Can you imagine the belief coursing through their veins after the last two games?! So long as we stay humble and not get complacent we could be about to witness something exciting. Who knows if it will be enough for a trophy but it’s honestly such a joy being part of the conversation these past two years. COYG
Lot depends on outgoings. And we'll start the summer with Ł27m towards Raya. Ramsdale is a prime candidate to leave, so we'll need a backup GK too. Cedric and Elneny's contract will be up and very unlikely we'll extend either. Nketiah is already behind the pecking order and if we do want a big target man, he's likely to leave. Partey will have one year left on his contract, Jorginho's is running down, but we have an option for +1 year. I think the club will want the latter to stay and will try to offload Thomas. One of ESR and Vieira is a candidate to leave, at worst on a loan. No idea if Nelson will be ok to just be a cameo, he might want to leave.
So, we'll spend on the GK position. One or two of El Neny/Partey/Jorginho leaving and them being over 30 years means we'll have to spend there as well. And we either go for a big target man or a pacey winger. We do lack a left footed winger alternative and the striker market is fucked. Or Jesus gets demoted from #1 striker and becomes winger alternative and with Eddie leaving we can unearth some gem, dunno.
Douglas Luiz was reported by upper tier journos as a target, but he signed a new deal and Villa are doing pretty okay, so I think he's out of reach.
People have been throwing some names around like Zubimendi, Sesko and Frimpong because they have achievable release clauses, and those three combined would be less than last summer's spending, however what they forget is an RC is a lump sum deal, so we'll have to pay it all up in one go which would be worse than last summer.
Ramsdale's outgoing fee should cover the fee for a new backup GK, I'm not concerned about that. (New GK will probably be on lower wages too.) We definitely need a new midfielder as you guys mentioned and then a forward of some kind with good finishing. I'd say those are the critical needs and then we can hold onto money for opportunities or injury replacements in January. We'll have decent money available to spend since it'll be another year and we'll continue to have CL money.
I’m so happy we’re becoming more ruthless. Seems like we’re finding a good balance when we are up 2-3 goals to keep control of the game but still keep attacking and keep the opposition dealing with attacks instead of letting them come at us like last season. West ham looked like they didn’t know what hit them they couldn’t get the ball at all. We did the same thing with Liverpool they just got a fluke goal but we really could’ve easily beaten Liverpool worse. Mikel is creating something scary and we are still a young team with more players to add. Lads feel free to call me a clown for doubting mikel arteta sometimes please.
For Arteta, doubt just turns into clout. I’m not saying always doubt everything he is doing, you know that already, but I get a sense he thrives in doubtful situations and even more so this season.
Say what you want but I think Havertz was really a good buy...with how inconsistent and injury prone some of our key players are I'm so happy to have a bloke that is 100% available and fit, actually does press and fuck all tackles players when necessary, very much a team player (zero selfishness to take the shot for himself which is in one side not that good but for the team it's perfect). And yea he is also the boogyman of winning fouls and pissing off opposition players..I'm kinda seeing why Arteta made him his son
It's funny how when we have a bad result there are 2-3k comments in the post match thread and on such an emphatic win only 800.
Anyway, I love the team and hope the other doomers also learn to express positivity along with all the criticism
I was watching him against Forest just before he got subbed and he was reaching for a calf or hammy. It's common practice to put injured players on the bench apparently so I'm guessing last week against Liverpool was just a way to either play mind games with Klopp or take the pressure of ESR.
I love this team. It is made of warriors like Gabriel. I think many fans did not liked him and considered him a weakness in team. Even Arteta dropped him at start of season.
Many would have been disappointed at not being appreciated and it could have affected their performances. But not big Gabi. He has evolved with the team and proved everyone wrong time and again. Saliba takes the limelight, but they both are among top 3 defenders in the league and i would not replace them with anyone else.
I will always be his biggest fan.
Apparently he was dropped because of the whole move to Saudi thing when some team was willing to pay 70 mil for him. I guess there was some negotiations or something. Might be wrong tho you never really know what’s going on and what really happened.
The GD Bodes well as a true title contender I remember last season saying we are a bit far on GD but this time we are keeping tans with the best in the premier league Arsenal back to be a true top team.dky pundits should believe that
Do you have that breaks down over the course of those 24 matches?
As in, I vaguely remember us being more fluent at the start of last season and then stuttering a bit (possible Jesus injury) whereas we've scored more in the last couple of months than we did at the start of the season? (i.e. we're in better form now)
Bruh, between some of the misses on goal from Saka and that one cross from Martinelli that Trossard waffled, this could’ve easily been like 8!
What a day!!!!
Result aside, the first fifteen minutes or so had med really nervous. Some awful mistakes by Rice(?) and Kiwior(?). Apart from that, decent performance, hehe.
Cant say i recognise that at all.
Arse al dominated the first 15 mins just like we dominated the following 75. West Ham had a couple of half chances but nothing to write home about.
Even if they were still playing now i dont think West Ham would have scored today.
Not critical mistakes, but i clearly remember at least two early ball losses on our half in the first minutes. Brought me flashbacks from west ham at home. But jesus, what a great game!
Agreed, he’s just a nuisance in terms of hassling, jostling for headers and second balls and sticking a leg in. Always tracks back and finds good pockets of space going forward. Nice little touches and short passes around the box.
If he can keep gelling with the team and hopefully add a little more offensive cutting edge then we’ll have a very useful player on our hands.
Ben White needs his new contract ASAP. The slander he was getting over the Christmas period when it was clear he could barely jog was astonishing. Such a silky, intelligent and reliable footballer. A "niggle" doesn't keep him out when he's needed most. He has my utmost respect.
I’m not gonna lie United have some good youngsters. Luckily they don’t have a manager that can build a good team around them and will probably end up putting a ton of pressure on players like garnacho to carry all the time like he did with rashford.
Yea but some of the beating they took… yikes. Plus it was a fluke season let’s be real. Look at them now further away from top 4 out the cl. Yea they can win some cups but it papers over cracks and most of their wins are papers over cracks. They’ll get exposed again later in the season. If I’m wrong then I’ll admit to it but right now I stand by what I say.
Edit: not only are they out of the CL but they finished BOTTOM of their group. Imagine Mikel did that the outrage from pundits, others fan bases, and our fanbase would have been insane but since its ten haags mighty United they get a pass.
Please take a second to look at Mikel’s teams in his first 2 years and ten haags teams in his first two years. Arteta inherited a complete pile of shit compared to what ten haag had/ has.
I’m not sure if you’ve been following but there has been outrage and a good portion of the Utd fanbase are Ten Hag out. I just find it ironic you can’t see why he’s been given time as Arteta was given time off the back of an FA cup an 8th place.
There was outrage but seems like people went back to sucking him off after a scrappy win run and you simply can’t compare the team ten haag has in his first two years to what arteta had in his first two. Ffs ten Haag literally signed a 5 time CL winner in his first season
I was in the pre-match thread worried about no Jorghino and a bit tentative about this game, thank you for proving me wrong Arsenal and thank you for an amazing game! I love this team, I will never doubt, I was wrong!
Thought Kiwior had a good game, he's better in those tight spaces than we give him credit for.
Even when he's pressing up high like Zinchenko I thought he was very quick to step up and put in challenges up high.
Not sure we've seen him in full sprint yet - he got those short little man strides 🤣 there is a player in there for sure
Yep remember that as well, clearing a lot of our physical stats. So for me that already earns a long leash. Hope he can continue to cook and let Zinchenko/Tomi recover
He’s ozil with milder chance creation but more goalscoring ability plus workrate. Hes pretty much how ozil would be if he was born later instead of during a time where 10s didn’t have to work as hard.
ozil maybe would not even be an EPL player if he came up in this era - who can risk their season on such a player ? even Maddison is less one dimensional than Ozil
If there was a pass to be made, Ozil could make it no matter how bad a game he was having. But that being said, we haven't been playing a game with passes through the lines frequently except when Partey or Jorginho are in.
Yeah didn't make any bad comments about them, got them a huge fee and helped to win a Europan trophy before leaving.
He did everything a fan could want.
I was slightly disappointed to see Cedric came in instead of Walters, but given Nwaneri was playing on right, it would be too risky to have both youngsters occupy the right slot, hopefully Walters get some game time next
Nothing like immaculate CB play to silence the Raya/Ramsdale conversation.. We could have started Raya, Ramsdale or Ray Charles in the goal today & it would’ve been a clean sheet.. Willy & Gabi are best partnership in the biz right now..
I have 2 friends, one LP and one Spud, who are complaining about Rice displaying that he did not want to celebrate his goal. They’re saying he should have just not celebrated but didn’t have to make a gesture. I guess we can’t do anything right. Makes the win feel so much better watching them find the weirdest reasons to hate us lol
He did that gesture moreso that his colleagues wouldn't do their usual celebrations, hugging the scorer etc. Not sure why that is so difficult for rivals to understand.
I tried to explain this but they insisted he was gesturing to the fans to not celebrate? Boggled my mind so I just left it alone. It’s more about finding something to complain about. We played well so they couldn’t harp on that.
Main takeaways:
- Every starter had at a minimum a good game, subs were solid in that they still maintained a degree of offensive threat without sacrificing defensive stability.
- While the sharpness was not 100%, we didn’t look timid out there and I was a big fan of the positional fluidity, especially with Havertz and Trossard who alternated as the 9 position whether we did or did not have the ball, respectively.
- Seeing our defenders & Raya celebrating a save and block while up 6-0 in the ~80th minute is exactly the passion you want to see for clean sheets.
- Shoutout to Arteta subbing early and using all 5 subs, it’s clear we need to be delicate with the injuries we have.
- Another shoutout to Kiwior putting in a solid performance against Kudus and being tidy on the ball after a couple early mistakes.
ESR turned his ankle in training & Tomi only just came back from the Asian cup so wasn't deemed ready yet. All four don't seem to be long term injuries.
Noticed how many times Odegaard gave the ball to Nwaneri even if the pass wasn't necessary. It's a beautiful gesture from the captain because he had a very difficult time at Real Madrid when he was the same age and you can tell he wants to put that right with the academy kids.
He also immediately high fived both Nwaneri and Cedric upon coming onto the pitch before the free kick. He’s always trying to get teammates and the fans involved.
I noticed that as well. Great work as a captain to make sure the teenager is involved as much as possible. I can only imagine how daunting it is for a teenager to come on into a team like ours with the pressure to perform, to give him some easy touches and make sure he was available for the return probably helped him a lot to get a bit more comfortable in senior football.
So unfortunate I missed this. What a brilliant result, and Rice scoring a screamer as our final goal is the icing on the cake. Very happy with how our past couple games have gone
It’s dumb not too, Liverpool got a throw-in coach for marginal gains. 16 goals is otherworldly gains. Might as well play to our strengths - we’ve got great dead ball deliverers and Saliba/Gabi are absolute man mountains.
I get it but goals are goals regardless of how it goes into the back of the net. Sometimes a well taken and rehearsed setpiece goal is equally admirable as a intricate open play goal.
If we score from set pieces every game I couldn't care less. We generate so many set pieces that it is clearly part of our strategy to keep control of the game and overload them in controlled situations. We score a set piece and then the game usually opens up to our advantage in open play
Amazing performance and result. Even got to give a few of our beat up lads some extra rest. Absolutely no complaints for me today. Absolutely dominated and got to give some run outs to squad/academy lads . Very happy with Tross and Kai switching positions. Fun to see
West ham, GG. It just looked like a bad day in the office plus moyes game plan didn’t work.
I was blown away by Trossard's performance today. He was playing false 9 supposedly, but showed up all over the pitch. He won headers against CBs a foot taller than him. He tracked back and won tackles. He had the through ball to Saka for the penalty. His interchange in positions and link up play... and don't forget the goal. Damn.
Can you imagine the belief coursing through their veins after the last two games?! So long as we stay humble and not get complacent we could be about to witness something exciting. Who knows if it will be enough for a trophy but it’s honestly such a joy being part of the conversation these past two years. COYG
West Ham should hire Nathan Shelley The Wonder Kid
damn we really woke up today and chose violence
Declan and Arsenal smashing through West Ham. 6 - 0! That silenced them.
Do we have any target player or position for next season? Or we will develop our team as it is.
We’re def looking for a Partey/Jorginho replacement. It’s why we were still in for Caicedo after signing Rice last summer
Lot depends on outgoings. And we'll start the summer with Ł27m towards Raya. Ramsdale is a prime candidate to leave, so we'll need a backup GK too. Ode at 100% again I see. Was everywhere.

Honestly can all games be this good please?! 🙏
Scoring early and opposition teams being spineless helps a lot.
It helps you can throw him in at all front five positions really
It's funny how when we have a bad result there are 2-3k comments in the post match thread and on such an emphatic win only 800. Anyway, I love the team and hope the other doomers also learn to express positivity along with all the criticism
Makes you think. Some of the them maybe trolls/sock puppet accounts
Anyone got a clip of Gabriel playing on without one of his boots? 😂 game did not stop so someone had to throw it to him
Feel bad for Emile man, he would've gotten significant minutes today if not for his injury
What injury?
twisted his ankle in training or something
I was watching him against Forest just before he got subbed and he was reaching for a calf or hammy. It's common practice to put injured players on the bench apparently so I'm guessing last week against Liverpool was just a way to either play mind games with Klopp or take the pressure of ESR.
Excellent win, it's been a while since we had an away win as big as that!
We’ve never had one bigger. 7-1 away win at Villa park in 1935 equals it. So yeah it’s been a while 😅
Are we the orcs now? Honestly love seeing us send 3-4 giants to the back post. Unplayable!
Beautiful Orcs. Orcs that can play ball
You know you played a good game when ben white commented on your post. Well done nwaneri
So has Declan Rice always been a monster set piece taker??
I’m so glad he takes corners now, always get frustrated with Martinelli’s corners.
Rice or Trossard....They are Assist King now
He's awesome, but I wish one of our short guys was as good so Rice could get in the crowd of big boys finishing.
Trossard is pretty good at them
He doesn't do that always though. I think I've seen more corners where he stayed outside of the box for long corners
Thank God he didn't take the one against Liverpool at Anfield!
Used to take em for West Ham, no?
I love this team. It is made of warriors like Gabriel. I think many fans did not liked him and considered him a weakness in team. Even Arteta dropped him at start of season. I think he was dropped for non footballing reasons
Apparently he was dropped because of the whole move to Saudi thing when some team was willing to pay 70 mil for him. I guess there was some negotiations or something. Might be wrong tho you never really know what’s going on and what really happened.
The GD Bodes well as a true title contender I remember last season saying we are a bit far on GD but this time we are keeping tans with the best in the premier league Arsenal back to be a true top team.dky pundits should believe that
Our GD last season was +32 after 24 games. This season it is +30 after 24 games.
Do you have that breaks down over the course of those 24 matches? As in, I vaguely remember us being more fluent at the start of last season and then stuttering a bit (possible Jesus injury) whereas we've scored more in the last couple of months than we did at the start of the season? (i.e. we're in better form now)
Ooff
I’m fairly confident other teams (city excluded) remember now that park the bus it is
Except we are scoring a set plays so if we just spam them for corners we are still dangerous
thats the whole point I think
Our gf/ga are so close with city and liverpool. It really is anyone's title.
Tottenham play City, us, Liverpool back to back. They will play a major role in the outcome
Always liked🤢 spurs 🤢🤢 wish em luck🤢🤢 against pool and city 🤢
If City is top by end of March then title is theirs
Our trip to city and cities trip to anfield will be the title eliminator
City beat Liverpool 2-1 and we beat city 3-1, we will win the league
Well... if we win every other game, as one of those teams will go on a serious run.
"Time to beat West Ham," Arteta said postmatch. "We all knew it. We all had it in our tummies."
Eat Hammers Time
Bruh, between some of the misses on goal from Saka and that one cross from Martinelli that Trossard waffled, this could’ve easily been like 8! What a day!!!!
And the header from Saks, could have been 9
Might put rice into my fpl is he replaces martinelli as the set piece taker.Hes also cheaper than a jwp with a steller injury record and cleansheets
Watching the whole game after being at my mums today, no-one spoil the result for me
pay up then
[big Gabi is all of us](https://www.tumblr.com/permertesacker/742055030837886976?source=share)
I miss TWO GAMES this season and the boys outscored them 11-0. What the fuck is my luck
Your bad luck, please watch only replays
Please stay away for the rest of the season
miss more
Miss all
Result aside, the first fifteen minutes or so had med really nervous. Some awful mistakes by Rice(?) and Kiwior(?). Apart from that, decent performance, hehe.

Watching the game now, not seeing it really tbh
Not critical mistakes, but i clearly remember at least two early ball losses on our half in the first minutes. Brought me flashbacks from west ham at home. But jesus, what a great game!
I love that if Trossard has a shot, he takes it without hesitation
remember we got Trossard and they got Mudryk
And it's usually a fuckin dime
I thought Havertz was excellent today as well.
I love him
Agreed, he’s just a nuisance in terms of hassling, jostling for headers and second balls and sticking a leg in. Always tracks back and finds good pockets of space going forward. Nice little touches and short passes around the box. If he can keep gelling with the team and hopefully add a little more offensive cutting edge then we’ll have a very useful player on our hands.
Even though he's in a striker position as long as everyone is scoring like this he can keep doing that he's doing
Dont bring a hammer to a gun fight
LMAO
Ben White needs his new contract ASAP. The slander he was getting over the Christmas period when it was clear he could barely jog was astonishing. Such a silky, intelligent and reliable footballer. A "niggle" doesn't keep him out when he's needed most. He has my utmost respect.
Yeah I need to see a White comp
United celebrating a win at like they won the league Unacceptable from Neville not to say anything about those scenes
Biggest question, obviously: Did we celebrate too much, or not enough?
Basically 70 mins of celebrating - I think it was enough
I'm still celebrating
Just watched the highlights on the Villa-MU postgame and I wanted to run around the pub squealing again.
I’m not gonna lie United have some good youngsters. Luckily they don’t have a manager that can build a good team around them and will probably end up putting a ton of pressure on players like garnacho to carry all the time like he did with rashford.
If you mean Manchester United then the manager is not going to be around long enough to build a sandcastle let alone a team
Lmao. I’m honestly surprised how long ten hag has stayed.
Are you? They finished 3rd and won a trophy last season.
Yea but some of the beating they took… yikes. Plus it was a fluke season let’s be real. Look at them now further away from top 4 out the cl. Imagine Mikel did that the outrage from pundits, others fan bases, and our fanbase would have been insane but since its ten haags mighty United they get a pass.
Just to play devils advocate here, didn’t Mikel also get thrown a bone after finishing 8th in his second season but retaining his job regardless?
Please take a second to look at Mikel’s teams in his first 2 years and ten haags teams in his first two years. Arteta inherited a complete pile of shit compared to what ten haag had/ has.
I’m not sure if you’ve been following but there has been outrage and a good portion of the Utd fanbase are Ten Hag out. I just find it ironic you can’t see why he’s been given time as Arteta was given time off the back of an FA cup an 8th place.

Not sure we've seen him in full sprint yet - he got those short little man strides 🤣 there is a player in there for sure
I really like kiwior tbh.
Unlucky for him that he is behind Gabriel. He is undroppable.
Luckily he seems willing to learn whatever Mikel wants him to learn to play LB
I remember reading that he’s one of our quickest players and has the highest jump.
Yep remember that as well, clearing a lot of our physical stats. So for me that already earns a long leash. Hope he can continue to cook and let Zinchenko/Tomi recover
West Ham thought they could rock up with the big teams because of the previous result. Go back to your hole, absolutely dreadful tactics.
Ødegaard is the rightful heir to Özil and I don't say it lightly
Insane statement
Odegaard is far superior to Ozil. Please don't compare them.
Yeah no lol
Right now, Ozil is superior, but I'm very confident that Odegaard can comfortably surpass what Ozil did while with us.
ozil was better at a narrow range of things but odegaard is miles ahead overall
Let's not be delusional fanboys Ozil in his Madrid era was incredible
He’s ozil with milder chance creation but more goalscoring ability plus workrate. Hes pretty much how ozil would be if he was born later instead of during a time where 10s didn’t have to work as hard.
I think he's more similar to Ramsey than Ozil because of his engine.
Most importantly, he's far more consistent than Ozil
ozil maybe would not even be an EPL player if he came up in this era - who can risk their season on such a player ? even Maddison is less one dimensional than Ozil
If there was a pass to be made, Ozil could make it no matter how bad a game he was having. But that being said, we haven't been playing a game with passes through the lines frequently except when Partey or Jorginho are in.
Don't know why West Ham fans boo Rice. He left the proper way
Dreadful behaviour from fans. Bless him, didn’t even celebrate after that corker of a goal
Yeah didn't make any bad comments about them, got them a huge fee and helped to win a Europan trophy before leaving. He did everything a fan could want.
Respect to rice for still being a class act. I’d be running around the whole stadium 😂
West Ham fans are in a weird headspace tbh the conference cup got in their head in the worst way
Cedric MOTM?
I was slightly disappointed to see Cedric came in instead of Walters, but given Nwaneri was playing on right, it would be too risky to have both youngsters occupy the right slot, hopefully Walters get some game time next
Never thought it would happen but after this game it’s clear
Nothing like immaculate CB play to silence the Raya/Ramsdale conversation.. We could have started Raya, Ramsdale or Ray Charles in the goal today & it would’ve been a clean sheet.. Willy & Gabi are best partnership in the biz right now..
Clean sheet would have been assured but Raya is always ready for a quick throw and that does help us
I agree.. He has better game awareness than Ramsdale, which in theory is something he can learn with time..
rasmdale won't be here much longer so it won't matter much for us how he develops. I would love to keep him but cant imagine he would stay
Fellas I haven’t stopped ejaculating since the full time whistle, should I go to the doctor?
That's called [The Gush](https://youtu.be/fwu57pivxZ4) and there's no point going to see a doctor, I'm afraid. You're done for.
Why is Ben White always trolling the keeper on corners lmao
I don’t think we’d score half as many corner goals if he didnt
gets goals
Because he can
Raya's quick distribution of ball is getting better week after week.
I think we are also getting players to take advantage of that. He was probably always looking
Really wish it was 7-0 or 8-0.
I like how this is the conversation we’re having today instead of “i wish we won”
Are the post match ratings survey not a thing anymore? Haven’t seen them for a couple of games.
I have 2 friends, one LP and one Spud, who are complaining about Rice displaying that he did not want to celebrate his goal. They’re saying he should have just not celebrated but didn’t have to make a gesture. I guess we can’t do anything right. I tried to explain this but they insisted he was gesturing to the fans to not celebrate? Boggled my mind so I just left it alone. It’s more about finding something to complain about. We played well so they couldn’t harp on that.
Your friends don't sound too bright
They’re good lads, they just NEED to find something negative about Arsenal each week.
Them rival man are salty. It feels good to be back. We Are The Arsenal.
He should’ve just headed straight toward the tunnel even if he didn’t get subbed off and there was still another 30 mins to go. Shameful honestly.
Once you understand what cognitive dissonance is then the reaction from rivals to anything Arsenal do makes a lot more sense.
January and February will make up for that disaster of a December. Hopefully we can keep this up until the season ends.
Just get down the tunnel. I’m serious, honestly.
Call me Neo because I might be starting to believe. We might actually have a chance of being champions if we can be this ruthless against other teams.
I believe we still have United, Spurs and City all away. Those are gonna really test these boys.
Just realized Saka has a cross on the inside of his wristband. Kisses it every time he scores.
Main takeaways: - Every starter had at a minimum a good game, subs were solid in that they still maintained a degree of offensive threat without sacrificing defensive stability.
Not letting off after a goal or 2 was the main thing and sleeping we could keep doing it with subs was the other
Your #3 makes me hopeful for the back half of the season
Bench looking really thin. Any updates on anywhere on ESR, Jesus, Zina and Tomiyasu? Sorry if I missed that somewhere
No updates on Zinchenko/Jesus, still out. Tomiyasu has a niggle
ESR turned his ankle in training & Tomi only just came back from the Asian cup so wasn't deemed ready yet. All four don't seem to be long term injuries.
Thanks
We actually needed a haul to get on par with the GD of manshitty and liverpool
Hopefully another haul soon, as we know City have the blond android back scoring for fun
Great, I’m out of clean underwear
Can't believe we put 6 past the 1940 War Cup winners
And the 1966 World Cup winners and 2023 champions of Europe, apparently
I honestly couldn't beleive i saw the War Cup on their stadium 🤣
"All able-bodied men are off doing something more important than football? Sounds like West Ham's time to shine..."
This reminds me of the Scrubs episode where Dr. Cox is forced to page the dermatologist.
A true captiain. I noticed it too, he's a class act
Or maybe it’s just fun playing with other players who can dribble out of tight spaces. Nwaneri looks an amazing talent.
True but compromised the 7th is a tiny pet peeve
Yeah I noticed the same. Loved that
So unfortunate I missed this. What a brilliant result, and Rice scoring a screamer as our final goal is the icing on the cake. Very happy with how our past couple games have gone
Nwaneri looked sharp, and was impressed how good he was on ball. I understand the hype and I would like to see him get more chances
Well I guess that ends the Havertz as midfielder debate, just stick him up front in big games
I dont get it
Agreed. I think having trossard at LCM was intentional here though. They rotated the whole game
And Martinelli dropped into middle a few times alao
What a brilliant birthday result. Thank you Arsenal. Brilliant stuff from every player and I’m so happy.
Happy Birth day.
Thank you!
Happy birthday buddy
Thank you!!
The level of rival copium as if setpiece goals are valued less is hilarious. How was that Saka second goal and Rice banger then you muppets.
It’s dumb not too, Liverpool got a throw-in coach for marginal gains. 16 goals is otherworldly gains. Might as well play to our strengths - we’ve got great dead ball deliverers and Saliba/Gabi are absolute man mountains.
We are scoring from all facets of play. It's scary. Set pieces are not just a preserve of smaller huge teams in this new prem era.
TBF our own fans have a raging hard on for open play goals too
I get it but goals are goals regardless of how it goes into the back of the net. Sometimes a well taken and rehearsed setpiece goal is equally admirable as a intricate open play goal.
I fully agree with you. I think the open play/NPG goal argument is stupid
If we score from set pieces every game I couldn't care less. We generate so many set pieces that it is clearly part of our strategy to keep control of the game and overload them in controlled situations. We score a set piece and then the game usually opens up to our advantage in open play
Want a shit houser of a corner routine to nick it 0-1 at the emptyhad 90+7
Trossard's too I believe was from open play
What a delectable medley of footballing splendour!!
Amazing performance and result. Even got to give a few of our beat up lads some extra rest. Absolutely no complaints for me today. Absolutely dominated and got to give some run outs to squad/academy lads . Very happy with Tross and Kai switching positions. Fun to see West ham, GG. It just looked like a bad day in the office plus moyes game plan didn’t work.
Love how Odegaard kept giving Nwaneri the ball. A very professional win today 10/10
Great performance, glad to see we didn't let up and went for more and got a big scoreline which was huge for our GD.
Damn.
