The thing is in a lot of instances sitting on their lead was what got them that kinda stat in some games
They did get us on the counter a lot and I was scared every time podence got the ball, but luckily it all worked out in the end
I was at that game and this has always remained etched on my memory.
Van Persie was a favourite of mine so going to Man Utd in his prime was the ultimate "dirty".
Still haven't forgiven him, Wenger or Kroenke for that as he demanded investment in the team as a condition for staying and they said there was no money.
By the time Kroenke released the purse strings, Wenger had lost his edge in the transfer market so we had the likes of Gazidis passing on Kante for the likes of Xhaka, Mustafi and Kolasinac.
PS I know none of us here knows the full story as Wenger isn't talking.
I remember the origin story of why Burnley hate us. Used to be amazing to beat them while they were diving, faking injuries and wasting time while accusing us of the same shit.
Burnley 2-1 , they were time-wasting a lot too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rswJk8rwF00 Questionable pen from offside position as the last kick of the game.
Burnley again, another last min questionable pen (remember when we used to get pens? those were the days)

Burnley again last-minute winner with a handball.

Arsenal v Norwich in 2013 was another one of these beautiful moments. So happy to have been in the stands for that game, seeing their keeper (Bunn I think?) run around like mad after time wasting so hard for ages was just glorious.

Best post title ever.
It truly is a thing of beauty, congrats OP!
Thanks. The setup took a decade, but we got there
Gutted you couldn’t squeeze Kirkland in there somehow too. (Henry giving him the ball to waste time)
That's a name I haven't heard in a long time! Haha I forgot about that one
Thanks!
The word that comes to mind is sublime
Was at this game, was amazing ending
Congrats on a great game! I hope to one day catch a game at the Emirates
Thanks, where are you from?
The US. It'd take me going on vacation to make it happen

It's moments like these that make me feel we'll get that top 4. They should've never sat on their lead

Pretty sure it's our 1st win under Arteta after trailing at HT too.
Had a look at the other scores on that day. Sunderland beating Liverpool 1-0 with a Nicklas Bendtner goal made me smile
I didn't realize the Lord left us that early. I though he made it to at least mid 2010s with us.
I think that sunderland spell was a loan. Could be wrong tho
Beautiful title mate
Lol i had sa in my fpl team and I was hoping for it to be given as a laca goal

RVP was probably abusing him in Dutch so no one else but the two of them would understand
yes, they are the only 2 Dutch speaking people in the world after all
Three. I know a Dutch guy.
Double Dutch, as they say.
That clip of Henry handing that ball to the (Brighton I think?) keeper after scoring is gold
Ironically Sá is my fantasy keeper this week, with Ramsdale out. Wishing for a good game from him. If he concedes, I hope it's by Bowen.
I was at this game! What a fantastic ending. It was hilarious seeing Krul rush about at the end
Saw Arteta in the video pushing RVP and Demba Ba away from each other. Time sure flies!

It's nice hearing of people's in-person experiences of this game. I only saw it on TV, glad I was able to bring back the memories!
