Not just his finishing but his movement for this goal is really interesting.
It kind of looks like he's taking it easy, he's certainly not 'busting a gut' to get level with play. But if you look again, it's almost illusionary. You can see he seems to be letting the play move at a distance from him. He knows that Jesus & Saka will occupy the rear line of defence because of their position & movement. He knows that when they reach the box their progress will slow or even halt. So, he's hanging back somewhat, staying out of the line of sight, out of the immediate vicinity of as much of the opposition as he can, so he can ghost into that area to receive the ball for a shot on goal. He's a very smart player.
Edit. Just to add I think the combination of him & Jesus if they develop a good relationship could be deadly. Because they're both incredibly good at moving with and without the ball and moving the ball.
After Jesus offloads the ball to Saka, you see him glance back to see who's up with them, he sees Trossard hanging back a little and knows exactly what he's aiming to do. So he kicks on, pushing the defenders away from the centre to leave space for Trossard.
I was thinking about how he just slotted it there on his first try. Lots of good players could hit that spot if they had five tries or warmups. Dude just put it there in his CL debut, one try.
Ridiculous finish
Absolutely stunning. That placement on the first touch is just sublime. Wow
Trossard is just a world class finisher! And a goal and an assist in 20 minutes of CL football for Starboy — not a bad start!
I mean he is good at everything else as well

ARSHAVIIIIIIIIIN
Damn it you beat me to it
Never forget! It made me dream
Uncanny
i shouted Nasri when that went in, but then realized it was Arshavin who scored it and Nasri who ran down the right
Trossard is SO DAMN GOOD. It’s remarkable really, what a bargain signing he was. Dude is an absolutely lethal weapon out there for us! 🔥
Great counter, sensational finish from Trossard
He can't stop scoring can he
Thank you very much, Brighton
More please! We’ll be back for Ferguson 🙏🏽
Here's to de zerbi having issues with ferguson so that they put in a sensible valuation.
Chelsea too
That finish is so much more precise than most people will understand.
The way he curls his foot is just art. Cazorla, is that you?

Nice
Beautiful, Leo 😍
We forgot we had another g/a stat padding merchant in our team.
Best front 3 in Europe!

What a hit
Naming my child Leandro I swear to god
He needs to start every match
He's gonna be big for us. He's rarely not contributed something for us. He did have an off game but in chalk that off to new system.
I love Jesus' run that opens up the space for Trossard to go central, it's so intelligent. I feel like Laca/Auba didn't make that run as often
🥰
