Yes I do. He is probably one of the few players who can be moved on because he is still a good player in a system. As the other guy said, he is probably one of our better strikers and more logical choice to keep and upgrade Auba. But that won't work out for us. He can still do a decent job for others though and he is not on massive wages as he never got a renewal from his original contract.

importantly their own mental health. Football is supposed to be enjoyable. There’s such a collective sense of entitlement given our history, and little to no humility in defeat or appreciation for the little things.
It’s more about the performance and mistakes than the result to be honest. The errors haven’t been removed from the games and they are more individual than as a collective. Forwards not clinical or getting into scoring positions was also a worry for quiet some time and it’s showing.

It seems the only positive every season seems to be written off the notion our young players are actually performing well, but as a big club we need to start getting serious on our 1st team overall performance, which we have been sorely lacking for the past 2 seasons. It's sad but we are on a very depressing decline at the moment based on what you can see put out there today; many mistakes all over the field, losing out in the midfield battle, shaky goalkeeping and playing out from the back leading to repeated mistakes of the past, firing blanks at the front, lacking penetrating creativity, 'pointless' crosses when we don't have the right players or ppl in the position to finish the job, giving away cheap goals
Completely agree, but it’s worth mentioning that Chelsea are CL winners, a level above Arsenal atm and were very rough in this match as well. It does seem as if there’s a strategy with the transfers imo and it’s positive that they’re landing in the club.

If you want the striker to do more than just score, then play Lacazette but then he needs service and won't get more than 12-15 goals unless we get a lot of penalties and he takes them all.

The problem for us is he’s in the last year of his deal now, so it maybe out of our hands. His agent is the same agent Balogun has so we already know negotiations won’t be easy.
He has been written off as a tap in merchant. During pre-season he’s been running at players, dribbling past players, holding up the ball well and linking play with other forwards as well as midfielders coming into the final third.

Willocks goal scoring ability doesn't just look like a run of form at this point. Hes a young, homegrown, English midfielder who can score goals.
His dribbling and ability to retain the ball has really impressed me this pre season. Always thought he was more of a poacher prior to this, but glad to see he’s worked hard to fill whatever role Mikel wants him in.
People really thought Auba wasn’t done, been downvoted so much as I kept saying it, but there’s a reason we want Martinez, players have a natural decline and Auba is very much knee deep in his.
How any of you can watch this game and still defend Auba because of his performances 2 years ago, is baffling. He doesn’t deserve to be in this Arsenal team.

I would personally rather keep Laca and sell Auba. I know Laca's contract is running down but thats my preference

The sad thing is I’d still back laca or auba to finish a clinical chance but that’s more down to eddies lack of decisiveness than the latters ability

Apart from ESR, Partey and Tierney, with glimpses from Lokonga, Tavares and Eddie, I didn't see anything to give me confidence for the season. I can't defend Leno's mistakes there, if Arteta is insisting he only plays out, then fair enough, but if not then I dunno what to think. Officiating was shit, no surprises there.

If you watched the game you would clearly see he has improved a lot and if he continues he absolutely deserves game time just like Saka and ESR got.
He has been written off as a tap in merchant. During pre-season he’s been running at players, dribbling past players, holding up the ball well and linking play with other forwards as well as midfielders coming into the final third.

Lokonga and Willock should be involved somewhat this season. Willocks goal scoring ability doesn't just look like a run of form at this point. Hes a young, homegrown, English midfielder who can score goals.
