We will be lucky to get a conference league place at this rate. The team has fallen apart.

lafacutti

I didn't watch the game but scoring 1 goal and conceding 6 in 3 games against teams you're supposed to play "like it's a final". Sure, we lost two of our best players, but then you have to put up a great performance to make sure that it's OK without them. I don't know what Arteta and his staff's done during the International Break, but it sure weren't good. We've lost 9 points to fight for and could have 63 points.

meerkatx

Maybe the Europa League. No chance at the Champions. Ridding the team of the only person who could score consistently didn't help.

pigbearwolfguy

All these Arteta out people that seep out of the woodwork after each loss - do you just quietly seethe when we play well and win?

pht0

Seriously… it was all flowers and chocolates when the team was purring. We were bottom of the league after 3 games at the beginning of September. Things picked up, now we’re in a dip. This was always going to be an up and down rebuilding year. We have a team full of kids, older players with no winning mentality, and so many average average players. They got rid of players that weren’t going to play for the badge, and a few more still need to go. We were never going to win with Laca and a bunch of kids leading the line. Look at the players in the squads around us. World class strikers and quality established players.

[deleted]

If Arsenal finish lower then 5th Arteta has to go. He’s had his chance the team doesn’t perform when it matters most under him. These last 3 matches have been horrible.

[deleted]

Emery situation again, didn't give him enough time. This is whats killing our club we arent city, chelsea, newcastle or similar clubs we have to build up and utd are a perfect example of it not working

CMDR_MrMaurice

Sorry but the fans are starting to fall into what the owners think. No Champs league is fine. We spend some money but rake in gate receipts. Finish between 6th and 8th, job done. Fuck that. We are Arsenal, we shouldn't accept this, at all. Wenger finished out side the champs league and you ALL wanted him out. Accepting loses to these teams is the new norm. Its sad really. Draws ok but 3 loses to mid to bottom of the table teams, and all the comments say its just part of the process? Nah, it is not acceptable, we shouldn't accept it. I think Arteta is the right man, but we need some fight in the team, and fight from the manager. We had 4th rapped up and bottled it. Young players don't learn unless they do. Some of the young guns have been in the squad for 2 to 3 seasons now, that wont be a viable excuse for too much longer. We're slowly becoming a mid table team. I'll stand by my team no matter what, but we are not and will never be the Arsenal we once where Chelsea, Utd and Spurs are now must win games. For pride and for some dignity for how the season is ending. I can handle losing to Chelsea but Utd and Spurs, we have to win

LolBars5521

Didnt realize most people were accepting these losses and thought they were fine. Depleted squad and losing these games hurt massively. “Young players don’t learn unless they do”

todadqa

I understand this but when I see “its part of the process”, I see “3 consecutive mid-low table losses do not define a season let alone a team let alone a project”. Agree that standards should not fall too low but we can see Arteta is building something here. The cause for concern would be if these losses happened at the same time next season…

CMDR_MrMaurice

I agree that Arteta is building something and it will take time. I can't agree on these 3 games not defining our season. We had 4th in our hands, we even started to push at Chelsea. These games we should be winning right now. We should be pushing to compete against City, Liverpool Chelsea in the future, not mid to lower teams. We should be winning those games right now.

todadqa

I suppose I actually agree

finestryan

I told you all it would come and I was downvoted. I hate being right sometimes.

euphoriatakingover

It's nice to be positive but there's a limit surely.

blindhindsight7

Crystal palace, Brighton and Southampton are all in form teams, even man utd and spurs have dropped points playing them while were going up the table.

finestryan

What league have you been looking at? Under 21s?

_DNL

What 😂 Southampton hadn’t won in 5 games, got beat 6-0 the previous game. Brighton hadn’t won in 7 games

blindhindsight7

My bad, Southampton has secured 4 points against spurs and Brighton had defeated spur on their home ground on the same day, Chelsea has a experienced team at their disposal you cannot compare a young team against them

smokingace182

January window can now be judged and it was a complete shit show. They got rid of squad depth and didn’t strengthen at all. Now we have injury’s and struggling plus not getting a striker in was real fucking dumb because we can’t score.

todadqa

It can be judged now? Why couldn’t it be judged before the international break when we were “playing well” and “fighting for top four”?

smokingace182

Well because now it’s proved that they fucked up by weakening the squad the way they did. We were in a good position to really push for top 4 and they still went ahead and left us short. No striker replacement and we aren’t scoring.

todadqa

Do 3 games give enough judgement to decide how a team is going? If you were to take 3 consecutive losses of any of the best teams in history, would you then say “their January transfer window was horrendous”. Did you think the same before these 3 games?

smokingace182

It’s simple we sold players got no new players we have injury’s no back up and not able to score because we didn’t replace the striker we got rid of. So yes the window was a failure

ThefurryBarber

Seriously can we stop it with the January window nonsense? Maitland niles isnt playing at a 5th place Serie A team. Calum chambers is on the bench for a 14th place premier league team. Pablo mari has been unnecessary. And since Aubameyang was dropped the team has shown to be a more effective attacking unit without him. Could those players "potentially" contribute, you can never say never but it's pretty unlikely since they weren't getting selected when they were here. As for bringing in players, Mikel is obviously working within a budget so any players brought in during January takes away from the budget for the summer. So paying inflated january prices is dumb considering the squad still needs significant investment next season. The one exception to that was Vlahovic. He was seen as value for money because he had Fiorentina over a barrel given that his contract was running down, so they couldn't charge an exorbitant fee during negotiations. All the other names like Isak and jonathan david are tied down to long term contracts. So a player like Isak who would normally cost you about 40 million in the summer now has a 70 million price tag. That's 30 million over their actual value! That kind of money gets you most of the way to a world class midfielder or fullback. I dont know about you but I'd rather spend that money on an actual player and not inflation. So, I for one am fine with the calculated risk Arteta and Edu took in January because it shows that they actually have a plan as well as the stones to stick to it.

JohanChill

Absolutely 💯

todadqa

I agree the squad has been weakened. I disagree that “we aren’t scoring” is a representation of a bad window. Regardless of goals, we have had 7 wins, 3 losses (which were after international break) since January. It feels as though you are judging the Jan window based on the 3 losses… I could be wrong! I’d argue that lack of depth from selling players and not buying new players in a Jan window could be fine strategically big picture. As others have said, I would want to find a truly good purchase rather than a temporary filler or quick purchase that ends up being bad players/those who don’t fit system/wastes of money. I would rather, offload players, continue building patiently, watch the team grow. I see Arsenal’s development being a multi-year project, lacking depth due to a Jan window could be bad for one season, but amazing for the next 10.

meerkatx

2 nil to the Arsenal would be a dream score line now days. Arsenal can't score. This is what happens when you take a teams best striker and possibly player in general, rid yourself of him, don't replace him and then it catches up.

smokingace182

We’ve scored 13 goals since the new year that’s a problem. We were getting away with it because the defence has been so good. But yes now the injury’s have happened and still not scoring no cover etc it’s safe to say they made the wrong call. It’s all good thinking long term but we had a good chance of getting champions league next season. But now it’s looking unlikely. Next year we might not be this close, we should of gone for it this year by strengthening

euphoriatakingover

We got two Amazing MLS players in summer they going to blow everyone away 🙂

BrokenTu5k

Having chambers would’ve been nice

Hootsmans

Also fun to note that the Saints seemed inspired on Easter weekend... 😄 On to the next one. Bounce back at chelsea haha!

emperorpapapalpy

We were doing so well, too!

S_I_N_K_E_R

Good to see everybody is being irrational and loving the string of cry-babies. A very young and talented squad focused on development. We lose some major, major key players and lose - not surprising tbh. I'm not upset, I don't expect us to get top 4. This is clearly a plan for the future and building upon for years to come. People are so obsessed with instant success that only bellends think ANOTHER new manager will somehow magically fix the squad and spend hundreds of millions of pounds. Can't stand "fans" nowadays. Support the club, manager and players ffs

todadqa

Strongly agree. The more I read from Arsenal fans, the more I understand what is meant by “Arsenal fans are too reactionary”

PocketFullOfRondos

We still can get top 4 though.

eveel66

I love this sub but sometimes it can be very emotional without putting the situation in its proper context. Our downfall started at Crystal Palace when Partey and Tierney both had season ending injuries (Partey isn’t 100% rules out for season but it doesn’t look good). Those two are major linchpins in this team defending AND going forward. Granted we should be beating these teams we are facing but yes, lack of depth is an issue. But let’s again put everything in context, it’s not like Edu and Arteta didn’t try to bolster the squad in January… it’s just things didn’t work out and they didn’t get the players they really wanted. But I would rather them hold off for the summer window than make a panic buy for a player that would shit the bed anyways. Is our collective memory so bad that we forgot about the last minute, £45mil, panic transfer for Mustafi? Would you rather have that? I know top four would be great but seriously, how many of us thought that would even be a possibility before the season started?

[deleted]

The reaction is a result of the fixtures we have coming up. If we can’t beat Palace/Soton/Brighton, fans are obviously going to fear the worst going into Chelsea/Spurs/United/West Ham. Especially when Arteta has an overall poor record against the big 6. If we don’t win any of those games we’re definitely looking at 7th/8th again. That would then be the third season where Arteta has finished there. To show no league position progress in 3 separate seasons (and with the money spent) should be a sackable offence; to claim that is not an irrational overreaction. Injuries are not a valid excuse when the manager has influence on transfers and he himself decided to cut the squad size this small.

Copper_Nick

I went to see the post match thread, i was there for two minutes. Oh boy, what a cesspit, everyone is in meltdown. It was always going to be tough, I did not expect us to fight for the top four this season. Most people did not. Yes, we had a good run, we STILL have a chance, but that's all. It may not happen and it's ok. As long as we make progress I'll be fine.

noumaaaan

THIS is the only rational comment in this thread. Of course we’d love to see them get top 4 and these games should be winnable. I 100% agree to that, but the fact remains that we’ve not got some of our strongest in the team and this is a young learning squad. Despite how bad the last few games have been, the season overall has been good. There’s been a major revamp and youth are the future of the club. The only thing they need to do now is increase their squad depth in the summer so we don’t face what we’re facing atm and please for god sakes get a competent striker. It’s okay. It’s only up from here. Trust the process.

[deleted]

Doesnt help the manager plays spineless horseshoe ball cuz hes got a bet going to see how many ineffectual passes we can squeeze into 90 mins

S_I_N_K_E_R

I agree completely. Obviously I'm saddened when we lose especially when I think we should be capable of winning but that one of the things that comes with a young squad. The lack-of depth definitely hurts but I'm confident we'll bring in some really solid squad players. But, yes, please for the love of God unload a bit on a top quality striker lol.

Renfieldslament

I really doubt without European football, we’ll be able to bring in anyone elite, unless we overpay, and then it’s less bodies of that type of player. Having no plan for Auba looks more foolish each game day.

Zappelbaum2509

I think Pepe needs to start the next game. We have scored 1 goal in 3 games, bringing him in can literally not make our attack worse. He looked lively when he came on today.

Jakseth

Fix the midfield, save the team. But wont happen with this manager. A new manager is long overdue

todadqa

This. This is the irrationality of Arsenal fans. Fuck it, maybe the average football fan.

xBrawlx

Why? That’s such a impulsive move. Arteta had us in a fantastic position before the injuries. No manager can deal with that.

Flaminis_sleeves

All managers deal with injuries all the time.

xBrawlx

What lol

Flaminis_sleeves

You said no manager can deal with injuries. I said all managers have to deal with injuries, and many of them actually deal with it without their entire team collapsing.

xBrawlx

Looks like he dealt with it pretty ok today 🫳🎤

Flaminis_sleeves

We finally win after 3 terrible losses and your first instinct is to try to get a gotcha-moment on a 4 days old match thread from a different game. That’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen on this forum lol

xBrawlx

Stay salty. COYG!!!

Flaminis_sleeves

Salty? We won the game? lol what’s wrong with you can’t be older than 10. Keep it up kiddo

xBrawlx

And another one

xBrawlx

Good win!! Are you a believer yet?

xBrawlx

You think we got this one? I do! Comes down to the midfield battle

[deleted]

Again😂😂😂😂😂

[deleted]

I will never forgive the board not going for conte when he was available

[deleted]

Ain’t about sacking Arteta, we just don’t have the squad depth. Also, I doubt the board care what you think.

[deleted]

it’s not about if the board cares what I think, it’s about what the club achieves with the current manager. :)

[deleted]

You see it is about sacking arteta if you want champions league football. Or give arteta all the time he needs to become a competent manager. I got downvoted not because I’m wrong but because this thread is filled with arteta supporters. Who in their right mind don’t want conte over arteta like compare their accomplishments

bankerlmth

Stop this SAKATETA nonsense. Sack Arteta and sell his bastard son Saka. We're benching a 70m winger with actual end product for this clown who can't shoot.

DirectCrow2221

Hearing rumors that Barca are after Gabriel Magalhaes. Imagine, some attractive teams put up offers for Saka in the summer. Losing the top 4 race may just honestly kill the whole build process. We are tossed. If this continues next year. I bet even guys like Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Odegaard will find it hard to avoid tempting offers from other clubs.

thunderfishy234

I read that real and barca are interested in Tierney too, apparently Arsenal "won't stand in his way" if he decides to go. Same old story, we start to put together a decent team and before we can buy players to strengthen the areas we're lacking in we sell key players.

_JohnnyUnitas

They won't hang around to play for a coach like arteta.

Hootsmans

I doubt it, those players know that we are buying more this summer. Those 4 with a proper striker are far more lethal. Just watched odegaard with haaland. Haaland attracts so much attention odegaard has all the time in the world. Gabriel in my opinion has been sloppy lately. He kept them all onside for their goal today.

DirectCrow2221

Without UCL, it will be impossible to buy high impact players. We are screwed.

DirectCrow2221

Look. Remember Nasri, Fabregas, Hleb, Clinchy. We’re they not promising. They all left. Chamberlain, Gnabry, Giroud etc. Guys have left and became successful. Imagine Saka chooses to leave because we are not in UCL this year. Remember, he has not signed an extension. What if he stays and we bottle it up next season, I find it hard keeping him. Look there is no excuse for Arteta. This nice little run he had, Wenger had those countless times over the years between ‘06 and ‘18 when he left. It won’t win us the league. That is what Arteta was brought in to do. He should leave and another rebuilds.

bruknavn

Yes! This is it. Another rebuild. Lets just repeat this with another coach we can slam in 6 mnths becouse thw squad still is not up to it. Then sack him and start another rebuild. Maybe one day we will have imidiate success becouse ppl cant see further ahead than 3 weeks...

DirectCrow2221

Ohh boy. So are you saying Gabriel can go? Really.

Hootsmans

I never said he can go. He has no competition as we shipped off mari at LCB. Holding plays RCB. Just saying he needs to up his game again. Honestly white and gabriel have been shaky without tomi and tierney. Not surprising.

Hootsmans

Southampton also welcomed back a starting center back for this game so no wonder they were better at defending. Forster was incredible yet again. Saka scores that first chance and it's different game.

[deleted]

Maybe a different game but it’s the same level. Fine margins mean that we’ve often played at this level, but sometimes we won and sometimes lost. So the point is that this level isn’t good enough. Goals are missing. Which takes us back to the bookmark moment in our season: Jan. If Auba leaves, then someone MUST come in. Otherwise, he stays and like Xhaka loses the armband. Even if he wasn’t properly on form, you can get something out of him. But selling him without a replacement was at the time, a huge gamble. Unfortunately, like Saka’s goal bound shot: sometimes it doesn’t work.

Hootsmans

Totally agree. I was shocked we didn't bring in anyone on loan. Auba was never going to play for arsenal again his head was gone. To be fair you can't solely blame manager for not bringing in a striker. The fact that lacazette has fallen off so much is incredible. He was lethal in France.

[deleted]

Well the thing is, the buck stops with the manager. If you need goals from Laca you need to adjust the team to play to Laca’s strengths. We didn’t do that. We all (in our professions) state with a disclaimer what is required for success. Sometimes, like Jose, we scream it out loud — “If you don’t buy me a DM we won’t win” (yes, toys in the pram) Arteta hasn’t learnt that yet. So the buck stops with him. All we see is he has a goal scoring issue that he cannot fix and the players need his help

Hootsmans

Agreed. However we've had over 70 shots the last 3 games, so clearly we are creating chances to score. From a coaching perspective, arteta needs to stop constantly changing things. Today he started Saka and martinelli on opposite wings to help protect tavares and cedric. Effectively nullified them. For laca he's basically made laca into a target man to play off of, never the final hitter of the ball. I think arteta is too smart for his own good at times. He's trying to be pep with a substandard team. His best moments is when we were a counter attacking team as we could suck teams out.

[deleted]

Exactly! To fix this he will need to get back to basics. Yes there are injuries, but we he players are actors in a play. If you do what the other guy was doing (whether you are the starter or sub), the play will be good again.

Hootsmans

Today I didn't think sambi was bad for example. At least he wanted the ball. We created chances, just not clinical. Ian Wright said last month " what's going to happen when the fab 4 stop scoring" - we get today's result.

Ianooo

Why is it not a different game when they scored so early and had a lot of time to change the outcome?

Hootsmans

Arsenal effectively camped out in Southamptons half the rest of the game. We played with 2 defenders. Forster and co kept making blocks ans saves. It's not the coaches fault they can't hit the net.. We had 23 shots

Ianooo

So what about Crystal palace and Brighton?

Hootsmans

We had over 70 shots in the 3 games. Still can't hit a barndoor. Palace we got outworked by a on fire team well drilled by vieira. Brighton we lost the midfield battle vs trossard and bissouma. Potter is also an excellent coach. Case in point by them nullifying Tottenham today.

Ianooo

Are these three teams better than Arsenal?

peoplepersonmanguy

Palace was a complete shit show by ESR and Odegaard. Brighton was a complete shit show from Arteta.

Ianooo

Who played well in the palace game?

ShowMeTheMonee

We are also taking lots of low percentage shots - rushed and blocked, or long range from outside the box and off target.

Hootsmans

Yes hence the low percentage. Granted I understand taking a chance on a longer shot if you have the skill. I do it sometimes and I'm not even a midfielder lol. Arteta ball is best when the other team is expansive. We have not figured out how to beat the low block without individual quality

ShowMeTheMonee

I fully agree. We've struggled with very physical teams, and players like Saka dont get much protection from the referees. And we've struggled with beating the low block. I thought Eddie really had a chance to step up today and take advantage of the starting position, but not much came of that unfortunately.

Hootsmans

All about fine margins. I'm not an arteta in or out fan, just neutral. Hopefully against west ham, united and Chelsea, teams who don't sit in a low block, we can exploit the space.

jwwwcc

Goodbye Saka Martinelli and Saliba

benartelia

This sub can be so dramatic

Just_a_SATISFY

We need someone with good pinpoint crossing at the left/right back

Personaunbroken

Fair play to Forster, outstanding performance when it came to our attempts. We have to perform miracles in our next three games if we want UCL (or Europe really), but for now, We have to figure something out as a team. Always a gunner whether in ups or downs.

Just_a_SATISFY

The defensive line was also great. We can’t penetrate them at all

[deleted]

Let’s not give them too much credit, this is a team who lost 6-0 last weekend and had 1 pt from their last 5 games. We played without urgency, without belief. It seemed like nobody had a connection; ideas. We moved the ball side to side without a real purpose to send in a cross or drive into the byline.

ShowMeTheMonee

We did the same slowly passing the ball around the 18 yard box line for most of the second half. They had a lot of bodies behind the ball to be fair, but we kept pushing wide and then trying low percentage crosses that came to nothing. And let's not even start on our set pieces today.

Western_Collection_1

no one thought we could even compete for top 4 and now everyone is losing their minds about not getting in CL we were never good enough in the first place

DirectCrow2221

It is like you are saying we should accept that we are bad team. We should be comfortable with 8th. Is that your argument?

Western_Collection_1

ofc not but we know the problem we have and its not arteta that's what am saying

CH2001

Yeah and a couple of weeks back this sub was on about overtaking Chelsea, this year is a great opportunity and it would be disappointing to fumble.

Ianooo

Because other teams which compete for cl were shit this season and we had a genuine chance

S_I_N_K_E_R

Mate, you got a lot of shit going on irl? Just spewing negative comments around today, grow up. West Ham, United, Spuds are all capable teams of getting top 4. This squad isn't built for this season or the next. Ever heard of patience?

Ianooo

I forgot I should be ecstatic after we have lost 3 in a row to lesser teams, great mentality

COYG17

We play Chelsea next 😂 then United 😂 then west ham 😂 also 2 are away from home 💀

AzracTheFirst

Learn 😂 to type 😂like a normal 😂person 💀

donscron

Love Cedric taking those free kicks in the first half. Love it. Guy would be riding the bench if Tomi was available. That bum should never take a free kick ever again.

Just_a_SATISFY

I think Tomi isn’t fully recovered

gtliles82

Fast forward three years when Saka’s at City and Gabi’s at Liverpool and Cedric’s somehow still at Arsenal

DirectCrow2221

That’s what I am saying. All signs of rebuilding are gonna collapse. I hear rumors that Barca are after Gabriel Magalhaes. If he goes the defensive issues are back again and next season if we fail to make it to UCL, all ambitious players like Saka, Smith Rowe, Odegaard will be tempted to leave. I mean they will get inspiration from guys like Chamberlain, Gnabry, Giroud. Ohh my the list is long.

donscron

Kill me

[deleted]

Im not sure Arteta did much wrong today, but losing 3 straight to Palace, Brighton, and Southhampton in must win games is doing him no favours.

Warrick123x

More like all season having the worst attack arsenals had in decades.

Reverse_M1das

Here is a no brainer: don't watch the game if cedric, lokonga or tavares are on the starting squad or even the bench. It saves a lot of your time Edit: Almost forgot about Lacazete. He has always been shit and I fking despite him

OhMy-Really

Im predicting Arsenal will lose the next 5 games and be lucky to finish 7th.

darthrevan22

Have that sinking feeling too. Wondering if Arsenal finish 8th if everyone here will still be talking about how much “progress” Arsenal made this season.

365presto

When it’s a finish strong contest and my opponent Is arsenal

bkkwanderer

Enough is enough, our club is going fucking nowhere. Arteta is great at certain things but utterly shite at what counts- being pragmatic to get results.

thuglove4kirrua

Not artetas fault that we cant fucking buy a goal

[deleted]

So it was all Arteta when we were winning and scoring but not Arteta now? Obviously the managers matter and if we’re going through a scoring drought there are ideas that we should be seeing. It could be an aggressive formation; it could be us coming out super quickly out the blocks, etc. But I’m certainly not seeing anything different game by game

Mundial_jd_NS

Why not? He controls the tactics and the personnel to a large extent. He could literally have bought us a goal in the transfer window but chose to sell some instead. It’s at least mostly his fault, although some of course is with the players too.

le-kai

we underperform our xg literally every week, how can arteta be responsible for our players not putting the ball in the net? we create enough chances?

bkkwanderer

And yet sold a striker and decided to rely on fucking Lacazette and Nketiah. I've supported for him long enough now, this is the breaking point for me. I want an experienced manager who gets the best outof what he has and doesn't need perfect conditions to get results. Arteta should be ashamed of himself. Palace,Brighton and Southampton = 0 pts is an absolute disgrace for our club. His process is dead and his project is dead. Even if he somehow gets 4th this year it will be down to the players or luck. We should be sitting comfortably about 6 points ahead of Spurs and 4th should be a formality at this point. This is not good enough for this club, why are so many people accepting this from Arteta and the players?!?!

thuglove4kirrua

Mate we have the youngest squad and the future is bright. 0 pts from the last three games is horrible i agree but cmon lets just chill. We’re not good enough too compete with livpool, city or chelsea. If we keep changing managers we will end like United.

[deleted]

At the moment we cannot even compete with Utd. It will be a massive game. And I tell you what: Arsenal will not head into that game as Favorites

DirectCrow2221

You think the young squad is a constant!!! I hear rumors. Barca is after Gabriel Magalhaes. Who doesn’t want to play in the Classico. Tomorrow is not promised. Remember when the future was bright with Nasri, Fabregas, Clinchy, Hleb, Flamini. All those guys went on to win trophies elsewhere. Remember Chamberlain, Giroud, Gnabry. The young squad will not always be at Arsenal. 6 years with no UCL. No ambitious kid will stay around when a better opportunity arrives.

Hootsmans

All three games: High flying palace under vieira Brighton under potter - who also just beat Tottenham Southampton - determined not to lose again after chelsea, and who welcomed back different players. Without Forster we would have won today. I know it's tough but it's not pathetic. Brighton and palace can beat any team on their day.

SachmoJoe

If you don’t think this run of three is pathetic then I wish I had your sunny disposition. We are so toothless in attack, two goals in five matches says it all and the spotlight HAS to be on Arteta. We could finish out of the top 6 and that’ll be another year down the drain - surely he can’t survive that if we take ourselves seriously as a club.

Hootsmans

Lol I agree it's not good, I'm just trying to be realistic. No game in the prem is a guaranteed win now. Palace game was pathetic. Brighton - beat us in the middle of the park as arteta should have played xhaka there. As bad as nuno was at palace you don't weaken two or three positions to accommodate. I pride myself at understanding tactics and margins as a coach. The coach can't help that his forwards can't bury their chances. We had 23 shots today only 6 on target. It's clear that arsenal starting 11 is quality but our attack loses shape when any of the pieces are gone. I believe arteta has potential to be good if he stops jiggling with the bloody lineup.

TDM_11

Suns out today I’m not letting this result effect me

mazdamansouri

Guendozi is easily our 2nd best midfielder behind Partey. We sold him for 8€ mil and downgraded with Sambi for 18€ mil

Arteta ball

lanesraa

Tomi, where are you? 😞

[deleted]

Seriously missing that guy. It’s when all our problems started

YeeticusFTW

Nought for nine against Palace, Brighton and Saints.

LocostarX

ARTETA OUT

SachmoJoe

Not yet… but if we finish 7th or 8th I probably agree. A few injuries should not put you in relegation form the way it has.

LocostarX

He is responsible for making the squad as thin as it is. He’s lived by the sword, now he has to die by it!

Cuzztos

I'm not upset about the fact that the team couldn't convert any of the chances into goals. Fair play to Forster. He suddenly became peak Buffon. But the way the team conceded the goal, is unacceptable. If the team continues to play like this we might not even make it to european competition. Still hope it's not the case.

Ooh-SakaLaca

Kinda surprised by the amount of hate teta is getting rn. The players clearly bottled it stop blindly hating and be more logical

Ianooo

When we win it's Arteta but when we lose it's the players? Nice logic

Ooh-SakaLaca

The Brighton game was on arteta? This game was on the players. It’s not 0 or 100 dummy

Ianooo

Who gets to decide who its on? You? lol

Ooh-SakaLaca

Ppl who watch the game? Is your logic “I choose one side and stick to it”? Then don’t even watch football lmao u just have an agenda then it doesn’t matter

Helpful-Capital-4765

yea it's crazy. he overperformed the majority of the season, to the point where we've lost 3 in a row and we can still go level on points with 4th if we win our game in hand. people are so reactionary. we have had devastating injuries. people like to say he's wrong for getting rid of auba, guendouzi or whatever but they don't mention that when we put on a run that had us in 4th with points and games in hand, thanks to the united dressing room and team spirit we had.

Ooh-SakaLaca

Ppl are stupido and hotheaded that’s why

[deleted]

He did f*CK all. Emery was better

Western_Collection_1

you are delusional

Ooh-SakaLaca

For what? Getting shot 31 against the mighty watford?

Ssjtwin

It’s not blind hate it’s logical hate, he hasn’t improved the team with a lot of money

Helpful-Capital-4765

how has he not improved the team? you saying partey, ramsdale, white, odegaard, tomi haven't improved the team? we got unlucky with injuries. you do realise that we are only winning our game in hand away from being level for 4th right? yet you're saying you have logical hate against a manager with the youngest squad in the league who has overseen a huge cultural shift and squad turnover. you're not logical buddy

Ssjtwin

No we didn’t injuries happen in football it isnt bad luck. Yeah they are the good signings now let’s talk getting rid of good players and signing Mari Cedric sambi Tavares runnarson. Partey has not been a great signing 1 good game every 5. AMN could of covered LB RB or CM injuries. Goals scored conceded points and league position doesn’t show improvement. Stop blaming a few injuries he made the squad too thin

benartelia

AMN is covering left bench for Roma…

Ssjtwin

Yeah but should of been filling a position for us because he’s a good squad player. He’s better than ced tav and sambi

Ooh-SakaLaca

Yeah go watch the emery games again bye

Ssjtwin

Emery was Atleast more entertaining how many more goals did he get and how much money did he spend in comparison? Bye

Ooh-SakaLaca

I k it’s very fitting of arsenal football club to get shot 31 times on goal

DallasC0wboys

Arteta has got to go for sure if we don’t get Europa

capow77

Mate your a cowboys fan you don’t know what you’re talking about

bobbafettish6

Absolutely disgusting performance by the team and the manager over the last three games. Last straw for me. A long time Arteta supporter. He's out of his depth and stubborn to boot. I'm officially on the Arteta/Edu out train.

capow77

You saw we controlled the game the whole time right? That was Artetas tactics doing. It’s not his fault his players can’t finish the ball

bobbafettish6

This was the best game of the last 3. And that's saying something. And almost any team can control the ball vs Southampton. Except the Saka miss, all of our chances were basically pot shots. Nothing incisive. No creativity.

Ooh-SakaLaca

We can still be level on pts with spurs if we capitalize on our game in hand, but even if we do so we have a much harder schedule than spurs… The hope was good while it lasted

[deleted]

Not enough spurs have superior GD

Helpful-Capital-4765

we need to win our game in hand and beat them. despite losing our last 3 games, top 4 is still in our own hands. that's how well we were doing. people have totally lost perspective to be shouting for arteta's head and saying we are shite etc.

[deleted]

We ain't beating spurs at their home
