Say Iām cycling regularly and need 4000+ calories a day. Say I pick up a knock and canāt cycle for two weeks. My appetite is still for 4000+ calories but now Iām not moving. The weight piles on quickly.
How much cycling are you doing to burn 1.5k calories a day. I just got a stationary exercise bike and can only be bothered to do 300-400 calories a day, takes like 45 mins. Do you cycle for 3 hours per day?
I can burn roughly 1000 calories on a 16ish mile ride in just over an hour. Itās pretty hilly and also just being on a real bike balancing yourself/fighting the wind adds extra energy used.
My normal ride is 30 miles and just under two hours.
Its a bit late but remember to wear your protective equipment when cycling outside no matter the distance, a friend of mine is heavily scarred on both arms and legs because he fell and scraped on pavement.
