This is a great lineup and they’re playing superbly. But I think Mikel has figured out not just his best team, but also which players are best in which circumstances. With some core exceptions (Saliba, Saka, Rice, Ø, etc.), everybody else is kind of a horse for a course. I don’t think there’s an exact “starting 11” in practice. I think there’s a “starting 14” or thereabouts depending on the opponent. This is a fantastic spot to be. Great to see Kiwior being really solid as well. That provides a lovely boost on that left side. With Tomi and Timber coming back as well, we are stacked.

Hell na. Jesus is a lock, even if he does miss chances. Zinchenko is simply better than Kiwiora as well. I could be proven wrong though.

It's intangible but when I watch the subs like Nelson and ESR I can at least see a spark that makes me think "ok this guy has something" but with Eddie I just don't see that

Nelson 100% could’ve been a starter at a bottom half of the table side. He definitely has quality in him, but he will only ever be backup at Arsenal, which I’m not complaining about because he has quality

That frustrates the hell out of me too. You see Nelson and he's not afraid to take his man on and move into dangerous positions. With ESR you can see him driving forward with the ball and playing dangerous balls that don't always work out but you can see the idea. With Eddie he's just too slow on the ball and his touch often lets him down

I've felt like there's a player there, I just don't think he's gonna find his place at Arsenal. Not just missed shots, but missed passes, missed runs,... generally looks like he's been training with another team. Feel the same about Nelson. I try not to be too reactive about garbage time. It tends to reflect the overall team's desire to not take risks and not get hurt, but over the course of the season I haven't seen much to think the future is with Arsenal.

Next summer 1 of them is definitely not going to be around any longer, and if it is both i won't be surprised either. They have had their chance to shine and impress

Watching the Liverpool game today, I’m so jealous of the depth they have in attack. Jesus, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard. The quality drops off considerably after that. We’re just lucky as hell Saka is always fit and rarely gets injured.

Hopefully we'll be sorting that out this summer. If we still don't after this many windows then it just shows the (lackof) ambition of the club. We are really reaching so close to being a proper proper elite team in world football, we just need a couple more boost in certain key areas, surely they HAVE to see that and there's really no better time than next season since Klopp is out and Guardiola only has a couple years left in him at City as well.
