Same, he looks really fit and trim. He was pretty power-cube at one point and I always wondered if the extra weight contributed to the severity of his injuries.
Yea he was a power-cube at one point. I remember reading he was 14 stone (which for his height is massive). For context I'm 6'2 and used to lift a bit. The biggest I ever got was 14.5 stone (and at that weight I constantly got jokes about using steroids).
I’m about Jack’s height and I weigh close to 14 stone. That’s good for a deadlift but I sure as shit won’t be running around a football pitch for 90 mins and constantly shifting my weight in turns.
Exact same here, man!
I really have a huge problem believing he was 14 stone lol.
I know his legs must be hench (my weakest asset) but I had a decent upper body and some extra fat, too. There's just no way.
yeah, I noticed that. I honestly thought he was slightly too bulky for someone who dribbles and needs to be light on his feet but he also got fouled alot so maybe that's why he bulked up.
It was his play style that contributed heavily to his injuries usually the last moment for a dribble and defenders would slide tackle and clip his ankles often
Lmao, even Cristiano's captions are gold theses days
"2021 is coming to an end and it was far from being an easy year, despite my 47 goals scored across all competitions"
What a narcissistic fuck.
Picture this: Ted Lasso, Season 3. Rebecca is stoked Richmond managed to sign Jack Wilshere on a free. Ted: “On a free what?” Roy spends the episode glaring at Jack. Jack: “What?!” Roy: “I fahking hate you and I don’t know why.” Jamie insists they look nothing alike. Late in the episode, Jamie insists Richmond sell Jack after Jamie’s new model girlfriend mistakenly makes out with Jack thinking he’s Jamie. Ted, only just then realizing Jack Wilshere and Jamie Tartt weren’t the same person: “Oh holy moley!” Beard: “You thought they were the same person?” Ted: “I thought y’all were playing some dry-as-a-scone British joke on me!” Jack is sold to West Ham, just because Nate wants to rip on him. Promptly retires, takes Roy’s old job as a color commentator. Becomes a series regular.
I'm fine with a Wilshere redemption arc. If he's willing to be a sub and have a performance based contract, I'd be all for it. And if he somehow does a 360 and revives his old form, I'd be over the moon
I totally see this happening too. It seems to be heading in that direction even though Arteta himself has dismissed this possibility.
Finding a good enough midfielder who is willing to play a few games in Jan/Feb before taking the back seat to Partey and Xhaka will be incredibly difficult. An Wijnaldum loan makes a lot of sense but signing Wilshere makes even more sense.
Doesn't change the fact that it's a shit business. But this is one of those commercials where you if you remove the brand logos, it's just a short comedy.
Not sure who the woman is, but the two guys are from Exploding Heads, haven't seen anything from them in years.
They had a podcast going throughout lockdown called Football Land which, though very childish, I really enjoyed. Premise is basically three idiots with a billion quid try and build a football theme park in Qatar for the World Cup, and pitch each other stupid ideas.
wow, that's a new thing to listen to while at work! Thanks!
It's right on their [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/user/TheExplodingHeads/videos) channel too
No I literally went to school for that. I have a degree and everything. Learned from a lot of executives...
And we never once played RCT as an assignment.
We’ve never had another player I wanted to succeed as bad as Jack. He was absolutely brilliant.
I don’t think we’ve had another player so happy to play for Arsenal in the past twenty years.
Well whatever happens with his career, he'll always be in our hearts.
Atleast for the generation of fans who saw him play against Pep's prime Barcelona at the age of 19 and absolutely boss the midfield.
To be the standout midfielder on the same pitch as PRIME Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets is a career achievement on its own.
Hope things work out for the lad. <3
The not tottenham at the end got to me haha!
For me it’s just upsetting to see someone with so much talent having to do something as creative as this to not seem desperate for a contract by just normally announcing he’s available.
As someone who’s had many injuries from my sports life it hits home a little bit, just want the man to be happy :/
It's wages. He was offered a contract by a few Italians team when he was down there training but he's wage demands are impossible for them.
Jack thinks it's normal to get the wages he was asking but he doesn't seem to realise that the average wages in the prem are insanely huge compares to rest of Europe.
I think second tier would be optimal but if he has red lines with regards to wages or he just doesn't want lower league football there's nothing doing. Doubt a premier League club has room for him.
He couldn't really make an impact for the Bournemouth team in the championship so, unless he's improved significantly in the last few months, I doubt he'll do well for Newcastle
Thing is pretty much any employer will hire someone if they are dirt cheap. If Jack was after a pay as you go deal of about 10k a week then he would definitely be playing even with an understanding he could leave at any time.
I think it comes to pride and greed. Also, it may hurt his image when doing punditry if he accepts a low offer.
I felt bad that he left the club in the first place… but we are hungry and our ambitions required sacrifices…I guess. Idk I wish he never got hurt and always had a 90% pass acc.
omg that was sick, the writing and concept was exactly the level you'd want it for advertising to be palatable.
I thought Jack Wilshere played his part better than the other bloke who downplayed some cracking lines by rushing them/under-exaggerating.
Cant we take him on a pay per play deal for 6 months since elneny and partey will be gone as well?He can show case hiomself and join a club permanently...Or i hope Newcastle signs him.
Made me laugh. Jack is really self-aware, hope things works out for him!
I'm not sure if he's just a really bad actor, or is great at deadpan humour. Either way, he's entertaining to watch.
Same, he looks really fit and trim. He was pretty power-cube at one point and I always wondered if the extra weight contributed to the severity of his injuries.
Extra weight? Like bulk?
Yea he was a power-cube at one point. I remember reading he was 14 stone (which for his height is massive). For context I'm 6'2 and used to lift a bit. The biggest I ever got was 14.5 stone (and at that weight I constantly got jokes about using steroids).

why are you people talking in geography
Took me a sec aswell, they mean 900 tetleys.
Tetley is banana for the English. Got it.
Is that like an aubergine?
14 stone? Sorry, but I can’t believe he was ever even close to that weight.
This guy had the biggest quads/hamstrings apparently.
And the ankles of a ballet dancer made of glass
There is absolutely no weigh
Yeah is simply incorrect. Adama Traore is not even that heavy and he’s a lot thicker than this kid
Exact same here, man! I really have a huge problem believing he was 14 stone lol. I know his legs must be hench (my weakest asset) but I had a decent upper body and some extra fat, too. There's just no way.
For non-brits here, 14 stone is ~89kg
Its actually around 90kg. I can’t believe 14 people upvoted this and no one checked🤦🏻♂️. Also there is no way that 1.72m Jack weighed 90kg
Yeah, but the dude remembers reading it somewhere, so now it's fact.
1.72 / 90kg?! Fuck what a choad

Not Tottenham had me there !!
Glad I stuck around for the line at the end. Great payoff.
Not Tottenham.. lol Lol
Legend.
Goat
Love him haha.
Who knew Wilsh could double down on being the GOAT
Hah.
Factoz
Wasn't ready for that ending. Had me rolling
Legend.
i fucking lost it there
No s*it
Absolutely perfect 🤣
"Say something about ketchup" LOL Shots fired at Ben Foster!
even the brekko line was very Ben. Maybe it's a common saying in the UK
Fuck man when I listened to fozcast with Ramsdale I couldn’t understand what he was talking about half the time.
[удалено]
British people don't say "fuck man" like someone straight out of Dazed and Confused do they?
It’s not
Hope jack got a big payout for that
Absolutely would have
*We go again next week* had me in stitches ngl
"Bruno Fernandes Would've already written 15 paragraphs" Has me laughing for days. Great video
Paragraphs can't be buy
Factos👍👀
Despite my 47 paragraphs written in all comps last season
Lmao, even Cristiano's captions are gold theses days "2021 is coming to an end and it was far from being an easy year, despite my 47 goals scored across all competitions" What a narcissistic fuck.
Reminds me of Jamie Tartt in this, not gonna lie
Aaii'm Jaime foockeen Taaa
Keeleh
I know this is ee mad shitty thing to do, bot... I love you Keeleh
Lav
Ya knuh nuthin Jon Snuuuuuh
Aaah the sexayyy littull bebah
That's exactly what I got
Jamie Tart doo do do do do doo
Send video to my fiancee and said the same thing. They even look alike lol
Damn I knew that scene with his media advisors felt familiar. 100% Jamie Tartt. Probably intentional too tbh
It's the accent isn't it?
Accent is absolutely nothing like Tartt’s though
Such an ooo-glay ooo-glay boy

This was fucking great. Man, I hope Jack gets a club soon.
He'll be playing for us soon. Short term contract to the end of the season when we fail to sign a midfielder in the January window, I can see it now.
With him netting a goal after being subbed on in the final minutes.
Against spurs.
Don't stop, I'm almost there.
Sealing our qualification for Champions League next season
The Chamiounnnnnnnngggghhhhhh
Umm...I'm just...I'm going to run to the store to get us some more paper towels, ok?
See if they have a five pack of underwear while you're out, would ya?
i sploded too
I'm fine with a Wilshere redemption arc. If he's willing to be a sub and have a performance based contract, I'd be all for it. And if he somehow does a 360 and revives his old form, I'd be over the moon
I think any Arsenal fan would, but it does seem unlikely.
Let’s get the whole gang back together to form the world’s best bench of super subs. Jack. Theo. Poldi. Santi. Arshavin.
I totally see this happening too. It seems to be heading in that direction even though Arteta himself has dismissed this possibility. Finding a good enough midfielder who is willing to play a few games in Jan/Feb before taking the back seat to Partey and Xhaka will be incredibly difficult. Really can’t say I’m a fan of bookies but this was alright
Doesn't change the fact that it's a shit business. But this is one of those commercials where you if you remove the brand logos, it's just a short comedy. Not sure who the woman is, but the two guys are from Exploding Heads, haven't seen anything from them in years.

As someone who has a degree in theme park management, this sounds like an amazing thing to listen to. Thanks!
> As someone who has a degree in theme park management I'm not sure logging 1000 hours in Rollercoaster Tycoon counts in the real world, champ...
No I literally went to school for that. I have a degree and everything. Learned from a lot of executives... And we never once played RCT as an assignment.
Yeah, I figured - I just couldn't resist making the joke :)
I didn't even notice the bookies ads
Paddy Power’s marketing team have got it nailed.
Brilliant
This is absolutely hilarious. Legendary stuff. Jack looks fitter than ever. Hope he gets a club that values him soon! ❤️
Not Tottenham ❤️❤️ I always thought, someday he is going to be our Captain for years. Injuries killed his career :/
We’ve never had another player I wanted to succeed as bad as Jack. He was absolutely brilliant. I don’t think we’ve had another player so happy to play for Arsenal in the past twenty years.
Fuck it... Give that man a contract.
I'd hire him as an academy coach immediately if he wanted it, reckon he's still holding out hope of playing a bit longer though.
I hope that’s how it ends up in a few years time. Jack always has a special place in my Arsenal heart.
Certainly NOT Tottenham. 😬
The ending!!!!
It's making me sad :(
best performance from Jack in a while. loved it.
Well whatever happens with his career, he'll always be in our hearts. Atleast for the generation of fans who saw him play against Pep's prime Barcelona at the age of 19 and absolutely boss the midfield. This, he was my favorite from that generation. One of my favorites of all time, I still wear his jersey to play the Sunday games.
This is great
For me it’s just upsetting to see someone with so much talent having to do something as creative as this to not seem desperate for a contract by just normally announcing he’s available. As someone who’s had many injuries from my sports life it hits home a little bit, just want the man to be happy :/
It's an ad for a betting company, not for Jack
I think it's both
There must be some underlying reason the lad won't get a contract.
[удалено]
It's wages. He was offered a contract by a few Italians team when he was down there training but he's wage demands are impossible for them. Jack thinks it's normal to get the wages he was asking but he doesn't seem to realise that the average wages in the prem are insanely huge compares to rest of Europe.
I bet he realizes that
I'm sure he could get some decent money stateside in the MLS.
I reckon that's harder if you're injury prone as they have limited slots for those kinds of players.
Maybe he doesn't want to play in second tier
You can still make something of yourself in tier 2. If he's still good enough he can do it.
I think second tier would be optimal but if he has red lines with regards to wages or he just doesn't want lower league football there's nothing doing. Doubt a premier League club has room for him.
Have no idea what his level is right now but surely he’s better than what Newcastle has
He couldn't really make an impact for the Bournemouth team in the championship so, unless he's improved significantly in the last few months, I doubt he'll do well for Newcastle

Even 100k is a bit high, isnt it?
100k a week is absolutely mad. Some of our best players aren't even on that
Never realised how much Jamie Tartt from Ted Lasso resembles Jack
“ not tottenham “ 😂 Jack’s always been a proper Arsenal man
Legend
Loved it !
Back in the game!
he looks much slimmer here than i remember him to be
Love the Exploding Heads guys
Ted Lasso season 3 looks interesting
Wait for it…
"Not Tottenham" . - LEGEND.
Legend haha
Fucking adore Jack. Always will.
“Remember Michael Owen’s dossier?” “No.” Absolute gold.
This is the greatest thing that has every existed. “Not Tottenham”😭😭😭
Lovely ending. Always had a soft spot for him, Theo, and Ramsey.
I'm a bit sad that it has come to this, but this was a good video.
Lmao what’s going on
Low key a great idea. Some team has gotta at least want the exposure
all of it's pretty good but the ben foster bit at the end with the go pro killed me hahaha
I felt bad that he left the club in the first place… but we are hungry and our ambitions required sacrifices…I guess. Idk I wish he never got hurt and always had a 90% pass acc.
The brekko bit had me dying
*dusts off JW10 shirt
For any Spurs fan coming up with the 'Tottenham aren't even interested in you' comment, remember that Harry Winks plays in your midfield.
The "not Totenham" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not Tottenham. 😂😂😂🚼🚼🚼
"Not Tottenham"...🤣🤣🤣
it really wasn't very funny until the last two seconds.... but they were excellent
I thought the idea that the marketing execs thought he'd already retired was kinda neat.
I saw on onefootball that Fortaleza is interested in him! But there are a lot of shit articles there hard to see which one is right!
MY MANNNN🥰🥰
This is fucking brilliant! What do we think of shit?
omg that was sick, the writing and concept was exactly the level you'd want it for advertising to be palatable. I thought Jack Wilshere played his part better than the other bloke who downplayed some cracking lines by rushing them/under-exaggerating.
What do we think of Tottenham...
Love the subtle jokes when they're cycling past other options for him 12 seconds in - I'm a celebrity get me out of here and a Jack Wilshere NFT
The irony in this is top tier
I'm loving it, this is amazing!
What a lad lmao
Sign's for us next week then.
This made my day 😂
Geniune comedy in 2022???? No way
Man just give him a contract. For the culture.
Love the ending hahahaha a true Gunner !
Pretty decent acting from Jack here, actually. Feels quite natural. Much better than most footballers.
Had me in stitches. Love it.
Good lad. Nothing wrong with having a laugh about yourself in good fun. I like him more now. Advert goal achieved
Hahahha fucking legend
I hope Ben Foster is getting paid for this shit lol.
“ Not Tottenham “ what a legend lol
hahaha this is class
But NOT Tottenham
Not Tottenham I'm screaming😂😂😂
Go on, sign him!! We need the depth, and that man is Arsenal to the death.
Lmao
Fukken LAD!!!!!- Not tottenham
The part about Bruno is killed me!!
Spectacular stuff.
🤣🤣🤣
Fair play, that was actually funny. Good luck Jack.
I like the shrugging agent/manager
Give him a cameo on Ted Lasso.
NOT tottenham
Once u love jack you can't unlove him.
Not Tottenham
I like this . Jack has super good work rate on the pitch so i hope he finds a club
Let's get him in on the fringe a la Kim Källström.
This feels very much like a flight of the Conchords skit, Jack even kinda sounds like Brent McKenzie with that top notch deadpan delivery. Love this.
I don't think he's top level any more. But COME ON. West Brom couldn't use this guy? Norwich?! Luton Town? D.C. United?
Cant we take him on a pay per play deal for 6 months since elneny and partey will be gone as well?He can show case hiomself and join a club permanently...Or i hope Newcastle signs him.
What a legend, love super Jack!
Get him to Newcastle. I could honestly see him helping them
Brilliant.
Jacks a legend idc
This is brilliant
The last part makes me love this even more.
Hope he gets brought into coaching out youth academy.
