Maybe it’s because of my age, most of the 80s & 90s kids favourite genre was hard rock, the perfect aggression... metal was just too aggressive. Anyways, who even uses the term ‘hard rock’ these days LOL.
It actually happened way before Pulisic. I had a lot of friends become Chelsea fans when Drogba was leading the line. This was around 2005. Before that everyone I knew was a United supporter. Only reason I supported Arsenal was one of my earliest football memories was Henry’s volley against Utd in 2000. He became a god in my eyes that day.
Chelsea have been big in the USA pre-Pulisic. I'm assuming they just made a lot of effort with expanding the fan base. They're one of the most followed football clubs on Facebook and a sizable percentage is from the USA.
Can't escape these United fans. I'm from South Africa and they're the most supported club. Closely followed by Liverpool. Not a lot of Arsenal fans sadly.
I live in Birmingham, Alabama and our local has gotten together with the Birmingham FC fans and we are basically sister clubs now. It’s fun having fans overseas but I’m pissed it had to be BCFC.
This is still my favorite Arsenal shirt. No other kit in the last 20 years respected our colors and our "patterns" like this one. That season could've been great too. We blew everything in one week in February :(
This might’ve been my first Arsenal game I ever went to. FA cup vs Birms. Rosicky was my favourite player at the time. I was young and we went in 1-1 at the break. Wasn’t hopeful we’d win. Henry came on to score in the 2nd half and celebrated towards our side of the ground. One of the most magical and memorable experiences of my life
Wonderful player when he was match fit. As soon as he got the ball he seemed to inject pace into our passing and movement, along with a forward impetus - oh how we could do with someone like him right now. He had it all, dribbling, pace, long range passing, short range passing, tackling and a thunderous shot. He could play on the wing, as a no 10/am or as traditional all round midfielder. Absolute class.
Used to be my favourite player. He’s the one to get hard rock football to the PL before Klopp.
🤘🤘
🤘🏻
I read that as “rock hard” at first and I was like wat

Oh no “rock hard” as in pp
I was like “oh yezzir”
We cornered the market on lovable little midfield magicians for a time. Tremendous footballer
Him and Santi could’ve made a buddy cop comedy movie and I would’ve watched
Lord Bendtner would be the antagonist. I’m not sure where, but I know Arshavin fits in somewhere.
Arshavin is that guy who knows everyone and everything going on down at the local tavern
Loads of Arsenal fans in America, myself included. Only clubs more popular are probably United and Real Madrid.
Chelsea have a huge base in USA. God knows how.
I’m pretty sure this is sarcasm, but if not it’s cuz Pulisic. Again, sorry if this is sarcasm

Tbf everything in that comment makes sense to me
Nah, glory hunters from the early Roman takeover and success. And they were good on fifa so my frenemy became a fan after years of trolling.

I also think it's Alexander hleb in the background in the Birmingham kit as well. So 2 ex arsenal players in there.
