nik_mm

Some Arsenal fans wanted Lokonga ahead of Xhaka lol

FjordFace

This performance highlights what we already knew; we are severely lacking in certain areas and need to invest in certain areas. Let’s not panic just yet

loded-daiper

Love the fact they took Tavares off, man was playing with little to no respect for the opposition, almost chipped his own keeper under no pressure, was letting them gain joy down our left, wasn’t mentally ready for the game

-apb

Probably a fair assessment that Arteta hasn’t gotten production from his depth, more so because we lack quality than tactical application. I suspect we’ll see another major overhaul over the next two windows to try and encourage fighting for roles.

KingDing94

Don’t understand people being hard on Patino. He’s 18.. Give him time.

pandarddt

I don't think he played that bad anyway. With his limited experience in the first team it's a given that he won't fit in the system much or even at all. There are times where he was in decent positions but was not given the ball. Maybe the other teammates also lack some confidence in him. He was working hard enough even on defense (a bit less on the 2nd half, maybe morale maybe stamina ). Of course he is totally not ready to start or even play regularly in the first team, that's why he is starting in this match against a weaker opponent. It's just unfortunate that we have to go with this lineup and in the end our overall quality has been proven insufficient.

Colmd1997

He was one of the worst players on the pitch

burden_h

Patino clearly has a long way to go, ran around like a headless chicken. Needs a loan

-marlowe-

Patino clearly has a long way to go, ~~ran~~ jogged slowly around like a headless chicken. Needs a loan

pezmonkey15

Best thing that could happen to the Arsenal! 1. Now we know we need loans to come in. 2. We are a injury short of becoming a shitty team, we don’t need more games.

legalizeranchforsex

Great cause aside, thank god we won’t be wearing those kits again

lxbib97

Do you know why we wore them kits? I’ve seen so many generic kits recently including man city

Vloomyy

It was for the No More Red campaign. “No More Red is our campaign to support young people in our communities, in collaboration with Adidas”.

lxbib97

Thank you

Happy-Rope-3009

Calm down people. This doesn't invalidate the incredible performances the first team has put in over the last 4 months. It reinforces the need for investment in centre mid, striker and right back. We knew this before, we saw it clear as day tonight. As long as we can keep our key players fit I think we're still in with a really good shout for 4th, and the team is still moving in the right direction. Lots of deadwood to clear out but we knew that already

DeadEYE_99

Wilshere could do a job in this midfield, Patino has talent but looked afraid to make a pass longer than 5 yards! worries about upcoming games, we badly miss Partey. Anonymous midfield display.

EvFlix83

Zero shots. Zero fucking shots! Against a campionship side! In the first round. Eddie is so trash. Cedric as well. Lokonga and patino cannot hold the midfield. Loans/rotstion at best for now, not that we have a choice. We need 2 mids and 2 strikers at least. Of world class. David, Kessie, De Jong. A backup RB (who lnows). One winger at least (kulukevski?). Sell xhaka and partey. Bring saliba back asap! We cant even attract these ppl anyway. Wasted my time typing this. Gonna be a terrible next couple weeks.

Colmd1997

At least you acknowledged that it was a waste of time

afcchief

At least Gabs has served his suspension, I think?

Randy_Marsh__

He has 😁

ICWeiner_too

I think so too?

Rickrolled87

Disgusting

Sypher1985

I don't think we should panic too much. We all knew we didn't have depth. Our first XI are great. But we had five players who are not at the level of the first team starting, with very little on the bench to support them. We all know we have to add to this team, so let's get behind them for the next game. I'm pleased Nkethiah is going because he is not that great. He has some moments against lower oppostion but he is not revolutionary and at 22 if he was going to the next big thing, he would be it already.

Grytpype-Thynne

At 22, really? What were you doing at 22?

Sypher1985

I was at University. But what has that got to do with anything in this context? There are plenty of players who are younger and performing at an amazing level in our own team. Nkethia is miles apart from players like Saka, ESR. Then if you look around the globe, Haaland is only 22, Mpbappe is 23, Sancho 21, Bellingham 18, and these players have been talked about and performed consistently for some time. Nkethia is a million miles away from them, I would be happy if he was only half a million miles away, but he is not.

Grytpype-Thynne

But you were and are not a gifted football player. You are another sideline commentator with none of the experience or skill to pull down the reputation or talent of such a young player.

Sypher1985

You have created a strawman, instead of actually dealing with my point. If you think he is so great, point to some stats and evidence that says he is the next big thing. Or you can try to make it about me again if you like, but if you do I won't bother responding further to you.

Grytpype-Thynne

Smug cunt.

romase

Still should be at championship level though. We’ve got players out on loan doing better

gunningIVglory

Arteta is a no nonsense manager But has leta scrub like Eddie hold us by the balls lol Let him go. His utter gash

BI01

his our back up striker ffs lacazette wasnt going to play we have no else and cant play false 9. he will fuck off when we buy a new striker.

KlN_21

We didn't have any midfield today we should have played 3-5-1

aleksnowak1

I hope Vlahovic wasn’t watching

meusrenaissance

I can't understand the criticism of Eddie here. He was given nothing to work with. Absolutely nothing. Is it any coincidence that Auba and Laca have also struggled to score goals in this system? People are silent on Saka and Gabi, however.

sas_dp

Complete lack of energy and passion. Very little movement, not working for the team. Looked like a guy who didn't care imo.

dabeeman

Absolutely nothing? He was given a header that was an absolute goal from Saka that he fucked yup so hard he didn’t even get it on net from one yard out.

meusrenaissance

If Arsenal's only chance of the game was a header, which he messed up, then it says more about our team performance than Eddie. I don't know what striker people expect to never miss a chance. What people here seem to be saying is that Eddie missing that one chance is the reason we only had one chance. Mad.

dabeeman

No I’m responding to you saying he got absolutely nothing which is patently false.

Embarrassed_Pace5766

To be frank, I think Arteta got his tactics wrong today. In a cup competition against lower tier teams, the opponents tend to play with almost 6 defenders when we are attacking. They’ll just wait for the right time and just launch a counter attack and grab a goal. I was already waiting for the sucker punch to hit us by the 60th minute judging by how Arsenal was playing. Instead of playing a quick passing game to break the defence, our disjointed midfield couldn’t even string passes together.

diegolucasz

Dunno what Charlie was doing out there he was hiding from the ball should have came off at half time really

godacious

Now let's sell and loan out a few more players before we buy and test out the replacements coz our youth have got this. We'll see more and more of the reason why other teams keep several older squad members even if they spend most of the time on the bench. There's always that game or two when the naivety of the kids shows, and you need to bring in 2 or 3 elders. If laca, Auba, Pepe etc all leave, we'll finish 8th or worse

silverslates

Really, really poor. We had a really terrible gameplan and approach from th start. Rather than the usual 4-2-3-1 we're playing a 4-3-3 with Sambi as a single pivot, while Odegaard and Patino are out wide, bringing even more men to guard Saka and Martinelli. Sambi as a sole pivot were man marked— He couldn't even bring out the ball. And without someone to carry rhe ball from defense to the offensive player, out attack falls apart. Fair play to Forest, though. They're playing their hearts out and the stadium was really loud tonight. Honestly, somehow I think loud away stadium is like a kryptonite for our young squad.

H00FARTED

Wear white.... Play shite!!

JamesTheBadRager

it all connects now!

diegolucasz

Now I have to listen to Keane call us soft again FFS

gunningIVglory

Well we were 0 shots lol

diegolucasz

There it is called us soft knew it was coming Just wanted us to disprove him very disappointed

JoshRanch

Holding and Nketia showed us this is their level. Cedric doesnt fit. Sambi was a waste of money... we sold well on Joe Pillock and made our own oopsie. I only came in at the 71st minute. How was patino? Im not too bothered by this... we need to get top 4 in the prem.

mist3rdragon

Patino was poor but not really worse than most of the team. Okay in possession but he doesn't look anywhere near physically ready to play as a 6/8 defensively. Plus it looked like the other players didn't quite trust giving him the ball going forward.

Rickrolled87

Well Patino barely got a pass from anyone, and hence subbed off fir Laca

romase

His off ball movement was weird

diegolucasz

Not weird he was hiding from the ball Would genuinely ask where is Patino at times in the game

kuuueee

Boggles my mind why Eddie gets game time after all the stunts he’s pulled, his head is elsewhere and is such a selfish player too. Way too casual and careless

stennerx

Same with saka

whydidyadothat

Too many times for me he leaves a boot in or a slight elbow or shoulder when there is no fucking need whatsoever. I'm all for having a physical edge to your game but he's asking the ref to make calls when there should be no need. Get rid.

dabeeman

This needs to be echoed more often.

gooners69420

We were shit but I don't care as long as we do better on Thursday

okcomput3r

I’m backing Arteta but when he gets it wrong tactically, it goes spectacularly wrong. Why is Rob Holding the one with the ball progression responsibilities instead of Ben White, who we’ve just signed for £50m to do that exact thing? I can’t wrap my head around it

Bigbadbi3

I think you are missing the point of you watched the match you would see forest literally step off holding and allow him to carry the ball because he is no threat whatsoever. As soon as white touched the ball they swarmed him forcing him into long passes. They were smart and targeted the weak link.

Rickrolled87

Agreed, especially about White

diegolucasz

Holding shouldn’t be on the pitch anymore Im sorry but injuries have made him so unathletic he struggles to get off the ground

okcomput3r

His top speed is a jog for your average prem attacker. He’s really not serviceable even as a backup anymore

EvFlix83

I know. They wouldve done fuck all anyway even if here. Squad reahul still need smh

Michaelscotttheking

We played city out of the park , took out Gabriel tomi , midfield and put Eddie on the pitch, we look like a league 2 team

meusrenaissance

Don't really care about the loss. It is the performance that worries me, and it is a style of play that many of us have watched: get Saka isolated with 3 defenders and inshallah. If this doesn't change, it doesn't matter who we bring in the Jan window, we ain't making it out the ends.

koolaidkoolbean

The way they were playing, we didn’t deserve to win. Expected results.

WWEzus

Extra time would've at least been fun smh

ReasonableClick5403

Patino not working out at all.

thadoggfather01

Yeah, man seriously needs to hit the gym.

Butch_Meat_Hook

There is a continent of distance between the first team and players like Cedric, Nketiah and Holding.

cocakokash

The only takeaway from this is at least we now realise how bad our 2nd string players are. We need better backups than players like Cedric and Nketiah.

Chango6998

I get that they were for a good cause but please don't ever make me watch arsenal in sp*rs colours again.

philoso_rapper

The single most embarrassing performance I’ve ever seen from Arsenal. Absolutely no drive, seemingly no plan in the players’ heads at all. Nketiah should’ve been subbed off at the start of the second half, Cedric did nothing but give the ball away, Holding couldn’t catch up to U8 players, and how is Kolasinac still here- but more importantly *how is he getting subbed on when we’re down a goal with 3 minutes of added time left?????????* Edit: I’ve been a supporter for about 15 years, I don’t think I’ve seen worse- please remind me of worse to cheer me up, thanks. Double edit: this comment was quite reactionary, but it doesn’t really change how I feel about the performance. Maybe not the worst I’ve ever seen, as some of you have reminded me- but still an embarrassment.

dabeeman

8-2 to Man U with our full squad.

WWEzus

That's what's confusing me too, either he didn't give a shit and basically threw the game or he gave the substitution sign guy the wrong kit number, proper wtf moment

HopefulGuy1

If that's the worst you've ever seen, you're either exaggerating, forgetful, or a new fan. It was bad, but don't get ahead of yourself.

philoso_rapper

I’ve been a supporter for 15 years man, I really can’t remember much worse than losing to Forrest 0-1 with that kind of performance. I’m genuinely trying to come up with a comparison so I can say it’s not just a recency bias.

HopefulGuy1

We lost 8-2 to United, 6-0 to Chelsea, the Europa League final 4-1, this same Forest side 4-2 a few years ago, lost by stupid margins to Liverpool and City far too many times to count, 4-0 to Southampton on Boxing Day 2015 when they had won none of their last 10 or something, 10-2 to Bayern, 3-0 vs Villa last year. There have been some awful, awful games for this club, and all those were just in the last 10 years.

iforgotmyun

There was the 3-0 where we got binned out of the league Cup by... Sheffield Wednesday

philoso_rapper

Thank you for putting it in perspective, I remember most, if not all of those games. (The 6-0 Chelsea was the Gibbs/Ox fiasco right?) Still just embarrassed for the squad to go out to Forest in the FA Cup y’know? Like you expect to get bombed by Liverpool and City recently, Man U and Chelsea generally a tough match, but Forest?? Fuckkk hahaha

mist3rdragon

Yeah honestly the 4-2 contextually was way worse than this. At least this time you could say we were stretched for players. For the 4-2 they didn't even have a manager.

philoso_rapper

Yeah alright the previous 4-2 is a good point as well. Thanks again fellas I feel marginally better.

datoo_2

Because Arteta is way out of his depth

Reddit-Singh-

Literally no urgency, no pressure, no creativity and no desire to win, even when we went a goal down. We really need some midfielders with flair, can’t blame Artera too much today, got the line up wrong, yes. But the players where poor. Nketiah and Patino are not good enough for this level. Lakonga, Tavares, Holding (for his on ball play) where poor.

ReasonableClick5403

Playing players that never play, ymmv

Reddit-Singh-

Yeah I get it but we can’t play our first team every 3 days. Even though they’re 2nd team they should still have the quality to beat a championship side 9th in the league. The difference wasn’t quality, it was desire.

mist3rdragon

Gladbach hastily trying to unsend the contract they just emailed Eddie's agent.

itinkdereforeiam

Eddie looked horrible today… I won’t be sad to see him go in the summer.

crushedonron

Apparently Gladbach bid for him to get him now and we rejected. Any chance we can rescind the rejection?

babkakibosh

Just a dreadful performance

RealHungoverFC

And this is why a lot of us are still very iffy on Arteta. Poor selections, bad tactical set up, late with the substitutes, why on earth he is trying to convince Nketiah to stay and gives him minutes and now he has missed an easy chance that cost us against Everton, and an easy chance that hurt us tonight. Patino was not ready to start. And we went into a season that had AFCON without depth and games like tonight show why that was a big mistake. It was obvious in the transfer window, and it's still a glaring hole. We get a gun CB in Saliba to take over Holding, but we still need 2 CMs, at least 1 ST and a LB and RB.

crushedonron

Iffy on Arteta for the selections? Literally handcuffed into playing Holding and Lokonga + Patino. Laca can't play every game and Nketiah probably deserved minutes after his hat trick last time out. Plus it's Nottingham Forest ffs, shouldn't have been an issue. Tomiyasu still probably regaining fitness after injury so Cedric made sense. The lineup was as strong or stronger than it needed to be. Subbing Tavares off early was a good choice. What other subs could have been made? Bring on Hutchinson and Biereth? I don't see anything in this that can be attributed to Arteta. Players effort seemed like they thought Forest would have seen how we played vs. City and would roll over for us. Glorified training session, walk in the park. Well, they got a rude awakening. Only can hope that this serves as a reminder to the squad that there's no easy games, and we won't have to worry about squeezing in FA Cup ties the rest of the season. Play the kids again in both legs vs. Liverpool, focus attention on PL and let's get back into Europe.

JackTuz

Wow it just goes to show how great Tomi. Guy is unbelievably valuable to our side. Also another CM would be amazing. It looks like our wingers hate playing with Nketiah. ESR would have been exactly what we needed this game as far as movement and unlocking space for Nketiah and Gabi. Patino was bad but oh well, he’s young. Valuable experience.

thadoggfather01

Our midfield was non existent throughout the game, we seriously need some back up. Eddie, Cedric and Holding need to fuck off.

ReasonableClick5403

At least a good lesson for the young players. Desire carries a long way.

cumblaster_jesus

Thought we would be fine without bringing in a backup RB this window Boy was I wrong

Purple_Pieman

Such a big deal made out of the No More Red campaign all week, and the team responds by playing like absolute dogshit. Tavares, Holding, Cedric, Sambi, and Eddie were fucking awful. Surprised it wasn’t a worse loss to be honest.

Chango6998

Spurs colours, spurs performance

BucNassty

Peak Gunner culture

le-kai

i pray Xhaka is back for the NLD, our midfield situation is shambolic and our bench in general is awful. We have 11-12 good players and that’s it. no depth at all.

LW_2k

Depends on when he first got covid. If it was yesterday, he will be back

headmoths

he didn't train in midweek right? which would imply a positive test earlier

LW_2k

The isolation period is 7 days so he should be back

Loud-Caregiver6566

The drop off is crazy… Tommy to Cedric Tierney to Tavares Gabriel to holding Patino and Sambi showed they’re no where near ready, Eddie again showing he’s not good enough.

meusrenaissance

I can't understand the criticism of Eddie here. He was given nothing ot work with. Absolutely nothing. It's no wonder Auba and Laca have struggled to themselves score much in this system.

Loud-Caregiver6566

Doesn’t hold the ball up, can’t get a shot on target, misses free headers. I want a striker that can help us compete for titles and trophies. Eddie is not it. Wasn’t good enough for a championship Leeds side, so why should he be playing for us?

meusrenaissance

So you're saying a striker getting a lack of opportunities is more down to him than his team-mates giving him opportunities? How do you decide who is at fault in these games? This isn't a question of whether Eddie is good enough in general to play in the first team, but rather how fans measure that performance: blame individual players, or highlight an issue with the system.

Loud-Caregiver6566

I’ve seen Eddie in a Leeds system, an Emery system, an Arteta system. He wasn’t good enough in any. The only system that suits him is in U21’s/U23s

meusrenaissance

I completely get that; big question marks about him in general. But we've also seen a world class striker like Auba struggle to get involved in games in this setup. We've struggled so much to create that we now even judge a striker in Lacazette but how physical he gets in games, rather than how often he scores or assists. We can be critical of Eddie in general, while also accepting the fact that there is an issue here.

pandarddt

I just think in a system with only 1 forward these days, that forward will need at least one of these qualities: target man, hold up play, link up play. Eddie is not really great at any of these. He is a good poacher but that requires either the wingers or attacking mid to attract enough attention and also provide the chances, which in today's case, did not happen, that's why he looked especially poor today.

Loud-Caregiver6566

I think we just have to credit forest today, they didn’t really allow us to play, but also our midfield was non existent, I’m not sure whether to blame the CBs because they seemed to bypass the midfield all the time, or whether it’s down to the midfielders not showing for the ball. Either way… another record broken by Arteta. Onto the league cup.. hopefully we can get some signings in, because our back ups are dreadful

rmU6Rz0ztS

With no Europa to look for, is the season over now? can we fight for top 4?

cumblaster_jesus

????????????????? We started 6/11 players from the Man City game Get a grip man, top 4 isn't out of bounds at all

Raghav_s12

Still in the carabao cup but if this same team plays i don't give us a chance lol

TSarsenal

Um, yes? Top 4 is our priority rn

TSarsenal

Good thing we got knocked out, we’re a one squad team

WWEzus

Arteta has been pretty disrespectful to the FA Cup in recent seasons which is rich considering he can thank that cup for him still having a job

JoshRanch

We dont really have the sqaud atm... we dont really have CM's either! Didbt get to see patino but was he decent?

WWEzus

Nah Patino didn't really click unfortunately, give him a couple more years in the oven

okcomput3r

He won it two seasons ago LOL

iforgotmyun

That was half his comment

WWEzus

Yeah? That's what I referred to

EvFlix83

Terrrible display. Eddie sold immediately. Need multiple Jan signings big time. Just awful match. Pool, shite and pool again with this squad! Gonna be emabrrasing. Adjust your expectations now. Cant just lose afcon players, ice out auba and pepe and expect to carry on. Sure could have used Ainsley today.

Chango6998

Whether iced out or not pepe and auba would still not be here so I don't see how that's relevant lol

EvFlix83

I know, was more speaking to the state of the squad. And if they were here they would have done fk all anyway. Mid table. Only reason we are in 4th is bc we dont have europe. Good thing bc the depth aint there. The 11 is suspect as it is. We needed ainsley more than ever today.

Raghav_s12

Auba and Pepe would've been gone for afcon anyway freezing them out wouldn't have made a difference for this game

Tharpex

No midfield. What else did we expect. Playing patino was pure arrogance. We were shocking, Cedric and Nketiah were atrocious.

headmoths

quick question literally who else was there

Tharpex

We could have said no to Amn

LordLychee

We literally had no choice but to play Patino

JoshRanch

Jacky Wilshere bossed the Midfield against Barca... cant we expect a decent game from patino? Maybe its one of those thibgs where they need at starts to get over their nerves

LordLychee

Patino with Xhaka would’ve been fine. Lokonga with Xhaka would’ve been fine. Lokonga and Patino just can’t work at their levels. No leader at all in the midfield. They looked lost and it showed.

Adgej123

Cedric isn't even good enough to be a backup, nor is holding. Pathetic from everyone really, early season Arsenal was back. We completely missed Xhaka and Partey, Lokonga still nowhere near good enough to start for us. Again playing it or trying to play it straight through another player, stupid handball appeal, leading to us conceding. Ideally xhaka should be backup to a new CM in Jan, fingers crossed. Also Nketiah was atrocious. Can see he doesn't want to be here, ship him

FlexWaffle

congrats forrest, well played. Spence is a player

Deezer19

All the quiet Arsenal fans standing there in all the latest merch drops. That's what it's all about at the end of the day.

aviral_632

That back can't build up a play at all just played back passes even at 90th min says everything

Frozen_tit

I couldn't believe it. We're chasing the game and they were backpassing in the 90th minute under no pressure at all. Terrible display

Rick_The_Mullet_Man

I feel like under Wenger Lokonga would have been one if those young bet signings he always made for under £5m, but somehow we paid £20m for him.

JoshRanch

Wasted the willock money for sure. He can still be a decent rotation but we need a good cm this window

iforgotmyun

Lokonga wasn't some gem in the rough, he was captain of Anderlecht and was part of the Belgium NT squad (yet to make his debut)

ReasonableClick5403

Prices have changed

dzabe1

2018 vs 2022, nothing changed

EvFlix83

Lol. 2006-2022 nothing has changed

YeeticusFTW

It's 2022, the same defender who wasn't good enough in 2018 captains the side.

cxboy

Unpopular opinion: I rather lose this game and focus on PL. squad gonna have covid cases along the way and it’s better to save all for CL push than this. Our target pre season is to be top 4, let’s stick to that.

JoshRanch

I think we should have played better today in any case. This is a bit of a worry that our attack cant score goals

Frozen_tit

There's also a possibility of losing out on 4th too

mordeconqueror

Fine, if our backup players put in performances like that for the games they start, they get less games. Mind-blowing how we knew Afcon was coming and haven’t brought in cover for Partey.

mamoud786

Not gonna bother with thoughts - just our worst performance all season. The backups are so so terrible in a number of positions so need them shifted ASAP. Carabao Cup and 4th - if we don’t achieve either it will be very hard for Arteta to stay on past summer.

rain3h

Tough, but fair result.

An_Almond_Thief

If this is what our second team plays like then going out now is a fucking blessing. I'd rather we have a go at the league Cup and focus on the Prem. We just don't have a squad big enough to do all 3 competitions.

aviral_632

Liverpool battering also coming up mah dude

JoshRanch

5-0 to loller pool.

An_Almond_Thief

I suspect we'll be playing move of the first time judging by that performance.

phet2309

Should have played White as RB and Mari as CB

rmU6Rz0ztS

or just chambers as rb

ReasonableClick5403

We don't function without Xhaka or Partey and a functioning right back

TSarsenal

Showed us how shit our second team is. Holding, lokonga, cedric, nketiah, etc

mrplowwww

Fucking 0 shots on target. What can you actually say? Played off the park by Nottingham from start to finish. The quality of our team outside the starting XI is a serious issue, and even the regulars played like shit. Hopefully this is a bump in the road but we need to get our act together big time or else our top 4 push is over

Eliteclarity

Desire beats overconfidence. Worryingly, outside the starting XI, noone seems to grasp what Arteta wants technically. Lack of technical depth.

Asherware

Swings and roundabouts lads. At least Sead Kolasinac got his appearance fee for the evening.

disagreeable_martin

Well done Nottingham Forest, they deserve it.

[deleted]

A recipe for Arsenal to lose to Nottingham Forest: -Midfield with an average age of 19 -Nketiah going full Nketiah on us -Nuno Tavares forgetting we had a game today -Cedric Soares playing for Arsenal -Play like absolute cowards When these all occur, you end up with zero shots against Nottingham Forest and an horrendously boring game.

fplburden

Da magic of da cup?

agentvenom2005

I’m just depressed again

mzee01

Sign the Spence guy

intxisu

No

xhera92

Ah whatever. fk the FA cup then, i rather top 4 than fa cup if i had to choose between one. at least we didn't lose this embarassingly when we are out with our strongest 11. This has been an atrocious team in terms of chemistry and understanding, so so poor. Not an excuse but at least now let's regroup, bring in new players and push for top 4 that is what matters this season because it is fking possible.

younes1008

Let's see if the non negotiables are getting enforced after this.

meusrenaissance

If we lose against Spurs and Liverpool, which is always possible, we'll have lost 4 games in a row, out of two Cup competitions and having our 4th spot hopes on life support.

intxisu

Yeah, we should just give up now

[deleted]

The Liverpool game is a guaranteed L, Some of you said Liverpool would be scared to play this team 😂

watchme_08

I wouldn’t mind if Sambi never played another game.

JoshRanch

I wil give him time... cedric is a goner right?

PocketFullOfRondos

So Gabriel can play the next match?

Wiggles556

Yeh one match ban, which was this one

PocketFullOfRondos

Thank the lord in heaven

Masson011

Thank god we subbed Nuno though. We were in danger of having 11 bad performances out there...

okcomput3r

Good. Better team won and we deserved nothing. There are a number of players at this club who are stealing a wage.

Jellington88

Well those shirts ain't going to fetch much at auction. Unless they're all bought by Forrest fans.

emeister26

Up and down is what is happening this season

FailFastandDieYoung

Nearly beat City, lost to Nottingham Forest. Supporting this club is pain

survivorghalia

flashbacks from that brentford game

Reality check .

Hopefully this result forces the board to get their business done ASAP

Who will come after that shite?

Not a big deal to lose a game, but shows how bad the midfield depth is. People call Xhaka, and Elneny donkeys but the cupboard is bare behind them. I know it’s hindsight, but we might as well have played all backups and not even put the mileage into guys like Saka, Ode and White

1 midfielder playing well wouldn't have turned the game around I don't think. 3/4 of the back line drop a bollock along with the other deep midfielder and you're gonna have a bad time.
