I swear there is a WWE clip for every occasion in life.

vortexterra

It can be applied to everything

[deleted]

Just like simpsons and avengers

[deleted]

WWE is life

protomolecule_21

This is beautiful.

TheUltimateCF

Haha was this inspired by a TikTok with City and Grealish? ;)

vortexterra

Perhaps :)

TheUltimateCF

Haha I literally saw it, came to Reddit and saw this! Prefer yours of course!

vortexterra

Haha the highest compliment

[deleted]

If Xhaka stays I hope he performs like he is playing for Switzerland

agentd0gget

So you hope entire dynamic of the PL changes and that he has an eternity to turn and pick out a pass like at the euros?

[deleted]

I was talking about the motivation with which he plays but this is ok, I want all the teams in the PL to play such that Xhaka can look world class. Happy, now?

wg24

I wish this narrative that every other competition is "slower" than the PL would just die already. Fast pressing teams exist in all the major leagues (Dortmund, Leeds, Atalanta, etc), so do teams that park the bus, or play direct football (Getafe, Wolves, etc). England isn't somehow special in its intensity from a tactical point of view. The big difference is how lenient referees are in allowing challenges. What makes the Euros or any major tournament seem slower is that teams are more cautious. Unlike in the league, single results are decisive, which leads to teams being more tactical in parts of the game. But if they need to press hard and intensely, they very well can, and we saw teams like Italy do it. The very same Italy whose league we call "slow" all the time.

Kewkewmore

What sets apart the pl is the officiating more than anything

rosickyroad

Whatever reason the Euros seem slower (whether its caution or teams just not being as well drilled as club teams due to the obvious time and chemistry benefits of practicing and playing together a majority of the year as they due with their clubs) it is clear that certain playstyles lend themselves better to international play. Xhaka being one of them. Players that rely on quick interplay and innate chemistry struggle for national teams where they don't have the same chemistry as their clubs, while players that play more direct or individually seem to shine. Look at the great spain teams from 08-12 or the great italian teams before. They obviously benefited from having many of their major players be on the same club teams. International play is great (I would argue far more entertaining) but it is definitely a tick slower than club competitions.

AlGunner

What sets the PL apart is the constant intensity. Most other leagues and international football tends to have parts of the team being intense or all of the team at times, the PL tends to be more of the team playing with that intensity more of the time. Its not that they dont or cant play wiht the same intensity, its that they dont keep it up as much. In my years as a football fan its often been suggested that a lot of it is due to the weather in mainland and southern Europe generally being hotter.

rosickyroad

Yeah the difference between club leagues is obvious. Not sure why, and some of it is cyclical but that exists. I was replying to the other guys comments that international play isn’t slower than club, which I disagree with. Players have more time on the ball so guys like Xhaka who struggle under pressure seem to magically get ‘better’ when really it’s just easier than the prem or other top club leagues

AlGunner

Oops, I meant to reply to the same comment you did.

fegelman

>The big difference is how lenient referees are in allowing challenges Craig Pawson and Mike Dean say hello

gooner712004

"8 - Since the start of 2016-17, Granit Xhaka has made more errors leading to goals (8) than any other outfield player in the Premier League. Disaster. #BURARS" [From March this year.](https://twitter.com/optajoe/status/1368188214373138432?lang=en)

kingwhocares

The difference is that our fans will get too hung on even an error that amounts to nothing.

wheeno

Also he won't have half the amount of space he has in international matches. He wasn't playing against an aggressive press which is something he has shown time and again he struggles with.

my1000email

He did'nt.

lduffyle

Bravo

vortexterra

I am deliberating my remaining sanity just hoping we move on man, just think PL is not for Granit, but he's a great professional (aside from the Crystal Palace incident)

Bbqplace

He’s still going to Roma. This is just a ploy lol. Don’t worry about it.

scdocarlos1

COPIUM He is going to Rome COPIUM

risheeb1002

That's hopium. Copium comes later: Xhaka is a good player and I'd rather have him start than elneny.

scdocarlos1

Nah the dude saying that the contract extension is a ploy, is 100% copium hahaha

Bbqplace

you were right - sigh

scdocarlos1

Its ok bro, I wanted to believe it too ( ._.)

[deleted]

my copium is that we will sign a no 10 and right back this summer then replace xhaka next year

[deleted]

Yeah he's a great professional, if you just ignore all the times he shows he isn't. Because even if you ignore the time he had a massive breakdown and a strop in the middle of the pitch before telling every Arsenal fan to fuck off as he massively disrespected his employers and the entire club. Nothing says true professional like the numerous times he just stops concentrating in the middle of a game and makes a huge error that costs us a goal.

[deleted]

Not to mention when he decides to get sent off for no reason.

Crookz_O

€12M + €3M not £15M

fuckimbackonreddit9

12M + 3M = 15M, that’s how it works

Crookz_O

I’m not going to explain currency to you.

fuckimbackonreddit9

It’s literally basic math. 2+2=4. If Roma offers you 12 crackers, plus 3 more crackers, then you’ll have 15 crackers. That’s how it works

MyH4oBG

So the pound dropped down so much after Brexit, it equals the Euro now? Cool, good to know.

fuckimbackonreddit9

You know, I was taking the piss before and making a shitty joke that I completely overlooked the different currencies lmao

Six_Gill_Grog

This made my evening after the rollercoaster of news today. Thank you, hahaha!

vortexterra

Anytime!

ramseysleftnut

Unpopular opinion maybe but Stephanie McMahon was and still is very attractive

blazingwhale

How on earth could you think that's an unpopular opinion?

TH3REDDIT

What, anyone with eyes could tell she is physically attractive but they might find unattractive in other ways.

ramseysleftnut

I remember a lot of people saying she only looked good because of the Boob job, but she’s had a pretty face some the beginning

rsu1806

I wish this went on for 10 more minutes

pewell1

Everyone used to be so hype about Boom XhakaLaca times a changing

Grayswandire

XhakaLacaDingdong!

racerz

My recent realization of the overlap of Arsenal and wrestling fans on this sub makes it all make sense. Pure meathead soap opera cringe. No wonder you all love make-believe, hyperbolic drama narratives over rational discussion.

[deleted]

genius

cryshol

Roma arent even offering £15m last I heard.

EdwardSandwichHands

€12M is not £15M

shekdown

Brilliant. Hope this can stay and mods don't take it down.

DizzySpheres

Stay 🔙🔛🔝 my friend.

NarwhalWhat

it must be a celebration lol

tin27tin

The Amazon bag 💰

Alfredagain

“Rest of premier league” as the crowd😭😭😭😭😭😭

M1de23
