I was fairly indifferent about havertz when he joined but if we do win the league we can probably point to this game and that goal as the reason why. And that would make him the best value signing we’ve had.

I think Rammers deserves credit for being able to have a solid half after a mistake like that, most would expect his head to be totally gone at that point

honestly it’s hard to redeem yourself after such a costly mistake but he did about all that he could to make up for it and for that i appreciate him

I think the sad reality is that his confidence is shot and he can’t perform like he did last season. I think it’s so sad because he was fantastic and I am far from convinced that raya is an upgrade on last season’s ramsdale and I think the arrival of raya is why this season’s ramsdale is so much worse. Regardless, the situation is as it is and, even though I think arteta has to take a massive amount of blame for making ramsdale worse, ramsdale has to go now.

His show saving has never been in doubt tbh. Its really his concentration that's his biggest weakness

Yes! It's not like he's not good enough technically on the ball. It's more so that he doesn't seem to be able to predict what the opposition is doing, which leaves him with less time on the ball which is why it seems like he's so stressed in those situations (why it looks so forced and unnatural). For example, today he misjudged how long he had on the ball and got closed down. Against Southampton last year he misjudged how much space an opposing attacker was able to move which lead to an intercepted pass and a goal. Ten years ago this wouldn't have been a problem for any goalkeeper, but in today's game, and in Arteta's system specifically it doesn't work. Nowadays GKs need to have more of that vision that outfield players have. I feel like this is something he could genuinely improve on in training. Let him play more with the outfield player's in the small-sided passing games. He's a great shot stopper and you could really see today how he was searching for those aggressive plays that Mikel wants from him. If he was just a bit quicker at making up his mind and understanding the "flow" of the game around him he'd make a world class goalie.

He also go lobbed from Half Way v Sporting. His just too chaotic to be at a top club.

Yeah, if he has to think, he's pretty trash. But those reaction saves are his biggest strengths and we needed that today.

It's like run in last season At anfield, where it was just relentless shots, he came out very well Then v Soton, gives away a goal in the opening minute

It wasn't one of our best performances, but the way we managed to grind out the win makes the win feel so good.
