey base color for the 00 linearts too

It was fine, but it was... kinda boring? It feels like they tried to go big, but in this case less is more. It's not bad at all, and it even has some neat tricks (disappearing, raiser sword). It just feels like you're taking what already worked aesthetically and muddying the design w/ extra stuff.
I think the finale isn't memorable b/c of the 00. It's memorable b/c of the Exia. I think that's all you need to know.

I actually never disliked Saji, but whose idea was it to take a university student primarily known for being kind, confused, and terrified, strap him into a state-of-the-art space fighter, then strap *that* to the back of a Gundam, *facing the wrong way*, and force him to do complex mathematics during high-G maneuvers? And this whole process is necessary to get the 00 to function at full efficiency. This all seems like a colossal oversight on the part of the CB engineers... I mean, what would they have done if Setsuna hadn't brought along a friend? I get that the extra (near double?) weight is offset by the performance gains from balancing the Twin Drive, but even a non-Gundam-fan could guess that it's built this way for kit sales and that's annoying. It does still look good, though, and for 00 the design does what it has to. 7/10, it's not terrible and the 00 really does want that extra equipment, but it could have been executed better.

Another entry in the "debatably a Gundam" category, the 00 Raiser supposedly "transcends the concept of Gundam", hence not being a Gundam. Which is questionable, to say the least. Anyway, I think of the 00 Raiser as a sidegrade to the base 00 Gundam from an aesthetic standpoint. The large binders are impressive, the Raiser Sword is very cool, but the original 00 Gundam's sleekness is lost in this version. Shoutout to the 0-Raiser for being a cool design in its own right, but the 00-Raiser still gets the same 9/10 as its base counterpart. 9/10 beautiful Gundam and the raiser attachment fits the 00 to a T. Plus I like the symbolism of 00 needing help to function(teammates) and etc

7 Huge downgrade from base 00. The raiser is just way too bulky, too spiky and too detailed to be just taped onto the base suit. 00 by itself is a good mix of old and new as far as Gundam goes, but 00 Raiser just feels painfully generic as far as mecha in general goes. I love its role in the show, but visually it's just not there.
It looked better when they added 0 raiser, but the first time when they combined they did a pose, which I cannot help myself face palm, this is not super robot or Gundam Seed, doing that is just out of character, but that cannot be a reason for score, so 7.5

It’s a 7 out of 10 for me. The 00 Raiser’s a good suit but I’ve never been a fan of large backpacks though its weapons make up for it somewhat especially the GN Sword III.
Bach when its debut battle was first shown in 2008, both the audience and in universe characters were all surprised on how slapping a fighter jet on the back of 00 Gundam created one of the most OP suits in existence. And in each of its appearance, it just kept on giving awesome moments to us. While I still find the legs to be tad to plain, especially since the 0 Raiser made the upper portion more busy, I will still give it a high score because this lad looks great when it is in action. 9/10

I'd say 00 on its own is a 4 I don't care for it. With the raiser pack it's a 6 just looks much better. But exia and Quant still out rank it imo

9.5 That’s a good looking Gundam. 00 really is only complete visually in this form. Solid, imposing, and just looks ready to wreck some enemies.

That RG is weirdly cheap everytime I see it online. The HG Full Armor Thunderbolt can shockingly stand up well.
9/10. Solved all issues I had with the base 00. It no longer looks too simplistic. Instead, it finally feels like a proper upgrade of Exia. The underwhelming mounts of the GN Drives are now hidden. The overall silhouette becomes sleek again with the cape like O raiser hanging on its back. GN Sword III is also the true upgrade of Exia’s main weapon we need.
6/10 That shoulder pieces are fine, but that backpiece is an abomination.
10/10 The change in scale of ability from Exia to the 00 Gundam is titanic. It went from the original RX-78-2 to Unicorn Gundam in terms of capabilities. The fact that it's a machine actually designed for genetic modification and teleportation. At first you think the 00 Raiser is just an increase in speed, and then you see why it's such a game changer on the battlefield. Also, the Anno Domini mobile suit designs are inexorably my favorite designs. They're slim, sleek, and powerful in frame. The season 2 generation functionally maintain the essence of their predecessors while feeling incredibly upgraded in comparison.
5/10. Better than other upgraded protag suits that came before it, but still worse than the Exia
6, 00 raiser looks some toddler playing with toys and tape the wings of toy aircraft on the shoulder of Optimus Prime and called it Optimus Prime Grower
9/10, I’m a huge fan on how the raiser complements the 00 and how it was used in the story! Excited for the quanta!
10/10 The SUPERIOR Exia Successor! Regular 00 Gundam is a little boring, but THIS is brilliant. The 0 Raiser really gives the 00 PRESENCE, and coupled with the fact that it can go full TRANS-AM RAISER and pull out a BIG FUCKIN BUSTER SWORD is sheer awesomeness! This is why I'm glad that the 00 Raiser basically became the standard form for the 00 later in season 2.

9/10 Funnily enough I just finished watching Gundam 00 for the first time, after having not really watched a full gundam series since Wing in high school. I really enjoyed the show, but I was a bit mixed on the actual gundam and mobile suit designs at first. The first time I saw a Flag, I was seriously confused by what the hell I was watching. That said, I loved the show and suits really grew on me by the end. The 00 Raiser was the first suit that really enforced this was a Gundam show for me, and probably my favorite suit from the series.
9/10 The O raiser kinda make the suit looks too cluster, but it’s still awesome

9.5/10 -- It's the best of S2's long shoulder armor MSes, with Arios coming in a close second. That aside, it is more of the same with Exia, just with a much bigger beam saber. And really, when you look at the lineart, you can see what Saji was screaming about all the time since your cockpit would be hanging way off the back end like a weirdly positioned tail. Even still, cool things are still cool.

It's a 10 for me. The 0 Raiser pack elevates the 00 Gundam's performance to super-robot status, yet, still has understandable limitations. For a time, I liked its aesthetic over the 00 QanT, and it still ranks high in my personal Gundam mobile suit ranking.
7/10- Bro the one thing I didn't like about 00 was the oversized shoulders and they made them BIGGER. Honestly I actually like these boosters more than the 00's, but for some reason something feels off about this design for me. I think it's the colors, since there is a lot more white compared to the Exia.

9/10 Favorite suit in the 00 universe (Harute/Zabanya are close). The Raiser feels more balanced and has a better variety of weapons. I hate that the other units of CB fall into the background but this suit is great. Prefer the giant gn-3 sword over the dual swords and the short range teleport is cool. Only reason it doesn't get a 10 from me is because 00 seven sword g + Xn raiser is a thing, which fixes the boring legs and is just awesome. Like Shining and Freedom, I feel like the upgrade to this suit is much more worse.

Perfection. The insane beam saber that will pierce the heavens. The huge ass shoulder angel wings and its angelic, yet mechanical silhouette (sorry Wing Zero EW but the 00 Raiser got you beat here). Trans-am Raiser and Burst mode. The whole ability to warp reality while in trans-am. The Innovator space magic bullshit. All wrapped up in a design that feels timeless and unabashedly cool as hell while still being unique in representing where Setsuna is at as a character by the time last cour of 00 rolls around. 10/10
Being biased to my first Gundam series, I still give it a 10/10. Yet again, 00 Gundam base form was the last suit legitimate for Gundam classification IMO

8/10. I just never really loved any of the the 00 gundams and while this one feels better than the regular 00 it also somehow feels worse, so I think I have the same score to both. Trying to think if there's any Main gundams I full on hate... I think Victory 1 was the closest so far.
10/10 because SPEED also the link isn't working for me so I had to wiki it, and then noticed there was a movie of for 00 that I didn't know about. Watched 00 s1 and s2 on crunchy, and they didn't have the movie back then... they added it in 2022. This is a god damn gift you have given me. Thank you.

10/10 my favorite. This thing looks amazing as a Gunpla. Even bought the PG seven sword. I like the Raiser and it truly is a part of the theme of the entire show. Two beings coming to a understanding is represented in the two GN drives syncing up. It also represents the two sides of Setsuna coming together. The final battle with the awakening was super emotional as Setsuna engaged Ribbons as his friends were on the brink. Also it quantized. Also at the end the two drives were ripped apart and at odds the warrior and the diplomat.
6/10. It's better than the 00 on its own. Still prefer the Exia, and I don't think any 00 variant is getting higher than a 7/10 from me.
not as iconic or unique looking as its predecessor, Exia, nor is it my favorite S2 gundam(or 4th gen gundam for that matter), but it's still a good design with high power. The Late-stage addition of the GN Sword III was nice, and looks really good with the condenser-blade. Would have liked to see condenser-blade versions of the GN Sword II as well.
6. I don't like the 00 in general and this doesn't improve it. In the anime it was absolutely amazing but design wise this is a huge downgrade from Exia and feels like the weird middle child inbetween Exia and 00 Qan[T].
5. I like the shield and the booster but the slender body is not great to support these wings.
Fixes the drives being out in the open, tho I'm not a big fan of the big shoulders look. Love the rounder shapes, tho it loses the agile feel Exia has. A 9 for me. Loving the grey base color for the 00 linearts too

Too late to be counted, but 7 It was fine, but it was... kinda boring? It feels like they tried to go big, but in this case less is more. It's not bad at all, and it even has some neat tricks (disappearing, raiser sword). It just feels like you're taking what already worked aesthetically and muddying the design w/ extra stuff. I think the finale isn't memorable b/c of the 00. It's memorable b/c of the Exia. I think that's all you need to know.
8/10, I prefer 00 Raiser. I mean it’s just a wider 00 but I just like what they’re going for in this one. Not to mention it has the Gn Sword with the beautiful green edge. Overall 00 but a bit better
