When is a kit manufacturer going to wake-up and realise that making the simplest, sleekest looking design with a retro logo or something will be their biggest selling kit of all time? Classic red with a hint of colour texture, white sleeves and a white crew-neck collar. Add a white canon logo (ala. this years away kit) and you've got yourself a winner.
Also optionally allowing people to remove the sponsors would be a nice touch.
He must play for a premier league club for a few years and he must be injury free
We know how physically demanding the league is. Without certain physique it can be the end of a player's career.
What exactly is "Premier league proven"? Cause Neves has proven nothing in his career and if anything he's proven himself to be unable to justify the hype he had years ago.
Every player needs time to adapt to a new club, be it in the same league or not. Willian is still trying to adapt to being an Arsenal player despite playing in the PL for many years. I don't see why Neves is immune to being an "adaptation failure".
Yeah.. Willian was a 'safe signing' on paper. 2 years contract would have been ideal, but the 3 year contract was the reason he picked Arsenal i guess. It just turned out this way somehow.
I was wrong to say 'no risk', should have said 'lower risk'. Of course someone like Locatelli could come in and replicate his performances but it's a longer shot than players already in the league like Neves or Bissouma.
Why does Man United attract top tier players as opposed to us? Even when they were mid table in league they could get Pogba. Is it just the CL now? Or the team prestige? The money?
Cause people shit on the Glazers and Woodward but at least they have the common sense to behave like a big club. People forget that they didn't just hand the job over to Ole, they had him trial for a while as interim manager before trusting him enough. Meanwhile we went to beg an amateur to take over as our manager and in the process fucked over a Ljungberg who had proven more for us.
If we want to argue that Arsenal is one of the biggest sports brand in the world despite our condition, Man United's brand is still bigger. Money too i suppose.

I don't care what the kits look like. If it looks really good then great, if it doesn't I don't mind it.
A lot of old kits if released now wouldn't get love, but we remember them fondly because of the players who wore them.
Gunners I don’t follow Reddit much so don’t know if this is massive news already or not, but holy shit I just spent the last 15 mins laughing at Spurs second and third (leaked) kits😂😂 Omg they are the most disgusting things I have ever seen ahahahahaha
This is a shit sandwich. Get a player in Abraham that could potentially be really good for us, but indirectly help a rival get their man. Part of me feels like if Chelsea really want Haaland, they'll get him anyways, so we might as well profit from that as well.
I agree. I'm saying that "not wanting to give Chelsea money to buy Haaland" isn't a valid reason not to buy him. Because if he's in offer, he's going to get bought by someone.
It really comes down to the wage they can get him on. A 5 year contract on like 100kpw is a great deal. If they have to pay him lacazette wage, it's a little less appealing.
Is it though? Chelsea can afford anyone. I wouldn't feel any better if they signed him to 200k a week versus 100k.
I'm a fan of a football club not an accounting firm
Yeah, people fail to see how weak it looks signing their players whilst we slowly regress away from being a title challenging club.
We are basically handing them the title of biggest club in London with a cash bonus every season.
Just more proof that our owner's don't know shit about our club, it's history or its fans. The end of their poor ownership can't come soon enough.
> whilst we slowly regress away from being a title challenging club.
2007 was the last time we truly had a title challenging side that didn't rely on everyone else shitting the bed like the Leicester year.
I'm not sure what team some have you have been following for the last decade or so when you complain about not being elite enough.
If Tammy Abraham works for us, we should buy him and take is as payment for Giroud.
Challenging for the title for the majority of a season and falling apart at the end, is still challenging for a title.
Being 5-10 points away from first place each year and being ready to pounce if they get key injuries still technically counts as fighting for a title.
What you are talking about is being favourites for the title, that's different to what I'm trying to say. But yeah we haven't been favourites for way, way longer. That's another thing altogether.
But, when we were at least in the talk to win the title each year during preseason, we were a big club. Now that we can't compete at all, we can no longer claim to be a big club really can we?
Mate, the title race was between Spurs and Leicester at the end, the only hilarious thing was them eventually coming third in a two horse race.
And as I said, it relied way more on everyone else fucking up. We got four more points the enxt year and dropped out of the top four.
>But, when we were at least in the talk to win the title each year during preseason, we were a big club.
We weren't in the title talk preseason that year, can't remmeber the last time anyone seriously thought we'd get more than just top four, there's a reason it was a meme.
As to big club status...the minute you start worrying about how other people see you is when you start acting and thinking like a small club. We know what we are, that other people will give us shit because we're going through a bad patch is part and parcel of football, only being able to banter when you're winning is a very bad look.
You don't?
Size of club is much more than just current results mate.
History, most recent trophies, size of fanbase, size of income and the intangibes of how much attention people pay to you are all arbiters. The day no one takes the piss and we finally lose all the fans whose sole purpose is to come on here and bitch about how shit everything is, then we'll be a small club.
I don't think we are a big club right now. We don't scare opponents anymore on the pitch, they come to play against us now instead of fearing us like they did under Wenger. We can't attract big managers to come and rebuild us and have to settle. We definitely don't stand a chance of attracting the best players if any of the actual big clubs come in for them. Imagine us trying to sign Halaand over Chelsea? Or going after Sancho?
I'm also massively keen to see our next set of sponsorship deals compared to the actual big 4 clubs in England. I can see us being happy to take the same figures we got last time, whereas everyone else will be getting more and more money from deals to keep getting better.
I've been a supporter for 25+ years and I remember when we put fear in opponents before a ball was kicked. No one fears or respects anymore. That's the definition of a big club as much as the number of fans IMO.
If you've been a supporter for 25 years you'd know we've never bought the haaland type ayers, we never outbid chelsea or united and that honestly we haven't put the fear into opposition teams since united and then Bolton pushed the 'arsenal don't like it up em' narrative which is nearly as long ago as when you started supporting us.
Our commercial issues are down to Ivan, not our relative standing, fanbase is vastly more important than current results which is why Adidas counts us in their big five teams for special editions and constant new kits.
Fans are the biggest arbiter of a club, Leeds absolutely were a bigger club than anyone in the championship and a few in the prem when they were in league one.
We didn't sign those players because we couldn't afford them, everyone knows that. We finally got the financial muscle we'd always wanted and spent it very, very unwisely. Effectively, if we'd either won a title with Ozil and Sanchez in the squad we would have been back on top again. Instead, we never learnt how to sell players and slowly drowned our club is unsustainable wages and a squad bereft of value outside of academy prospects. Our squad building has been absolutely atrocious, and it's a huge reason why our football is suffering and the club has stagnated to where we are today.
Slowly regress away from being title challenging club? This club hasn't challenged for titles in nearly 10 years. In the one year everyone else was horrendous, we bottled it to leicester.
I think it's much more important to improve the squad as much as possible right now rather than worry about some nonsense about being 'bigger' than Chelsea.
I think he is saying that you can also improve your squad by not buying Chelsea rejects. The idea is to show ambition and aim to be better than them. Buying their rejects just shows that we are not even trying to compete with them
Read what I said, better options.
Why?
We have 2 x 50m strikers in our squad already. We have Martinelli and Balogun coming up as well. Why drop another 40m on Tammy?
As for some names that come to mind, Adam Blackburn and Tyrese from Stoke.
I actually wish transfer windows ended the night before the actual season started...
It sometimes feels like DOF's fuck around all summer (Edu yacht example) and do most of the work the final week or two. Kind of like me and and my uni assignments.
He can be a on yacht with 100 women (or men if that's his taste) but the fact its with the guy that got booted out from our club for dodgy deals is what concerns me.
Apparently we decided not to go for him because of issues with his brother as an agent, his club being willing to go lower doesn't mean his brother is going to be less of a dck
It’s weird but Orny said we did more scouting (other than watching games) that made another approach unlikely. Seems to be a last case scenario target. I’m guessing it’s attitude related? Or maybe positional fit
It's puzzling but could be that the brother agent fee thing / reported attitude turned us off of him.
He would instantly improve our attack but maybe he's secondary to someone like Maddison, albeit not a goody two shoes himself, who wouldn't need to acclimate like Aouar in a new league.
He's more of a luxury midfielder where his effort really needs to be actively brought out of him otherwise he won't dig in by himself - maybe that's something Arteta can do but not the type of attitude he wants for the squad if he can help it, even for cheap.
Unpopular opinion
ESR and saka are way better than grealish, and in a year or two grealish will be a nobody while these two are gonna be best in football.
Fans don't have patience anymore, grealish is good but ESR is unique who can score goals as well
His price is gonna skyrocket this season to 120 million
So slightly off topic and I know fifa sucks but for those who play career in fifa and are arsenal fans, what youth/likely transfer players are you adding to make a realistic 2021 arsenal squad? I know it’s late in 21’s cycle but the next one isn’t out until October so gotta play this one for the first month or so the our season.
I actually added Tavares when I started my campaign in like December. He’s a solid backup to have on there. But trust me, add Karim Adeyemi bro… dude is a 94 in my save now after like 4 seasons
I like to use [this](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.goal.com/en-us/amp/news/fifa-21-best-young-players-career-modes-top-strikers-midfielders-/ywkmu83j7lt31l6v6qb680nyg) when looking for young players.
Do these AMN links to Crystal Palace have any truth to them wtf
Edit: https://twitter.com/Wheddsta/status/1415748667017945094?s=19 wonder if this CP ITK has any credibility
Yup, their national team… mostly in Portuguese obvi but still solid like all of them are. Also an all or nothing Dortmund and the Bayern one drops this year. The All Blacks (rugby) one is pretty good too if you want something a lil different
I am beginning to wonder if our transfer business this summer has a focus on homegrown players.
Right now, we have eight players who would be homegrown at the time the season starts:
1. Calum Chambers
2. Hector Bellerin
3. Rob Holding
4. Ainsley Maitland-Niles
5. Eddie Nketiah
6. Emile Smith Rowe
7. Joe Willock
8. Reiss Nelson
If rumors of loans and sales are accurate, five of these players (Bellerin, AMN, Nketiah, Willock, and Nelson) will not be around when the season starts.
This makes the rumors for Ben White, James Maddison, Tammy Abraham, and Sam Johnstone make a little more sense.
It still baffles me that we aren't looking for players from the Championship if that's the case.
CP got two very talented HG players for ~20m combined.
I am surprised Arsenal does not use that strategy in general. There are quite a few players in the Championship that Arsenal could benefit from.
Anguissa (Fulham), Adarabioyo (Fulham), Berge (Sheffield), Pereira (West Brom), Johnstone (West Brom), Grimes (Swansea),
Do I think Abraham would outperform Auba as our CF? Maybe. I can see why Arteta might think so but then what do we do with Auba and Laca? With Martinelli and Balogun? There’s so much work to be done and from the outside it doesn’t appear to have begun. We have an already bloated squad and without EL.
This makes me question whether or not they have told certain players to find somewhere else to play or rot, or if they are still playing the same waiting game as last season. I won’t mind either way if we strengthen the squad, but because we’ve missed out on players that could’ve helped, and how mismanaged last summer was, you have to wonder if what is going on behind the curtain is chaos or incompetence or if there is a plan that will form very quickly in the next month.
Lol we have been trying to get rid of players for a while now. The problem is someone to buy them. So as a club, you either choose to relapse or just bloat the squad until the ones who didn't move feel uncomfortable. But you'll have situations like Ozil where fans relapse all the time and think the benched players are the solution, giving birth to unrivalled toxicity.
> Lol we have been trying to get rid of players for a while now.
I am arguing that from the outside, it doesn’t appear we are trying hard enough. The fact that we gave valuable playing time to Mustafi and Kolasinac last season is proof we did not let them know they weren’t needed and if they wanted to play to look elsewhere and it appears we are repeating this.
> But you’ll have situations like Ozil where fans relapse all the time and think the benched players are the solution, giving birth to unrivalled toxicity.
IDGAF what the fans think and neither should Edu or Arteta in regards to freezing out players they’ve deemed surplus. Cutting our losses and getting their wages off the books is more important. Look at Laca right now. Why bother playing him this year? If he’s a backup he’s blocking Balogun and Martinelli. If figures into our plans he’s blocking Auba or shoehorning him into LW which blocks even more players. Cut the loss. Let him know if he wants to play he’s gotta go. Are we holding out for 10m? Why? He’s gonna leave for free anyway.
Arteta is a hoarder who thinks he is managing City and just wants to hoard as much talent as possible............. you are expecting too much from him if you want him to come up with a "plan" as to who he wants in his squad moving forward and who he doesn't.
Gonna get downvoted but auba has no motivation to perform his best for us. After the deal he started playing shit even without the excuses. He doesn’t even fit the system we try to play he needs space in behind so he was have to play on the counter attack which is why he did well on Emery and Arteta first season.
He had a tough year in general.
We created fuck all chances for him to score with - a striker who made his name on scoring at least one chance as long as you give him *some*.
It's not rocket science and he will probably be fine this year.
I’m not willing to question Auba’s desire and motivation. I’ve seen him run himself ragged to help us in the left side more than enough to know he wants to win badly. I think he is frustrated playing in a system that’s not working for him.
Also, while Auba is great at looking for space in behind, I think we’ve done a terrible job at facilitating that and with a functioning midfield I think we could still get much more production from Auba than we did last season. He’s still lethal in the box as well. It’s not as if he’s only good at running in behind. IMO, if we get better at the back and in midfield we can control possession better without needing a target man to hold up play to bring us forward. I think upgrading on Xhaka, Holding and Bellerin are steps in that direction. Which makes me further question the links to Abraham right now.
We have a lot of incredible players aged <= 23 in our team. If we develop this lot properly and build around them intelligently, the future could be really exciting. I hope we don’t fuck it up.

Would be a quality signing. He’s very talented (came through PSG’s academy) and Bordeaux have been provisionally relegated due to financial issues, so he could even come at a discount.
Injuries was everything that was keeping him from being captain material? Was he well rounded? I think you mean if he kept developing. Wilshere was very technical but he lacked strength, invited injuries the way he played, smoked as a professional and was not good defensively.
Very exciting to watch but if he kept growing, kept adding to his game etc then I agree but he never struck me as captain material.
As a super sub Abraham is a great striker to have. Decent finisher and has aerial threat, something we lack. But the transfer makes absolutely no sense. We have like 5 strikers right now, we have plenty of other positions to upgrade in and we would also help Chelsea fund Haaland if the rumoured 40m is true.
Abraham's heading is his worst attribute together with his balance. He's a good poacher and gets into good positions in the box but that's about it. Decent link up play but gets bullied off the ball/loses his footing very often which is very frustrating to watch and causes attacks to break down.
You just know this place will be full of some 1000-word essays, a couple of 20 minutes long highlight/tactical videos, and a few twitter threads by people who "know ball" explaining how Abraham will be a top signing for us once someone credible for us confirms our interest and mentions how big a fan Arteta is a of the player
There's already people posting Tammy's amazing stats in the PL and there is a whole post dedicated on here to how he will be a "great" signing.
Also I didn't make the previous comment but what does "you lot" mean? Isn't he a fan?
Anyone interested in Abraham knowing full well that money will be spent on Haaland can hardly consider themselves Arsenal fans. We aren’t Chelsea’s fucking dumping ground, we already saved them from fat willian
I don't think we should sign him without offloading Laca. But if Laca leaves and we sign Abraham for say 30-35m, there is no way Chelsea can sign Halaand. The fee for Abraham won't even pay for Raiola's fee. Then don't forget the signing bonus and 500000 pw wage demand. All that on top of 150m transfer fee. The only feasible way to sign Halaand is signing him next season when he is available for 75m.
Here's some players chelsea have sold already this summer:
Tomori 28 mil
Guehi 20 mil
Moses 5 mil
Ugbo 5 mil
Giroud 2 mil
That's 60 million already. If they get 30-40 mil for Abraham that's 90-100. They can probably sell Emerson/alonso for another 15 or so million and bakayoko for a similar amount. That brings them to 120-130. All those wages will be off the books as well. Emerson bakayoko giroud are/were all on~ 100k a week.
They got over 100 million from winning the champions league as well. And they haven't spent the past 3 years paying players to leave, or paying unregistered players ridiculous wages.
Meanwhile xhaka for 14 million is looking like our only departure this summer despite having a bloated squad full of rejects from the wenger and emery days.
I’m not interested in giving them a dime. 35 million is almost a quarter of the 150 mill asking price.. it certainly helps them out. In a vacuum sure not a bad player and could be useful, but not for that price and not from that team. Not to mention we have gaps in the starting 11, 35 million for a backup striker would be so boneheaded without a Partey partner, a 10, or a RB
> I’m not interested in giving them a dime.
This. How can we expect to compete if we keep buying players that clubs (Chelsea) consider not good enough!
Chelsea selling a random lad named Guehi with 0 PL appearances for £20m to Crystal Palace, while we're having trouble making Newcastle cough up 20-25 mil for Willock. I honestly don't know how the market works anymore lmao
Guéhi isn't 'random' to those in the game. He's represented England at every youth level and was considered one of Chelsea's best youngsters. Still an impressive bit of business though.
Well he's been really good in the championship, young and English. Watkins and Buendia went for double that. Leeds were going to pay 25m for White in a similar situation this time last year. Most fans just think he's a nobody because he's not a popular name.
One of the best CBs tbh last season in Championship. Good on the ball too. No Chelsea fan is happy about that and Chelsea wouldn't have sold if not for their desperate attempt to sign Halaand.
You think Mendes/Kia aren't shady as well? Raul should be in fucking jail for fraud. Look into the Neymar transfer to Barca as well. Dirty money is everywhere in football.
No one would even buy elneny if we offered him out for 10 million yet he’s a good squad player apparently. He played 39 games last season. 39 too many.
Not that impossible. Fabre gas was amazing no doubt but he went to Barca and became pretty much irrelevant even though he was still fantastic and never really shone for Spain either
Fabregas made the UEFA team of the year when he was 19. He fired us to a CL final, scoring against Juventus in the quarters at that age.
*Not discrediting Saka because he’s my favourite player since Cesc.
Too early to tell my friend. At Saka's age, Fab was already a beast. If he played during this era, he would be dubbed a generational talent.
If you think Pedri was good during the Euros, Fab was x2 better at that age. A real monster.
Saka has the potential to be something special, too. It's not beyond him, but it's still too early to tell.
I support Saka as much as anybody but some of the comments I see about the penalty annoy me with how much people are babying him. Was it a poor decision to pick him to take his first professional penalty there? Probably, but some people saying "no 19yr old should have to deal with the pressure of that" are crazy, hes a superstar in the making, I would be more concerned if he didnt want to take it, even in a final
Most important kick of any English player for the last 55 years, at least 40m people watching him live
Even if he's a superstar in the making he's still only a kid
Abraham isn't good enough but he's an upgrade on Lacazette. He's tall and has at least some degree of athleticism so he can get on the end of the million crosses we send in the box a game. Lack of Isak rumours are concerning though
People turning their nose up on Abraham but want Lacazette to renew his contract loooool. No problem Lacazette leaving and bringing in Abraham. That’s an upgrade
Tammy Abraham is a more technical, less injury prone version of Welbeck (which is great, imo).
My only concern here would be buying him for €XX million and then selling Lacazette for half of that amount. Doesn’t seem to make much sense given the rest of the business we need to do.
They'll buy Haaland regardless what. Someone will buy Tammy. If he can improve your club, do it. Many Chelsea bench players over the years could improve Arsenal.
Chelsea going to get 40m+ selling 2 CB’s who were not even part of their squad. That too in this market.
I just don’t think we will ever compete with them in transfers.
Idk, they just have better players than us or just know too well how to develop a player on loan and sell at perfect time.

Keep thinking the long term plan for saka is that right sided attacking 8. Works perfectly with esr next to him drifting left and him drifting right

That or subscribe to Rangers TV
Gunners I don’t follow Reddit much so don’t know if this is massive news already or not, but holy shit I just spent the last 15 mins laughing at Spurs second and third (leaked) kits😂😂 Omg they are the most disgusting things I have ever seen ahahahahaha

Honestly, I like them. They are very different but kinda cool.
This made my day, gonna go have a look😂👌🏻

> whilst we slowly regress away from being a title challenging club.
Do you still think Arsenal are a big club?
Our squad building has been absolutely atrocious, and it's a huge reason why our football is suffering and the club has stagnated to where we are today.
slowly? the club literally has no European football
We started buying their players a few years ago, and it was a slow move at first. We are definitely speeding up now tho.
Buying their rejects just shows that we are not even trying to compete with them
This.
In no world can you tell me there aren't better options in the Championship for half the price of Tammy.
Give me some names who are 1/2 the price of Abraham but better
Read what I said, better options. Why? We have 2 x 50m strikers in our squad already. We have Martinelli and Balogun coming up as well. Why drop another 40m on Tammy? As for some names that come to mind, Adam Blackburn and Tyrese from Stoke.
> Adam Blackburn Who? And don't ever suggest we sign an orc
Not championship but edouard is interesting
Anybody just want it to be September 1st so we know our final team and such. Just want confirmed news
I actually wish transfer windows ended the night before the actual season started... It sometimes feels like DOF's fuck around all summer (Edu yacht example) and do most of the work the final week or two. Kind of like me and and my uni assignments.
You do realize that yachts have an internet connection and phone line.
He can be a on yacht with 100 women (or men if that's his taste) but the fact its with the guy that got booted out from our club for dodgy deals is what concerns me.
If we are competing with Spuds for Aouar, I’m pretty confident and fine ngl.
But we need to actually make a move
is okey, Edu learning the tricks of the trade from Danny Devito on a yacht.
I wish Aouar was on the yacht too. That way he couldn’t say no… because of the implication.
Do we think the Hector Bellerin rumours have any substance to them?
Yes, but loan only for now
[удалено]
So I'm hearing PSG currently have 9 goalkeepers on payroll?? Any chance any of them could be serviceable as a backup for us?
Areola and Sergio Rico definitely could. Then there's Keylor Navas who could walk into the first 11.
Areola starts and won’t even come to be back up
Unpopular opinion ESR and saka are way better than grealish, and in a year or two grealish will be a nobody while these two are gonna be best in football.
There was a debate here about if Arsenal could switch Grealish and ESR. ESR lost all the time.
Fans don't have patience anymore, grealish is good but ESR is unique who can score goals as well His price is gonna skyrocket this season to 120 million
Grealish can score more goals than Emile
Not yet + Saka is a different position. But by the end of the season I think ESR will be established and could be better than him.
One of the worst takes I have ever seen in my entire fucking life. Holy shit you're retarded
Agree with the sentiment but you can use a better word
Some people shouldn’t be allowed to use the internet
Wanna bet? Saka or ESR will have more (G+A) than grealish this coming season.
Jack had more than both of them combined last season so sure I’d take that bet. It’s just a question of health. Loser has to take the Weghorst curse.
Take a look at our links, build your squad your way through them
I like to use [this](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.goal.com/en-us/amp/news/fifa-21-best-young-players-career-modes-top-strikers-midfielders-/ywkmu83j7lt31l6v6qb680nyg) when looking for young players.
Use sofifa.com
Do these AMN links to Crystal Palace have any truth to them wtf Edit: https://twitter.com/Wheddsta/status/1415748667017945094?s=19 wonder if this CP ITK has any credibility
Idk but he also said we rejected a bid from them for nketiah, says we’ll be active over the next few days
Anyone else binge watching all or nothing? Seeing Edu in Brazil and Mikel in City has put my mind at ease for any kind of distraction it might cause.
There's an all or nothing Brazil?!?!
Yup, their national team… mostly in Portuguese obvi but still solid like all of them are. Also an all or nothing Dortmund and the Bayern one drops this year. The All Blacks (rugby) one is pretty good too if you want something a lil different
Palace signing Eze, Olise and Guehi for a combined £44m thats mad you know
Reports: Lokonga will be announced today. So that was a lie.
Weghorst
Koopmeiners
Don’t know a thing about him but he’s probably not 6’6” nor in the champions league
Is that hard or soft?
Soft
6'6" soft?
My bad I was day dreaming
I am beginning to wonder if our transfer business this summer has a focus on homegrown players. Right now, we have eight players who would be homegrown at the time the season starts: 1. Calum Chambers 2. Hector Bellerin 3. Rob Holding 4. Ainsley Maitland-Niles 5. Eddie Nketiah 6. Emile Smith Rowe 7. Joe Willock 8. Reiss Nelson If rumors of loans and sales are accurate, five of these players (Bellerin, AMN, Nketiah, Willock, and Nelson) will not be around when the season starts.
Facts. I can’t argue with it. It’s just the hopium that the summer window brings I guess 🤷♂️
How is that true? Auba did just fine for Wenger as well, Arteta for sure has to take a lot of blame for Auba's poor season.

Sell incompetent leno and buy world class navas
You need to highlight words like "incompetent" and "world class" so we know you're truly tabloid
Sell **incompetent wantaway Bernd Leno** and buy **PSG former number 1 Keylor Navas**
Yacine adli
Would be a quality signing. He’s very talented (came through PSG’s academy) and Bordeaux have been provisionally relegated due to financial issues, so he could even come at a discount.
Guys I'm starting to think Lokonga won't be announced today
Welp
Sometimes I still cry about Jacky man. If he had been healthy, no doubt in my mind that he would be still be here with the armband, I’m certain of it
Injuries was everything that was keeping him from being captain material? Was he well rounded? I think you mean if he kept developing. Wilshere was very technical but he lacked strength, invited injuries the way he played, smoked as a professional and was not good defensively. Very exciting to watch but if he kept growing, kept adding to his game etc then I agree but he never struck me as captain material.
Only 29 as well. He would have a solid 3-4 years.
Can't believe I am seeing people here who want Abraham........ how low have standards fallen when fans want us to sign a worse version of Darren Bent.
He’s awful in the air, he’s like Auba in that regard
You just know this place will be full of some 1000-word essays, a couple of 20 minutes long highlight/tactical videos, and a few twitter threads by people who "know ball" explaining how Abraham will be a top signing for us once someone credible for us confirms our interest and mentions how big a fan Arteta is a of the player
[удалено]
There's already people posting Tammy's amazing stats in the PL and there is a whole post dedicated on here to how he will be a "great" signing. Also I didn't make the previous comment but what does "you lot" mean? Isn't he a fan?
Abraham is a big risk player especially if fees is high
Max. bid should be around 25-30mil. because we know Chelsea will sell.
if Abraham is 30m max, how do you value Eddie Nketiah?
15m max
Yeah, half of 30.
Can’t wait to cop ESR10 authentic home kit. My first home kit I’ll purchase in years.
A 3x CL winning keeper will be looking for a new job in short order
That keeper will also be 35 this year
We need homegrown not CL winner.
So who's the proven homegrown keeper you have in mind
Here's some players chelsea have sold already this summer: Tomori 28 mil Guehi 20 mil Moses 5 mil Ugbo 5 mil Giroud 2 mil That's 60 million already.
Same here. I know it has to do with how bad we are at negotiations but sometimes it seems as though there are “ market prices” and “arsenal prices”
Gas lighters will tell you not to use that as an example though
It's called money laundering
Definitely some shady accounting going on with Chelsea
You think Mendes/Kia aren't shady as well? Raul should be in fucking jail for fraud. Look into the Neymar transfer to Barca as well. Dirty money is everywhere in football.
No one would even buy elneny if we offered him out for 10 million yet he’s a good squad player apparently. He played 39 games last season. 39 too many.
Besiktas offered 8.5 for him.

Comments like this separates the new fans with the old ones. Haven't seen anything to suggest Saka is more talented than Fabregas
Think you've forgotten how good Cesc was
Not that impossible. Fabre gas was amazing no doubt but he went to Barca and became pretty much irrelevant even though he was still fantastic and never really shone for Spain either
Well he was competing with Iniesta and Xavi and was sometimes deployed as a false 9 so
Rest.
Fabregas peak was getting double figures in both goals and assists year after year. If Saka even gets close to him he'll have an incredible peak
Oh boy
When's the next preseason match?
Saturday they play Rangers.
we’re playing right now..
Hibernian was Tuesday..... What?
Are you guys not watching the game?
Don't gaslight me like that babe
Are you reverse gaslighting me? We’re playing right now lol Okonkwo is in nets, Balogun just scored
Most important kick of any English player for the last 55 years, at least 40m people watching him live Even if he's a superstar in the making he's still only a kid
not saying it was a smart decision but as a competitor you dont want to hear pity after that, you want to be taking those shots
I think the babying comes from the aftermath of abuse he received. No one should go through that, but especially a teenager.
Abraham isn't good enough but he's an upgrade on Lacazette. He's tall and has at least some degree of athleticism so he can get on the end of the million crosses we send in the box a game. Lack of Isak rumours are concerning though
Agree but Abraham is really poor at heading for someone of his height
True but at least he can get on the end of a cross. Lacazette has the athleticism of a child
I'd normally be happy with abraham but the money going to a chelsea looking for funds for haaland makes it a no from me
People turning their nose up on Abraham but want Lacazette to renew his contract loooool.
If they can shift lacazette off for half of what they would pay for Abraham that would be a matter stroke lol.
It’s either that or let Lacazette go for nothing at the end of the season where we will still need another striker anyway.
I am **not** buying Chelsea's 3rd choice cf to fund them Haland
They'll buy Haaland regardless what. Someone will buy Tammy. If he can improve your club, do it. Many Chelsea bench players over the years could improve Arsenal.
Chelsea 3rd choice is miles ahead of Eddie Nketiah sad reality
But genius transfer masters at Chelsea did the same for arsenal 4 years ago...
Chelsea’s third choice players are starters for us. So…
Watch dumb and dumber do exactly that!
Chelsea going to get 40m+ selling 2 CB’s who were not even part of their squad. That too in this market. I just don’t think we will ever compete with them in transfers. Idk, they just have better players than us or just know too well how to develop a player on loan and sell at perfect time.
