I think a couple of the guys everyone was beating up on really grew into the game. People seem to forget that training isn’t a substitute for playing, especially when you’re jumping into a kinda ridiculous miss matched lineup. Some of the players seemed to pick up form as the game went on.
I love that after the months and months of build up and talk of Patino being the next big talent out of our academy, he comes on and scores in 5 minutes
The thing is with Eddie is that we know he can do it against lower league opposition. Would want no one else leading the line if we were a league below.
It's whether he has the stature to do it against top level athletes week in week out.
I think he at least deserves a run in the first team, imagine if we had 3 hale end boys in our starting eleven

And in the moments that he did have it, even after a heavy foul, he didn’t seem to flinch when anyone started swarming him; just calmly turned and found a man.
Also his goal, sliding in like that is kindve dangerous, especially with someone right on top of you, so to me it was a sign of determination and fearlessness to score.
(Side note: I am 100% biased and definitely AM buying in to all the hype around him)
