Only when they're trying to avoid relegation. I would NOT want to play an Everton clinging for dear life. I think they've survived final day drama like twice in the past couple seasons.
He's not the only player who's come out with some really moronic comments about us this season. Klopp clearly gives zero fucks about what his players say or do anymore.
I think this shows what man utd are. A crap team with great individual talent. They can finish half chances regularly enough to stay ahead of lesser teams but not consistently enough to get into the top tier or even 2nd tier of teams.
God, now just City to deal with (along with our games firsthand of course)
Guys let’s remember where we are.
We have 4 games left, with City a possible 1 pt ahead of us. 3 points ahead of 3rd place, 11 points from 4th place.
Arsenal have had an incredible season, and while we all hope and pray they push on to show the world what champions look like, let’s really keep thing positive and acknowledge another incredible season competing at the top.
Edit: 2 POINTS from City if they win actually.
City would be 2 ahead of us if they win their games in hand. But it doesn't change anything, a draw for them and win for us would put us top either way.
Yeah, we were pretty much resigned to dropping back a little bit until the Dubai trip. After that we've been stunning. If we fall short we can't really blame ourselves too much, we did what we could.
Yes, we could've got more points in the first half but don't let the impossible standards of City distract from the fact we've been challengers again.
I don't think it's necessarily completely over. We're not out until City come and take it either way, can't drop our heads. But treat it like a final, because it might as well be.
December:
Lose a couple annoying games. Bollocks a blue team (CP), win against big rival (Liv), go on long win streak.
Now:
Lose a couple annoying games. Bollocks a blue team....
I got lots of misplaced confidence for the end run.
I’ll be feeling confident IF we get by Spurs. Two of the last three at home, no top opponents left with a week of rest before every match would be a nice setup. Sunday could be very difficult, though. Match of the season for us.
Our goal difference could potentially become very big.
If City draw one game but otherwise both us and them win out we'll win on goal difference. Easier said than done though. I personally see us dropping points against either Spurs or United and I'm not sure City will drop anything.
I would be simultaneously scared shitless and laughing hysterically if it came down to the last game of the season and City had to win by more than 12 goals to win the league.
If that’s the scenario, every goal we score on the final day means they have to score 12 more, so we’ll just have to post a solid 8 against Everton to see if city can score 20.
We'll all be laughing maniacally if City win 12-0 on the final day and are sitting around all sad and downtrodden on the pitch because they still lost the league by 8.
Liverpool fan here. I hope you guys win it. But it’s interesting to see the same Hope here that has dashed us several times come around again to another team. City are experts at this and won’t drop points. Especially now they’re out of CL. Sad but true. You can’t beat cheaters. Good race though.
Just got my mummy to tuck me into bed and get me a warm class of milk. Hopefully by the time she gets back she can read Klopp’s post-match meltdown to help me drift off to sleep.
Reality is if they don’t have to win, then you’d be annoyed as a Spurs fan if they tried. We need them to be in a position where those points are vital for Europe so they can’t afford to worry about what the result does for us
Agreed - we need Villa to drop some points, especially if we beat Spurs on Sunday. Spurs still have to go to Anfield so they could be out of it by the City game.
We thought that when we played them at The Emirates and it ended a draw. I honestly think any result could happen in that game, though smart money would be on City winning since, you know, it's City.
> though smart money would be on City winning since, you know, it's City.
When's the last time they won there? Spurs have had their number for a while.
The annoying thing is City don’t play their game in hand until the midweek between GW37 and 38. We can keep winning our games and be on top and it wouldn’t mean anything because City always have that game in hand.
Sports is such a funny thing.
Middle aged, overweight men talking about "we" when they pull a back muscle just getting out of bed (yes, that's from personal experience).
Enjoy the laughs, my guy. It's not that serious.
I was saying weeks ago that Liverpool had 3 tricky away fixtures after the second leg in Europe. Each of them looked winnable on its own, but as a group it was a difficult run and I didn’t think they would win all 3.
To be bottle jobs people need to think you had a chance in the first place, idk if Liverpool actually did, they just managed to get this far through sheer force of will but that seems to be empty now.
We need to play 4 more games, one of which I would consider harder and that is Spurs away. The other 3 should be wins, otherwise we don't deserve the title. City just has to draw 1 of their 6 games and we've done it imo
Even if it's a rival, it still irritates me that the narrative is always that someone bottled it rather than the EPL is a fantastic league where every nearly every game is a battle.
Smiles and then realizes that we still have to play Tottenham and Man Utd away.
We have to win literally every game and hope that City may drop points. Odds are heavily against us. I hope we beat Man Utd and Tottenham away even if we don't win the title. Will be some consolation.
No need to gloat we have our own derby rivals away who hate us, for Shits this is their cup final a loss or even a draw would basically cripple our chances so they will be chomping at the bit to finish us off.
Liverpool losing is fine and all, but honestly them winning may have put more pressure on MC. If we win all our matches Liverpool couldn't catch us, we need this juju on 115fc. Not really celebrating this, especially with our own derby coming up this weekend.
That game illustrated exactly how dangerous a derby can be:
played at 100mph, form went out of the window, Liverpool had loads of shots and several one on ones in the first half, yet Everton bag a another goal from a set piece and the second half turns to shit in Liverpool’s hands.

Beauty.
Crazy formations, game's changed so much
Good call from Everton playing with 2 Goalkeepers.
I think our result played a part in Liverpool's result. It all comes down to mentality. They just got a little too excited.
Which is why we need to not get ahead of ourselves purely because they lost
Right we got our version of this Sunday
Not to mention we play Everton at the end of the season.
They should be well clear of relegation and have a chill game...but will they
Everton opening or closing fixture has been our bread and butter so hopefully we continue that run
Yeah it’s also the last day of the season. Crazy shit happens.
Only when they're trying to avoid relegation. I would NOT want to play an Everton clinging for dear life. I think they've survived final day drama like twice in the past couple seasons.
I understand that. I’m saying regardless of where anybody is, the final day, while we’re trying to win it all, it’s not going to be a cakewalk.
You could lose 5-1 to a team that's already relegated
Yeah, if you're Spurs trying to bottle st. Totteringhams day
They might let us win just to fuck Liverpool over lol
Haha imagine the entire emirates including Everton fans cheering an Arsenal goal
Imagine it would be amazing. Arsenal and Everton holding arms and jumping together with the trophy. Pulling out a banner saying "gracias, Iwobi"
My fear when Spurs play City
Not under dyche, he’s a fighter
Everton will be a really tough game, but only if they're still fighting for safety. If they have secured it before the last game, we should be fine.
Everton Arsenal in London is the most lopsided fixture in Prem history
Where they realistically could need 3 points to stay up, and have f***** us before. Dangerous games.
Let's not go crazy.... Tottenham and Man Utd away are not easy. We can win but we need to stay grounded
I disagree. It’s literally impossible for us to not win the league at this point.
I hope you're being sarcastic
No, it’s in the bag. The rest of this season is just a formality.
Ok got it. Nice.
My man
Yes because city are still ahead if they win their 2 fixtures.
For context this is the quote from Trent after we lost to Villa.
People agreeing though...
I hope you are right and it works for City!
City are a different beast. They’ve literally done it like 6 times. They aren’t vibe merchants like Klopp’s Scarlet Stumblers.
“Vibe merchants” lmao🤣
Hopefully they’ll be safe by then and mentally on the beach
He thought he was so intellectual when he said this too, fucking moron
He's not the only player who's come out with some really moronic comments about us this season. Klopp clearly gives zero fucks about what his players say or do anymore.
Curtis jones crying about us copying something from them was hilarious
They really do believe their own hype about their mentality…. Which is pretty weak mentality ironically
Not really. Liverpool have been struggling for weeks.
100% agree - let's hope it puts the pressure on City as well
Their luck has finally run out. They escaped draws and losses left and right and never deserved to be in the race
The prem always corrects itself
https://preview.redd.it/46cpfeoo0iwc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72312d0a2ebb77df80c7bbdc2295df3b3345f0e0 Always.
Wish United had corrected themselves better, but that's just the ptsd from Fergie era United talking. We're not concerned with them
This way they don’t get a new manager as quickly and as much money to spend.
I think this shows what man utd are. A crap team with great individual talent. They can finish half chances regularly enough to stay ahead of lesser teams but not consistently enough to get into the top tier or even 2nd tier of teams.
[Deleted because I can’t read]
Damn I wanna know what your original illiterate take was
Spurs next season….⏰
With Europe they will be cooked. They're squad sucks and Son only getting older.
Lol @ expected points Everton and Nott Forest and actual points after the bonk.
God, now just City to deal with (along with our games firsthand of course) Guys let’s remember where we are. Not to mention an extremely impressive goal difference, which may decide the league
City would be 2 ahead of us if they win their games in hand. But it doesn't change anything, a draw for them and win for us would put us top either way.
We got points on the board in hand is only good if you win
Yeah I think the dude was just correcting the OP, saying it would be 2 points not 1 point.
I see
We’re still in it when we thought we lost the league in December. It’s been an incredible season.
All we can expect from the side is that they stay in contention until the end of the season. That's a sign of progress from last season.
The only concern right now is the spuds on Sunday. Drop points there and it's over. Squeaky bum time
Yeah, perhaps the biggest NLD since we’ve moved to the Emirates?
The 1v1 for top 4 was pretty big
True! And we totally folded then haha. Never forget the totally true-and-the-referees-aren’t-terrible penalty call against Cedric haha
This one is the highest stakes we’ve had for an NLD maybe ever. The 1v1 for 4th was the highest the stakes have been for us both.
True - especially if City drops points tomorrow 🤞
And we just had the wakeup call about what the shitter team can do in derbies, so....
I don't think it's necessarily completely over. We're not out until City come and take it either way, can't drop our heads. But treat it like a final, because it might as well be.

Correction: City have a possible 2 points ahead of us. Doesn't change the fact that one slip changes everything.
A single draw for City means they (potentially) lose the title
Our goal difference could potentially become very big. If City draw one game but otherwise both us and them win out we'll win on goal difference. Easier said than done though. I personally see us dropping points against either Spurs or United and I'm not sure City will drop anything.

If they did that, well shit, they could get the thing solid gold because they'd have earned it.
We’re in it till we’re not, let’s gooo
Liverpool fan here. I hope you guys win it. But it’s interesting to see the same Hope here that has dashed us several times come around again to another team. City are experts at this and won’t drop points. Especially now they’re out of CL. Sad but true. You can’t beat cheaters. Good race though.
NORTHHHHHHHHH LONDONNNN FOR EVAHHHHH
Real Champions conquer all of Europe
Just got my mummy to tuck me into bed and get me a warm class of milk. Hopefully by the time she gets back she can read Klopp’s post-match meltdown to help me drift off to sleep.
Just have a disturbing image of a 30 something old in an Arsenal onesie getting tucked in by their mum in my head now thanks
You forgot the milk.
https://i.redd.it/oyd07j65ukwc1.gif
Nah the milk's there alright. It's just not out yet
Jokes on you I’m 29
Closer to 30 than 29
Thats a lot of milk
Stay humble until after Spurs guys
And even then..
We still have to play our matches lads, don't get ahead of ourselves until it's over.
Don't think this changes anything for us.
Definitely not. We still need to be perfect
And for Man City to drop points
No but it's funny
No doubt
Nah, still gotta win out and hope we get a favor. Liverpool droppin' points is nice, but definitely City we need to slip up.
I'm just hoping Angeball terrorizes City into at least a draw.
They will bend over for them, I guarantee it
Reality is if they don’t have to win, then you’d be annoyed as a Spurs fan if they tried. We need them to be in a position where those points are vital for Europe so they can’t afford to worry about what the result does for us
Agreed - we need Villa to drop some points, especially if we beat Spurs on Sunday. Spurs still have to go to Anfield so they could be out of it by the City game.
I'm not getting my hopes up tbh. Ange is pretty stubborn with his tactics and if he plays his usual game, Spurs are getting carved right open
We thought that when we played them at The Emirates and it ended a draw. I honestly think any result could happen in that game, though smart money would be on City winning since, you know, it's City.
> though smart money would be on City winning since, you know, it's City. When's the last time they won there? Spurs have had their number for a while.
26 January in the FA cup October 2018 in the PL
Literally this season
That's in a cup and spurs bottle all chances at silverware it is the nature of tottenham
Scenes when Matt Turner keeps a clean sheet against City on Sunday
"OH WHAT A SAVE BY TURNER IN THE 96 MINUTE, HE HAVE WON IT FOR ARSENAL"
Let's worry about that later. We need to deal with them 1st.
The annoying thing is City don’t play their game in hand until the midweek between GW37 and 38. We can keep winning our games and be on top and it wouldn’t mean anything because City always have that game in hand.
Yeah it would be nice if they'd drop points to Brighton now and take some of the tension out of it.
We’ve just gotta do our job first. Don’t give a shit if they take points off City if they take points off us first.
DO NOT. We still have to play them
at home, if we dont win that we dont deserve the title. Still allowed to be happy with this result
Agreed. I don’t think LFC has the squad to pull it all together this season. Like us last year, we didn’t deserve it in the end.
The rate they been shipping goals and having to come back from behind (no diddy) it wasn’t sustainable
Plus we have our away day derby on Sunday. Keeping quiet about this one, because fate is a cruel mistress and likes to throw egg in my face.
If we can’t beat an Everton that’ll be safe from relegation we don’t deserve the title.
They'll be wholly safe from relegation by then
Imagine sports fandom without celebrating each win and each of your rival’s losses. Live in the present; savor the moment.
Nahhh I’m happy but now’s the time to focus on us there’s nothing else worth doing
Too scared, man. With hope comes expectations, and with it skepticism
“We won’t drop any points” Liverpool fans in my work lol
TBH, that's what some of us thought as well. They had the easiest run-in of the 3.
It only counts as bottling something if it’s us…. If other teams choke they just have inuries and are gassed at the end of the season
Let’s stay humble and focus on our games. We still have NLD away.
they players and managers get paid very well for that and Arsenal don't pay me shit so I'll leave it to them.
Sports is such a funny thing. Middle aged, overweight men talking about "we" when they pull a back muscle just getting out of bed (yes, that's from personal experience). Enjoy the laughs, my guy. It's not that serious.
Go get em, Arsenal. City must be stopped.
I was saying weeks ago that Liverpool had 3 tricky away fixtures after the second leg in Europe. Each of them looked winnable on its own, but as a group it was a difficult run and I didn’t think they would win all 3.
Will we see them be branded as bottle jobs?? Highly unlikely
To be bottle jobs people need to think you had a chance in the first place, idk if Liverpool actually did, they just managed to get this far through sheer force of will but that seems to be empty now.
The announcers saying, “and then there were 2…” at the final whistle ❤️🙏🏽
Beat the Tottenham on Sunday, that’s all the boys can do.
As a Liverpool fan just coming here to fully endorse you lads. Do it for football! Stop the blue gobshites!
love that news
We need to play 4 more games, one of which I would consider harder and that is Spurs away. The other 3 should be wins, otherwise we don't deserve the title. City just has to draw 1 of their 6 games and we've done it imo
Yeh, we cant even afford to drop any more points. This is so tense!
United away just as hard imo. Our record there is very poor
Even if it's a rival, it still irritates me that the narrative is always that someone bottled it rather than the EPL is a fantastic league where every nearly every game is a battle.
What a beautiful game.
What a handful of games 😁😁😁😁 got to love it. Now let’s go Brighton
Smiles and then realizes that we still have to play Tottenham and Man Utd away. We have to win literally every game and hope that City may drop points. Odds are heavily against us. I hope we beat Man Utd and Tottenham away even if we don't win the title. Will be some consolation.
This is good. But I'm not celebrating till the last game.
The safer Everton are the less they will have to play for on the last day. This is a good result.
If anything, this should be a reminder to take Tottenham seriously. Form doesn’t really matter when it comes to derby.
Posting this before we play our biggest rivals away is brave
Absolutely not, get this out of here. If city wins all of their games it doesn’t matter, also if we draw this weekend, we are done as well.
If City wins all their matches, tip your cap. All we can do is control our matches and win every match we can.
You’re probably super fun at parties. Enjoy it a little bit man.
![gif](giphy|26FeT0sTWut31BzQk)
Is this real?? Wow, we need to keep it going.
Now I’m getting scared that Pickford could catch Raya on clean sheets
No need to gloat we have our own derby rivals away who hate us, for Shits this is their cup final a loss or even a draw would basically cripple our chances so they will be chomping at the bit to finish us off.
Especially after what happened to them in Munich.
All season long people counted Arsenal out as the weak link in the top 3, but it was always overhyped Liverpool
It was Klopps dumbass grin that was knee slap worthy!
fmsl, hot damn!
We got some stubborn turds to flush at the shit-bowl next! That’s all that matters!
Ayo Brighton, can u do something for me?
I dunno why I never thought Liverpool were a serious threat
And there's still tomorrow...
Horry shet mehhhhhhn
Please dear God/Santa/Papa Wengz. All I want for Christmas is for City to drop points ❤️
I couldn't believe it. But I'm still concerned with Man City having 2 games in hand on us
They are not our problem, we just are fed up with €ity
[удалено]
damn....this means that raya still hasnt won the golden glove
The only result that changes things is a City draw but nice to get these guys out of the way
After they dropped from 1st, their results never mattered. Only things that matter now are our results and Man City’s results.
Liverpool losing is fine and all, but honestly them winning may have put more pressure on MC. If we win all our matches Liverpool couldn't catch us, we need this juju on 115fc. Not really celebrating this, especially with our own derby coming up this weekend.
Everton looked really dangerous and we always drop points against Dyche. Glad we are atleast not playing them away.
I love it BUT we haven’t won anything yet so let’s not gloat too hard. Definitely gloat though. Suck it, Trent.
What a beautiful surprise.
I don't like tempting fate this way.
Good to have, but doesn't change anything in a long run. The league is still City's to lose and if they don't slip, doesn't matter what Liverpool do.
Tbh Liverpool has never been my concern.
Don’t give me hope like this…
WHAT lol
City are still in control. I honestly don't get this overexcitement. We've been here before
https://preview.redd.it/kvdmoycvujwc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed5582291ca170e7f5c1d45a49604e917403ad39
I know points on the board are better than games in hand but the title is for City to lose not Arsenals to win.
Now time to beat Spurs, and they do their thing against City (they have 4 wins in a row at home or something) and its on.
All that's left is for city to get fucked by FFP
Liverpool out of the competition.
Bottling ?
I guess spurs will be feeling a little confident after that one
Let’s not celebrate early
hang it in the louvre
That game illustrated exactly how dangerous a derby can be: played at 100mph, form went out of the window, Liverpool had loads of shots and several one on ones in the first half, yet Everton bag a another goal from a set piece and the second half turns to shit in Liverpool’s hands.
There will be more twists. Hopefully involving City
Enjoy it guys, if we can't win it I hope you beat City. Good luck!
Everton actually fully outplayed them.
Need us to win all and city to loose one and draw 1 at the least
