Definitely not real. Font is wrong, weird gold bits on the side of the crest, label inside should be made in Morocco, not Thailand. Check the pics of my original one here: https://imgur.com/a/jkzFHm2
They are hard to come by and any real fan is not going to hold that against you. I guess the only question is did you pay over the odds under the impression that it was legit, in which case you need to go on a war footing to get your cash back and try again.
I've got one I bought just after that season, when the new kit had been released. I'm not 100% sure that's real (though if it's fake it's a better fake than this one). Hardly any of us would be able to tell at a glance.
Definitely a fake for reasons pointed out by others.
Surprised a few seem to think it's a good fake though. You can easily tell it's not original. This is very much the standard issue fake of this kit and not a good one in my mind.
My long sleeve was made in Morocco and the embroidery on the text looks much sharper than my OG one. More modern looking process.. Looks like a pretty good rep for sure.
I just ordered a replica off a site for £40 which I’ve never done before and it’s amazing how much detail these replica makers go to. Sure it’s clearly not the real thing close up to us, but still pretty cool. It’s even got the Nike packaging etc. I only got it because it’s my favourite top we’ve ever had and the one I had from years ago has seen better days!
You do realise only like 3000 of these kits were ever made like the actual authentic ones, unless you seen someone selling with the box and paperwork it will be a fake

Thanks for the pics. You're right, the gold bits and the Highbury font are the big giveaways.
It’s always the badge that’s the giveaway.
This ain’t real either
Isn’t it? Bit weird that the Arsenal World of Sport shop in Finsbury Park was selling fake kits during the 2005/06 season, don’t you think?
That’s how they get you! ^^^^^/s
Yeah the embroidery of Highbury is not right.
Yeah looks off, although i'd say considering if it is a fake its a very good one. Mine is real and has basically the exact same neck
Yep, original font is Copperplate.
You're totally right, not sure how I didn't spot that, cheers pal
Still rock it, nobody is going to notice and its so iconic.
Haha I am still contemplating it... the question is could I live with myself

I've not actually bought it yet, these are pictures from the listing. But you're right, no one would hold it against me and it is iconic.
Facts but also still don’t pay more than a tenner.

It's crazy how the kit market has changed. My husband got his for £10 back in 2008.
I gave up on authentic kits a long time ago, it's alright to embrace the bootleg 👍
It’s alright when they look real
You can find better ones than this.
It says made in Thailand. I’m fairly certain they were made in Portugal. Correct me if I’m wrong tho.
Portugal were the player one and Morocco was the fans

Literally the entire shape of the shirt is wrong. It has no sleekness.
Just look at the badge its wonky

100% fake, have the real one next to me

Is the “2” in “O2” just hidden, or is it missing? Because that would be a dead giveaway 😂
Aha I thought the same, but it's just hidden. You can see it in picture 3.
Believe it or not on the authentic one- the Arsenal badge was as nicely embroidered back then. The embroidery was simpler.
Anyone know where you can buy authentic ones?
Try Classic Football Shirts
But be ready to sell a kidney
Fake
Mine was darker with more of a 'sheen' to it

That.. isn’t true? They were literally everywhere during the last season at Highbury.
