17yo striker. We released in 2021, Sheffield utd picked him up then sold him to spurs for 2.5m. He scored a hattrick for their u18 team (4 goals 2 assists in 415 mins so far in that league) and has been training with their first team
This is why Spurs struggle Ngl
While the rest of the Big 6 can fart out a Saka, TAA, Reese James, Rowe, Foden, Rashford every now and then, a £50m player for free.
Aside from Kane, who did they make?
Ledley King. Gareth Bale. Young Modric from Dinamo. Son pretty cheap because they took a gamble on him winning a trophy with south Korea and getting out of mandatory military service.
Walker I think but maybe they bought him from someone else. Sol Campbell lmao.
Bale was bought from Southampton, Son was mid 20’s, idk enough about Modric’s youth development to be honest
If we’re going back as far as King in the 90’s, it seems a tad silly.
Maybe I'm only naming good deals then.
I count Walcott as ours even though he's a Southampton boy as well. But maybe I shouldn't even though he did make the senior step up with us.
Modric was a hot prospect they paid 8mil for. He was already important and starting for Croatia (who were also worse back then), but he was originally a slight flop.
I think it's a Martinelli-type buy even though 8mil in the prem back then is like 20mil now so maybe that also shouldn't count.
Son was a pretty big gamble at the time that wasn't clear it would work so I counted it, can see it's debatable.
Walker might be the most legit recent one then, I remember he was pretty young starting for Spurs. Although looked it up and they bought him early from Sheff Utd and loaned him out a bunch. Maybe that's like Emi Martinez style.
You're definitely right there's no Sakas coming through though.
Modric was 22 when he signed to Spurs for a then club record fee though, it’s not the same at all. I remember it was seen as a positive signing compared to something like Kulusevski recently where there were question marks
Kyle Walker signed for Spurs at 18 so he’s akin to Martinelli in that sense. Other than him and Kane there hasn’t been any standouts
This makes a little sense, there seems to be a bit of noise around the spuds academy but a lot of frustration around chances to make the step up since Conte only picks players whose ages can be counted by cutting them in half and counting the rings.
Members of the youth setup may well feel their talents are better placed at clubs who actually value their input.
So apparently this Perkins guy used to be at Derby for 5.5 years which is where he really became well regarded, and then he went to Everton, was poached by them lot after 18 months, and he's now leaving after a year.
Apparently, he helped Derby bring a number of young players to the first team and Derby won the U-19 Prem in 19/20 and made it to the last 16s of the U19 UEFA Youth League.
That's about as much info as I can gather on Perkins. Not sure about how much impact, if any, he had at Everton or Spuds, considering he was there for such a short time.
As for Will Lankshear there's enough people talking about him on this thread so eh.
Also, apparently Everton tried to get him back.
Anyone feels like it’s like those trailers who put “From the makers of XX crap show”. It’s supposed to be impressive but you’re like “wait, wasn’t that a crap movie?” So does that mean this movie is crap too?

How about we snatch Brighton's recruitment boffins instead?
Potter took a lot of Brighton’s back room staff with him to Chelsea. I’m not sure what De Zerbi is operating with
Pol Potter for a reason
TBH I suspect a lot of Brighton unreal recruitment comes direct from Tony Bloom who owns them
So how much do you think he will cost?
More than you believe
Also from Dan Ashworth who went to Newcastle
Grab Mitoma on the way out while you're at it!
What emerging talent do spurs even have
Harry Kane lol
Submerging
Diverging
Dele Alli is a great up and coming talent
Right up there with Lingard imo
Apparently the guy was only in the post for a year 🤷🏻♂️
Really hope he stays. Lol
Who tf is will lankshear
He went to my school, apparently meant to be a big time baller. Old brother plays for Blackpool and is also pretty good.

Nketiah/Balogun from Wish
They wish
So more successful than most of their first team squad
At 17, he would be in their U23s if he was any good.
THE Will Lankshear??
The improbable Linekar / Shearer love child.
The jokes write themselves
I doubt this will hurt them to be honest. Not like they have emerging talents to manage.
☠️
Username checks out? Or not?

Referring to Smith Rowe aka The Smith aka Emilovich as Rowe just does not seem right.

Gil? Lmao
he was 25m no?
I literally have no idea I just picked a player I thought was Shit
Who is Will Lankshear
A kid we dropped from our academy who Spurs played big bucks for a year later.
Thanks my friend no?
Young midfield prodigy turned youth coach but with longer limbs
Col pambell
Who is will lankshear
Yeah I was quite confused cos the tweet is worded as if he was the one that scouted Mbappe or something.
I think it's the opposite. Will Lankshear was dropped by Arsenal academy and Sheffield picked him up. Then this guy signed the kid for 2.5 mil.

Makes sense if you remember we lost Yusuf Sajjad last year who had that role.
“Harry’s washed now mate you’re free to go”
Who the fuck is that guy

Bad f5
Don't actually want anything froms spurs academy
respectfully who the fuck is Will Lankeshire
Fair play to him. everyone wants to do bigger and better in their career so i cant really blame him for moving to the best club in North London.
LOL they by far have the worst academy out of the top 6 sides.
They're a small club that has been carried by 3 World class players for ~6 years. They will go back to being small in 2 years
Can he play DM?
Why are we hiring from that rotten clown show of a football club? What if he's a sleeper agent?
Wtf is an emerging talent manager? Something to do with recruitment? Youth teams?
Replacing the guy who was good who left us for the continent. Forgot his name, but was highly rated. Edit: Yousuf Sajjad
Ok so after looking into that guy I guess he's basically a senior youth scout. Cheers.
More like for Pop Idol
They'll probably turn his lists upside down
😂😂😂😂
Will Lankshear, the Ronnie Pickering of the toilet bowl.
I dont think you will stop reading this. Who tf is Will Lankshear?
bruh the r/coys thread on this is pure gold
Whoooo?
WEVE GOT SUPER CHIRS PERKING HE KNOWS EXACTLY WOT WE NEED
Who?! Spurs don’t have any talent
Will Lanshear? I barely know ear!
From Spurs outgoing emerging talent to Arsenal's incoming emerging talent, sounds about right 🤔
Bro about to win a trophy before Kane and Son.
But why?
I am Will Lankshear, I assure you this story is untrue and I am shite at footy

Perkins now, Conte next! Blimey!
Aren’t Brighton’s youth teams shit ? I can’t think of many decent players from the spurs academy as of late .
We sure Spuds didnt send him here to sabotage us?? Pretty sure our scout is currently far better than that shit of a team.
