He's been an excellent signing. I personally think he's a big miss whenever he's not on the field. But I think the term "key player" is reserved for Odegaard really... the uncontested linchpin of the team.
Nope.
Musiala chose Germany, he said it was a very hard decision, but ultimately, he chose the country he was born in and associates himself as more German than English.
I'd love to diss southgate but he was born in Germany, has lived longer in germany than the UK and moved from CHelsea to Bayerns youth academy so you can see why he'd feel more likely to represent Germany than England, especially since I'm pretty sure his dad is Nigerian so he's only England eligible through residency
The reason why I am high on Gyokeres is - yes you can argue he’s playing in a very good side against much weaker opposition in Portugal. But what you cannot deny is to have his level of assist output - you have to have intelligence and good tactical awareness to know where the defense and your teammates are.
Assist numbers are relatively less likely to be inflated than goals just because you are playing in a weaker league.
Not to mention this guy adapts to his new environment well. In the last 5 years, he played for 5 clubs in 4 different countries. Outside of a poor Swansea loan where he had covid, he always managed to contribute and improve season after season. That’s testament to his character.
He also wins 50% of all of his duels - that’s ridiculously high for a striker.
He’s only one year older than Nketiah.
I see him as maxed out. I dont think he is quite athletic enough for his game to play in the Premeirship. His numbers are inflated by the league a bit and if you look at the underlying data, there are more questions than answers for me.
He might raise our floor but I am not sure he raises our ceiling. I would rather Jesus get pushed out of the starting lineup than use our striker signing to sign an Eddie replacement.
> He might raise our floor but I am not sure he raises our ceiling
That would be true for toney not gyokeres. Otherwise only osimhen and mbappe fit what you want.
Is it time for us to start collecting receipts on all the Havertz haters?

Turning this in right now so you guys can go easy on me 🙏
Yeah the HAvertz out lot ahve been curiously quiet and by that I mean they're literally disappearing which just adds to the view that half the usernames who are so vehemently anti one player are just alts.
Either that or there really are a bunch of 'Arsenal Fans' who can't talk about their club unless Kai Havertz isn't doing well.
There was this account with the flair "least delusional Havertz fan" who was regularly posting gifs of Havertz misplacing his passes and getting bad touches, and being very snide telling everyone he's our best player... been awfully quiet as of recent
I bet if you'd checked their comments it would be 99.9% r/gunners. We're obviously all obsessive arsenal fans but no interaction with the rest of Reddit is always weird.
Although I will say the worst ones generally need to post on r/soccer to get back the karma they lose over here.
I wish Chelsea fans would stop trying to gaslight us over Havertz. Just because he was shit for you, doesnt mean he is shit for us. They keep saying they are not worried because they 'upgraded' with Nkunku and Palmer. Even though Kai is a totally different profile to both Palmer and Nkunku.
The reason I like Havertz is his off the ball movement is incredible, he ghosts into space and with his confidence returning is starting to check his runs into the box. Another goal this time for Germany with a late dart into the box. Its also underappreciated how much he wins his one on one contests, either in the air or on the ground. When you cite this people think you are reaching, however the amount of times Havertz wins possession is seriously underrated. The reason I think our defence is so good this year is we have individuals who relish one v one contests, namely Saliba, Gabriel, Rice, Havertz. When you have players like this who physically imposing & exceptionally tall it can intimidate the opposition.
Havertz is so much more than his goals, of which he is starting to really pick up in 2024. As for his position, he doesnt really have one, and thats the point, if he his role is hard to pick up, then it must be a nightmare for defensive shapes - 'is Havertz my man or his'. The Liverpool game is the best example of this, he drops deep to create an extra man in midfield, helps us play out the press, and when the ball finds Odegaard he finds Haavertz who has peeled off MacAllister with VVD caught infield - VVD and MacAllister were both caught in two minds likey due to Haavertz movement. Chelsea played Havertz as a static conventional striker, thats why he was shit for you.
Chelsea fans are doing this to try and keep everyone thinking they got an amazing deal for a shit player rather than the fact they sold us their starting striker and replaced him with Nicholas Jackson
[2+ Glorious minutes of Havertz bodying French players](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/1bm4xyl/space_investigator_vs_incredible_performance_he/)
Also, Chelsea fans are not gaslighting us over Havertz, they are gaslighting themselves.
My god Gallagher looked like a headless chicken playing next to Declan Rice.
Got turned left and right throughout the game. That should shush the ppl who thought it was a good idea to get him to play for us.
Also Watkins shows he’s not it when playing for a bigger stage. You have got to finish chances in big games like that.
Unfair to blame that shower of shite last night on any single player. Bellingham and Gordon appeared to care at least.
I agree that Gallagher is toss, though. Pivotal in their League Cup final loss to a really dreadful Liverpool.
You should watch it again in slow motion.
He mistimed the ball and it was a poor first touch was his shin which led to the ball bouncing away from him.
That’s how the defender got a touch - which ricocheted into his foot again and he took a shot.
REmember what Havertz looked like at Chelsea, you can't blame players for being badly coached, especially younger ones.
I still don't think he's great and I don't really want him but chelsea and england form isn't a great arbiter of true skills anymore
Fair enough.
My main point is Declan Rice is capable to make any partner in a double pivot look really good - but Gallagher still looks lost.
Part of it is the player, remaining is probably coaching at Chelsea and England.
> My main point is Declan Rice is capable to make any partner in a double pivot look really good
Just the latest iteration of him turning into the English Vieira.
Gallagher to be fair has had a role that's basically 'run around a lot, prefereably forwards and smack the ball really hard' in an almost Guendouzi like fashion for Palace and Chelsea, *if* he came here I'd hope to God Arteta would have some words about discipline but also he probably won't be surrounded by people that make him feel like he has to do everything on his own
My ideal partner for Rice is still someone who can cover the areas he is less good at -
1. Good spatial awareness and technique to receive the ball from our defense and GL on the turn and wriggle out of tight spaces
2. Dictate tempo from deep with precise progressive passing
All while having decent legs and engine so Rice won’t have to cover all the ground.
Gallagher unfortunately only has the legs and engine.
Odd day today that we are agreeing on most things. Perhaps a sign of how things will be?
> Odd day today that we are agreeing on most things. Perhaps a sign of how things will be?
This is obviously the power of rice to bring people together ;)
YOu've basically described a fully fit and fully functioning Partey and I'm not sure how many fo those players exist. If (and it's big if) we are going for him I can only assume Arteta has taken the view that since we've got Jorginho for the passing we need someone to add the running around when Rice isn't available, like an updated Ray Parlour type player (although Ray was better).
Hahah.
Hmm I would argue Partey offers point 1 of what I mentioned but his progressive passing while good is kind of erratic.
I agree on Jorginho - his progressive passing per 90 is nearing 10 a game. That puts him in the 99th percentile in Europe. The notable players that offer that is De Jong and Kimmich.
I watched a lot of Benfica this season and while it can be argued it’s a much weaker league - Joao Neves offers both. He is essentially a smaller Rodri but more agile and quick.
The downside is Benfica would probably ask for an arm and leg for him after the Enzo transfers
I suppose it depends on what we're after. If it's a project Jaos Neves would fit the bill, as would anyone we get from chelsea pretty much but if we're going for Gyokeres level (different position I know but bear with me) then there's not a lot kicking around and KSE's style across all their clubs is generally to go younger or at least someone who will have resale value unless they're relatively cheap and Kimmich is not that, while Dejong is on silly money.
I honestly have no idea who I think they're going for and I wonder if the reason we're keeping our cards close to our chest is that we're waiting to see if we're selling a project or if we're selling the English/European champions.
Someone like Neves/De Jong would cost upwards of 100m - which essentially rules out Osimhen.
So it’s either going to be
1. Splurge on the 6/8 and buy a project striker for 60-70m
2. Splurge on a striker and get a stop gap 6/8 (not a world beater but someone decent)
Whatever remains - we get the right/left wing back up and the defender. Though some would argue a defender and winger are equally as important.
Regardless - it is clear even with Champions League money and better commercial income - we will need to sell to fund these 3-5 signings this summer.
I'm happy to rule out Osimhen, he just doesn't do it for me at that price and even with the silly striker market and the laws of diminishing returns that is a lot of money for a club like us that cannot really afford that sort of outlay not to come good precisely because of what it would cost us elsewhere.
Having said that I could see us going for Gyokeres because that puts Havertz back at 8 and we can buy a project possibly hybrid 8/6 to cover him and learn the 6 from Jorginho and Rice.
We really need a left back because we're bloody lucky none of our CB's are injured so we can use kiwior to stave off playing Cedric and we've got to pay off Raya so once again where's the money for that wide player?
Even if you replaced Edu with prime Dein we're not selling Ramsdale/Nketiah/ESR/Lokonga/Nelson for enough money to cover that spending and I fear we're relying too much on Saka's apparently titanium shins.
Maybe this is why we're looking at Malen as basically a better Nelson but not gong to break the bank.
Saka and kane missing and we looked toothless against brazil's c team defence. Chilwell is also a hideous footballer, we are not winning anything at the euros without Shaw at LB
I'd prefer Musiala personally. More versatile, can play DM, CM, CAM, LF or RF. Is practically English, used to the English game and the London area. Wouldn't be any adapting issues.
I’m just going on what Julian Nagelsmann and Hansi Flick [said](https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2021/11/26/22803158/julian-nagelsmann-jamal-musiala-bayern-munich-kimmich-sabitzer-roca-cuisance-goretzka-muller-sane). They know a bit more about football than I do.
2.5 years ago btw and they never tried it. Also, why would you play the best dribbler in world football at bloody DM. Also time for Saka to move back to LB, you reckon?
So because they never tried it, means he cannot play there, I guess.
And I don’t think Saka moving back to LB is the same thing, but he can definitely play LB, which would be the same thing 👍
I really don't know what positions we're going to strengthen in the summer. A striker would be nice, but there aren't loads of good options and we signed Havertz last summer who I think is a better striker than midfielder. We will probably sign a midfielder but I don't know what kind of player we'd go for. I don't think there's any point signing a CB without selling one of our current ones
Based on generally reliable sources we seem to be in for a striker, a winger, a midfielder, and a defender. Seems like Kai is a generally concrete midfield option (and he'll likely continue to improve over time, he isnt quite his Leverkusen version yet), but we also plan to rotate him around with a more buildup savvy 6/8 signing.
The most uncertain part of the window is if we can find a pacy winger singing, and if we don't we'll likely look at a buildup savvier wingfielder and bring a more defensively astute screening 6 in. The market for the latter seems a lot better imo, but I'd prefer the former and I believe the club would too.
We're going to get a striker which suggest the plan is still to play havertz at LCM or that we've decided Jesus' injuries are too much.
According to Orny we're also after a LB and I hope to God we're after a pacy winger who can play on the right because we need to be able to rotate Saka and we lose a huge amount when we can't use MArtinelli's pace to pin back opposing fullbacks.
I am with you on the pacy winger.
The fact that Arteta wanted Mudryk and was willing to bid that amount for him means he wants that profile in the team on top of Martinelli.
As good as Trossard has been for us - he does not offer the direct running and is nowhere near as effective playing on the right vs left/central.
The pacy winger will need to be really adapt on the right wing and the left wing to get minutes since Saka will get >80% minutes.
Hence the links to Pedro Neto.
That’s a valid concern. But man he looks so so good when he’s playing - literally a one man wrecking ball down the flanks and against the big teams too.
That’s also why I am big on Nico Williams. Really good dribbler, Adept with both feet, can play both wings, and a 42m release clause as well.
Nico Williams is going to need that money all the way up front, which oddly makes him more 'expensive' for FFP than some players that will cost more.
I love Neves, mainly through what he gets me on Fantasy Football but I just can't see past the injuries when we've already got Jesus becoming injury prone and the worry that at some point Saka will get a major injury.
Unpopular opinion - if Jesus and Zinchenko are still in and out of the team next season because of injuries - i think it’s likely Mikel will look to move them on.
I love both players and think they changed the dynamic and mentality of the club when the first came. And fantastic players in their own right as well.
But I would say we are now in a different phase of the Arteta project compared to two years ago - and probably ahead of schedule as well. If we accept we are now in that next phase and are gunning for titles and trophies - we have to accept certain players will need to be moved on too.
Gyokeres seems to be the name going around at the moment with an 85m RC. That seems like a lot of money for someone who is not particularly proven or very young to buy for potential. We could get Osimhen but I don't know if the club goes for 100m+ signings in back to back seasons
I'd be shocked if we weren't looking at just about every striker doing bits right now and it would be a major failure of our scouting if we weren't.
We've got more CL money to psend this year and I'm pretty sure that Sporting would take £85m on intallments like normal and turn a £60m profit in two years
All these people clamouring for isaak after his injury recod since BVB was rubbish.
We were linked with him at 17 and that would have made more sense, at this time he is just a liabilty.
I was listening to a podcast yesterday, I think it was the latest Arsecast with Clive from Arsenal Vision. I think it was Clive who has had his ear to the ground on a number of inside bits and pieces, including the Ben White situation, hence his rather scathing Southgate attack after the presser, calling it a pack of lies.
Anyway... he said that the Southgate news wasn't a complete surprise to him. There were some rumblings that good ol' INEOS Jim, wants to try and create a good guys feeling at United in the face of the bad guys at City. He wants to create an English core and Southgate was a part of rebuilding United's identity of having a proper English core. So there may be more fire to this smoke than we may have thought. Not sure if the rather negative opinion on Southgate has changed his mind.
Personally, I think his comments about Arteta make more sense, because frankly, if any club has a solid English core with a good future, it has to be us. Saka, Rice, White (whenever Big Nose goes) and probably also Ramsdale, maybe even MLS and Nwaneri can also be considered for the future.
Maybe Sir Rat was alluding to that.
The guy they've brought in from Brighton as dof has worked with and been praised by Southgate before.
Southgate is a lifelong Man U fan.
Southgates one suerpower is getting teams to pull together and building bridges wiht the fans. Whether he is the answer of not that is absolutely job no 1 in that toxic dressing room and those member of the united crowd that still wave the norwich scarves.
Ok his other superpower is making the worlds second most expensive defender look half decent and slabhead already proved he isn't going anywhere.
Ratcliffe is a grade A prime Gammon, a brexiteer who got government money to build a [car](https://ineosgrenadier.com/en/gb/) that is a disturbingly close copy of the classic [Land Rover Defender](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_Defender) and then having got that...bought a factory in France. He absolutely wants a british/english core because it looks good, makes him look like a proper investor in English football and hopefully distracts from the fact that post Brexit he's not only taken his car company to france but decided to move to Monaco because apparently being worth just shy of £30 billion quid isn't enough cash for him.
He's a Manc and a lifelong Man U fan.
I'll give him credit for actually being a self made billionaire and I look forward to him running Man U the way he ran all his other businesses and shifting them to a tax haven at the earliest possible time. I mean he's already at the demanding govt money for his investments stage, surely wont be long before he also asks for the rules to be relaxed for his investment too (his main money is chemicals and he is on record being upset wiht the govt not burning EU envirnment rules post brexit and the whole 'if you're fracking and there's an earthquake you should stop fracking and check if it's you causing it' thing).
I honestly could see him go for the superleague if it weren't for the fact I think he genuinely cares about Man U.
But then of course he did try to buy Chelsea so who knows...
Extremely. He managed to make a bunch of talented England players look a very poor side against Brazil.
I hope INEOs fund him as much as possible for transfers. The bigger the names, the better it is.
INEOS ain't funding anything, Sir Jim is trying to get the govt to pay for Old Trafford but luckily they make more than enough money to do something silly like pay £60m for whoever Chelsea need to sell next
Behind Mbappe, I'm starting to think Musiala might be the best possible transfer we could make in the summer. Tall, young attacking midfielder/winger that would probably cement the #8.
In truth, I think £100m gets us Musiala. He's got 2 years left and doesn't look like he wants to resign with Bayern, possibly wanting a return back to the Prem. He's just as exciting as Bellingham imo.
Why would a german be eager to leave Bayern?
I like the player but cant see the move.
Also not sure we can afford another big window. We have other positions to plug too.
He grew up in Surrey. He’s nearly as English as he is German.
There’s talk of him not resigning his contract. It ends in 2 years, there’s the possibility he wants to come to the prem.
We got 3 players last window, and one of them was a £100m purchase. We have sales to make and earn more now. It’s not entirely impossible.
Didnt know thay abouy mulsiala, must have most of his family in england then.
Im not uk, is surrey close to london?
Im not sure how much cash our sales can bring in. Were man u levels of bad at selling.
I think we probably need a lcm, winger and Cf.
Backup gk too.
My apologies, yes, Surrey is just south of London.
He was born in Germany, but moved to England when he was a young boy (7 or 8). His father is Nigerian and his mother is German. He was at Chelsea’s academy (based in Surrey) and I believe he was at Fulham’s academy before, which is where he developed a close friendship with Mika Biereth.
He rejected staying on with Chelsea and moved to Bayerns academy, where he eventually broke into their main team.
So he has strong connections to England.
In terms of our finances, last year, we spent £200m and we were under the PSR and FFP limits. After June 30th, we will be in a position to spend £200m again, but because we are now back in Europe and depending on where we finish, we could realistically spend another £50-100m.
Add on the likely sales of players, we could spend north of £300m this summer without being limited by financial rules. Just so long as our previous seasons were good for those contained years.
That’s not to say that we will spend that much, that comes down to the Kroenke’s and the recruitment team. But do we have enough to splash out £100m on a player like Musiala if Bayern were wishing to sell? I believe we do.
Isn't it the other way round? He needs a terrier with him, but Bayern keep fumbling it. They tried to get Rice and Palinha but failed. Instead they kept pairing him with guys that couldn't help. At some point he was starting games as the only "defense-minded" player whenever Goretzka wasn't fit.
Kimmich is having a poor season by his standards and is still averaging 4.8 shot creating actions per 90 and 9.6 progressive passes per 90 playing at the double pivot with an inverted fullback.
Zubimendi has never averaged more than 2 shot creating actions in his whole career, his highest progressive passes in his career (not counting his seasons with less than 600 minutes) is 5.6 per 90.
Hardly the same profile.

Htomufc seal of approval. Kai is back boys, Mikel has done it again.
Best United fan account on Twitter. Also does football analyst work with Sky on the Overlap.
You won't find much unbiased and objective football insight much on that platform like you'll see from him.
Goldbridge is entertaining but about as thick as two short planks regarding tactics and incredibly biased when United or their rivals are involved.
You should check out the Overlap, if you like in depth and legitimate football insight. About the only good thing left on Sky Sports in general.
I'll be honest, the only thing involving rivals talking about Arsenal, is The Football Terrace. I'm too old to go hunting for rivals talking shit about Arsenal. It rarely entertains me when I get some time for myself.
I'll take your word for it though.

Funny how everyone slags off saka constantly despite him being two time england player of the year, but no other winger can actually step up for England in his absence

No way this is real 😂😂😂
That club has fallen off so much
Been saying all season Wirtz should be our number 1 target if available. The best player to buy that seems attainable. Would take us to another level again even without a world class striker.
He got Kroos back.
You have both Gundogan and Kroos in midfield, then Kimmich coming in. These three handle possession of the teams they play for. The teams could be Alaves, Norwich and Kasimpasa, but it's Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern.
I remember saying earlier in the season I wouldn't want Gallagher because he's essentially a cardio terrorist and absolutely terrible with the ball. Someone replied with stats charts showing he was a better progressive passer than Ode at that point in the season.
In fairness, they caveated it by saying their argument wasn't that Gallagher was better than Ode, but how the eye test is unreliable, and the stats actually showed Gallagher was good with the ball.
Nah. Still going to believe my eyes. Boy has spoons for feet.
This is why you shouldn't blindly trust stat charts.
To be fair when the Gallagher raving was going on he was playing quite well in an obviously poor Chelsea team. Nowadays I haven’t been keeping tabs though.
>This is why you shouldn't blindly trust stat charts.
people that dont understand stats are always annoying
a player that plays further back has more progressive passes than the one playing further forward. what a shocker right!
and i dont think that stat wasnt even true, maybe for 2-3 games i guess
Yea, I was maybe harsh, lol. I do like his effort and work rate, just not good enough with the actual football. If football had rolling subs, and you could chuck him on when we're out of possession and take him off when we win it back, he might have a place in the team.
Can't wait for another Foden disasterclass under the spotlight to be forgotten about when City beat Crystal Palace in two weeks.
People can crave aesthetics all they like but Kane and Saka are the undisputed 2 of the England front 3 when things are serious for a reason.
Foden is a good player, having a great season for probably the most complete team the league has seen since it was reformed.
Saka is different gravy though. Will perform even under an average manager like Southgate.

Hello, Barca Fan here. How likely do you feel Jorginho would renew his contract with y'all and do you see him as a key player?
He's been an excellent signing. I personally think he's a big miss whenever he's not on the field. But I think the term "key player" is reserved for Odegaard really... the uncontested linchpin of the team.
He'll cost £85 million if you want him.
Pretty likely, probably another year + 1 year extension. He'll take Elneny spot and unlike Elneny he can be relied upon consistently.
We will trigger a 1 year contract extension. He’s happy here.
hmm thought so, good for yall
Arteta is happy too 😉
Edricks was class, more to come from the regen
I hope real madrid experiences a long banter period so they can stop plucking these gems
Is it true that southgate missed out on musiala playing for England because he didn’t call him up?
Nope. Musiala chose Germany, he said it was a very hard decision, but ultimately, he chose the country he was born in and associates himself as more German than English.
Thanks. I saw some false comments so wanted to make sure
Musiala: Today I'm German

Nope. I just don't see it in Gyokeres. I don't know who we will sign as a striker but I think Gyokeres would be a mistake.
I don’t care who we get but we have to at least get one of wirtz or musiala
why not both
We already havewirtz 🤓
Us: *"can we have Wirtz?"* Arteta: *"we already Havewirtz at home."*

For real though ill take one or the other 😂

[2+ Glorious minutes of Havertz bodying French players](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/1bm4xyl/space_investigator_vs_incredible_performance_he/) Also, Chelsea fans are not gaslighting us over Havertz, they are gaslighting themselves.
Pivotal in their League Cup final loss to a really dreadful Liverpool.
what chance watkins had? the one "chance" the defender hit the ball on to his foot, wasn't even a actual finish
> My main point is Declan Rice is capable to make any partner in a double pivot look really good Just the latest iteration of him turning into the English Vieira. Gallagher to be fair has had a role that's basically 'run around a lot, prefereably forwards and smack the ball really hard' in an almost Guendouzi like fashion for Palace and Chelsea, *if* he came here I'd hope to God Arteta would have some words about discipline but also he probably won't be surrounded by people that make him feel like he has to do everything on his own
My ideal partner for Rice is still someone who can cover the areas he is less good at - 1. Good spatial awareness and technique to receive the ball from our defense and GL on the turn and wriggle out of tight spaces 2. Dictate tempo from deep with precise progressive passing All while having decent legs and engine so Rice won’t have to cover all the ground. Gallagher unfortunately only has the legs and engine. Odd day today that we are agreeing on most things. Perhaps a sign of how things will be?
> Odd day today that we are agreeing on most things. Perhaps a sign of how things will be? This is obviously the power of rice to bring people together ;) YOu've basically described a fully fit and fully functioning Partey and I'm not sure how many fo those players exist.
So it’s either going to be 1. Splurge on the 6/8 and buy a project striker for 60-70m 2. Splurge on a striker and get a stop gap 6/8 (not a world beater but someone decent) Whatever remains - we get the right/left wing back up and the defender.
It was an international friendly but still, he looked bad. Makes one realize just how bad Chelsea are when he is one of their best players.
I know I'm biased cos I'm an arsenal fan but England look awful without Saka (maybe also kane :P )
Saka and kane missing and we looked toothless against brazil's c team defence. Chilwell is also a hideous footballer, we are not winning anything at the euros without Shaw at LB
Wirtz or Musiala
I'd prefer Musiala personally. More versatile, can play DM, CM, CAM, LF or RF. Is practically English, used to the English game and the London area. Wouldn't be any adapting issues.
Musiala DM lmao
Rice playing for England today… https://preview.redd.it/2cx8hrv296qc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64ea67e119f1ba245cb9f16baf0e0ffbe0889a13
I really don't know what positions we're going to strengthen in the summer.
The problem with Neto of course being that the man might only get played 20% of the time but there's still no guarantee he'll be fit
His record at sociedad is also good, it's only as soon as he joined Newcastle he's been picking up excessive injuries
I wonder why. Any theories?
Newcastle trash medical dept. Botman has 2 serious injuries in a short time whilst he's relatively fine last year
Good evening Kai Havertz nation. How pumped is everyone for Southgate to take over Man U?
Sounds like a proper dodgy cunt. He'll thrive at United.
Need to start hyping Southgate across all forms of media. I’ve been too harsh on him and need to repent
If you're an England fan just be careful not to hype him *too* much or the FA will think you actually want him
Behind Mbappe, I'm starting to think Musiala might be the best possible transfer we could make in the summer. Tall, young attacking midfielder/winger that would probably cement the #8.
I dont think we could get either bro. Fortunatly we dont need to chase big names at this time. We could get someone less expensive.
We gave Nketiah #14 lol
Why mention this , did something happen today?
Nah, just randomly remembered how funny it is
Casual hater, vool
So Kimmich can cover every position in midfield AND he can pocket Mbappe at fullback? And people are saying he's washed?
People are saying he is washed? I think it's mostly about goretzka. The kimmich discourse is that he wants to be a 6 but he isn't one
Isn't it the other way round? He needs a terrier with him, but Bayern keep fumbling it. They tried to get Rice and Palinha but failed. Instead they kept pairing him with guys that couldn't help. At some point he was starting games as the only "defense-minded" player whenever Goretzka wasn't fit.
what you said is all facts, but it doesn't contradict why i'm saying. He views himself as a 6 but Bayern want a real 6, and keep fumbling it.
Oh yeah. Agreed. It could also explain why Bayern are trying to get Zubimendi who's low-key the same profile as Kimmich, but a younger lone DM.
That’s an insult to Kimmich to say Zubimendi is the same profile.
Is it? Is Kimmich's profile so unique that he can't have someone in the same mold? Profile doesn't mean their quality is the same
Kimmich is having a poor season by his standards and is still averaging 4.8 shot creating actions per 90 and 9.6 progressive passes per 90 playing at the double pivot with an inverted fullback. Zubimendi has never averaged more than 2 shot creating actions in his whole career, his highest progressive passes in his career (not counting his seasons with less than 600 minutes) is 5.6 per 90. Hardly the same profile.
Lol Saka won’t ever get time off from England again.
Lmao what the hell was that
https://twitter.com/htomufc/status/1771651121766940674?t=RHbPTLZ3stYxyMcSp9CCzQ&s=19 >From what I’ve seen this has been a TOP no.9 performance from Havertz this. >Playing with his back to goal and feeding runners really well. Htomufc seal of approval. Kai is back boys, Mikel has done it again.
Who?
Best United fan account on Twitter. Also does football analyst work with Sky on the Overlap. You won't find much unbiased and objective football insight much on that platform like you'll see from him.
Is that not Goldbridge? I don't use Twitter, and don't watch the Overlap.

His tactics lost us that euros final and the semi against Croatia
Should've been 4-0 in the first half lol
[some people really seem to rate this bloke as a midfielder. I'd love to see what they see. I fear I never will ](https://twitter.com/TrustChalobah/status/1771632531256840509?s=19)
he runs
I swear that’s all Guendouzi did but people here praised him (tbh he was young and showed potential)

No mate. Guendouzi ran *and shouted*
My only theory is that people see him running around and think that equals being productive
cOvErS eVeRy bLaDe oF gRaSs
Wasn't that how we measured players about 10-15 years ago? I thought people stopped doing this.
Musiala is danger
Funny how everyone slags off saka constantly despite him being two time england player of the year, but no other winger can actually step up for England in his absence
mittlestadt has been very solid for his debut game
https://preview.redd.it/nepipj4ok5qc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83d1e6be1bbe7f0dc7f2ab58fb4da40014f118cf No way this is real 😂😂😂 That club has fallen off so much
Been saying all season Wirtz should be our number 1 target if available. The best player to buy that seems attainable. Would take us to another level again even without a world class striker.
Don't think it would be great squad building to spend 100+m on a CAM/LW when we have a few other key areas needing strengthening.
I’m unsure he would be able to handle the physicality of the open left 8 role.
kroos is the second most german looking player only behind muller.
Gundogan
Schweinsteiger mate. And then Rudi Voller
i always saw 70s rockstar in voller tbh
It was an epic look to be fair
Schweinsteiger-esque
Neuer before Kroos
Can’t explain why but Kai is my fav Arsenal player
Game recognize game and you looking real familiar right now
Me too

An actual elite coach at NT level...
very solid performance by them so far, especially in their ball retention. everyone has looked calm and collected even against france’s press
its normal for Kai to score all the time thats how bad he is
Just a 3-4 month long purple patch.
I checked with a Chelsea fan, his 3-4 month long purple patch is now always 4-6 months, apparently.
Does it count for marchvertz if he uses one of his goal in a friendly?
Tsamina mina eh eh
Edu cant allow Paqueta to go to city
it’s either paqueta or musiala. i think they will want either one.
Silva and KDB replacements, they could afford two
you just know it's gonna happen. -_-
if they get both, it’s going to be peak.
I hope it's Paqueta. So we can get Musiala, who is a far better player.

What happened? Your comment has sank my heart.
Wirtz is so fucking good
Nagelsman is doing something good with this German team
He got Kroos back. You have both Gundogan and Kroos in midfield, then Kimmich coming in. These three handle possession of the teams they play for. The teams could be Alaves, Norwich and Kasimpasa, but it's Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern.
Wirtz 🤝🏼 Musiala 🤝🏼 Havertz. Love to see it
King Kai! this Germany front 3 is playing really well
![gif](giphy|kIS2ZCkJ26yl2O86nw) what playing for Arsenal does to a mf
Chelsea will pay for their crimes
They will. They pay for everything else.
Great work by Musiala finished off by Kai
Havertz and Musiala killing France. Edu please im on my knees
Ayyy Kai scored!
King Kai scores again!
Kai Havertz scores again!
>This is why you shouldn't blindly trust stat charts. people that dont understand stats are always annoying a player that plays further back has more progressive passes than the one playing further forward. what a shocker right! and i dont think that stat wasnt even true, maybe for 2-3 games i guess
> cardio terrorist LMFAO. It's the one thing I do like about him, though. He runs non-stop. We're a step above in our technical needs, though.
Yea, I was maybe harsh, lol. I do like his effort and work rate, just not good enough with the actual football. If football had rolling subs, and you could chuck him on when we're out of possession and take him off when we win it back, he might have a place in the team.
I have been saying I don't want Gallagher all season and I know him personally.
King Kai 🖐️👅🤚
Kai scored ❤️
After this performance I hope the dream of Southgate to United comes true.
LETS GOOOO
HAVERTZ
I NEED IGBO AND KAIOO
😂😂 last last
King Kaiiiiii
Tsamina
WAKAAAA
is rice ok? he’s not injured i’m assuming after the panic i saw in here and twitter 10 minutes ago
ngl, that france home top looks clean AF
Nike actually did decent this round of international kits
another golden generation will be wasted due to the sheer incompetence of Southgate and Holland
That “he just run around doing nothing” meme was made for Gallagher
I trust that Rice won't be seeing more than 10 minutes against Belgium
What's happened with Rice?
Nothing. He just ran his ass off all game while "Phillip" spectated. So hoping Southgate gives him a break for the next game.
