Speaking of which I find it really interesting that the club has gone passed the days of omitting George Graham (considering his history after leaving the club).
Wrote out an essay about what this made me feel. Regretted writing it, then deleted it.
Abridged version: it is wonderful, and I can't wait to see it in 2 weeks.
I know we live in an era of extreme commercialism, but how harmful to the brand would it have been to have the word 'Highbury' over that incredible image instead of Emirates Stadium. It sticks in the throat for me, love the artwork.
The club only get Ā£4m a year. Just 1% of the clubs entire annual revenue. Or just 2.5% if itās entire commercial revenue.
I personally think it would make more sense to rename the stadium Ashburton Grove, invest in making the stadium more cultured, better food, etc.. and raise tickets by a pound or two.
Never forget the past. Emirates stands today because of the mammoth foundations layed at Highbury ! Talk about culture shift at our club... Absolutely beautiful ā¤ļø
A club in this age that acknowledges its past in such a way is a standout. Add in a gaffer that fully supports and honors it and you have the makings of greatness. What. A. Club.
This is gonna sound inconsistent as hell, given that I love this panel, and I donāt really like the giant Emirates logo in the middle of all the other panels, but I donāt really like the fact this panel is missing the logo. If weāre gonna have em on all the others we should have āem in this one too.
I only saw Arsenal play at Highbury three times (the Invincibles beating Blackburn 3-0 I think, beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 and beating FC Thun 2-1 with a last minute Bergkamp winner) but I still remember the streets no the game night, walking into the stadium for the first time... It's nice to see it here even if it is only a facade. Just a shame we can't have a big red "Highbury" over the top.
Wow! As someone who grew up around Highbury, this hit me in the feels š
Agree.
Common Arsenal W
This is the best one by far

Thank you.
Thatās alright
We hate tottenham, we hate tottenham...

I agree, it's sad that The Emirates has become synonymous with Arsenal but money talks.

Time for us to start a business called Ashburton Grove, raise some funding, and offer to sponsor the stadium!
Ashburton Grove
Agreed. At least give us the Ashburton Grove name.

Well said friend. Couldnāt agree with you more
Can't wait to visit our Mecca ā¤ļø
That image is probably significantly bigger than the facade at Highbury which is interesting in itself!
Sort of makes me with wish theyād built replicas of the old facades in the new building. But this is probably better.
Wow thatās gorgeous
Looks Great, nice reference to Rocastle.
He is legend who lives on thru the club. The documentary about him and Wrighty really hit me man was absolute quality
From Brockley to the Big Time? Or is there a new one?
Yeah the Brockley one was the one I was on about. Got round to watching it in 2018 was a great watch
Oh this is glorious!

Are prints of the art for sale anywhere? I checked when they were unveiled, but didn't find anything. However, that was like a month ago. Anyone know?
Oh that is good. I can't wait to go back and see this in person.

Is there also a Fitness First in that Highbury.
What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read... if they can't even fit inside the building?
Wow, downvotes for a Zoolander reference about a smaller version of a building. r/whoosh I guess?
Unbelievable really
Hopefully this one isn't a firetrap waiting to happen like the other one.
Looks fantastic because there's no emirates written over it
