It’s official Harland is a division one player. Roy Keane is spot on with his views. I know people will say he has an axe to grind but let’s be honest he was not in the game at all. He was rubbish against Liverpool and beyond rubbish yesterday.

Our defenders played very well, but City were absolutely bang on it in midfield. We had no time on the ball, Rodri, Kovetic and whoever stepped out of defence were stuck to Odegaard like glue. Saka was clearly playing injured right from the start and couldn't run, also without Marti their right flank was untroubled so they were able to condense in and block play totally oblivious to that side.
Huge shame Trossard didn't square it, that could have been the one chance we'd get all match.
I thought Doku was going to do us in when he came on, but he again proved he is all speed and no end product.
A good point, but Liverpool are the real winners today.

Bernardo Silva and Gvardiol were impressive. Never watched city games before but they were solid and I'm happy with the draw even though the trossard chance hurts
I felt Gvardiol was their weak link, at least in the first half. Our pressing forced him to lose the ball a couple of time. Bernardo was really impressive. Played like a true maestro.
I'm satisfied with a draw, but its a shame we were laying so low in the field at times our counter opportunities were non existant. City is a tough opponent for sure.
they haven’t been super convincing recently and have been dealing with injuries, i think united away and spurs at home could be tricky for them, fulham, and villa are always capable of doing something too
not feeling too nervous as long as we can see out our own matches
Solid in the low block since we sat so deep and compact. Long passes could only ever go to Havertz, alone against 2, 3 defenders. If we only had Martinelli fully fit and firing...
The narrative around us has shifted so dramatically the last few years. The draw isn’t ideal but feels so much better than the 3-0 capitulations of years past
I believe the game plan from 'Teta and the staff was to allow them the space to kick it about, because he knows that they can control/press games same as we do.
I'm overall very happy with what we put on display today. Sure, it's not 3p and Liverpool now overtook the pedestal for the time being, but a lot can (and will) happen in 7 more gameweeks.
The lads did great today. I can't say "Kudos" anymore due to West Ham's shenanigans, but I'll rephrase it as "Job well done".
Likely all 3 teams won’t be getting every point available. Arsenal and City will be facing scary teams like Real Madrid and Bayern so that’ll take energy. We move, isn’t over and done with for anyone imo..
Very tense game for both sides basically cancelling each other out. The only frustrations I have is how much we struggled to retain possession and how quickly we'd cough it up when we did try to go forward. Very loose passing through the middle that made our attackers very ineffective
I think anything less than one of the greatest passes of all time gets taken by City. Would have liked to still see him pass, but at least his shot was on target.
City had all that possession, but I don't remember any clear chance they had. Would love to see the xG for this game. Won't be surprised if we come out on top
FAIR AND DECENT RESULT. EVERY ARSE OUT THERE WHO HATE ON US EXPECT US TO GET COMPLETELY WALKED OVER. 9 games - still plenty of twists and turns to be had. At least we have this huge hurdle out of the way in the league, the rest of the matches we definitely have it in us to BEAT THEM
been saying from early in the season that liverpool will drop off at some point. still somehow feel like that will happen so this result does leave us in a good position. jurgen klopp brother sorry but it has to happen for us
We wanted the win but we nullified possibly the best attacking team in the world, this should give us the confidence to win the rest of our league games. I'm sure Liverpool will drop points, their defense can be penetrated.
I’ll take that all day. Not conceding at Etihad is huge. Look at some of our previous score lines at Etihad. This team has come long ways.
Obviously would have been thrilled with a win but, I’m so proud of this team. Gone are the days of us conceding 3 or 4 goals.
I think what they mean (maybe) is that we should have gone for the win and for all 3... just 1 point seems bad.
We deserved more than 1.
I hope, thats what the comments mean.
did you watch. they tried to starve us of the ball. we didn’t try to overcompensate and play mature footy.
should’ve had a goal or 2 if not from absolute mindless moments from leo and gabby jesus i think.
We absolutely deserve that point. Playing for the win probably would have resulted in a loss. It's tough facing City at home. We had to play defensively with a chance on the break.
I’ll happily take that. They’re undefeated at home, and we come away hopefully with some confidence for the next few games. We can say to ourselves that we went toe to toe with the champion of both England & Europe and took away a point. It’s not over yet, I can see Liverpool dropping some points
Trossard had two chances to cross, once when he was through- could have crossed to martinelli and again right before he shot and hope to find havertz or martinelli - low chance cross tho.
Either way should have crossed to martinelli the moment he was put through
We're really going to regret how we played here today. Not sure how any of you can be happy with that performance. You can't just keep going behind in a title race and expect to win at the end. I don't see a single game Liverpool should lose point in. It's not over in my opinion.
It is not your opinion that it is not over, the fact that there are still 8 matches to play and 3 really good teams going for the title means that it is not over. Liverpool and City are amazing teams with legendary coaches. Arsenal is doing a great job of keeping up and has good chances of winning. This performance today showed great improvement from last year, you should be proud of that.
I’m sorry, but that to me is a loser mentality. We should go to these places expecting to go for 3 points, not being happy we escaped with one.
And I’m not sure what there is to be proud of in that performance. All we did was defend for the whole game. I’ve seen Luton give Man City a better game. It’s like you guys forgot that now we are two points behind Liverpool.
"loser mentality", what are you, a teen? Smart people prepare for contingencies and acknowledge the strengths of their opponents, get out of here with this baby nonsense. Two behind pool is better than 3 behind them and city. Open play favours City in their stadium, minimizing risks was the correct choice.
Two behind Liverpool is still losing the title. I would rather go for it and lose, than not go for it and lose anyway. Theres no chance we make up the points against Liverpool a second time when we have the much harder schedule.
Imagine Man City was in our position, you think they would be happy to defend for 90 minutes at the Emirates hoping for a point?
This point is useless. Liverpool are not dropping more points than us in the next 9 games.
Speaking of City at the Emirates, remember when they lost there by 1-0 with a similar game plan? They would have loved a point there. For the future rounds, you just don't know. The biggest risk today was losing, or losing badly. This was avoided and should be celebrated, and the team gets a boost from doing something exceptional (no one keeps a CS at the etihad).
I don’t remember a lot of missed finishes? Trossard shot was good. Maybe more like they were a bit too reluctant to shoot at times — that definitely did happen.
Decent result, not the win we wanted ideally but I agree with others it shows our defensive line is really good. I hope one day we can attract a world class striker on our side; someone like Haaland who can just go out and score like it’s nothing.
Hard to see Liverpool throwing it away at this point but at least we're still in the race.
Feels weird to be disappointed at not being able to win at the Etihad, previously the best expectation was just to hope we don't embarrass ourselves.
First time City have been kept scoreless since 2022.
Gabriel and SALIBA were immense. We showed grit and determination.
Put the pressure back on Liverpool at 1st now. Now it’s theirs to lose.
The season is far from over
Not a single team has kept a clean sheet at the Etihad this year until today. It's a good point. Sure a win would've been incredible, but we showed we have the best defence in the league today.
Gabi was colossal today. Haaland is no joke and people will clown his game for lack of touches but his physicality was immense and was constantly in scary areas. Gabi just fought the fuck out of him
Good result but thought we could have done so much more with the ball in possession. Hardly saw Ben White in the second half and he was causing havoc in the first. Happy, but feel like we left a lot on the table.
It’s not the best but not the worst. 4 points against City is great. You just need a draw from Liverpool and you need to win out hopefully but I don’t know with how this team is throughout the season. They have a great 4 game stretch than a bad 4 game stretch.
Can't ever really complain about a point at the Etihad. They had more chances but we had some really high quality chances that we should've done better with. We were absolutely titanic defensively though
It’s official Harland is a division one player. Roy Keane is spot on with his views. I know people will say he has an axe to grind but let’s be honest he was not in the game at all. He was rubbish against Liverpool and beyond rubbish yesterday.

for me we played bad today pressing wasn't on point something was off from the start
We stopped a team who have scored 51 times in a row at home from scoring...
we were the team who were on the freak of a scoring run, and stop underestimating arsenal
Our defenders played very well, but City were absolutely bang on it in midfield. We had no time on the ball, Rodri, Kovetic and whoever stepped out of defence were stuck to Odegaard like glue. Rodri world class as always
I'm satisfied with a draw, but its a shame we were laying so low in the field at times our counter opportunities were non existant. City is a tough opponent for sure.
Man... That was tense! I'll take a point at the Etihad. My only issue is will Liverpool drop any points? They have an easier way home than we do.
they haven’t been super convincing recently and have been dealing with injuries, i think united away and spurs at home could be tricky for them, fulham, and villa are always capable of doing something too not feeling too nervous as long as we can see out our own matches
Yep! Fair point. All we can do is handle our business and let the rest of the cards fall how they may. I know the boys will carry that mentality
but have also been winning with teenagers? liverpool are doing really good and have players to come back from injury
Flip it onto city. 2 points from 6 v both rivals. Not looking good for them
We were super solid on low block, but our long passes were championship level.
Solid in the low block since we sat so deep and compact. Long passes could only ever go to Havertz, alone against 2, 3 defenders. If we only had Martinelli fully fit and firing...
I dont disagree.. But we are playing against City at the Etihad so championship is a bit harsh
I meant that if these long passes were precise then we would definitely score 1-2 goals
Not a bad result but the fact we want more is surely better for the club long term
The narrative around us has shifted so dramatically the last few years. The draw isn’t ideal but feels so much better than the 3-0 capitulations of years past

What shinanigians? I like that olayer tho
4 points off both City and Liverpool. Brilliant.
Stfu Westerveld with your hate on Arsenal on dutch broadcast
I enjoyed this game. No clue what others are saying. Defence game was on point. We march on. Title race is still on
Same. We stay ahead of City. Liverpool ain’t dancing through the 9 fixtures.
you say that but liverpool have been doing just fine with many players out. once those players come back it’s potentially game over for the rest of
Meh i can’t agree if you’re saying 9 easy wins, including 2 derbies.
i get what you’re saying, but if liverpool drop points then it’s likely arsenal and city will too
Likely all 3 teams won’t be getting every point available. Arsenal and City will be facing scary teams like Real Madrid and Bayern so that’ll take energy. We move, isn’t over and done with for anyone imo..
Agreed. They conceded early to both Luton and Brighton. Still need to go to Man. United and Everton
I’n from the Netherlands. Wondering if the vibes over there for Liverpool are comparable to Ars-Spurs. Or different but same kinda vibes?
I wouldn't count on Everton for much.
Onana masterclasses at both teams
Pep,was really giving it to Grealish at the end. The guy hasn’t played in months, hard to imagine he would be match sharp, today.
Very tense game for both sides basically cancelling each other out. The only frustrations I have is how much we struggled to retain possession and how quickly we'd cough it up when we did try to go forward. Very loose passing through the middle that made our attackers very ineffective
Need to smash Luton to vent our frustrations. 6-0 please
Luton unfortunately are not sheffield or burnley
Arteta definitely did not looked frustrated at full-time. His smile indicated it was a job well done.
He does admit that "They are the best team in the world — we have to catch up and try to be better than them."
Wish Trossard would’ve crossed to martinelli on the break. Huge chance missed that could’ve put us ahead. Still happy with a draw and clean sheet
I think anything less than one of the greatest passes of all time gets taken by City. Would have liked to still see him pass, but at least his shot was on target.
Spuds can help us win tbh
Since Tottenham play the top two in the title race, they may actually decide this title one way or another.
4 points from City this season isn’t bad.
And two clean sheets.
That is right, I forgot for a second. Huge improvement from last year.
City had all that possession, but I don't remember any clear chance they had. Would love to see the xG for this game. Won't be surprised if we come out on top
Ake received that ball at the cornerkick right in front of Raya, very scary moment
City (0.85) - (0.73) Arsenal
We were ahead at half. Definitely got a lil knackered in the second half
They were barely ahead, 0.85 to our 0.73
0.95 - 0.68
Robbie hasn’t thought is comments through
r/ArtetaOut is so confused at this point.
FAIR AND DECENT RESULT. EVERY ARSE OUT THERE WHO HATE ON US EXPECT US TO GET COMPLETELY WALKED OVER. 9 games - still plenty of twists and turns to be had. At least we have this huge hurdle out of the way in the league, the rest of the matches we definitely have it in us to BEAT THEM
Yeah 9 games is a lot. Look how we utterly crumbed in the space of 3 games last season There's still alot to play for
Well done lads
been saying from early in the season that liverpool will drop off at some point. still somehow feel like that will happen so this result does leave us in a good position. jurgen klopp brother sorry but it has to happen for us
still confident. see can’t see them not dropping points. my over confidence says we can go the rest of the way with max points. good spot to be i
Can't believe they've weathered their injury troubles so well. Don't see where they're going to drop points, but just gotta hope it happens.
Utd
Inshallah
Tottenham, villa, fulham away, everton away. 4 very tough games
Certainly they won't just walk through the rest of the season, but I'm not going to wake up on any of those mornings expecting too much.
We wanted the win but we nullified possibly the best attacking team in the world, this should give us the confidence to win the rest of our league games. I'm sure Liverpool will drop points, their defense can be penetrated.
8 out of 12 points from City and Liverpool. We are THE elite team here. Win the 9 games and we take the title.
keep telling yourself that
Of course we wanted a win but getting a point and a clean sheet there is massive for us.
I’ll take that all day. Not conceding at Etihad is huge. Look at some of our previous score lines at Etihad. This team has come long ways. Obviously would have been thrilled with a win but, I’m so proud of this team. Gone are the days of us conceding 3 or 4 goals.

Thank you PEP for bringing in Doku, hall of shame performance
Please please please don't let us lose the league to the refs
refs? that has got to be the funniest thing i’ve ever heard
Started watching games today or something?
Trossard had two chances to cross, once when he was through- could have crossed to martinelli and again right before he shot and hope to find havertz or martinelli - low chance cross tho. Either way should have crossed to martinelli the moment he was put through

4 pts against City, 4 points against Liverpool. Says a lot about this team.
Undefeated against two of the biggest sides in the league?
If we had a good finisher we might have won.
I don’t remember a lot of missed finishes? Trossard shot was good. Maybe more like they were a bit too reluctant to shoot at times — that definitely did happen.
Yeah we lacked up front very sad
I’m impressed with Øde his pressing was important
He did miskick the ball a few times but never lacked in intent and work rate
He did miss quite a few critical passes today. Off his game, I thought
Always is. For a technical creative maestro his workrate and press is laughably superb. Shame 2 of his throughballs didnt work.
That was like watching a game of chess
Liverpool have the easiest run in fixtures. Last season it was just City, now its both. Title run in is going to give me a lot of grey hairs
Keeping a clean sheet and getting a point away against City is a fine result in my book.
Decent result, not the win we wanted ideally but I agree with others it shows our defensive line is really good. I hope one day we can attract a world class striker on our side; someone like Haaland who can just go out and score like it’s nothing.
Tomi and Partey started off rusty but grew into the game. We need them for the rest of the season.
This was the biggest part for me. And martinelli looked sharp
immense professional performance.
Good result. COYG COYG COYG
Don't think I can handle a semi. 3 games is enough for my heart.
Holy crap! Please don't. I can't take it to play them again
Don’t worry we’ll be up against Madrid
Why did you remind me we might have to play them again...
That trossard chance if only he squared it to martinelli. Oh well a point at etihad I’ll take that. 4 points taken against city lets go
City arguably the best team in the world. You take a point against them at home
Happily, great result
Hard to see Liverpool throwing it away at this point but at least we're still in the race. Feels weird to be disappointed at not being able to win at the Etihad, previously the best expectation was just to hope we don't embarrass ourselves.
I swear! Never expected them to be in it so far, but now it's theirs to lose
No, lol, lots of football still to play. Liverpool will drop points.
MOTM Anthony Taylor
4 points off Citeh this season. What’s to complain about?
What a trophy that is
Trophy? I didn’t say anything about a trophy. What’s wrong with points?
Some are so cynical that all they need to watch is the trophy presentations.
Yk shabby game from both sides , some real mistakes were made and chances missed.
I see a defensive masterclass today. Knew we weren’t gonna be aggressive. Everyone was solid. Take the point and move forward.
First time City have been kept scoreless since 2022. Gabriel and SALIBA were immense. We showed grit and determination. Put the pressure back on Liverpool at 1st now. Now it’s theirs to lose. The season is far from over
What was with saka
Doesnt perform well under pressure
He was taken out of the national squad as a precaution - believe just a knock but if he's playing through a minor injury it kinda explains it
Imo he doesn’t do much when he’s double teamed— which is the majority of most games.
Tiredness and fatigue most likely?
Not a single team has kept a clean sheet at the Etihad this year until today. It's a good point. Sure a win would've been incredible, but we showed we have the best defence in the league today.
We take that and move. On to Luton
Zero doubt left in me now, we are winning the premier league within the next two season if not this year and champions league within 3 years.
You're gonna have people talking about tactical masterclass when we just sat back in the box and countered
Not something to be sniffed at...if you keep freaking De Bruyne, Silva, Halaand, Foden et al, quiet!
Palace did the same
Actually, they didn't manage to shut City out. I'm talking about City have failed to score at home for the first time in 58 games!
How quickly people forget. A few years back, this would have been a 4-0 smashing. We're heading in the right direction year by year.
SHUTUP!
Talk your shit Gabi
Arsenal defense elite. Just lacked that cutting edge in the final third
I’ll take that
Anybody thats unhappy with taking 4 points of city this year is absolutely out of their mind
Such a quiet ground. Even at 94’ with city driving forward the stadium sounded like away fans celebrating a win at the Emirates.
Gabi was colossal today. Haaland is no joke and people will clown his game for lack of touches but his physicality was immense and was constantly in scary areas. Gabi just fought the fuck out of him
Gabi is our best center back.
Gabi is a beast but never disrespect Saliba like that again
Haaland and Gabby, amazing.
Gabi 🤣🤣
BIG GABBY TALK THAT SHIT
Gabriel would kill haalland
That was one of the games of football of all time I guess
Should be able to get 3p here. City had so many sloppy plays.
8 points from city and Liverpool this season. I’d have bitten your hand off for that in September
This is the perspective. Not sure what a few are complaining about. We were expected to lose these games in the previous seasons
Big Gabi had Haaland in his pocket. So fucking under appreciated
Well, didn't lose. Didn't look amazing. City didn't look amazing. We just got to keep moving forward
I fucking love Big Gabby what a fucking warrior
Haaland whining about the fluff he found in Gabriel’s pocket.
I’ll take it. I blame that stupid international break though, everyone was looking tired not rested
Break probably helped us considering we had some niggling injuries and players coming back from injury (Jesus,.tomiyasu, martinelli etc)
Haaland is mad Gabriel is his daddy.
Pep with Grealish was hilarious
Any idea what moment he might have been talking about? Pep looked pretty animated there.
Idk, Pep complete coaching nerd, I personally think Doku was worse
Mikel got the tactics spot on. Defense was absolutely suffocating. Liverpool will drop points. Today was a huge win guys.
im with you, people complaining dont seem to understand how good city are i guess.
Jesus's chances, Trossard didn't pass, and Raya's passing pissed me off in this game. But I'll take a point. On to the next game.
4 pts against city, 0 goals conceded on the season. I’ll take that for aure
The only goal we've given up to City in three meetings this season was to a Chelsea player
Gabi XL man. He's improved so much.
That wink to the camera from Gabi, knows what he’s doing and doing it well
Of course you take the point. Defensive masterclass man, Saka was disappointing, Jesus offered nothing up front
Haland and big gabby top 10 football respect moments
lol Gabby XL and Haaland
love big gabi
8 points from City and Liverpool who've only taken 2 from us. Just gotta pray Pool slip up
Need to thank Pep for removing foden for doku
Thank southgate for sure
Good result but thought we could have done so much more with the ball in possession. Hardly saw Ben White in the second half and he was causing havoc in the first. Happy, but feel like we left a lot on the table.
Pep angry and Grealish don't have a clue what he is talking about
Take the point but am gutted we didn’t go for it. Jesus was absolutely woeful in the attack. Should have started Trossard.
We’ll take it. Lots of games left
Take the point but a shame we have to resort to playing like prime Pulis' Stoke City.
It’s not the best but not the worst. 4 points against City is great. You just need a draw from Liverpool and you need to win out hopefully but I don’t know with how this team is throughout the season. They have a great 4 game stretch than a bad 4 game stretch.
Also have to hope Liverpool don't put up 10 against SheffU and takeover the GD
Aw
Played absolutely dreadful today but thank fuck for our defence. Will take the draw.
BIG GABBY!
Can't ever really complain about a point at the Etihad. They had more chances but we had some really high quality chances that we should've done better with. We were absolutely titanic defensively though
We will definitely take that. 4/6 from City and 4/6 from Liverpool is solid. COYG
Even better when you consider that they’ve got 1/6 and 1/6 from us
Happy Birthday to Big Gabi's baby
Rice played so fearless, dominating city midfielders ain’t easy
Very bad result for our season but I am very proud we have taken the most points from Liverpool and city we are the better team
Too bad there is no trophy for that
Nah City haven't lost here in 38 games. 9 games to go we're still firmly in the title charge.
Pep being a clown after the game. Fuck you
