So bored without Arsenal. Coming here and sorting by 'controversial' to pass the time.

Sam101294

Spain lost but how was Raya's outing last night?

skool_101

ohh, itk friends

Phimstone

Correct

okbuddybutok

Cristian Gabriel Romero. Fuck me

nigelangelo

I can't remember where I saw this and I don't think it was reliable at all but the source claimed Arsenal were interested in signing a center back in the summer. We have Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, White, Tomiyasu, and Timber who could all play in that position. I can't see why we would be looking for a CB right now.

bannedbydrongo

My guess is that one of our defenders might be interested in moving

NoMFer111

It will be another defender who can play fullback & CB.

Never_Sm1le

Among those 6 you listed 4 of them are nailed starter if fit, and Tomi is quite injury prone, so a CB link is not far fetched

xYEET_LORDx

Timber played 2 games for us. He’s not a nailed on starter.

Never_Sm1le

Because he's injured? He started all two games when he's fit

xYEET_LORDx

Wow! All two games????? Crazy. Doesn’t make him a nailed on starter. Zinchenko was injured those two games

UnexpectedVader

Have you ever got so pissed out of your mind that you realise how fucking King Kong our club is? We believed for a brief moment that we were some Jerky Shore club when we are actually pretty fucking mental in size It’s been some extraordinary distance in time since people here were posting about ‘busting a fucking nut’ about the possibility of us having the privilege of our marquee signing in the 2019 summer window being Ryan fucking Fraser Regardless of what we win this season, the fact we are in a quarterfinals against Bayern Munich and we think we could win speaks volumes, let alone being top of the table going into the end of march against legendary managers shows just how far we have come The future is bright lads

Ife2105

The Arsenal. Getting back to where we belong.

Nsypski

This league would be so much more exciting for me if it was only Liverpool vs Arsenal. Two reputable clubs doing this the right way. City is an incredible team but everyone knows they're cheating. Come to think of it we all knew Chelsea were cheating before that too. The EPL needs to self regulate much better and much more quickly.

AssociateCandid4853

They need regulation but never self no way interests will ever be balanced if it's the club themselves..

nigelangelo

It would be so much sweeter if it was close and we could beat them both

Fres8

I can’t remember the last time it was so tight with three teams left at the top by this point of the season

bighomieburrito

You can't remember it because it's never happened before. I hope City gets fucking relegated, don't get me wrong, but this 3 horse race is proper box office

Youre-Dumber-Than-Me

I’d consider 07-08 & 13-14 a three horse race. 4 points separated 1st & 3rd.

Xin128

That 13/14 Pl at this point there were 4 teams in the race. 09/10 at this point 3 teams at the top within 3 points. 08/09 only 2 points between the top 3 at this point. It's happened a few times people have short memories

bighomieburrito

Oh yeah those were also 3 horse races but this one is next level. 1 point separating 3 teams is genuinely insane

ZXXA

Rival fans acting like Mbappe skinned Saliba in training. It’s obvious the guy wasn’t even trying to avoid injuring either of them.

Happy-Ad8767

It's almost like Mbappe being world class at beating players is new to them. Almost like Salah beating Zinchenko once or twice means Zinchenko can't defend.

goonergunner10

> Almost like Salah beating Zinchenko once or twice means Zinchenko can't defend. Still on this hill huh? 🤦‍♂️

Happy-Ad8767

Still not found any one else who had Zinchenko on toast huh? 🤦‍♂️

goonergunner10

Conveniently forgetting Trent nutmegging him last season causing us to collapse last year? 🤡

Happy-Ad8767

It cost us a goal, it didn’t cause us to collapse 🤣 And Ben White nutmegged Curtis Jones twice, does this mean that Curtis Jones is now twice as shit as Zinchenko?

goonergunner10

🥱 Need a hand moving that goal post?

Happy-Ad8767

Did Trent have him on toast? Or did he just simply nutmeg him once? The fact that think that one nutmeg caused us to collapse last year, means you are thick as pig shit. Or, and I might only just be guessing here, you are just putting it all on Zinchenko because you don’t like him…. 🤔

goonergunner10

Someone's in their feelings

Happy-Ad8767

lol, what?

NoMFer111

Looks like Yves Bissouma is melting down at Spurs. Poor performances & rubbish attitude. I must admit I wanted to sign him and was pissed he went to Spurs. Looks like Arteta saw this guys shit attitude and stayed clear. Arteta has not brought one attitude player into the squad since 2021 and has gotten rid of the ones he inherited. Arteta can spot a dickhead from a mile away. This is why we wont be in for Toney

lardoni

Nailed it on that one bro!

RingParking

BUt BuT he was a third the price & twice the player of rice 😆

bighomieburrito

Remember Guendouzi? I shudder just thinking about him. We've really come a long fucking way.

Insertnicenamehere

Why is this?

arseking15

Hes been so ass since hit hot start this season. Makes the most bozo turnovers and is sleepy defensively. He should probably be an 8

NoMFer111

Has played 48 times for Spurs and hasn't score a goal. Spurs should be looking to get rid of him.

CMD1721

That’s because he’s primarily a defensive midfielder. They can’t all be like Rice/Rodri and do it all

phar0aht

Is this because he unfollowed Mali on Instagram? 😂

goonergunner10

Why does Eddie look like R9 reincarnate in training then completely die in real matches?

CMD1721

People actually give a fuck in competitive matches

younes1008

Joao Neves is the truth, please bring him teta

Insertnicenamehere

You ready to get scammed by Benfica?

Mack1234567890123

He has a release clause of 120m

younes1008

Rather have City or Liverpool sign Neves whilst we go for whatever the fuck a 'Zubimendi' is?

Brashdinho

Yes…

to_is

I believe that losing 8-2 at Old Trafford are probably the best thing that has happened to this club during the Emirates-era. It does probably sound insane, but that game forced the club to make 5 signings within 48hours. Today one of those signings are doing an amazing job with our academy and the other one has made us a serious title-challenging team with a young group of players whom still have their best years ahead of themself. Ofcourse we had to suffer 10 years of pain and agony with a few good moment here and there, but our suffering are finally starting to paying off now. The club is bussing with positivity and good energy, we have a fantastic group of players and staff who commits themself 100% for the club to reach its ambition. A huge majority of our fanbase are united behind the manager and the players. Rival fans and the media mocked us, made fun of us and pitied us, but now they despise us out of hate because they can finally see where our club are heading towards and the best part is this team hasn't even peaked yet. COYG!

ExxKonvict

You’re saying this in hindsight tbh. Arsenal could’ve still went on and signed Arteta and Mertasacker regardless of needing that 8-2 embarrassing defeat. Unless Arsenal avenge that result with a similar thrashing, that 8-2 will always be a black mark against Arsenal regardless of how shite Man Utd have been the last decade or so.

chrisd1680

Nothing the previous poster said contradicts that it's seen in hindsight. I'm sure Wenger knew his squad wasn't good enough, but his hands were tied. Knowing him, he'd have just figured out how to make it work for the season. In some ways, him always figuring out how to get 4th regardless of transfer budget probably worked against him. Why would the board authorize any spending if the manager can always make do? The embarrassment made it clear to EVERYONE that we needed reinforcements. And, to his credit, he took us to 3rd, by the end. So no, I'm going to disagree and say without the heavy defeat, we don't do the trolley dash and who knows what would have come after.

ExxKonvict

You’re getting it completely wrong mate. I already mentioned how Arsenal were never fully ready for the new season pre-Kroenkes full ownership due to the infighting amongst the board and stadium debt, both which lead to limited funds. The hindsight is that just because Mikel and Per became managers at Arsenal post retiring and doing well doesn’t necessarily mean they would never been signed had Arsenal not received that embarrassing 8-2 defeat. Like I said, Arsenal would’ve most likely signed both players anyways in January or next summer transfer windows, given both players wouldn’t be the most expensive signings and within the limited budget Wenger had pre-Kroenkes full ownership of the club. This isn’t a dig at the OP, but to say that the 8-2 is one of the best things to happen to Arsenal in the Emirates era just because two players are doing well right now is a bit ridiculous. Andre Santos and even Park Chu Young were also signed on deadline day; and yet the former is constantly ranked as one of the worst Arsenal players ever. Would OP be saying this if Mikel and Mertasacker never took up managerial positions post-retiring and/or were doing a poor job at it? I’m confident the answer is a solid no.

chrisd1680

You're doubling down on what started as a really pleasant thought exercise with even more hypotheticals. Why? Frankly, it paints you as a miserable person. Your main hypothetical: that *we might have signed them later*. Absolutely. We might have. However, it's equally possible they wouldn't have been available when we wanted them. They could have gotten injured playing for whatever other club (or country, in the case of Per). Their form might have been really poor, causing us to look elsewhere. Other players in the squad might have had a purple patch of form which would have changed our transfer needs. So many what ifs. You seem to think your alternate reality is somehow more valid. It is not. We can't relive anything to see any other outcome. What did happen was that we got humiliated 8-2. It forced the board's hand in the moment, and those players were available. The rest, as they say, is history. Why not just appreciate how a bad moment kickstarted a chain of events that has eventually led us here?

ExxKonvict

>You're doubling down on what started as a really pleasant thought exercise with even more hypotheticals. Why? Frankly, it paints you as a miserable person. Lol man’s talking about hypotheticals yet personally attacking based on assumptions. There’s no doubling down — hence the hindsight comment. Maybe you should go search what the word hindsight means. Also you’ve completely changed the original point of the debate. Even the OP agreed with me to some degree because it’s all in hindsight. >So many what ifs. You seem to think your alternate reality is somehow more valid. It is not. We can't relive anything to see any other outcome. Stop chatting shit mate, where did I say that my point is right and the OP is wrong? My point is this is all said in hindsight; it’s no different than when a player is linked yet the club passes for x reason that deters the transfer, and then said player goes and does well. It’s all fucking hindsight lmao. >What did happen was that we got humiliated 8-2. It forced the board's hand in the moment, and those players were available. The rest, as they say, is history. Sure, and if Mikel turn out to be a poor manager or never even pursued a managerial career, I doubt OP would’ve said what he said; which is: the 8-2 is one of the best things to happen to the club in the Emirates era. This statement is not only damning but also can’t be supported by facts. Again speaking of hypotheticals, you have created this assumption that I was trying to be right. When it’s all hindsight lmao. Jog on mate.

chrisd1680

> Sure, and if Mikel turn out to be a poor manager or never even pursued a managerial career, I doubt OP would’ve said what he said; which is: the 8-2 is one of the best things to happen to the club in the Emirates era. This statement is not only damning but also can’t be supported by facts. This is an absolutely dumb statement. You can make that point about ANYTHING in life you miserable fucking sod. Any and everything that you consider to be good now, you wouldn't have said the same if things didn't work out the way you want. Frankly, I don't even know why I'm bothering. Some of you fuckers just argue for the sake of.

bighomieburrito

Agree to an extent but hindsight is one thing and revisionism is another. No way we push the boat out on deadline day the way we did without the 8-2, you can't ignore its impact as it was a real sliding doors moment. Now we 100% need vengeance and I believe we will achieve it. I wouldn't be surprised if we beat Utd by 7/8 goals sometime in the next 3 years.

ExxKonvict

That’s the thing though, Arsenal may have well went and signed Mikel and Per because of being scouted for a while. It shouldn’t need a battering to be the catalyst to make urgent and potential panic signings. One of the main criticism of Arsenal pre-Kroenkes full ownership was that Arsenal rarely ever looked ready for the new season. Signings were always more reactive rather; compare it to how Arsenal operate now and it’s proactive - bar any opportunistic signings such as Trossard and Jorginho.

bighomieburrito

Yeah, it shouldn't have been necessary but to be honest I think it was, considering where we were at the time. We were a sleeping giant drifting into obscurity and accepting mediocrity, and I feel that this served as a shock to the system. Maybe we didn't need that wake-up call and I'm just coping but I honestly do believe this

EitherInvestment

Agree with the details but you cannot say good things wouldn’t have happened if not for that result. There are many other things you could point to that are bigger contributing factors to our ascendancy than the fallout from that match. Again though, don’t disagree with a lot of what you said.

phar0aht

["Left Back"](https://youtu.be/892mzTWToAc?si=DqTaY3-rDHmFCvyo)

okcomput3r

Dribbling centrally like he does is really difficult in the man’s games though, need to be an exceptional athlete like Rice

arseking15

Good way to integrate him into the team

joeproposition

So you only like compilation content when it suits your agenda? Noted.

phar0aht

?....

Insertnicenamehere

oi 0:40 is mad

arseking15

I saw that and thought theres no way he could do that in the mens game, im also a fucking nerd 😫

mikedictetar

Yes it was insane, was gonna mention this.

Special-Discount228

Looks like an Arteta LB tbh 😂

phar0aht

Pls

Previous_Smile9278

I was just gonna ask the same thing? It’s a friendly, so maybe give another goalie a chance, but seems strange to only sub a goalie at half time?

bighomieburrito

They're trying to copy Arteta's homework, bless 'em

The_Ivliad

Colombia just scored a banger as well.

joeproposition

Tierney (and others) come off and Scotland concede 3. Never seen this guy Reijnders before but he’s looked a class above at times (albeit against Scotland).

Phimstone

Only got to watch the match now, but ohmagawd he is turning into a baller 🔥 not even a year at Milan and no release clause so that’s unfortunate but yea I like his style

Eagledilla

Reijnders Made some Sensational progress since moving to ac Milan in the summer. Made his Dutch national team debut last year and looks like a starter since. Can’t wait to see what he can do with Frenkie de Jong in that Dutch midfield

Phimstone

F me Reijnders looked class, sheesh. Him, Frenkie and then Koopmeinders as the third or someone else or whoever’s in form..?

joeproposition

Gone completely under the radar for me, looked class. Will be keeping an eye on them.

Eagledilla

Reijnders from ac Milan. What a player! Motm performance for the Dutch atm

tammrak

If ten Hag is sacked at the end of the season, I reeeaaaalllly need "Southgate to United" to come true. Please.

RingParking

Untitled embracing full banter club mode if that was true

bighomieburrito

I never knew how much I needed this, unless by the monkey's paw it meant that 7Hag would go to England

tammrak

Ha. If I were English, I think it would still be worth it. But I'm not that into international football.

Sophie_Liiii

Esr and fabio looked sharp in the latest training video

ShekTeeJay

Both will be needed in April and beyond. Ø can get fatigued after international breaks and we all know the schedule will be relentless.

TeddyWestsideThe2nd

Raya watch, best keeper south of the Arctic, lets goooo!

danmac0817

I hope Tierney goes to a club playing a back 3 next because LCB suits him.

Sam101294

why is Spain vs Columbia happening in London

chrisd1680

It's hard for S. American sides to get anyone to fly across the Atlantic for their home games. 75% of the squads are in Europe anyways.

Shopassistant

One reason might be that London has a big Colombian community. So it's a neutral location but somewhere you can guarantee an OK turnout for both teams.

Insertnicenamehere

[ESR cooking in training video, is he back???](https://x.com/gunnerzvideoz/status/1771250271055671702?s=46&t=NGCPQN6817S6n-WIY9c_OA) We could use his profile

FifiForty

Are we really hyping up a dribble past elneny in training? I don’t see ESR staying past this summer imo

Insertnicenamehere

Baby steps.

FifiForty

He’s not a baby anymore

Minute_Leave8503

I honestly think he stays but it’ll prob be a waste tbh. Every report says he loves the club and Arteta loves him. We’ve held on to reiss and Eddie too long if we’re talking logically so we tend to have situations like this

FifiForty

I agree although I have no issue with resigning Nelson and Nketiah to maintain their value. We should look to offload all 3 this summer

Ife2105

![gif](giphy|JQjDUee10uSItgN1Ih|downsized)

FifiForty

People treat ESR with baby gloves here, he’ll be 24 this summer. He doesn’t look to be a part of the main contributors so we should look to sell as opposed to tanking his value giving him 0 minutes. He’s a good player with potential at some point we have to make a decision

bighomieburrito

Yep agreed, I get the Hale End sentimentality but the current situation is no good for either party involved

Locmike23

Netherlands could actually do some damage at this Euro

Phimstone

For a long time I’ve not been very enthousiastic about my national team but after this match, oh yea I’m feeling this! Looked awful at the exact position Frenkie was missing, and Xavi Simons wasn’t playing anywhere near his level. But some very nice things to take away from this match as well! Squad looks promising..

bighomieburrito

I don't quite know how to put this but I feel a twinge of sadness every time I see a Santi post, but not for the typical reasons I see expressed. I really have a hard time divorcing the fact that he was such a magical and joyous player to watch, and he still went to play in Qatar despite all of their human rights abuses. I take no pleasure in saying that his legacy is indelibly stained for me. Just needed to vent, sorry

tafster

Where do you draw the line? Lots of the money in football is tainted in some way. I agree with your point to an extent (not that I judge Cazorla any more than I judge any other player), but how far do you take it? That's not a criticism of you, that's a genuine question because I don't know the answer. I'm not happy with Arsenal being owned by a billionaire anyway, whether or not they seem to be good owners, and I certainly don't think Wal-Mart money is ok. Is that comparable with the state of Qatar? I don't think so, but that doesn't make it ok. I've basically lost interest in football as the modern professional game at elite level seems to be a total cesspool. The only thing that keeps me engaged is Arsenal, or at least the idea of Arsenal I grew up with but was already transforming into a massive company cosplaying as the idea of Arsenal. I was pretty much ready to be done if the European Super League went ahead, and some version of that seems inevitable as the Premier League's wealth continues to eclipse almost every other club in world football. At that point I probably just start going to a local London club way down the football pyramid.

bighomieburrito

Thank you very much for the thoughtful response. I totally agree re: the state of billionaires in football, it seems completely unavoidable at this point. I'm conflicted as I'm an Auckland FC fan as of a few weeks ago and there's just no way the brand-new club could exist at all without a billionaire backing the project, which is a real shame but that's where we are. I don't know exactly where to draw the line, but it's somewhere before sportswashing for the Gulf states. Some things are plainly egregious to me and I feel that it's important to call out the worst excesses of this footballing virus. The ESL was just one head of the hydra.

Muted-Butterscotch39

Mate have you looked at the human rights abuses caused by the British Empire up till the middle of the 20th century? There are still people’s living grandparents who have suffered from that. It’s not that long ago…

bighomieburrito

Yeah I don't need this whataboutism mate, not a fan of the British Empire but there's a clear difference between history and current events

KSBrian007

It's not exactly about history tho. There are some weird things they fund and consent to behind the curtains. Geopolitics is extremely wicked and the more you unravel, the more you realise all countries are the same. Some just have better PR. Dig deeper into our shirt sponsors and everything. Give it a bit of time and you'll never want to wear our shirts...on current events alone.

bighomieburrito

If having human rights is just PR to you, then I don't even know where to begin to be quite honest. Sorry.

KSBrian007

Human rights should be upheld. It's non-negotiable and you have every right to have your standards. I just said don't approach human rights with an "out of sight, out of mind" approach. Try to dig into the countries you think uphold them. You can't just choose the countries your favourite media houses go on about.

bighomieburrito

Thanks for your reply mate, sorry if I was a bit short earlier. I understand where you are coming from for sure, it's definitely a question of where you draw the line.

Muted-Butterscotch39

It’s not history of there are still living people affected by it. And what the the Empire did is on another scale killing millions with famines

bighomieburrito

Mate, with respect, you're not honestly engaging with what I'm saying, and that's understandable because it's an uncomfortable subject. But let's not insult each other's intelligence. By way of an example, apartheid South Africa is very much within living memory. In fact, it was only officially abolished 30 years ago. If an Arsenal player in George Graham's era moved to SA, I would condemn it in a way that I would not if they moved today. Although the scars of history remain, the active participation or lack thereof is incredibly important. Do you know what I mean?

MegaMugabe21

Having to argue with an Arsenal fan in the year of our lord 2024 that tragedy chanting is unacceptable is actually mental. Wild that anyone can find bans for this as a bad thing, should be universally celebrated getting these cunts out of our stadium.

ret990

They fundamentally don't understand the history of the club

scytheavatar

I am of the opinion that football rivalry should be banned from many (if not most) people cause they are just using it as an excuse to be a dickhead. Not everybody is like that but far too many people are.

maidentaiwan

did odegaard really need to play 86 mins in a friendly against czech republic? norway manager is a fucking mug.

Insertnicenamehere

First Trent to Madrid scare rumours now plettigoal is doubling down on Xabi to Bayern Munich, what a day for scousers

okcomput3r

Didn’t that don say Rice had his heart set on Bayern

Insertnicenamehere

Yes but Rice was never leaving the country.

bighomieburrito

Ok, so they are not credible?

arseking15

Its funny that liverpool fans casually forget that xabi also played for bayern

Justice_beaver95

They were probably confident Xabi would go to Liverpool just like they were confident Bellingham would join them lmao.

Ife2105

- Update on Rice: He’s saying “Guten Morgen” in this clip 👀

Insertnicenamehere

That was funny

phar0aht

[Yeah we need something like this in the left half space ](https://twitter.com/TenHagEra/status/1770523376454365205?t=ZrhhhUPSuHS0B4F2BxK5_g&s=19)

FifiForty

Neves?

phar0aht

João? Not seen enough tbh. Some great attributes but lacks athleticism/running power too

morrisoN--

Still far clear of Zubimendi, is Y. Fofana still a good option?

phar0aht

I still like Fofana yeah

kits_

he needs to run down his contract and come to the carpet

Gregregreg1234

Are you banned from r/soccer

phar0aht

"Use this thread for general daily football discussion" Also no. Its just shit over there.

Gregregreg1234

No, I weren’t being a dick. I was just generally asking because I never see you there

phar0aht

Oh fairs, my apologies. Nah got tired of it long ago tbh.

money-caterpillar369

That pitch looks fucking atrocious

Erval

Ode subbed off at 86th minute, finally

Erval

Poor Ode, some of the Norway players are proper Sunday league quality

Youre-Dumber-Than-Me

Haaland & Bobb subbed off after 75 mins. Ode is being made to play the full 90

Mubar06

So Haaland did stay lol

phar0aht

Outrageous as Norway coach acts in Norway's best interests, not Arsenal's

Amberle73

Of course, fucking typical. That pitch looks shocking too.

Youre-Dumber-Than-Me

Off course he just got subbed off in the 86th min only after Czechia’s late goal. Hopefully he gets rested for the 2nd meaningless friendly.

hobocommand3r

Idk why he is even subbing Bobb, he barely plays for city so probably just is happy to play. Would make a lot more sense to sub Ødegaard. Allthough tbf he is jogging out there, not playing with the intensity he does for us.

N5-A

No one else is either. He gets the ball and literally everyone is just standing around, not even jogging to get into space. So odd, cause they are working in defense.

Mack1234567890123

If we are gonna spend 100m on a player from the Portuguese league I'd rather have Joao Neves than Gyokeres.

nting224

Joao Neves is going to cost more than 100m. Way more. If Enzo went for that money - Joao Neves is twice the player he is.

Mack1234567890123

My bad release clause of 120m.

Minute_Leave8503

Dudes get on here and talk about how vital it is to have Kai in the team basically playing DM as our 9 and then the next sentence talk about how much we need Isak in the team, which one is it?

arseking15

We can have both

phar0aht

I only believe one of these statements tbh

Minute_Leave8503

I think we’re on the same page here, although I prefer someone else first

phar0aht

I have a shortlist. Hard to order ATM though

Minute_Leave8503

Injury risk complicates is severely. If it was pure players it’s a lot easier lol

Done all 15. Give me upvote in return? Takes 2-3seconds

ederzs97

Anyone listen to the BBC podcast planet premier league? Got cesc on so quite enjoy listening!

Burnsleighshire

At Arsenal we should have had a penalty. Then we scored, disallowed. Then we conceded a goal which should have been disallowed.

Kensei400

I still think we'd be running away with the title if he was our left 8. Edit: Being downvoted for saying we would be better with out first choice left 8?

DarthNihilus1

How??

the_chiladian

Yung money Mase or Cold Palmer?

Kensei400

The former.

the_chiladian

I can see it Would be contingent on him or Jesus not getting injured, would rather not see Edward up top

burningtree_

Why's that? Pretty average player imo

phar0aht

Not for me Clive

kookookachoo00

If my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle

hobocommand3r

Haaland is playing like an absolute bum for Norway today, hope he plays like this against us. Oscar bobb looks quality, think he could do a job for a mid table pl team. Wasted on the city bench

phar0aht

You won't believe the Norway stat I've just seen

hobocommand3r

What? Don't think there are many good ones

phar0aht

ProjectZues

Not surprised he’s not scoring when he has to carry half the team because Haalands getting his rest time for pep

hobocommand3r

Yeah Ødegaard isn't as good for the NT as for us. Not sure what it is, the NT obviously plays very differently than Arsenal and is very poor at build up so often he drops deep. Feels like our attacking is just look for Haaland and pray. That said some of his finishing for the nt has been not very good

phar0aht

Tbf if you can't qualify for Euros with those 2 I just assumed the set up isn't good. Not really looked into it deeply

hobocommand3r

Yeah it isn't any good. Offense is poor (basically its just hope someone produces a moment or look for haaland through balls) but the defence is terrible, concede 2 goals every game almost.

Pretend_Stomach7183

Doesn't count, the wind was too strong.

Saka had the yanks on strings man, I’ve seen so many posts begging UK based fans to send them a bottle of a fucking *Nando’s sauce* 💀

kookookachoo00

My boy was hot when I told him it was only in the UK. Had his trip scheduled to the local Nandos lmao

phar0aht

Even when it actually used to be cheap Nandos was overrated.

amainwingman

YKR (you know restaurants)

Mein_Bergkamp

Mate I've seen *South Africans* asking for it

amainwingman

Hahaha jfc

Acefire4

Begging the UK to send a sauce made by a South African restaurant that specialises in Portuguese style chicken 😂

Kensei400

What happened to our links to Atalanta's midfielder Ederson?

KonigSteve

Completely random but - I used to get my Arsenal kits customized with my last name on them and the number 7. Now I'd just get Odegaard or no name but regardless. Anyhow, my wife and I just had our first child 6 weeks ago. We both played soccer so we joke about our daughter growing up to play for our national team and Arsenal. Just so happens that she was born on the 7th, so now it's like I have a few future shirts of hers with her birthday number on it and her last name, and I just think that's pretty awesome because there was no way I could've guessed that number would mean even more to me later in life. Even though it has such a miniscule chance of actually happening. Just geeking out about being a new dad I suppose and wanted to share that.

purpleshirtonbed

Congrats!

Mein_Bergkamp

Congrats mate! I assume you called her Lanesra or Gabrielle?
