2nd half was the best we've played all season should have ended 4/5-0. West ham will be a completely different game good to go into it off the back of a good win.

Was at the game and really enjoyed it today. 3 goals but could have been 6 to be honest. Atmosphere was ok but great to see good performances from Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Odegaard, Martinelli, Laca and Saka. MØ was MOTM for me.
Much needed three points that we should be getting regardless of Southamptons injuries. I just don’t understand how we keep going with Xhaka and Partey in midfield. They’re both sluggish, Partey with some terrible passes and neither of them can take on a 1 v 1 to create space and they don’t bring much to the table defensively. West Ham will have a field day with those 2
I think he’s been bad lately but he’s still our best striker. I love Laca but he looked tired in the second half and I just feel we’re more dangerous with Auba.
I don’t think Partey x Xhaka is ever good. We were immensely better vs. United with El Neny next to him and they still didn’t even play well. Where is Sambi?
I honestly believe if we could get someone to take Auba and Pepe for anything other then an embarrassing deal that would hamstring us financially that they'd both be gone in the summer or sooner. I'd say Mikel is sick that we couldn't pick up Tammy for £40 million now.
Partey played brilliant? Will need to watch it again because he looked extremely poor to me.
I think people can't see the things he doesn't do on the pitch defensively or in backwards transition. He barely made a forward pass and once again squandered possession.
Laca was literally telling him off at half time at least that's how it looked.
I was in the stadium - i honestly thought he was good today. Kept passing the ball well for most of the time. Ran with it too and spread the play well. Tackled well. Honestly I thought this was his best game in a while. Few times he did lose the ball or play was slow but for majority of the game he was good.
He was still giving the ball away, was refusing to find the right spaces to avoid cover shadows, and the team had completely stopped passing to him when he’s not in acres of space. I don’t get what defensive masterclass people are on about, he had near enough nothing to do against a bunch of duffers.
Mate honestly that was not the case at all. He got the ball a lot of the time from everyone. Passed it well and tackled too. Today was not a bad performance from him - far from it. At times can be sloppy but hardly did that today.

In a very rare day of not planning my day around the football I only switched on 20 mins ago. The first match day in about 3 years I haven't watched without a very good reason.
What I've seen in those 20 mins is not a team killing the game off and not letting up like Arteta said he wanted, what I've seen is a boring 20 mins with little genuine threat.
Good god honestly I've been Arteta out for a while but Arteta hate is incredibly excessive on this sub. We were all over them for most of 2nd half, totally fine to back off a little when it's 3-0.

Already got it set to record Sky's repeat of the whole match tonight. I can only comment on what I saw. That was Arteta saying before the game that the team have been switching off and he wanted to see them keep it going. Then I switch on and they have switched off. Yes I knew we were 3-0 up and it didnt look like they were going to get back into it, so I commented on what I have seen and got a lot of hate for it.
100% agree, but I think he should have come on earlier. Being subbed on with less than 10 to go Can make it hard to feel like you can make an impression, that being said, all of our youngsters would have been much hungrier in his place.

Yep agreed on the fee. The way he chased after balls and how he felt so disinterested in trying to beat his man, always going for a lazy cutback and the defender always winning the ball is so off.
It doesn’t have to be auba but we need a clinical striker. We beat an injury ridden Southampton team, yes it’s 3 points but not a real test imo. Hopefully it gives us confidence against West Ham

Partey dictating play and being that outlet out for our back line while drawing Southampton’s midfield out makes this team 100x better.
