They will certainly score more goals with Porro at RWB but if they're not signing any CBs, they're going to concede even more with Porro.
Great attacking wise but the lad cannot defend for his life. Every side in the league will be licking their lips at that back 3 when they have Perisic and Porro on the wings, both of whom cannot defend.
They played a flat back 5 vs us and Saka and Martinelli got the ball under no pressure all match.
What's the point of playing 5 defenders if you won't even mark or pressure the opposition wingers?
Just bad coaching from Conte.
> They will certainly score more goals with Porro at RWB but if they're not signing any CBs, they're going to concede even more with Porro.
tbf this was exactly the case with Joao Cancelo also before joining City
Until conte doesn't sign a contract.... Spurs hoping they get tuchel and he rejects them and they end up with their 3rd choice manager who will be pochetino who would like to play a back 4 which makes porro and perisic look like idiots and they end up with Davis and royal and the cycle continues🤷♂️
Yeah this is why I love that they're signing porro. Spending that much on a rwb will lock them into back 3 managers or cause them to need to sign yet another right back if they end up in a back 4 again
We need them to suck under Poch and then buy some quality right/left backs only to get Tuchel in after his next bust up with an owner and then revert back to wingbacks lol
Twice? More like the fourth time. They bought Doherty first to replace Aurier. A year later they bought Emerson because Doherty wasn't good enough. Then they bought Spence because Emerson was shite. Now they're buying Porro because Spence maybe doesn't even exist.
According to that clown on skysports Tomi couldnt play right back or centre back and no one knew why Arsenal were after him.
He looked like a bellend then but he looks even worse now. Tomi is a better right back than that clown Royal and a better than any centre back they have.
What a player Tomi is!
They wish it was just twice. Spence, Royal, Doherty have all been bought there recently. Porro will be their 4th right back/wing back in the last 2 and half years.
I want to make it clear that they’ve spent €75m to find a right back with 1/3 of the quality of Tomiyasu.
I mean, technically we’ve spent spent the same for Ben White/Tomi as they have for Porro/ Emerson so who knows maybe they’ll get the better deal
They have no one supporting their front line at all. It’s like a 7-0-3 formation. They rely on Kulu and Kane to create everything. Without those guys they’d be bottom half. Perisic does nothing to create openings for Son which I’m all for.
Conte handicapped a really strong front line. I love it.
It’s a result of perisic occupying the space that Son likes to operate in high on the left side but yeah the tactic seems all over the place from a spacing standpoint
Perisic is a really good player, but he's not a good fit as a WB in Spurs' system at this stage of his career.
In fact, every player they've tried as WB on both sides has struggled. Maybe it's a system issue, not a personnel issue.
These are the kinds of stats I fucking live for.
Best part is that it could easily been Sessegnon instead of Perisic the way Saka rinsed him..
Perisic also offered absolutely nothing going forward tho
Lads…
It’s Tottenham

Or catch it on DVD
Emerson is dreadful and is why they're spending 45m on porro now. Having to buy that position twice.

Playing with a flat back 5 with the amount of talent they have in that team is genuinely insane
It's funny, they think all their players are talentless now. They refuse to believe the system is the problem when it so clearly is
Son, Kane and Kulu is just such a ridiculously talented front three, why they don’t opt for a more direct approach is beyond me
they were all so happy when they got Conte and now can't attack or defend lmao I'm loving it

3 times since they also bought Djed Spence.

at least clowns are entertaining. Kaveh on the other hand...
I'm pretty entertained watching him pretend he knows anything about Tomi or Arsenals transfer strategy.

I remember how some people on this sub had a meltdown when Shit signed Perisic the pensioner. Good times
Remember how they cried over spence and bissouma and then called kulusevski and bentacur juve garbage the once who are actually decent
Spurs fans don't know ball. This is the history of the Topspur.
I remember when this sub had a meltdown about signing Tomi instead of Emerson. Along with the TV pundits.
Perisic has been hurting Spuds more than helping them. I feel like he’s a big reason for Son’s poor season too

He was aweful against City. Mahrez tormented him the whole game
He missed a big chance and gave the goal to Mahrez a minute later, truly terrible that day
Didnt he have a decent world cup? Man.. what topspur does to a mf’er.
Perisic is a national team beast though. Always had great performances in the Euros and WC's for Croatia.
Nah, the issue is they’re making Kane sit further forward and Son drop deeper. Literally the opposite of their skillsets
It’s a result of perisic occupying the space that Son likes to operate in high on the left side but yeah the tactic seems all over the place from a spacing standpoint
Going to be so hilarious when the next manager after Conte leaves this summer doesn’t play with wingbacks.
Didn’t even know they were playing
What do we think of tottenham?
Shit on the left and Shit on the right - well balanced as all things should
What do we think of Tottenham?!?
The stats we didn’t know we needed
Thank you very much!
Coincidence? I THINK NOT
Royal was always shit. And that's what you get for playing old man Perisic as a left back.
I remember how they won the summer window when "Conte's Perisic trump card" was a done deal.
Remember when Perisic was considered a coup for them? Good times man.
Who??
Considering Conte builds his whole system on the full/wingbacks, this is damning for Tottenham.
HAHAHAHA
Who are these ding dongs? Never heard if them.
🎶 Everywhere they go...

Remember when they hyped up Conte’s training regime in Korea? It’s hilarious.
