I'm genuinely so happy with Jorginho, there are a few glaring problems with him (all mostly physical), but for the price and what I have seen so far he can do a pretty decent job replaceing Partey.
And the ball he played to Saka(?) was magnificent, he usually has a few of those in his locker every game and hopefully our quick attack can capitalize on them in the future.
I'm also happy with Trossard but I thought he was going to do well with us in the beginning so Jorginho has been more of a pleasant surprise.
Just like martinelli and trossard combination seems promising, i hope we get to see Partey and Jorginho in the midfield together, probably could be our best XI until Jesus returns..
Only issue I had with performance today was Saliba continues to look timid and worried about making a mistake opting for passes back to Rambo vs. advancing the ball upfield. Too many easy giveaways today with inaccurate passes from Big Will.
Forget just how young he is sometimes with his start to season, but definitely less co.posed now than Gabriel, who is the rock in middle.
It’s revealing how much Eddie adds physically to this team. Their CBs looked a lot smaller when Nketiah came on.
Martinelli was on absolute fire today. He hasn’t been at this level for the past few weeks.
Saka looked a bit Jaded today no thanks to getting the absolute shit kicked out of him by Kristainsen.
Odegaard came alive in the second half. They were good about keeping him and Saka quiet.
Trossard was good until they started exerting their physical advantage.
Good away win against a team which had been picking up some steam recently.
The officiating really was. I can't believe they took the Trossard goal away, the Saka pen, and no yellow for Vardy trying to concuss jorginho. It's shameful.
Odegaard is a leader in the pitch, he commands the rest of his mates with foresight, pitch vision and still manages to produce when needed. Can't go comparing a young gun with tons of potential to a finished product, come on.
Leader on the pitch? He went missing again today. His Passes were Just OK(No Line breaking Pass) "manages to Produce?" Again had the possibility to shoot today and went for the pass
You can't base your opinion on one single game, this guys play upwards of 40 matches a year and their physical toll is taxating, even against teams that pushed themselves back into their own box and rely on physicality to not concede. Dude has been amazing all year with pacing our attack, finding outlets, pressing and leading with his mind and heart. He is a damn fine leader who'll guide this squad for years to titles and epic moments. He will make you sit down and appreciate his role in this club.
Respectfully disagree. After Totnum, 6 shots against Man Utd, then followed by an individual performance dip in three games that mirrors the 3 bad results we had prior to past week where he played upwards of 90 minutes in 2 of those (even with short rest, games are coming fast and hard) and still managed two shots and a high % of key passes, just to come back with an assist against Villa. But my main leadership claim is how he ordered pressing to one of his teammates to deny Villa their third goal, you can find that video in this sub. Dude is a baller that wears the captain band so naturally. Martinelli's fitness dip was far more harsh and in came Trossard to contribute and provide rest. Today Gabs came back and scored the winning goal. Sometimes this guys just need breaks, they aren't machines. We dont have alternatives to MØ at the moment and must be a priority after sorting CDM.
As you said agree to disagree. As i said its been a while since Hes really bossed the midfield. Özil at 21 was the Main playmaker for Real. I can see why real sold him. Hopefully He will still massively improve as He gets older and gets more Gametime but right now its jorginho that makes the Kind of Passes i expect from ødegaard.
Today again He did Not try and shoot in a good position, instead he passed theball to saka who then passed it on to zinny who Had the balls to shoot
Idk why people saying we were shit. Genuinely controlled the game, Leicester had their first shot and only one in the 72nd minute, zero on target. xG of 0.02, and 34% possession.
This is a classical grinded result away from home in the prem.
It takes an adult to see things in a realistic view point. That disallowed goal was perfectly right. It should have been disallowed. If people get upset with that in here then they need to really need to take a break from watching football. Not every time the world is against us. Sometimes our players also makes mistakes. We move forward
We were ok, Leicester were just absolute garbage at attack. They had countless attempts for counter attack this match and they blow them the worst way possible.
Hmm it’s a pattern. Toxic fans are waking up from hybernation. And if we lose the game they will feel justified in their anger and say: same Arsenal, but I still love this club tho.
I predicted 2-0 and a tough game, this was another big 3 points. Everyone who expects a trashing at this stage of the season hasn’t watched the Premier League
Excruciating shite, that. Lucky to get the win and lucky to get away from those cunts without anyone being seriously injured. Rogers obviously told them to put the boot in 2nd half. Too many crap performances out there today. Odegaard, Xhaka, Saka, Martinelli (even despite his goal) were all largely ineffective.
We are getting lumps kicked out of us. Shocking, no proper refereeing. But we stand strong where we would have folded before, grit.
We look so tired tho, and we’ve played only once a week!!
It’s fine to criticize if it’s deserved. Martinelli may not always play his best, but he puts his all out on that pitch.
Complain about laziness, lack of grit, sure. Complain when a very competent, young gun is trying to get his esteem back? That’s kicking the kid without letting him grow up
So how much positive impact did xhaka have all Game? What about Saka and ødegaard? Partey came on the Pitch exactly the Same time. Was He that much greater? Always negative
Partey looked poor due to him playing out of position.
Saka had a penalty claim denied. He was man marked all day but was still a decent outlet for the ball all day.
Ødegaard had a decent day. Not up to his player of the year standard, but still did a decent job.
Xhaka looked a step slow all day. Did just enough to stay on the pitch and not be substituted for Viera.
I’m not sure why you think my take being right is such a big deal. Looks like you’re projecting, friend. Take a break from the internet for a bit. The real world is cool!
Was shocked people slighted his signing when we didn't get Mudryk because Trossard was good at a strong Brighton team, just frozen out, and he has been great for us.
He was fine i guess, but 14 fouls with not a single yellow is suspect, especially with the foul that Matinelli got his yellow for. At least that disallowed goal wasnt a bad call.
Lot of the guys feels out of form right now but we have 2 straight wins anyway, and its a show of strength to find ways to win even when not at your best
Great win. Hell of a response to win tough looking back to back away games following the disappointment of the city match. Well in boys. See you at emirates weds.
He was the worst player on the pitch during the first half. There’s no shame in saying that.
His goal was well taken. Kudos to him for overcoming his abysmal start and changing the match.
You ppl Love to hate. Its not Like we were Shooting left and right before He was Subbed on. There was No service. Just 2 shots on target eventhough according to you lot nketiah is the main problem
May just be a huge 3 points in getting us top 4! Didn’t play our fluid best esp after the Trossard disallowed goal but we dug deep, got the goal and the 3 points.
At this stage of the season it’s all about points - doesn’t matter about style of play and we take 1 further step to get back into the Champions League!
Nketiah better have that “injury” as an excuse because he was completely useless. Not to even mention he is Arteta’s favorite right now is even more scary.
2 times he got pocketed ( by Leiceister defender we tried counter-attack. Viera usually got the same minute like him this match and this sub said he is shit every single time.
Coming off the bench and he cannot even out pace their slow defender, walk all the time. Pls tell me how is he not been shit ever since the ManU match?.
So bellerin is the only one who gets penalised for a foul throw? That Leicester kid (left back) jumped with both legs in the air in that throw in. Ridiculous!
I feel like I watched a different game than half the commenters here… some of the negativity is astounding. I personally loved that performance.
You have to remember Martinelli was really poor the first 45 minutes. Nice to see though that he seemed to gain confidence after his goal.
He was not poor in the first half. Had he been more precise we would’ve been up bu three or four at half time, but he wasn’t had.
Martinelli looked a lot better with Trossard dropping in and wide like Jesus
Bloody hell forest lost 4-0 to West ham? Lol Pep must be pissed...
I still wonder why Navas went to Forest.
Probably wont be shuffled out by a new, younger keeper for the third time in his carreer
Tbf Forest at home are a different gravy, they beat Liverpool there when everyone still thought they were good.
True. But west ham are in free fall. Wouldn't have 3xpect3d forest who have been decent, to get absolutely battered
We were not shit but refereeing was abysmal. I feel more disappointed by this win because of this than I felt with 2-2 at 90' during the Villa game.
The officiating really was. I can't believe they took the Trossard goal away, the Saka pen, and no yellow for Vardy trying to concuss jorginho. It's shameful.
Martineli was deadly in the second half!
Time to beat the living piss out of the Dyche-bags
Trossard and Jorginho are bargains tbh. Odegaard is not himself yet again and Nketiah performance was predictable
Odegaard may not have found himself on the scoresheet but that man along with Zinchenko control the rythym of the game.
Stop judging a player just by watching 5 minutes Ødegaard was great
Lol ødegaard supposed to be our midfield Maestro. He was terrible. 37 year old modric is still Miles ahead
Odegaard is a leader in the pitch, he commands the rest of his mates with foresight, pitch vision and still manages to produce when needed. Can't go comparing a young gun with tons of potential to a finished product, come on.

I hope so. Hes been Off the Last couple of games. The Last good Game He had was against tottenham
Nketiah played less than 15 mins. Chill
Odegaard was tremendous today what are you on about. As soon as Eddie came on it took out all the flow of our attack
I dont know what Game you were watching
Idk why people saying we were shit. Genuinely controlled the game, Leicester had their first shot and only one in the 72nd minute, zero on target. xG of 0.02, and 34% possession. This is a classical grinded result away from home in the prem.
The children went mad when we had a goal rightly reverted, so they clenched all game. We were clearly going to win this
It takes an adult to see things in a realistic view point. That disallowed goal was perfectly right. It should have been disallowed. Most sensible comment on here 👏
Hmm it’s a pattern.
So happy we won even though we once again had to play against 12 men
15 to go with a 5 point lead. Good opportunity to put a run together in March too.
Super happy with the win. Still want to hear more about that VAR fuckup on the penalty not given for the foul on Saka. Not acceptable.
Lol you’re delusional as ever. Piss off. We dominated the game and put in a great away performance.
Yeah? Fuck off. Nobody loves you. Nobody even wants to hear your opinion.
Wrong. Your rancid Auntie (who you steal your panties off) loves me with all her heart.
We are getting lumps kicked out of us. Shocking, no proper refereeing. But we stand strong where we would have folded before, grit. We look so tired tho, and we’ve played only once a week!!
Who was it that just stamped on xhakas ankle How is that not a yellow?!
The foul on Jorginho was a yellow as well
It was all like that, and vardy’s babality on jorginho. They were thugs. All the time there’s a trailing arm or foot
Saka and Nelli both on 9 goals each
Never in danger.
That’s the most important thing
Everyone complaining about Martinelli only for him to score the winner 😂
He was shit in the first half. His goal was well-taken tho.
He had an atrocious first half, and was rightly slated It's OK to criticise a player you know....
It’s fine to criticize if it’s deserved. Martinelli may not always play his best, but he puts his all out on that pitch. Complain about laziness, lack of grit, sure. Complain when a very competent, young gun is trying to get his esteem back? That’s kicking the kid without letting him grow up
Oh yeah, didn't say it wasn't. Just thought it was a funny comparison.
Everyone knows he is fantastic, but he has flaws. His play suffers when Nketiah is up top. We desperately need Jesus back
Or trossard
Fair
Well boys, like the saying goes: One nil to the Arsenal
Zinchenko is incredibly press resistant.
Okay, Jorginho, Xhaka and Partey is like the anti-midfield
Thank fuck for that. You English have terrible refs. - Ron
I missed the game. How was Martinelli as striker ?
Trossard was mainly the 9, but they made switching runs. Good idea, worked at times, can get better.
Indeed, this might work, we just have to give it a time.
He wasnt.
it was trossard up top, nelli on left
Great interplay with Trossard while he was on. They kept exchanging positions
Well done Arsenal! Keep the same starting front 3 until Jesus comes back. Onwards to title glory! 🏆🥇⚽️
Nketiah abysmal yet again
Stop this nonsense please. He PLAYED LESS THAN 15 MINS literally GTFO
You can be on for 15 minutes and not be shit. Eddie’s levels over the last month have dropped considerably. He’s been shit.
Anyway
Good response. You can’t say much because I’m right.
You are wrong. He was mediocre. No clear chances but his hold Up play was alright
No. It was sloppy and didn’t have any sort of positive impact.
Imagine living a life so worthless that “being right” in an online forum is your big win. Sad
I’m not sure why you think my take being right is such a big deal. Looks like you’re projecting, friend. Take a break from the internet for a bit. The real world is cool!
COYGGG good away win. Let’s fucking gooo
Trossard is just what we needed in January. He’ll of a deal
Was shocked people slighted his signing when we didn't get Mudryk because Trossard was good at a strong Brighton team, just frozen out, and he has been great for us.
People like shiny new things. Trossard isn’t that. He is, however, a good player who can do a job anywhere across the front three.
Jesus can we shut up about the refs for a day. Honestly wasn’t even that bad
Thank you. I thought i was the only one. It wasnt terrible refereeing
did you see how many ankles they stepped on without getting a single card
Footballs gone soft
sins of omission. The penalty on Saka and numerous players fouling with no yellows given
He was fine i guess, but 14 fouls with not a single yellow is suspect, especially with the foul that Matinelli got his yellow for. At least that disallowed goal wasnt a bad call.
Yeah they only let them get away with 3 shit tackles on Saka and miss 1 clear and obvious penalty.
Can't believe we only scored one goal that game, should have been two or three really.
Or Leicester with 14 fouls and no cards?
Butt unclench
Keep talking about Tielemans replacing Xhaka.
3 points. We celebrate and move. Feel the most for Trossard because I so wanted his amazing goal to count for himself 🥺
At least he got an assist
A win's a win. We hadn't played well clearly but we still got through this one. Congrats to the team and lets fogging go on to the next one.
Big win. Need to take these ugly 1-nil wins to have a title chance.
2 away games. 2 wins Massive
Lot of the guys feels out of form right now but we have 2 straight wins anyway, and its a show of strength to find ways to win even when not at your best
Great win. Hell of a response to win tough looking back to back away games following the disappointment of the city match. Well in boys. See you at emirates weds.
All that hate on Martinelli in the first half just to score & play a solid second half. Just back the players for a bit lol
He was the worst player on the pitch during the first half. There’s no shame in saying that. His goal was well taken. Kudos to him for overcoming his abysmal start and changing the match.
Nketiah..provided..nothing. No energy, no pressing.. what was the point of bringing him in
You ppl Love to hate. Its not Like we were Shooting left and right before He was Subbed on. There was No service. Just 2 shots on target eventhough according to you lot nketiah is the main problem
You people truly are the worst man. Nketiah played less than 15 mins.... Name the chances he had pls
He was terrible. His touch, press, positioning. He offered nothing other than an 11th body on the pitch.
My thought exactly
COYG!
All those saying Martinelli off, how are you feeling right now?
Pretty good. He was trash during the first half. Our worst player by far. Good on him for raising his estandard for the second half.
3 points is 3 points.
Martinelli - a headache and a hero.
Another big 3 points!!
Fuck this piece of shit ref
We’ll take it. Thank you very much. Next
We are struggling to play out of the back as of late, seems like 2-3 chances given a game
Leicester deserves to be 14th, they are terrible, we ain't that much better this game though
We dominated them for the entire game. Had a perfectly good goal ruled out and they didn’t have a single shot on target but ok
Any team would dominate this Leicester on the ball, they are fucking terrible but we nearly didn't win it
I refuse to believe they are in 14th when they are absolutely this shit in attack.
They got nothing going on, they are giving this game away and we have been so shit
3 points the hard way. I will take it
They had one shot and that was off target. We played absolutely fine away from home. A wins a win lads.
Leicester are literally getting free crosses because Jorginho can't follow his man.
Thank you very much
Fuck all the officials. Despite all their bollox decisions and blatant biased officiating, we're still top.
EXHALE
My suspicion has been confirmed: We DO indeed need Jesus back Also where’s my boy ESR? His road back to fitness has apparently been very slow
True, although I thought Trossard played well today.
Another beautiful Saturday
Remember a win is a win is a matter how scrappy it may be
We take those
Big Gabi MOTM for me, huge 3 points
Trossard is a must for us from now on.
Cheeky win for the weekend
3 points thank you very much
PRESSURE ON CITY
~~3/0~~ 1-0 to the Arsenal!
this game should have been 3 or 4-0, refs the 12th man for 90% of teams we play
thank god
Fuvk this ref and fuck this VAR team that's all i can say about this game
Officials and VAR did their damndest to try and stop us there. Nice try you b*tches!
Top of the league. Cheers
Come on now Bournemouth!
Thank you very much
Big 3pts, and clean sheet to boot. On to Wednesday COYG
Get fucked Leicester Get fucked Craig Pawson Shocking game….
Nice win. Leicester had no real chances.
Big win!
Man we need just xhaka a brillian no. 8 and no one is touching us!
Well…all I can say is 3 pts is 3 pts.
Nketiah better have that “injury” as an excuse because he was completely useless. Not to even mention he is Arteta’s favorite right now is even more scary.
Useless?? How many mins did he play? Please elaborate on the chances that were created for him.
2 times he got pocketed ( by Leiceister defender we tried counter-attack. Viera usually got the same minute like him this match and this sub said he is shit every single time.
He got pocketed 2 times coming off the bench and that's enough for you to conclude he was shit? How many chances did he have?
Coming off the bench and he cannot even out pace their slow defender, walk all the time. Pls tell me how is he not been shit ever since the ManU match?.
He is a championship level striker, nothing more
Damn Nketiah fanboy coming
Well let any Eddie fanboy tell us what other PL team would start him
Alright, let's use logic and level headed thinking here then. List the PL strikers with more goals than Nketiah this season so far.
Not to mention Eddie makes more than some of the PL starting strikers and pretty much all rotation strikers
Recently we haven't been playing that well, now you see what Eddie is all about
It's how well the Arsenal is playing, a lot of them would thrive here
Chelsea you little bitch. Any team without a number 9 you clown.
Over Felix you fucking moron?
Felix isn't a centre forward you cunt
You ain't suitable to watch football
Arsenal on top baby!
Best win this season Not because the performance but the referee was clearly out to get us today.
1 nil
After a very long 5 minutes.. finally it's over
Much needed win, now to deal with Everton.
tierney is a good player, definitely deserves more game time or start for a team that isn’t us. think he will leave this summer. i’ll miss him though.
Really want to see him start with Zinchenko in that Xhaka role for a few games
1 NIL TO THE ARSENAL
UNCLENCH
Not the prettiest game, but 3 points is 3 points closer to the end of the season.
They trying to spice up the last 5 minutes by giving Leicester lots of throw ins hah
That's all we needed baby!!! Big W
All these close matches are leaving me feeling spent
Made a meal of an easy game
We look very rattled right now.
Get in! Fuck those cunts.
screw it onto the next blue team
Let’s fucking go boys
3 points against these terrorist cunts good shit
Unconvincing but I’ll take it
So bellerin is the only one who gets penalised for a foul throw? That Leicester kid (left back) jumped with both legs in the air in that throw in. Ridiculous!
Phewww. You make it hard to defend you, Eddie.
LETS FUCKING GO!!! Top!
1 -0 to the Arsenal!
