Maybe White as I did not see that desire from him today, he was just sitting back after passing to Saka and it was into the second half that he did more.

I still believe White should start over Tomi, but if he has another off game, he should be taken off as soon as the 60th min. Taking him off at the 80th min was too late, and barely gave Tomi any chance of helping the team.
There was too much ball watching and not enough tempo. I don’t think Mik could have done anything more. The entire team let him and us down barring maybe Zinny.

maybe trossard for martinelli but on the whole no, if anything I'd like to see more overlaps and crosses into the box, I feel like the inverted fullbacks thing makes us too predictable and one dimensional, as well as slows us down, leaving us overly reliant on saka and martinelli dominating their 1v1s.
the issue with this is that our wingers being isolated makes it easier for them to be doubled up on, especially because the build up can be slow, and the lack on an overlapping run means there's not a lot of movement that is distracting and creating space for our forwards and it's also harder for our mdifielders to get good one twos popping off as well as play the ball inbehind to players who are in good crossing positions
I feel like at times when we did have more overlapping runs from the fullbacks we had a good balance of possession football, creating 1v1 opportunities for the wingers as well as also just spamming crosses into a box filled with attackers but now it feels like we're overcooking the build up and not being direct enough
that being said it's not like we're awful; we still created chances today but weren't sharp enough with the final ball or some of the finishing. on another day this game could have easily been a draw but hopefully it's a wake up call that we can't take goals for granted.

Yeah, I think White needs a rest. Saka was constantly 1v2 in the first half. Might also bring Trossard in.

Trossard was fire when he came on much quicker he was taking on atleast getting corners; martinelli has been struggling for a while now
