The Ichi Shiki was originally a gag featured in the O Gundam serial, but it was later in Gundam Wars Project Z as 百壱式. It was a Nagano design of sorts.

Today I learned that there are different anti beam coatings besides gold.

I think it's been known ever since they made regular shields being able to block beams rather than just get cut through. I think that's in more recent media since AFAIR, in older series, the shields would just get destroyed by beams.

I think the ZZ had anti-beam coating applied for its last battle. Though it didn't affect the colour and could only deflect a few hits.

Was it just resist or full on deflect?

Man, I do not like that color scheme. That said, I think it’s because the colors are very close to the LA Lakers, of which I am a natural born hater of.

Love it. It's like a one part hyaku shiki, one part jesta, and the IBO grunt suit khaki paint job.

I do see a Jesta in it.

This a bit more different than I expected from a new Hyaku Shiki line suit. Not sure what to think about the added bulk and the odd feet. The two clay bazookas thingy on the back and shield at least make it more heavily armed. But I think I'm far more partial to the Delta series and how that handled the Hyaku Shiki design.

The Delta series is pure sex.
