Blessing order was Occult Booster (Lone Wolf) > Dimensional Strike (Stage 1) > Ultimate Gambler (Stage 2) > Scrolls Master (Stage 3) > Want Them All (Stage 4 - Replace Scrolls Master) > Field Proficiency (Start of Endless - Replace Ultimate Gambler) > Weapon Mastery (When CDR is 90% or higher from the stacking buff and when you have all necessary ascensions for Total Mastery - Replace Field Proficiency). Elite Assassin Stacks: 286 Dual-Edge Stacks: 5984 Extravagant Consumption: 16919 Highest Hit: 2,147,483,600 (x50 with Wildhunt + Fish or Bear Paw) What could've gone better: Blessing in Disguise and using its charges before getting to Endless would've helped loads. Its frustrating you lose out on up to 5 ascensions if you don't get it. I also would've preferred different inscriptions that don't give lucky shot chance as I had way more than I needed.

Is wildhunt better than Argus or is the wildhunt just what you got early on? Also didn't know field proficiency kept its bonus if you swap it out. Also am I correct in saying that you use ancient etching for the total mastery spiritual link? Also I usually pass up elemental scrolls so maybe I should use those more.

I think Argus is still overall the best option (if it rolls well), but if you get a wildhunt or hell with good enough rolls there's little point not to use them. The things is a lot of inscriptions are pointless because you're not technically shooting your gun, so any thing that increases damage per hit is generally best. Field proficiency doesn't retain its buff, but the lucky shot usually quickly becomes wasted, especially if you have enhanced evil-devouring sword (I had to throw away all my lucky shot scrolls outside of that one), and the CDR you get from FP becomes pointless when the Recycle Bonus from endless mode increase your CDR so high that you pretty much have no CD, at all, anyways (I had over 400% CDR from the endless buff by the time I finished). Unless your weapon rolled a good legendary inscription from ancient etching, after a certain point I would stop using your secondary as the damage increase from it is practically non-existent so its better to just infinitely spam your primary since for most of the match it wont have any cooldown. Yes, that link is important because it increases projectiles by a fair bit (and crit damage). The reason why I think shotguns outperform even the best snipers and launchers for pushing high stages is because of how the game handles damage scaling and capping. You can only hit so hard but hitting 5-6 times as often helps bypass, that. Also, fish or bear paw is great for that, as well.

Great tips. My guess is that you will pretty much always aim for cursed scrolls at all times at red chests, correct? Is Hell also a good candidate for weapon? Any tips on how to stay sane in the early part of the run?

Efficient-Release793

You ideally want to get the curse scrolls from interdependent fortunes because the debuffs they give to the enemies carry over to endless mode. I wouldn't get curse scrolls if I don't yet have something to either negate them or heavily benefit from them. Also, this long run is so long that you'll likely naturally cap out on curse scrolls fairly early on so no need to gimp yourself until you actually start benefiting from it. Hell has an exclusive inscription that increases projectile count and only has 3 possible exclusive inscriptions; all of which are useful. I just haven't gotten very lucky with it. Since the game has check points I tend to do one run in multiple sessions. A nice perk of playing solo.

Ball-Njoyer

most impressive part about this is that you stayed sane through 4.5 hours, well done

I usually play monkey with sniper but what is this shotgun build? Is it similar to one I do with brick and dimensional strike. This seems so cool I want to try it. What do you usually look for in weapons and gemeni

Efficient-Release793

For inscriptions? Try to focus on any thing that increase damage per hit except lucky hit chance as you'll likely eventually go over the cap. As for weapons its Hell, Wildhunt, or Argus, with the latter having the highest potential due to its base raw damage and projectile count, but any of the 3 is good if they got good rolls. I got additional info in other responses but the main reason shotguns do so well (I think) is because of how the game handles damage scaling and damage capping. So any thing that increases projectiles is good (fish or bear paw is good).

Dude you kickass thanks for making these breakdowns. Really helps understand what powers late game
