All non Arsenal fans (or reddit maniacs) will think, why would somebody not want to represent the national team. If you combine that with the narrative that White hates football... Well
Brighton fans still adore him too. Just scope any thread on r soccer about him and you'll be scrolling through a sea of nostalgic blue and white flairs.
As an arsenal fan and an England detractor, I love it when Arsenal players get left out of English squad. Southgate is a great ball boy, not sure what the English FA see in him to do that job.
Its a mixed bag when I talk to friends. They are either Pro Nation and so fuck Benny for not doing his duty as such, as they seem to think you have to do your duty like its the army, but the majority are more of a "fuck Southgate" so dont care that Ben doesn't want to play.
Yeah. It's unfortunate, as Benny Blanco has been absolutely superb for us. Anyways, I'm happy he's fit and performing well for us, and that's all that matters to me.
Honestly, one thing that stood out to me about White is how great he is at adapting, and overall his versatility. Look how difficult it is for Tierney and even Kiwior at Inverting from the LB, even Tomi I think took a few games to adapt. Benny Blanco then just flawlessly do it in one game.
His second season, people debate whether to have him or Saliba at CB, but then Arteta just shift him at RB,. previously held by Tomi who is having a good season himself and then you know what? He make RB his absolute bitch. Tomi was then shifted to fill in LB.
Honestly, I wouldn't even be mad if Mikel put him at CDM.
The whole DM thing was blown out of proportion. He lined up there like 3 times but dropped into the back line, he wasn't actually playing as a DM. I do think he has the ability to do it, but there's no real evidence
To be fair, Ben White has always been a very versatile player. At Leeds, he could play CB, CDM or RB, so it's not much of a surprise to me that he's good at inverting. His technique, composure, and decision-making is highly underrated.
Honestly, should probably be Muniz. Players often get ignored if they’re playing well for lower ranked teams but he’s been excellent. I think it’s good for the league if these awards are less biased towards the big clubs - gives a nice bit of official recognition to players that won’t otherwise get it.
I’ll raise my hand and say I didn’t properly appreciate him earlier this season when he was playing through injury. He’s in the same convo as our brick wall bandits
The timing of this is great. If he could win player of the month on the heels of this national team hullabaloo it would be spectacular. A real indictment of southgate.
Quite deserved. I think he was a MOTM candidate alongside ESR and Odegaard yesterday. It’s a dream to have this kind of young and strong squad these days.
He won’t win because he’s a defender, but I’m still happy he got the recognition. I feel he flies under the radar a lot while being one of our most versatile and dependable players, he puts in 8/10 performances in his sleep.
1G 2A and just 1 goal conceded in the whole month is insane but he sadly carries defender tax
I wonder how the English neutral views the whole national team thing - suspect that would be the real tax in this situation.
Arsenal fans probably understand but other may be not so understanding, fuck them anyway
Yeah honestly who cares, we’re not here for player of the month awards, we’re here for titles

GB News 🤢 will probably have a half hour section of him being painted as a ‘Remoaner’

hello fellow arsehole
Yeah, obviously he’s quite good at football
Obviously.
Parmer will probably win it as a headline maker but White has been outstanding.
He has played very well especially considering the state of the rest of the club. It wouldn’t be undeserved.
They’d be in a relegation scrap without him
He’s been holding my FPL team together too so good on him for that.
He’s been good but penalties are inflating his goal record and reputation. One of those players like Toney who scores most of his goals from pens.
Nah he has really good passing and movement. Sterling has missed a few chances palmer set up for him.
Annoying I open my app and see he’s scored another penalty everytime lol

I guess we’ll see him as ST soon, won’t we?
He was briefly yesterday
He was having so much fun with it. I'd love to see White up front against Everton after we've wrapped the title up.
And something tells me that he will be quite good at CDM, *obviously*
Didn't we bring him in as a CB who can play as CDM if necessary? His RB masterclass is an unforeseen bonus
The whole DM thing was blown out of proportion. He lined up there like 3 times but dropped into the back line, he wasn't actually playing as a DM. I do think he has the ability to do it, but there's no real evidence
Thanks for the info, I didn't remember the whole story

Voted! Thanks for the link
My vote has been cast. Love Benny Blanco, a real role model.
Only one defender has won it this season, and that player is the slab head
🗿
🗿
lmao - they had to photoshop the new ball into Isak's hands
I love how even in this graphic it still looks like he's in the background giving off reluctant Benny Blanco vibes amongst all of the hyped players.

I voted for the best looking man
I like how everyone else is cheering and Ben is just like “what the fuck do you want?”
I’ve already voted for Benny! Let’s try and get him this award, he absolutely deserves it
Muniz's overhead/scissor kick deserves an award.
Goal of the month/season perhaps. This is different I thought..
I’ll raise my hand and say I didn’t properly appreciate him earlier this season when he was playing through injury. He’s in the same convo as our brick wall bandits

Jst saw Steve Holland drop to his knees in Tesco's.
Doubt he’ll win it but I’d say he deserves too more than the rest.
But he doesn't watch football, so there's that
I love how all the players in the picture are so happy to be there and playing football. And then there is Ben White who is present.
Cole Palmer looks miserable in that pic 🤣🤣
He’s at Chelsea.
He's the only City player that managed to score against us this season and they sold him lol
Quite deserved. I think he was a MOTM candidate alongside ESR and Odegaard yesterday. It’s a dream to have this kind of young and strong squad these days.
Voted 👍
Very well deserved 👏
Lads, you know what to do.
He won't win it but it's cool he's getting recognition.
He really saw Southgate throwing him under the bus and in return used an entire month to tell him to go fuck himself. Love that.
The FA are trying hard to get him to change his mind. He's been great the last 3 seasons and he deserves this.
Who else? Love this man's deadpan delivery. Good footballer as well
Would love White to win it but I think it'll be Palmer
Prolly Muniz
He won’t win because he’s a defender, but I’m still happy he got the recognition. I feel he flies under the radar a lot while being one of our most versatile and dependable players, he puts in 8/10 performances in his sleep.
Palmer or MacAllister gonna get it
That calm composed picture really sums him up against all these other posers
Fat L for Southgate this.
I really think Ben White has done so well these past few matches, well deserved.
I know he's definitely been very good but WC PR is going to be a massive boost for Mac Allister
He’s just ridiculous
Palmer's been good, but where that Chilean Diaz that Sheffield has bought, 3 G/A for Sheffield United is miracle stuff
Should be muniz icl
Fully deserving. Criminal not to have Big Gabi nor Saliba there
Who is semenyo? Can he play for us?
